yea, i think that there will be quite a lot of players as it is,and we must prevent as much clutter on the screen as possible, i don't feel that it is a good idea having npc's following you around the entire game, just more messy clutter to look at while playing..

Pokemon Blue was the first i played, then i played all of the official pokemon games that came out on Gameboy colour and Gameboy Advance I played a little bit of all the pokemon games that came on the DS but i didnt love them as much as the GBA versions...
Ive also played a few unofficial pokemon games - Jade, Chaos Black, Diamond (for gba), ShinyGold, DarkCry, and pokemon Purple

Blastoise is a stronger pokemon than Charizard but i choose Charizard as water type pokemon are easy to capture in the game early on, but fire pokemon we have to wait for a lot of the game to be over to encounter wild fire pokemon, so id choose charmander to start training a fire pokemon early in the game as i can catch a grass and water pokemon fairly easily early in the game
