And he banned all of you. Luckily we could kill him and unban everyone.


Ps. it was actually our (now ex-)moderator Carbon who went on a rampage. Apologies to everyone!

yeah i was worried too, lol i thought i was banned before the game even started that would have sucked. glad to see  everything back to normal. was Carbon banned? if not we will all just have to beat him many many times in battle when the game starts :-p

I don't think PU should have any moderators at all. It's better that the team itself controls the forum. People who add their work to the project have a stronger bond to it. Cases like these creates mistrust, and therefore only people that can really be trusted should have access to set a IP ban to begin with.

This is also one of the reason why the age requirement for pu-members should be upheld.

true but the PU team has enough to worry about with the making of the game they need people they can trust to run the forums

But... I wouldn't know what to do... I mean... Being a mod. would give me a lot of power... x3!

actually mods are still a good idea, just not with as much power as the rest of the team, basically ,only able to edit, delete and, move threads and such and maybe temporary ban control if that is possible

i've been thinking about this and i think  that Bakagringo has a point. for now we don't need any moderators because there isn't much activity, however this will change when we've actually released the game public. then we might assign some moderators.

These moderators will be only possible to moderate certain boards and not the whole forum (like a global mod). this will make it somewhat impossible to disable the forum or website.

That wasn't very cool what that mod did... Moderators should only be able to move/delete threads and temporarily ban users. Admins can obviously ban forever :D. I wish I could work for PU. I spend some time learning how to script this kind of stuff. Sadly that is only with a ROM file. But I been trying hard ;D.

You only find Zubat in caves(or near caves at night).  Zigzagoon and Bidoof were residing in almost every route.  Sure Zubat is in every game, but at least you don't see it everywhere you go.

Uhm... Well, this might be a little late, but I think I have some input on the moderator topic.

Yeah, we definitely don't need moderaters right now. For the current forum activity, the team can moderate the forums without the need to entrust anyone else with mod status, just yet. Most people who ignore the rules tend to get bored of nobody agreeing with them and leave, and those who don't typically get banned pretty fast. Meaning, the most active forum members don't do anything that reqires a moderater to jump in and save the day. Hell, half the active forum seems to me to be trustworthy enough to be mods. Point being, there isn't enough 'criminal' activity where we need moderaters.

That being said, we'll certainly need moderators once the open beta is released, and I don't think we'll have another carbon in the mix if we stick with the few people I'm thinking of. I also think that there should be seperate mods for the game and the forum, as well as people who moderate both. That way, responsible players of the game won't nessecarilly have to frequent the forums to be a mod in-game.

That is also the case. It's fine for now, but trustworthy moderators are undoubtably more efficient when talking about a larger group of people.

This doesn't look like one because, it is different. Here we have fun. We don't just play the game, we talk about it and many other things in the forum and chat. Even when the game isn't out, we can wait (well some of us) because while we wait we can talk to people who have AT LEAST one thing in common. We all love Pokemon. oh and most of us like Anime and Manga :)) but we also have more in common, and that is why we don't get bored, like at some Pokemon games, where they only talk about Pokemon. But it is still the most talked about topic, or is that Pre-Beta? Lastly, it is also not a "poke rpg game" it is Pokemon-Universe MMORPG.
