I know there is already a topic on people's favorite game, but I want to which people think is the hands down best in the series? For example, Red version will always be my favorite at heart, but I honestly think SoulSilver and HeartGold are the best of them. It has great updated graphics, 2 regions, a load of Pokemon, any pokemon can follow you, day/night/weather-related events, and lots of content. I also enjoyed the story. I don't know, I just thinks its the best as far as content and gameplay. Of course many might say Black and White is the best looking, I prefer the older Pokemon selection that I get in SS/HG.

to be honest, the one i loved the most was Platinum, i played it over and over and over again

Ofc Red will always in my heart, but my favorite version is Crystal. I like retro GBC style more then this DS style. Crystal is game with great storyline, a lot of Pokemon (yea a lot, 2 regions :D) and Crystal was the first game i played from Gen 2 so in this game i was introduced to new things. I remember i thought when Ruby and Sapphire was in development there will be 3 regions, but nothing of that.

Silver on GBC - such a massive step up from the red and blue versions in terms of graphics which was the biggest increase out of them. That and the second region in it made it so awesome.
DS id say is technicaly better but my favourite will always be the game boy silver version.
