Mine would probably be the one at Dewford Town in Emerald. It just sucks.

Is that the one where you had to ice skate? If so, than I concur. Any place the forces me to partake in ice skating should burn to the ground. On a another note, while were on the topic of gyms...

Nah... all of them were good and it added more of a challenge when puzzles were in them.
That said, the one without puzzle but which should have was in GSC or HGSS, was the Olivive City Gym... they could have put one in the remake versions.

Yeah, it was just all "Imma Stop you just to give you some useless advice. This gym leader uses steel-type pokemon, even though you probably already knew that." And It just went straight. It could have at least made an S shape, or had a pretty button to press, or something.

Well. It's not really that they were being lazy On the Olivine Gym....
Think about it.
-Lack of trainers.
-2 reasons for that: Steel-types were "new", and really, Jasmine one of the few people to take interest at this point.
-the Puzzle itself, (why there is none)
-Well, Physically, Jasmine appears skinny (not well-built at all), but in every other respect, stronger than most.
-Olivine Gym is "Newly Opened" as well.
-On top of that, Amphy is sick...
So, that would be why there's no puzzle, it wouldn't make sense to have one, and the backstory tells of all the crap going down...

My least favorite gym leader is misty, because of all the whiny fanboy/shippers/hentai addicts that never STFU about her.

In this gym, as soon as you get the hang of it, you'll do it quick. But when you know where you go, there's no more fun :(

Hm.. I can understand. Those quizzes system was less fun than Cinnabar's.

I love it but my brothers always hated the first gym on Pokemon D/P cause he loves Fire pokemon and spends ages beating the first gym, While im already at the Third with my trusty Piplup ;D

Driftveil City in Black/White cuz not only the elevators are so annoying the Excadrill is so overpowered for the 5th gym.

Any water type gym, because my favourite type is water and I can't use my best pokemon xD I also hate Hearthrome City in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl because her Driftblim is so annoying to take out , with that Ominous Wind attack and Gust

Mahogany Town gym...ice skating is the worst.
And why would anyone hate that Jasmine didn't have any trainers to battle in her gym? Aside from the extra experience it gives, I hated having to battle 4 or 5 trainers before the gym leader. Sometimes I think the gym leaders themselves couldn't even go through 5 trainers and then battle me, so why should I have to? But to be honest, I don't know about S/G/C because its been so long, but HG/SS is sooo unbalanced. I used some AR codes just to balance out my team and I still got my butt kicked by Clair.

Blackthorn. When comparing the level scaling to the 6th and 7th gyms before it, Clair's pokes are much higher, as well as he kingdra is stupidly fast so if you don't have a really good lan to take out an over levelled killing machine, well you're gonna have some fun.

I hate mistys gym the staryu and starmie are too much even if I have a bulbasaur.
They always use recover and confusion , water pulse I hate it!

Just skip and go to S.S Anne's to train and come back when you're ready. Lt. Surge is not that much more difficult, rather easier if you ask me.

Funny you mention that, as I'm playing SS now and I just suffered my first loss in the game, to Clair. It was ridiculous and I was even using hyper potions. Makes me think I won't stand a chance at the Pokemon League...

Lol... I must say.. I don't have a gym leader that I hate through puzzles. And why are people soo whiny about the ice skate puzzle, it may had been annoying up to an hour, but it was really easy once you limited your choices. Logic. Duh.
The only gym leaders that were annoying were that I had to grind back to make one of my pokemon more dominant to give me the upper advantage.

I hated the ice skating because it made me think :P But naw, it wasn't that bad, just annoying. But on the subject of balancing, HG and SS are screwed. I lost to the freakin' Kimono Girls that only have 1 Pokemon each, all eeveelutions. I swear that one girl's Jolteon is waaay over powered on the offensive, and the Vaporeon ONE SHOTTED my Victreebel that was 10 levels higher than it. ... Something is wrong here.

As long as you take your time and train your pokemon properly( i dont mean EV's and stuff) then it should be fairly easy, ive never really had trouble with gym leaders, except occasionally the first because my fire starter had no decent moves against brock, etc.

Now that you mention it, I hate her too, she's the only gym leader I ever had trouble with. But thats only because I always choose Charmander as my starter.

Really? 'cause with an Ampharos (with Signal Beam, + electric moves) I got pretty much all of them relatively quickly, except Umbreon... That was the one that gave me a little more trouble. And I'm almost always under-leveled.
The ice skating throws me off for a bit too.

-Incredibly boring and predictable(Yes,i know that you are standing there,not so ace trainer)
-Slow paced(long animations,two faily designed floors and trainers that only waste time)
-Required no skill wathsoever(By now you should be packing something anti-fire,if not...fail)
-Flannery is HOT(You freaking pervert!She simply uses fire types!)
Saffron:
-I missed this gym on the 1st fully finished run of Kanto(Totally unrelated to storyline city....safe for said bad team HQ)
-Made me go into the wrong gym...and think that the real gym was fighting themed.(Fuuuuu)
-Sabrina managed to wipe my charizard(Raaaage)
-Psychic types were overpowered(Fuuu u Alakazam)
-A overly complicated puzzle for my 6-7 year old brain(Youngsters always lose)
-Sabrina is smexy(And you cannot counter that)

Hmm... I actually found Sabrina's gym easier. I just picked horizontal and walked left or right to get to the next panel and poof, after a few I got there.
While with Flanneries, it took more time to look for those camouflaged trainers and make sure I didn't miss anyone in there... And bah, Marshtomp was going easy when I went there.

Hey, hey! I only failed at Johto in the end! Mind you, I wasn't using my starter. Right now I'm a little pissed off because I haven't made it to any town or "safe point" in Kanto and I need to fly back to grab a HM Pokemon real quick... I refuse to give my Garyados all these ridiculous water HMs, but it won't let me fly :(

It was weird, but the second time around I brought my Onix along to take out the Jolteon, and then used Victreebel to put Vaporeon asleep and finish it off with a grass move. One of Vaporeon's moves were really effective the first time though... Anyway, congrats on beating Red, I'm just heading into Victory Road now!
