If you are a special type of trainer (Misty=Water) and just love that one type, leave a comment here to show your type. I personally am a Poison/Sleep type trainer like Koga. When a pkmn in asleep, it cannot hurt you!

Just Normal pokémon. I don't really have a favorite type but I liek Chansey :D and she's a normal type.

No favorite type for me really. I like to have the most I can in my party. For that I like picking up Pokémon that are of two different types (water/electric for instance, like Chinchou/Lanturn).

I don't have a fav, I like/need them all.
But I found out that poison pokemon are really good.
I made a mono poison team (1wildcard only) for a tournament, including two NU pokemon, one OU and the other ones UU.

My very favorite to use is ice types i dont know what it is about freezing an opponent its just so much fun to me!

I enjoy Psychic, i like RBY best and Starmie Exegg and A-K-zam are some major power houses
and metwo 400 special + 90 +50% stab=death

Either Fire or Psychic, I've used them since the beginning (Red,Yellow etc.) and I just love the move sets and their so awesome. ;D

dont have a favorite type but my favorite 2-type combos are fire/flying(charizard not weak to ground) and water/ground(swampert. hate quagsire. looks stupid. only one weakness!!!) i like how all the 1st gen fire types look though. ;D

My favorite pokemon type is definitely psycic. Although there defense and HP arent very good, the psycic attacks are very strong and affect most other pokemon types.

Psychic/grass but sometimes I find my self building teams that just strike awe! I always feel its a cop out to us a legendary so I never use them.

Fire or bug.
Fire because it's fast and furious.
Bug because so many awesome Pokemon are bugs, straight up and they can be pretty powerful if they have a wide variety of attacks... Scyther, Heracross, Pinsir, Yanmega...

Not dragon because:
-overrated
-ice usually takes them in a 4x damage
-dragon moves are super effective on dragon types only (and a dragon pokemon without a dragon move is just a waste)

I use a variety of pokemon in my starting lineup but if i had to pick one it would be steel, because i'm a defensive type of player.

But if I had to pick one, I would go with water.

I dont so much go for the type of Pokemon, I go for a certain overall feel in my teams, at least when im not competing and just looking for some wifi fun :)

1.Dragon (Dialga is a beast period)
2.Water (Kyorge is like the best water type pokemon in the galaxy)
3.Grass (Because Geico, 15 minutes could save you 15% r more on Car Insurence :P )

Uhh, I use dark, mainly because of their variability in movesets, High attack and speeds, and they just like epic. ::)

I like to keep my team balanced, but my favorite type is probably ghost, maybe psychic lol idk one of those.. or even psychost

I'm a big fan of both water and poison pokemon. I assume if I can't put out/erode/drown/wash away, I might as well poison.

I like ground, poison, and electric types; I don't like the 'type' normal but I usually have a few on my team anyways. I hate to use dragon, grass, and fire types... Not too sure why.

I specialize in Ghost type pokemon, with Gengar as my strongest pokemon. I also use very few Psychic type pokemon in my team aswell. I guess you could say im a hybrid between Agatha & Sabrina.

I don't really have a favorite type. I like all kinds of different Pokemon. If I had to choose though, it would probably be electric.

Just the same as Neo, my favourite type is the fire type. But in a close second is the psychic type.

It might just be that Yellow was my first Pokemon game ever and so naturally my favorite of all time became Pikachu, but I've always liked Electric the most.
And not just Pikachu either. Electivire is part of one of my competitive teams too, because it's a personal favorite. Luxray and Manectric always managed to find their way into my pre-credits team too according to their corresponding region.
Other than that, the Ice type is pretty awesome. Jynx and Weavile were a big part of my anti-Lance HG team for the first time through the league. :D

I usually use whatever gives me a nice balance on my team. I almost always have a Fire/Grass/Water type, however, for the solid defense it provides. Electric is also a type I like to use a lot. (Though, it's usually just a favorite. Mareep is <3) Other than that, as I stated before, whatever gives me a nice balance and solid feel.

Bug all the way baby! People underestimate them so i always feel good when i stomp them into the ground. :D

Dragon
Ghost
Steel

Dark type was always the most appealing to me. I love my Umbreon :P
If not Dark type, then probably water. I always picked the water starter and always enjoyed it.

i started out grass from the begining. but recently swiched to fire. i like to have a variety of types in my party so i have more options and ways to win. never at a disadvantage.

So i say steel/something.

Fire generally has crazy-ass high attack, which makes them great for kamakazie-business. I can take down half my friend's teams before they take down my Charizard. Psychic is also great, because they have a high special attack, and most pokemon that people like don't have the highest special defense, making them essentially Brain Ninjas. I would be pretty happy if I stumbled upon a Fire/Psychic type. Maybe I could test it out by lighting a Drowzee on fire...

