That is the ONLY topic where you can post your first (and not so first) attemt to graphics.
Have you just started with pixel-arting? THAT IS TOPIC FOR YOU.
Did you begin to make signatures? THAT IS TOPIC FOR YOU.
Are you still not good at graphics, and need help and improvement? THAT IS TOPIC FOR YOU.
So, from now, every topic, where the level will be obviously seen as begginer's (you know, the horrible ones) will be deleted, and the author will be moved HERE.

Well, my avatar was my very first attempt at animations ;)
Let's see about the others...
Oh I have two pending... which I don't know how to do at all... The first is removing stuff from an image while filling in with that would have been behind the said removed parts and the second is another animation which I don't think will be ready anytime soon.

Just cut down parts of few pokemons and recoloured them, but that's nice for the begining.

Yea, you should to make your own pokes, not mixing existing ones.

just some stuff I've done, the pokemon are the fire starter and its 2nd evo from my galori region, first route, and starting town, also made a leafeon pixel art thingy, the leafeon is old though, and the region things were made a summer ago. Also did a black city style building in pu style :)

There are unnecessarily many hi-hat sounds, otherwise it's coming off pretty well.

Any way I found this program over the weekend and started using it so i could have something on my Deviant art page. It looked so sad and empty before...

You most likely won't get anything good out of a computer referring to art without programs and/or equipment that costs money.

wait a sec you mean paint like with a paint brush or do you mean paint as in the paint that is a program on the computer?

Well, since we're talking about programs, that would the on the computer...
But either way, paint as the traditional medium is as good. Paint, then take a picture, then post. Digital and traditional art are not totally similar. If one does digital art well, that doesn't mean that (s)he will do traditional art as well, and vice versa.

Which comes back to the same point: you can use Paint, or other programs that you think you can use.

Yes, just use the pencil tool, select your color, and make a canvas 48*48. Zoom in to 400% (I do that to make it easier for me), and you can easily see how you are pixeling.

I thought that that was what I was saying in the first place? ???
Anyway, and you can have a grid by using Ctrl+G on zoom of 400% and up.

Almost every drawing program on the computer uses pixels, since everything in the computer IS made out of pixels. As for me, I use either Paint or GIMP for pixelart. And unless you're very very accurate in putting pixels in the right place while everything is normal sized I reccomend zooming in.

Everyone starts somewhere. Keep trying, make a thread and just take criticism and improve. Read tutoorials, place with some shading techniques on objects that would never have that type of texture. Most of all, have fun with it.
