So, if you've been browsing around the forums a lot lately, I'm sure you'll have noticed that there are a few threads
asking for trades with completed trades. It occurred to me that, besides the few people who have posted, others may seek a Wifi experience with the community on Pokemon Universe. I fully promote this interaction. I've also been the staging point for quite a few trades.
You see, I wanna be the very best, like no one ever was... I really do enjoy breeding. I've also got a handy stash of items on me. (Many, many resets later, you'll find I've got most everything.) I'm always willing to trade, or breed, so long as you or I have the Pokemon necessary. 'Cept Legendaries, of course.
But, this isn't just for me. It's for anyone who enjoys breeding, trading, or battling in general over Wifi. I'll merge any other topics with this one to keep down the clutter. Especially once the forum becomes more active. So, if you want a place to connect with the players of PU while you wait, then here is the place.
NOTES:
- Stay on topic. This isn't chat or OOC. Talk about Wifi, trading, or set up appointments with me or other players.
- No flaming, bashing, or any slander or derogatory comments will be tolered.
- There is no set layout for requesting trades or battles, but make sure to include your Friend Code (FC), a date or time zone, and other details of interest. If you don't want to post your FC, then just PM the person instead.

I mainly use my platinum game for everything, such as battling, trading, etc. so if you only want to register my Platinum code, go ahead, I still haven't beat the elite four on my SoulSilver game, and my Pearl and HeartGold games have had an AR used on them for shinies, lv. 100s, rare pokemon, etc. so they might be unfair if used in battle or won't be as good as a pokemon people have spent hours trying to get, but they are still available for battling, I promise I won't use cheated on pokemon in battling. As for trades, I have various ones available, such as pokemon with earthquake at Lv.1

You can also give them a makeover in the Underground pass in Goldenrod City. With a combo of Daisy's massage and the makeovers you should have it's beauty stats maxed out in 8 days.

I actually have 2, but if you have the same thought process that I do when it comes to pokemon games I assume you want the lower levelled one?

This was only true before the Sinjoh Ruins event in HG and SS. Now, you can acquire a level 1 Palkia, Dialga, or Giratina (all with their respective orbs) by taking a TRU event Arceus to the ruins.

Well, I looked up the arceus/sinjoh ruin event, and I was wondering if anyone was able to lend me their event arceus so I can get my damn giratina orgin forme.
TBH though, I don't really like arceus, I just want to use it for like, 10/15 minutes.
I could probably put anything i have down as collateral
Just don't screw me, and I won't have to take a plane... I doubt I have the attention span to do that
EDIT: is it possible just to have another pokemon hold the griseous orb in a trade?

no, Giratina loses it's griseous orb when it goes into the union room, but i could lend you my event arceus, its on my HeartGold game. Meet me on IRC when you are ready, but I will be wanting it back.

That, and Giratina is The only pokemon that can Hold the Griseous Orb.
Here's why. In platinum, you can Return to the Distortion World later in the game. Only after you catch Giratina, a Portal appears. Enter, follow the path to Obtain the Griseous Orb.
The orb sat there for a long time absorbing Reverse Energy. When you have Giratina Hold it (He was the only Denizen of that Plane, so hes the only one able to hold it), he returns to Origin forme. The field the orb emits keeps him in that form.
The reason the orb cant be Transferred is because when it Senses it could possibly leave Sinnoh, it separates From Giratina. Meaning Trading it is Impossible
The Sinjoh Ruins Introduce another Griseous Orb, This infers that The Reverse Energy is Present in the ruins.

I have been looking for Arceus, Deoxys, Jirachi, Celebi, Latias, Im also fond of These Eevee forms, Umbreon, Flareon, Jolteon, Glaceon, and Leafeon.

They didnt explain anything, I thought of this on my own.
You see, I see things differently than most. It does seem odd, though, The orb is a living thing.