Well because there's no such thing as a Jirachi Type Pokemon. There's Fire, Water, Grass, Ground, Rock, Steel, Flying, Poison, Normal, and... I think that's it.

Uh... Did I miss fighting? Yep, I missed fighting. Okay, when you read this post, just pretend that fighting was inserted between Poison and Normal. There are some technical space/comma details in there too, but you can figure them out for yourself.

Hmmm... I always seem to like the ground types like Nidoking and Rhydon (sorta like Giovonni).... but really I don't have a specific type in particular. I usually just use pokemon I think are cool!

Weird. I checked the pages tor a thread like this but didn't see one, so I started my own thread. Maybe I was looking in the wrong place?
Anyway, I mentioned that very few types resist water attacks, and aside from pokemon with water absorb and hydration nothing is immune to it. There are also a lot of dual water types out there.
I do like some other pokemon like Infernape, Jolteon, Rhyperior, Scizor, Charizard, ect.

I dont have a favorite type, i like to keep my team mixed (if you havent already noticed in my signature). It gives me more of an advantage because i can beat many different types.

Yes, having a mixed team is strategially wise. The way I make a mixed team is start with an ideal pokemon, then build around it with other pokemon that cover its weaknesses, and try to ends with all the weaknesses covered by either a type or certain moves.

My favorite type has to go to......none. I love all the types equally...except grass types....they ghey.

Grass is actually one of my least favorit types. Mainly because it has the most weaknesses of any pure type. Though I have use some from time to time.

Yeah bug was practically useless in the first generation, though it has improved. On the other hand it couldn't have gotten any worse either.
Heracross is cool. Butterfree has compound eyes, which makes its powder moves more accurate. Scizor is definitely cool. I like Parasect for catching wild pokemon.
Unfortunately I think fire is falling by the wayside. There just doesn't seem to be very many of them compared to other types.

So? They don't become worse as a type because there are less of them. There's still a fire type out there to fufill every need of a player.
Anyways, fire is among the best of the types. It doesn't have the restorative moves that grass, psychic, and water do, but fire types have the highest attack of all the types (Minus Dragons...?), making them indespensible when going for a winning team.
I love using steel types because there is so many types that are not very effective against it including normal, grass, bug, flying, ghost, dark, steel, psychic, and a couple more. I'm not saying it is effective against these types, im just saying they are "not very effective" against it.
I hate steel types. I hate using them, I hate fighting them even more, and overall, I hate looking at them (Lucario being the exception- He's a steel type, right?). I can never get a powerful attack out of them, and fighting them is like murdering someone with a plastic spoon.

It's true about fire types. They are quite good, and I really like Infernape. As far as steel types go, you're doing something wrong. Steel types I believe are meant to be tankish. Not sweepers. Although a bullet punch from Scizor after sword dance can sweep quite well.
They're defensive pokemon. Some people do prefer sweepers, though, so steels aren't for everyone.

I hate pokemon that can't dish out major damage. For me, if it takes me more than five turns to take down a pokemon, whatever I'm using sucks. I like playing the game as if I'm always using Kadabra: Take down the enemy as fast as possible to avoid taking damage, because I'm screwed when I get hit.

I would be a dark type trainor. My team would be: houndoom, weavile, honchkrow, cacturne, absol, and sableye. My main move would be dark pulse, and my stat would be mostly in the spec. atk/def and speed range. My main stategy would consist of status changes and sheer force. 8)

Ive always wanted a pokemon type that would be really good in stats. Like when i heard that dialga was steel/dragon, i thought "that pokemon should have pretty high stats because steel is more of defense and attacks, while dragon is more sp. defense and sp. attacks. Speed shouldnt be a problem". Apparently its not exactly as i thought. But i do prefer speedy pokemon with pretty good sp. attack and attack.

I love the Psychic Types, and all of their fusions. But i would have to go with Ground as my favorite. After all, my favorite legendary is Ground ;-)

i ususally use six pokemon that can learn a wide variety of moves and can and usually will beat any one opponent in battle.. example :
charizard
wing attack
earthquake
rockslide
flamethrower
he is above averge in speed so he is usually going first and he is strong against alot of opponents... but this time in pokemon universe im going to use a poison team... My goal is to creat an organization of 17 trainers and each one uses only one type of pokemon...

I am split in three halves.....
I love fire with all my heart.
But i can't resist the coolness of steel types.
And i also enjoy dragons quite a lot...(Charizard should have been Fire/Dragon :( )

I thought I did... Well...
To be honest, I like all the types, and don't really care which one I use, as long as it's not a Magikarp (I'll EXP Share those to lvl20).
I just recently became found of Ground, mostly because of me joining Elemental Elites and I've started training a bit with them, and are starting to like them... a lot.
But still, I have no real favorite Type.
