Ive heard a rumor that females lean slightly more defensively stat wise and males lean towards the attack stats. From what ive heard it is a very small amount but if someone could confirm or deny it id appreciate it (me and my friends have been arguing about it).
It always seemed that way to me. I can 1 hit a wild male pokemon 90% of the time, then a hit a female with the same pokemon and level, it survives like 60% of the time. madness

You seem to know your stuff.
I'd pick my favorite type if I were you.
It's all about having some fun anyways.
I don't know a whole lot about battling, i always owned my friends back in the day but there wasn't much strategy involved.
I plan on learning from my mistakes and getting better, i don't want to study too much haha.

Seems like every time i battle a wild female pokemon it has more hp/def than the males.
