This is the official guild thread for the Elemental Elites, branching off from the 17 trainers thread. That thread has posts from people just posting what their teams would be, but not everyone who posts in it are on the team. This is a new thread just for future guildies, and I'll want everyone to sign in. Just post your name and the pokemon type you'll specialize in. Chad29, the guild leader, will then post you. Otherwise this thread will be used to discuss things about the guild.
Info:
Each member will only use one chosen type. If a pokemon is at least part X type, then it can be used. If not, then you don't use it. For example, I'm a water trainer. I train anything that's purely or partly water, while I avoid other types. One exception is if a non water type evolves into a water type. Bidoof and Azurill are both normal types, for example, but they evolve into part or pure water types. Meaning it's ok for a water trainer to train one for the purpose of evolving it. Remember, you only have to use your mono team when asked to represent the Elemental Elites. Other then that you are free to use any team you want.
There will be 17 leaders, but the guild will have as many members as possible. Anyone who is not one of the 17 leaders can challenge a leader of their type and try to take the title. Three matches. Best two out of three wins. You can challenge other trainers if you'd like, but you can't take the title of top steel trainer if you're a water trainer.
In the beginning of the game, we will just have to take whatever pokemon we can find. However trainers will switch to a pokemon of their type as soon as possible. I don't expect to have immediate access to all types right from the start of the game.
We're using Pokemon Online as our way of battling online aside from within the MMO. This way we can hold guild tournaments without the hassle of having trained pokemon of a certain level and such. IN PO, the pokemon used will already be exactly as you'd like them. It's free for download.
Important note. You may choose whatever type you like Even if it's taken. we'd like all the types to be covered, but you don't have to avoid a type just because someone else has it. There will be more than 17 trainers in the guild if we can help it. You'll just have to compete for the title of Elite Trainer from time to time.
Go ahead and advertise in the metagame server of your choice. There's no harm in inviting people to the guild, or just to the MMO.
A new note is that we don't all have to be competitive battlers. You can use whatever pokemon you want. This should be made easier with what the balance team is doing, making the pokemon in general more balanced instead of having tiers and only about 20% of the roster being commonly used.
Another nice thing to know is the different clauses (rules and regulations) for competitive battling and official Pokémon Universe tournaments. Cause you use Ghosts and I use Ground.
Last time I checked, most Physical attacks don't affect Ghosts
But hey... at least I get some Special Water Attacks on Mudkip/Marshtomp/Swampert

Well, there was a user who made signatures like mine, but he quitted PU. Maybe you could ask Miss Wednessday who made her's, and ask him (or her) to make yours too. Anyway, back to studying for me ( exam geography and physics tomorrow) :(

Sure, no problem. Making a good mono-psychic team isn't impossible though. Noah (always in the top 5 of the monotype tier on PO when I'm online) is a great example of this.

Well you can use my signature if you want, and I made a request in TheSoIx's trainer sprite thread, So When it's done you could use that one. I can't wait to see what it looks like though ;)
Now I was thinking of starting a mono-type project like they tried on Smogon (but it never finished it's first type). We would use our experience in pokémon battling to make a great monotype team for each type, following PU rules. What do you guys think about this? Sounds nice huh? (but maybe in another thread)

It's not that weird. I still have doubts too you know, now I almost got the most out of fighting (alot of testing...). Poison always seemed interesting to me too.

This could be a fun way to pass the time waiting for the beta. We should start with types that we have to trainer for.

i like your idea about the monotype team for each type ponge. i will be happy to help in any way i can maybe do different sets for pokemon as well specifically for the monotype tier. i have been playing in OU with my water mono and its completely different to playing in monotype.

I agree I've put alot of time into my dragon team and wouldn't want to suddenly change and have to start all over(no one laugh if you've beaten me alot....Roloc).

I just hope they find a way to remedy the loss of coverage that not having Terrakion means. Having a fast stab rock move really helps against those pesky flying types. Did you know that fight only gets stab against its weaknesses with two pokemon and one won't be in the game. Scrafty and Terrakion. I think it is the only type to do that besides Normal with Girafarig.

Normal has flying types all over the place. Electric only has 2, Rotom(in water/grass/ice forms) and Lanturn.

Armaldo/shuckle/Wormadam/masqurain/crustle and all the part steel type bugs hit one of their weaknesses for stab SE dmg. :D

I give up... I was talking from a fighting type mono users perspective. You guys just proved what I was saying. Almost every type is more then capable of hitting every one of their weaknesses for stab super effective except fight. Fight is weak to flying and psychic and Scrafty and Terrakion are the only fight types that can hit those types for stab super effective.

Actually it's kind of funny. I'm the opposite. I have problems with a pokemon that I can one shot. Ledian. If it's left at the end of the battle it kills me. That super fast spore gets me every time.