It could possibly work like that, but I think the griseous orb simulates the flucuation of gravity in the distortion world, causing giratina to change into his original shape
But giratina is also like deoxys, where he can only retain certain shapes in certain areas, but with the sinjoh ruins giratina, its used to johto, as it was born there, but still within the field of distortion in the sinjoh ruins when the egg was laid.
Don't ask me how it is holding a griseous orb when it hatches though, I got nothing.

Most likely no. Its not that I don't want to trade it, its that theres is nothing I really want.
There isn't really anything i want that i can't get myself, and theres no pokemon that I don't have access to, after I get giratina, that makes me go "Man, I really what that [pokemon], i would totally trade my deoxys for it"

Phew! I finally got that WiFi connection. My friend had to register the MAC Address of the DS into his telecom account for Live Box so that the Live Box recognises it...
I finally got the Jirachi and the Japanese Scizor ;D
But! but I won't be able to get on WiFi anytime soon again... today was just sheer luck that I get to go there.

Wow you sure say that a lot. I think you should get whichever one you like the Pokemon in, go to www.serebii.net, go to Pokemon SoulSilver/HeartGold and then go to "Version Exclusives"

It's fine. I breed because I enjoy it. I'll just keep the Milotic and Snorunt for you, or anyone else, that want them. (Hint hint, wink wink, nudge nudge.)
How did you get the JAPENESE Scizor? But cool that you were able to figure out the Wi-Fi.
I have a Japanese: Bronzong, Scizor, Kingdra, Ditto, and Dragonite. They're pretty easy to get if you can sort through all the trash trades on the GTS.

Go with whichever one is more aesthetically pleasing to you, in my opinion. It's easy to get all the version exclusives outside of the game itself. So, which one do you think looks cooler? Get that one.

Yeppers, I have Jap SS. I just got the English version, but I think I'll start an english version of HG instead. I'd like to get the HG exclusive pokemon. This way, I get English event pokemon, and Japanese event pokemon at the same time ;D
I play Platinum most though. I'm starting to breed the pokemon I want in my team. I already have pokemon with +25 IV in each stat.

I could trade, but I just need to be at the right spot to have WiFi, something which is very rare.
But then, you can try to get a light ball in SS from Pikachus in Viridian Forest... it's just requires a little more time and effort.

Does anyone have a Milotic? It can be any level, I just need it for my Pokedex on Diamond. Once I looked at some Pikachu in the GTS before I asked for one on here, and I saw a Milotic nicknamed Pikachu.

My biggest want is a Jolly Scolipede. Like I said, I haven't begun to breed yet, so I haven't been able to breed one for myself. And as of right now, I'm thinking about restarting. I am unsatisfied with my starter choice (Oshawatt, I was hoping it would prove useful once I used it. I was wrong.) and would rather try out Tepig.
If I do that, I'll hope to have some early 'mons that people wouldn't mind trading for. (Unbreed of course.)
I really should start breeding again... It was always my specialty.

I agree, they shouldn't trade with them because they could have a ridiculous number of level 100's and therefore they can bribe others and get all sorts of rare pokemon. This is just plain unfair to those who had to work to get their pokemon, which is where the fun is at anyway. Battling with the cheated pokemon is even worse, as it's just flat out cheating.

Actually in competitive WiFi battles it is completely fine to use AR pokemon as long as they are made to be exactly as you can have them in game.

