You've hit the nail on the head. B/W had a lot of potential but they just make Ash look like a joke. He's not even like the original Ash, he seems way more childish, and I hate Iris. Cilan is *okay* but Iris is beyond annoying with all her criticism. The sad part is that she's not wrong. Like I said, Ash is a joke. His new rival pissed me off because lets be honest here, Ash should be somewhat known as a trainer. He's competed in a ton of leagues and tournaments and he's a Battle Frontier Pokemon Champion. Then Skip or Trip or whatever the guy's called just disrespects him like that. If that were me, I'd say screw all the Unova Pokemon, get back Charizard, Snorlax, Sceptile, and whoever else I need to pwn the league. I know it's a kids show and they have to keep the format going so it's stays alive, but my god, it wasn't this annoying when I was little.
I'm indifferent towards Iris and Cilan, but definitely prefer Misty and Brock. It's true, Paul annoyed the hell out of me as well ~_~ I understand that Ash needs to start over with new pokemon, otherwise he'd overpower the new trainers... but that doesn't mean that he has to be THAT weak. Haha the reason why we probably did not find it as annoying when we were little was probably because it was fresh and that we know a lot more things now compared to back then. Henceforth, Pokemon Special (manga) all the way! @ Shermana, haha it really sounded like Ash hit puberty x"D yet still turns back to the age of 10 @Darkstar64 ROFL ; so true, and possibly a time machine / a Cerebi to take Ash back to being 10 years old

Which is one of the reasons why I'm watching it in Japanese. Voices had changed since the beginning of Battle Frontier season (for the worse). However, the plot has improved and Ash is catching a lot more Pokemon than the other regions. Only sad part is that Team Rocket lost their comic relief.
One more thing about the anime I despise is that Ash's age turn back to 10 every region ~_~ and stupid (come on, how do you not know about type advantages and weaknesses!?). On another note, how the heck does Pikachu lose to Snivy? x"D

I don't know why, but I never watch the anime, yet I always want to watch the movies.
Haha movies are a lot better than the anime. Better graphics and animation. Plus the plot is intriguing. On topic: Yeah, I can't wait for it too! Trailer just makes me want to watch it a lot sooner!

@ Cortex J. Thank you so much for the welcome. I will be sure to do so, it is so interesting @ Hinagiku Thank you!! Haha it actually was my latest completion of 3D origami. Will be making a bunny next xD I actually want to start doing some 3D Pokemon origami, but those paper are hard to come by (especially small ones) with the right colors. Hehe I really need to use other starters for once xD I never used grass. And totally! Can't wait for Grey to come out! In the meantime I will settle for Pokemon Nobunaga no Yabou (Pokemon Nobunaga's Ambition - translated) that will be released in the next month or so.

Hmm, for Japanese version, I would have to say Spurt (opening 10) is one of my favorites!
Reason for it is that the beat is sick (good thing) and the rhythm is catchy. Plus the opening features all the Pokemon Ash had captured :]

Hi everyone, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintances. Recently, I have begun feeling nostalgic about Pokemon games and was in the mood to look for some MMORPG with Pokemon and I ended up here. So a little bit about myself, I am mixed Asian and currently a college student. I had been a big fan of Pokemon since it first came out and still am. The games and the manga keep bringing me back for more haha. One of my favorite hobbies is drawing (there is a link to some of my drawings in my signature). Others include playing soccer and doing 3D origami as well as singing (although I am horrible haha). Why the user name? It's the Japanese reading to the Chinese characters of my given name Hope that answers it Now onto Pokemon related topics... My favorite type is water (love them and my starters are always water type haha [though Squirtle is my all time favorite]). Favorite region would definitely be Kanto, though if I were going for plot, it'd have to be Unova. Favorite version is SoulSilver xD Don't get me wrong though, I also love Hoenn and Shinnoh! I'm also interested in everyone's favorite type, version, starter, and version. n_n
