Title: Talent trees
Post by: Gingimon on January 28, 2010, 05:53:13 AM
I dont know if this is included or has been discussed or what not, but in wow they have talent trees where you can customize what your character specializes in based on your level. i think this would be really sweet for example (this is probably a dumb 1 but just an example)

Like you could specialize in like pokeball proficiency- 1/5 you have a 5% higher chance to catch pokemon with all poke balls 2/5 10%...3/5 10%....etc.

i think these talents should only benefit in single player, because that would really throw a whole new spin on battlin, but either way i hope you liked it, if you never played wow here is an example of what it it:

I think the general idea is good and I think that's kind of one of the features they're implementing.

From the front page:

Ever wondered how it's possible that a trainer who has fought thousands of battles and captured dozens of Pokémon doesn't get any better in doing so? So did we...

Experienced trainers will be able to train Pokémon faster, catch Pokémon faster and much more. The choices you make on your journey will allow you to specialize your skills. Will you become the best?

Maybe it will have a more of a the more you use a skill the better it is.
1 the more times you throw pokeball the better at it you are and more likely you are to catch.
2 the more you run away from pokemon the better you are (I know no one ever runs right)
3 The more levels pokemon gain the better you are at training.
4 the more items you find (or pokemon drop) the more likely pokemon will drop items / money
5 the more times you change pokemon in battle the less likely you opponent will be able to
attack you before you choose attack
6 the more times you complete quests the better you are at completeing quests

Just kidding with that last one
