And there is also the mention of "Out of the fourteen games shown here, which is you favorite?", and after the removal of the double choice for Pokemon Blue, there are 13 left.
The OP never mentioned that the poll will have all the pokemon games...

im mostly into generation 1 pokemon, i have played gold and silver though and liked those, but i dont know much about anything past that so i have been trying to catch up on the other generations before this game comes out lol. playing ruby right now and pokemon dx gale of darkness. so far they seem pretty cool

I have two games on the list I like:
The first one is Soul Silver. Not only is it an upgraded/retouched version of Gold/Silver/Crystal, but I really like the features of the game. Crystal was great, I admit, but with the remake there was so much more possible to do in Kanto too. In crystal Kanto was something like a large abandoned region with only a few people staying there. (Everything was gone, safarizone, the graveyard tower became a radiotower you couldn't enter, etc.) Plus Soulsilver has the battle frontier and Pokéthlon. I could beat the crystal game with a single Single Pokémon called Feraligatr, that only knew HM moves called: Strenght, Surf, Waterfall and Cut. I'd even beat up Red with this thing. Anyways since the Pokémon from the trainers are pretty strong I'd say I also like the game for putting in strong Pokémon, making it easier to train your Pokémon to level 100.
Black, to be honest, at first when I saw the game I was doubting that I would ever buy the game. I mean, It would probably have the same old story about becoming champion, and being a single trainer that beats up an entire dangerous criminal organisation that wants to take over the region. Same story, EVERY SINGLE GAME, but just with other characters and other ways of domination the world. And when I saw the first Pokémon designs I was crying that it would be the worst ever pokémon video game. So when all the Pokémon were found that would appear ingame I was counting how many of the fully evolved Pokémon I liked. If it would be less than 6, that would mean I wouldn't buy the game, more than 6 and I would buy it. I found 9 Pokémon I liked so I decided I would buy the game.
The next problem came to my mind, which game should I buy. When I looked at the diffrence in appearing Pokémon it were those I didn't care about so I decided to look at what Legendary I liked the most. Reshiram came out, I ignored the little detail that made everyone think a bit odd. You'll probably know what I refer to.
Anyways, bought the game, started to play and the storyline actually got me very intrested, as it was not as you would usually do. I also liked the graphics. So now Black is one of my favourite games. ~

Like DarK_SouL, I would of also voted for Emerald alongside Sapphire. Those two are the best ones in my opinion. Although I haven't exactly played them all yes, only about half.

I would of put pearl and emerald if they were there. Also you should games that are on different consoles like pokemon battle revolution, snap, XD GALE OF DARKNESS!!!! and maybe even wii ware ones like rumble.

Loved the hell out of emerald.. teaming up with friends in highschool and taking on the computer in battle frontier was amazing

I have to agree, Emerald was a great game! I've played almost every game from the Gameboy Color, to the DS and Wii systems. Although, I think my favorite game is Pokemon White just because it was actually different from the rest of the games. Although, I can honestly say that many of my other favorites include Pokemon Yellow, (not Gold, Yellow, the one with Pikachu), Emerald, and FireRed Version. Pokemon Pearl was good as well, but maybe not a favorite. If Pearl had to be one of my favorites, it's because Lucario is in it! :D (I have an awesome Lucario that took me forever to breed to be one of the best Lucario you'll ever see! XD)

All of the freaking above, but I could only choose five. Just got black not too long ago, seems pretty awesome, but my stupid school's internet makes it hard to connect to WIFI, so no wifi battles, yet.

Its not the pokemon black you know, he is talking about a hack, a scary one at that, search fake pokemon games and look for pokemon black legend, then you will know.

emerald and fire red and platinum are my favs platinum first cuz its the first challenging one i've ever played i cant just go through the game with one pokemon liike in all the previous ones

I would vote Emerald, but since Silver were my first game + are actually my real fav, I vote for it :)

i love platinum, its the only game i was able to play again and again and again, each time witha diferent starter (yeah i did a bit of hacking but was only to get a pokemon in lvl 5, never Legend)

Older is better.
I enjoy playing Crystal all the time and it was the best game for GBC. The remakes of red and blue are better cuz of better graphics.
So the best is Crystal according to me.

Also, this poll is a gigantic mess. The games should be in chronological order and in pairs (Red/Blue, Yellow, Gold/Silver, Crystal, Ruby/Sapphire, Emerald, etc).
And one should probably even go further and make groups of three except for Yellow (R/B, Yellow, G/S/C, R/S/E, D/P/P, etc), because people are probably gonna pick the third game an- ARGH WHAT A PILE OF MESS!

Found my Silver again last night... Haven't played it in a while. Found it on top of my closet :o Not sure how it got there ???
I had, for some reason I am not sure of, most of my Dex finished... I just need 45 more, witch is mostly evolutions (How do I NOT have Nidoking???)... I even got Mew and Mewtwo O.o
If I could give some images as evidence, you would probably believe me.
So, for now, Silver stays as my favorite :D

Uhm... Snubull can be caught by the DayCare... I've done that a lot :)

In Japan, yes. In America and Europe, no. At least not in Europe. Not sure about America, cause I don't live there.
