Roleplay Corner / Re: A useless motivational post
« on: December 07, 2014, 05:49:47 PM »
I would love to see the site gain some activity again. As far as roleplays go for myself, I have an idea for something new myself, hopefully something a bit different than the usual stuff, but I haven't seen enough interest in the RP section to make me feel like it would be worth my time, seeing as I'm extremely busy.

Roloc, that's freaking awesome. I really missed pokemon the other day personally.

And welcome Chiller! I love dark types myself, but I think it's safe to say that someone  here  *ahem* Tickles *ahem* likes them a bit more.

Sweet, thanks. I wouldn't have been able to get on much until tomorrow anyway, so that works out perfectly.

I had been around for a while, but  I too noticed the lack in activity and eventually fell off. I like what Tickles is saying, but regardless, if we want to look into getting it back online, I'd be willing to help in any way I can. Even though I don't really play pokemon any more, I'd still definitely be up for some battles and such. Plus, now that I'm serving as a TO for all sorts of games, I'd be interested in getting something special started up here.

I'm personally hoping this is the only DLC for the game, but I'm still rather excited for Mewtwo. We were already planning on getting the WiiU version, so this is just icing on the cake. And I've finally settled on Yoshi as my main.

For Bowser Jr., you can either beat classic as Bowser on 9 difficulty, or play 100 matches. Duck Hunt is unlocked after playing 110 matches. I just finished unlocking everyone myself.

I'm just about to unlock Duckhunt, but right now I like Link, Robin, and Zero Suit Samus the most. I really like Bowser too, but not enough to main him at this point.

Yes, we could definitely use people! Sign ups have actually begun here: http://smashboards.com/threads/after-hours-i-sign-ups-now-open-date-tba.370859/

If anyone is interested let me know. Feel free to drop by that thread as well!

I'm going both console and portable most likely, and I decided to go ahead and host the tournament, but to ensure that we could fill up a bracket, we decided to announce and host it here: http://smashboards.com/threads/announcing-after-hours-an-all-new-tournament-series.370566/#post-17698142

Even though it is mainly taking place on another forum, if anyone here on PU is interested (I did mention it first here anyway), then just let me know and I can reserve you a spot, before sign ups even actually open over on the other site.

Yeah, I have to agree with Roloc. The more I see of Greninja, the more outclassed he unfortunately seems. On another note, how many people would be interested in partaking in a PU Smash 3DS Tournament? I may be interested in hosting one if there's any interest in it.

Bowser looks OP like crazy from the little I've seen. I personally wouldn't be surprised to see him nerfed a bit (he needed a buff though, but this is a bit too much in my opinion, but I'll save my real judgement until I play it). Regardless, he definitely looks fun to play. I'm so excited for this game, and in fact I even joined Smashboards this week, as well as preordered the game today.

Haha, well I actually meant the post game stuff. I don't have a problem with the story itself, that;s no issue at all where time is concerned. I don't know, the series has just lost a lot of my interest recently.

I was planning on getting the WiiU version only, because I had kind of lost interest in my 3DS (especially including the Pokemon games, I know this is a Pokemon site and I'm still looking forward to the MMO, but there's too much time involved in the handheld versions for me at this point). After playing the demo on the 3DS for smash, I'm sold. I now want to play my 3DS more than ever, and I want smash for both consoles. Problem is, I'm out of money! I may trade in some old games though in order to get it, because I can't wait for Christmas to roll around for me to pick up my copy.

As of right now, I'm fond of Link, but that's likely because he's rather familiar. He was, after all, my main in Brawl. I really like Mega Man as well, but I need to play with him more. My friends all love the Villager.

Username:WhistfulSoul
Race:Human
Name: Terryn
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Personality: Terryn believes in a few philosophies: you can’t blame a man for trying, and you must respect him for doing so; what someone doesn’t know won’t hurt them, until you draw blood; do what you must to survive, no-holds-barred, especially when you’re backed into a corner; respect only those who have the power to take yours; and trust no one but those who do not trust you either. As such, he is a very sly person, always saying one thing but meaning another, (a trick he learned from reading elven literature). Somewhere in the family tree above him was a supposed magician, but all that’s left in the family is very well practiced sleight of hand, and while Terryn prefers to stay under the tree of knowledge, he likes using sleight of hand tricks for both entertainment and stealing.
Technique: Terryn isn’t a particularly large person, so he prefers to stay away from direct conflict. He’ll try to pick off his enemies from a distance with his bow, or if he can he’ll stay in the shadows long enough to slit someone’s throat. If he does happen to get caught, his agility and litheness should keep him out of most harm’s reach, but he will stand and fight when needed.
Primary Weapon: Short sword and a kite-shaped buckler
Secondary Weapon: Bow and arrow; small throwing knives
Garments:Light gray and black stained leather over a thin layer of chain armor, basically exactly as the picture details. He also has a hooded scarf over his shoulders for a quick disguise during getaways.
Bio: Terryn was born into a poor family, in a shoddy part of the city of Ash, (which he liked to think the name came from the color of the town, and the mood it set upon the people, settling like ash from a volcanic eruption). He had several older siblings, most of which picked on him, so he taught himself a few tricks to survive. Food was scarce for him and his family, so he had to nab it from whomever or wherever he could, most times little bits from his older brothers, but sometimes he would sneak into the market and steal for his family. His parents talked to him about it once, but they knew that they needed it, so they didn’t question him. And besides stealing, he learned to run, sometimes from his brothers who wanted their food and other things back, but most times from the angry shop owners before he got good at what he did. Eventually he got good enough that the king thought it wise to send soldiers to apprehend him, because just a few days after his nineteenth birthday, he was on his way to the capital, Haven. He managed to get out by tricking the guards a few times, but they stopped him before he got far at all. Now that he’s been in the place for so long, he’s become part of the guard’s little talking group, and now that he’s heard of the king’s mission to rescue his daughter, he thinks he’s found both his way out of prison and his families way out of poverty.

Yep, pretty much. If you go the the profiles section here:http://www.pokemon-universe.com/index.php/topic,5076.msg133186/topicseen.html#new there's a template that you are required to use. You can just copy and paste it into something like Microsoft Word and when you've filled it out just PM it to me.
