Title: "Perfect Breeding" "Perfect Nature" What do you think about it?
Post by: PowerPoke on February 23, 2011, 04:46:57 AM
What do you think about "Perfect Breeding" and "Perfect Nature" I think it's wrong and mean! You should like pokemon for who they are. Not Ooo mine has a Sassy nature! It's better than yours! Or My Spiritomb has WonderGuard it is So much better than yours! Pokemon should be captured and loved. Like in the Theme song!

"To catch them is my real test!" "To train them is my cause!"

It's NOT.

"To Breed them to the bone is my real test!" "To perfect nature them is my cause!"

I NEVER EVER "Perfect breed" Or "Perfect Nature" Or anything like that! It's just wrong and cruel. Do you do that? I might make a Poll about this!

Just think about how the Female Pokemon will feel after having 100 babies for a Sassy nature  >:(

I have no feelings for computer programs.

That being said, if pokemon were real, breeding would be a lot like puppy mills.

Well, the only time i PB is when I want to battle competitivly. And I only really started that was about 3 weeks ago. Luckily, I mainly use ditto. I have a male Tyranitar named 'Land Shark' at lv81. its nature is for speed, but i put my EVs in Special/Attack. then I breeded two lavitars, both are attack natures, yet I haven't trained them yet. I was just glad that i caught my first lavitar and evolved it all the way io a tyranitar.

Pokemon Natures are actually a key part of competitive battling and are important to meddle with.

Oh and if you actually saw a Spiritomb with Wonder Guard that guy is a cheater.

Yeah that's a cool way of going about doing it, PowerPoke. Myself, I brutally train my pokemon like the slaves they are. If they disappoint me, I cut them to pieces and feed them to the pigs.  ;D

"Through your adventure we hope you will interact with all sorts of people and achieve personal growth. That is our biggest achievement"

That is what pokemon is for.  ;)

My personal growth comes from life.
My morals were nailed into me by my father. My drive was forged by the nameless face that nabbed my eye, and my strength comes from my Muay Thai and BJJ instructors.

I don't need pokemon to do that for me.

Some people find it difficult to make friends *Cough* Me *Cough*  :-\ So Pokemon HELPS to gain personal growth, I don't completly rely on it! Anyway, made up animals are alot nicer than the humans today! *Cough* Goverment *Cough* Politics *Cough* War *Cough* (I have a bad throat today  ;D) It's nice to take your mind off things like that and enjoy made up things :)

Well, breeding is an option I like in the game because it allows me to pass down good IVs and good natures. But from there to go shouting on all the roofs that my pokemon has a the 'perfect nature'? Nah, I train all my pokemon when their time comes, and it's usually my favourites first. I don't care about their nature and all that at this point. Once they hatched, they'll either be traded to someone who wants it, or I'll train it.

call me crule, but natures and IVs are very important in deciding who I use in my competitive team. I don't want a modest Roobushin, or Sassy Ninjask. see where I am coming from? and as for breeding, it is how my Scrafty learns most of his moves...

perfect breeding is something i never really do because it just takes time.  also i like to try and win with the ones i caught in the wild(something to do with the nostalgia of when i didn't understand any of it and just caught the pokemon i liked)

Well i do think its a little mean but, lets face it, Pokemon are ntohing but little pixles in a little chip, although i wish everyday that Pokemon were real, its not going to happen and we just have to face it. THEY. ARENT. REAL. Their little programs made by Nintendo in order to get one thing, MONEY. But I do agree with you, that seems a little mean, and i try to feel like my pokemon are little pets and freinds at times but i know they arent real. and if you go on and say stuff like "your just a kid playing this" and "your so stupid Pokemon cant feel emotions and you have no life"..... i have a question :)..... WHY THE F**K DO YOU PLAY THE GAME?! >:(

You're asking why someone would play Pokemon if they don't think Pokemon - a fictional kingdom of animals - have emotions? Seriously?

I IV and nature breed. In most pokemon mmo I usually see pokemon as tools/weapons anyway so it doesn't bother me at all. IVs and natures are important for competative battling and I am a BIG competative battler.

