Part 1 is now over!
As there has been little activity on the forums lately, I am here to propose a way YOU can affect the development of Pokemon Universe.
This is a three part competition consisting of the following:
Part 1: Naming the professor (14th - 28th of December)
- Names must follow the 'tree' theme. E.g. Birch
- Names can be male or female, although there may be a bias towards the latter ;)
- To prevent a huge wave of suggestions, users are limited to one name per day up to a maximum of 3, so think carefully.
Part 2: Creating a Bio (2nd of January - 14th of January)
- In this section, the prize goes to whoever writes the best background story for our professor.
- The bio must be short, with a maximum of 100 words.
- Users should be creative, and original.
Part 3: Create artwork (16th - 28th of January)
- In the final section, you must create a picture/sprites for the character.
- All sprites should be created in 48 * 48 pixels.
Rules
- Each part will last 2 weeks, with the winner being announced on Sunday evening (GMT).
- Any user may win, this means that all 3 sections could be won by one person.
- The PU Team has the final say on each decision and reserves the right to change any rules with no warning.
Prizes!
- Credit will be given to each winner for their contribution.
- Will be given exclusive access to a hidden area of the forum
- Will be first in line for any upcoming testing
- Will have secret dialogue options when talking to the professor
And also, you may attract our attention and be invited to join the team ;)

Also Bio:
He was always taught to hate Pokemon, because they were “Monsters” and he did just that, but then he got older and realized that Pokemon were just like people, they were no different. So now he decided to become a Pokemon Professor, and let Trainers have that feeling of battling a Pokemon for the first time like he had, not to long ago. He also likes to collect starter Pokemon, and he now has all of them, of course he gives them to each Trainer who wants one, though, except his faithful Mudkip, whom he would never give up.
I think it is right on the dot 100, but if I counted wrong sorry.

Bio: The smartest and oldest of the proffesors, and more experienced with pokemon. As a child, he always used to catch bug Pokemon, though he was only small. His parents thought he was retarted, and he always used to go around by himself studying Pokemon. He drew a picture of every pokemon he saw in a little notebook, and would write its description. This is how he came up with the idea of a Pokedex. He is very generous and will keep you updated with what's going on. He is very forgetful, and this could be where you choose your character's name. ex "Uhh, what was your name again, youngling?"

Part 1 Name: Professor Hickory
Part 2 Bio: She began catching and training fire type pokemon at a young age. As she grew old she lost taste in travelling to catch new pokmon so now, she teaches students techniques for catching and training them. She now has a hefty collection of powerful fire type pokemon and still frequently battles any student who has the guts to challenge her, she is undefeated in six years!

i know that the idea is to put a common name of a tree, but i have some interesting cientific names, like Seldin (male or female), Salix (this one is a gender of trees; male or female), Plumeria (female), Zelkova (male or female), Kunth (male)
kunth is a Tree of Pseudosamanea
Zelkova is the tree Zelkova serrata thats a japanese tree
Salix is a willow
the others are most like the same name