Actually in competitive WiFi battles it is completely fine to use AR pokemon as long as they are made to be exactly as you can have them in game.
It's still cheating to get an end result when you could've worked for it in the first place.
That and I've been to tournaments, that kind of stuff gets you disqualified for cheating anyways

Although I must say, this kind of thing isn't as bad as those who decide to cheat by turning off their system in the middle of an online battle. Those people need to die in a fire. Like seriously, it's a game, losing isn't the end of the world.
*Note: I also have various Pokes with Egg moves like Night Slash Oshawott now available. Took me a bit of tracking/flipping through Pokedexes both online and the guides I own but I have some, B/W only Pokes

i beat the game a LONG time ago had no wifi until now. most of my good pokés are from my leafgreen which got stolen and they were TRAINED to lvl 100 then migrated so don't so quick to call me out as a COMPLETE cheater my game got really boring after the main quest was done so that led to AR usage (kinda like drugs)

Well, if you wanted to go that sort of route, if you don't have too many cheated pokemon, you could always release them if you wanted. I also did this in the past, when I would get a new DS pokemon game and feel like starting an old one from the beginning, I would borrow my brother's DS (now I have a 3ds so I just use MY old one now). I would trade all the pokemon I really wanted to keep onto another game, and restart. When I was a high enough level to use them after restarting, I would trade them back. Just suggestions. But also, when you've worked hard to get all your pokemon (even through trading), it just gives you a sort of sense of pride.

By new game if you mean the newest Black and White or their upcoming sequels, than you won't be able to trade them back to Diamond once they're on the new generation. Although, I'm not quite sure if that's necessarily a bad thing, as I would think that more people use the newer games online anyway, but it's up to you.

Funny, seeing as how they're pretty much the exact same game, other than the fact that you get Ho-oh first in Heart Gold and Lugia first in Soul Silver...along with the Sacred Ash before the Elite Four in Heart Gold...
So I don't see how either one could be superior to the other in any way.

I guess that's true, as maybe it's just more of a personal preference of which you would rather have first. There are things such as version exclusive pokemon, but that's about it as far as version differences go that I've noticed.

I just like Ho-oh over Lugia. Soulsilver made me angry as I caught the legendary beasts on heartgold but was unsuccessful in SS.

True, if you absolutely can't catch it, then why not go with your Masterball? Many people may not like using it, but as a last resort, I say its ok if you must, but in my opinion, not liking a game because you couldn't catch a pokemon just doesn't make sense. Although, if you rather Ho-oh over Lugia, then sure. Or, if you look at it a different way, by getting Soul Silver you could catch Ho-oh at a much higher level 70. That is, if you can catch it, as that may have been the hardest time I've had catching a legendary.

lol, I don't know how many I had to catch Zapdos, but what happened to you, I had a similar thing happen to me on SS when trying to catch Ho-oh. Then, on white, when I went to catch Kyurem, I wasn't going to catch it, just trying to see if I could find the place. Turns out I got there and challenged it. Then I found out I barely had any pokeballs of any kind at all. I ended up catching it with less than 10 tries.

Oh how I hate catching legendaries. :P Makes kind of glad there won't be any in PU. Although it seems as of when trading online with others that what most of them want. Either legendaries, shinies, or rare level 100's. Especially through things like GTS negotiations.

My experience with catching Lugia in Soul Silver:
-Has 50 Ultraballs along with an assortment of other pokeballs
-Gets Lugia to very low HP, no status afflictions
-Throws Ultra Ball; Fails
*10 minutes later*
-On last available pokemon, throws last Ultra Ball, Fails
-Lugia attacks, and puts pokemon's HP into the red zone; annoying sound effect starts
-Just for the hell of it, throws normal Pokeball for no reason

Beldum has been the most difficult for me to catch... in Platinum... with only Take Down and in Sandstorm weather... that thing kills itself generally before you catch it. But hey, I managed to get one after a while with my Duskballs :P

I would think the best strategy for a pokemon like Beldum would be to immediately throw a Quick ball, then if that fails attack it a few times until it's health is in the yellow zone, then just throw any kind of pokeball that would give you better catching rates.

I burnt it with Will-O-Wisp with a Ghost pokemon, and it worked.

I had trouble catching a Beldum, I don't remeber how I caught it, but I wasted so many pokeballs on those, and now I don't even use my Metagross.

Did you know that the catch rate of Beldum is on the same level as some legendaries? :P
