Title: Metal/Hardcore/Death/Etc
Post by: Hiteryan on September 27, 2011, 01:09:05 PM
There probably is a topic about Metal around here somewhere, hell probably I created it, but if there is, which I really am not sure, it must be buried deep. So after lurking on the Dubstep thread, I'm creating this one. I wanted to make a topic though regarding what is mostly somewhat underground metal, mostly being quite alternative or technical.

If any, what kind of stuff do you enjoy? These are a few of my favorites.

Sikth (Disbanded some years ago. Sickest breakdown ever conceived @ 03:25)

Periphery

Animals as Leaders

Necrophagist

Between The Buried And Me

Scar Symmetry (I'm not really much into this band, I just love this song)

And I'll make a thread regarding my own band when we finish recording a tiny small sample, hopefully somewhere in the next 10 days lol. For now there's this old video (it's almost an year old) os us playing an unfinished song, we weren't even sure of what we were playing. I'm the one on guitar. But this is old and suck. Brace for the upcoming technicality and awesomeness.

I really like the instrumentals in these genres but the vocals scare the chansey out of me

Animals as Leaders is an instrumental only band, figure maybe you'd like that :) Also Periphery have an instrumental version of their album (each band has only released one full album so far).