I know right and i'm one of those guys who basically said that, like wtf it's a pixel in a box who cares what you do with em' so if i want to pimp out a pokemon to get a certain nature i will do that so  8)

Yeah, but that was also a little computer program. I don't fight competitively because I'm lazy and don't care. If someone plans on playing the game that way, however, the logical solution would be to use the overall most powerful pokemon, with the right nature and  best stats for the job they'll be doing.

there is also no challenge once you get a pokemon to have the perfect nature and the perfect EV's and moveset and stuff. If you have the right team nothing can oppose you
My brother thinks its fun, like cheating in games, a game without a challenge is just thrashing the opponents.

The idea isn't to perfect the team for use against the game. The idea is to perfect the team for use against other players. PvP and all that.

Agreed, if you put a minimal amount of thought into raising a pokemon, the games are pretty easy. If you're against actual people though, you want to have the most effective pokemon you can get.

And even with the perfect moveset and stats, it's not guaranteed that you will win each and every match that you have against a player.

You have a much better chance of winning as opposed to someone using a team they caught in the wild with no priro EV training/ IV breeding.

Of, that of course! My point was that the fact being that there was no more challenge once you got the perfect stats and natures is not totally true. There will be people aiming for the 'perfect stats' and one will sooner or later have a match against them. Tournaments anyone? ;D

If you breed correctly, you can get perfect IV's. I breed Pokemon a lot, EV train them, and become seemingly invincible to most people I battle. Although, there are no such things as the perfect Pokemon or the perfect stats. Making the male and female hold certain items, (Such as Power items and Everstones), will help enormously in the process.

It may be a bit off-topic, but I'm looking for an IV/nature breeder in game (for a reward: money, pokémon, items). If you are interested, just PM me.

PS: you should consider changing the colours in your posts and sig, it's really hard to read with that dark blue background.

And yeah, I should change the color. It's really too bad I can't use blue... T w T

Here's my breeding technique.

1. Make 4 eggs of the same pokemon.
2. Hatch them and use PO team builder to find the minimum Ivs.
3. Raise all 4 to 31 lv.
4. Scan for the best.

Ill pos my best Iv scavange later on in the week.

Heres my breeding technique:
1. Plug AR into DS.
2. Choose pokemon desired.
3. Turn on Max IVs and choose desired nature.
4. Catch said pokemon desired at lvl 100 with max IVs.
5. Teach said pokemon the moves you want it to have using a protect TM AR code(Legit moves).
6. EV train using vitamins and some wild battling.
7. Perfect pokemon.
Title: Re: "Perfect Breeding" "Perfect Nature" What do you think about it?
Post by: Noah_Road on September 30, 2011, 06:16:54 AM
My breeding/training technique:

1.Use an IV calculator on whatever pokemon I need to breed
2. RNG the pokemon that I need (Much easier to do in gen 5)
3. Breed the IV calculated pokemon and the RNG'd pokemon
4. Breed about 6 copies of the draft pokemon I need
5. Calculate the IVs of the newly bred pokemon
6. Take the 2 pokemon with the best IVs from the 6 I just bred and rebreed
7. The end results in a perfectly IV bred pokemon 97% of the time
8. Equiped the right EV item (power brace, anklet, etc.)
9. EV train
10. Train to 100

I can't use ARs because I actively compete in wifi tournaments and the VGCs where they can tell if you've used an AR on your game.

lol

anyway i have always trained as the pokemon trainer Paul does in the episodes.
1go to the area where the pokemon is found at the lowest lvl possible
2catch as many as i can
3compare natures and stats
4release all who are demed irrelivent
5train the chosen
if u do it this way u'll only have only one or two pokemon u actually have to breed in the end
this is why i was so shocked when they introduced paul my lil sis was like omg tyrone u do that too.

oh and for the guy who started this post

"To catch them is my real test!" "To train them is my cause!"

how

Iv/Ev breeding/training is totally acceptable. After all, they were made to fight.Else they would not have attacks that devasting.

And To catch is my real test, maybe thats for ash.And id like to remind Ash loses 99999999999999% of the battles lol.
