3rd gen all the way. While i did get much excitement from the first two, nothing compares to the third gen. I actually caught every pokemon in the third gen using ruby ans sapphire. Most of my favorite pokemon come from that generation.

General Chat / Legendary Question« on: April 22, 2010, 10:13:56 PM »
Hey yall i just had a quick question about legendaries in this game. So what ive seen so far is legendaries will not be catchable but they can help you in quests which i understand and i actually think thats a good idea, but what i wanted to know is what is this games definition of legendaries? I have always thought of legendaries as the end game pokemon that have uber stats like lugia/groudon/palkia and special event guys. What im trying to get at is, will pokemon such as the three dogs or three birds or three regis also be included in this legendary no catch list? Because in my team that i hoped to have in this game i included raikou, who is in my top 5 pokemon, and im wondering if I will have to pick a replacement. Thx in advance

Ideas & Suggestions / Re: Trainer Specializations« on: April 22, 2010, 02:13:45 PM »I like how some people consider themselves specialist trainers, like fire-type, water-type, etc. So, I was thinking it would be cool to earn points as you level up or something (i don't know how you level up or if you even do). Then you can spend those points into improving the types of attacks you specialize in. So you specialize in fire, you can put points into improving your fire damage. Or say you specialize in ice-types, you can put points into decreasing your enemies speed with your attacks. Those are just examples you can come up with much more cool abilities like that I am sure. Oops sorry haha, should have searched first your right 670

Ideas & Suggestions / Re: Advanced Battle Options« on: April 22, 2010, 05:17:55 AM »
Wow this might be the greatest battle idea i have ever seen. It would take pokemon battles to a whole new level with all the choices. People would actually have to strategize past picking a move thats super effective. I had actually thought of something like this before and wondered if they would put something like this in the future DS games. I full agree with this suggestion.

When you say earn points when you level up i assume you mean your pokemon right? Are you saying they should gain a certain like specialization point everytime they level up? Im just a bit confused on your idea. If each pokemon gained maybe like 1 specilization point everytime they leveled up and the trainer could use those points in a special menu to upgrade things like you said, that would be very interesting. I kind of like that idea. And in this menu maybe each pokemon had different things they could upgrade like fire damage or crit chance. If this would be put it i would think it would create a whole new playing experience with people being able to customize their pokemons abilities beyond what any of the handhelds have done. |