Depends on the situations really. If I lose certain pokemon early, it's a problem. Mainly Arcanine.

Ok, let me put it another way. Staraptor tears my team to shreds. There are 5 pokemon that are faster and only 1, that is right 1 will be in the game. Now throw in a scarf and I can't touch it with out being Braved Birded to death. Terrakion being rock type and having 108 base speed just 8 points over Staraptor's 100 base speed is able to out run and kill it before it does to much damage to my team.
Now take a look at the one fight type pokemon that is faster then Staraptor, Infernape, and compare it to Terrakion.
Infernape:76/104/71/104/71/108
Terrakion:91/129/90/72/90/108
note the diffrence in the stat spread. The extra bulk allows Terrakion to switch in far more often making him far more viable to be an effective flying type counter. Now to be fair lets bring in Staraptor's stats.
Staraptor: 85/120/70/50/50/100
Yes it had pitiful defences, but it made OU for a reason. It has access to very powerful Brave Bird, Double Edge, and Close Combat, and this gen it got non other the Reckless for its Dream World Ability, making Brave Bird even more potent. With only 1 fight type pokemon being faster then it makes it the perfect fight counter. Sure let it Brave Bird a high Hp pokemon so it loses more health or just use priory. Lets see, Machamp lost Bullet punch, Conkeldurr lost Mach Punch. I see a trend, all the high attack low speed fight pokemon are losing access to their priory moves, taking away their ability to check Staraptor.
Lets take a look at Lucario with his Extreme Speed. Lucario has access to the most powerful Priory move in the franchise.but look at his stats.
Lucario: 70/110/70/115/70/90.
Sure after one Swords Dance he could easily take out Staraptor, the question is will he survive a Brave Bird to his face while he sets up? Lets see.
116.4% - 137%. I am no expert but that looks like a one hit KO to me. So Lucario isn't going to be getting any set up time against him. Ok that is out of the way, what about an unboosted Extreme Speed? Lets see: 45.5% - 53.8%. The Enemy Stataptor will have to be at least 50% damaged to take it out without fear of losing yet another pokemon.
Sure Lucaio took out Staraptor, but what about the numorious other Flying type pokemon that are faster then Infernape? Togekiss can come in and Parahax your Lucario to death, so trying for a swords dance and then trying to ESpeed is unreliable at best.
See what I am trying to say? Just having a stab rock type move to take out those pesky flying types is much more reliable then using slow bulky ones that don't get a chance to move. That is what I am trying to say. 154.3% - 181.6% That is how much damage Machamp, one of the bulkiest fight types around, takes from Brave Bird. with his damn low speed and loss of bullet punch, he doesn't stand a chance to come in and even try to take out the Staraptor. I hope I cleared that up for everyone.

ok fine the only other way i see it happening is to sacrifice some of my pokemon to bring its HP down low enough for a priorty attack to take it out, but then I am down how ever many pokemon I sacrificed. Come on, there are no fight types bulky enough to survive a single hit from it. Sure throw a Focus Sash on a Poliwrath and use Counter, extremely conditional. I am hopping they come up with a damn solution to the very real problem I have noticed in creating a mono fight team!

Let's see, the non-scarfed version goes dOwn by my Infernape's Stone Edge or my Scarf Heracross's Stone edge. For the Scarfed version I use my sashed Infernape, survive the hit and kill him. Another way is let it kill 1-2 bulky pokemon and then use priority moves. Another thing that could work is using a Hitmonlee with Unburden, Normal Gem and Fake out to outspeed it and then kill it. If you switch a Speed Boost Blaziken in before he switches in (team preview) and then use protect, you'll outspeed and KO it. That same Blaziken with a Focus Sash and Protect can Protect on turn 1, attack or set up on turn 2, yo'n outspeed everything on turn 3. Now you've even set up against it... There are ways, you just need to think outside the box with a monotype team.

I am not complaining at the balance crew in any way I am just pointing out that fight has a serious problem in Starapor and many other fast flying types.
I just thought of something. You could say the same thing about bug. Staraptor could easily tear an entire team to shreds, but it can't because bug has the likes of Scizor, Ledian, Fortress, Durant, and even Shuckel. All of those pokes are able to either resist or out speed it and with their impressive attack/def stats take it out with out so much as a sweat, save scizor maybe.
I mean, come on! Take a look at Ledian's stats! Base Stats: 65 / 105 / 65 / 55 / 110 / 130. With 130 speed and 105 attack he is almost always going to OHKO any staraptor, not to mention it has access to Spore! But of course, the problem at hand is scarfed Staraptors and a scarfed one will eat Ledian for lunch.
Ponge, as I close this post I challange you to take every fight pokemon, every one of them and pit them head to head with Staraptor. Lets see who wins almost every time. With that I close one of my longest posts on this site.

Ponge just said some ways to do it without set up, but that's not what I'm here for. I have made a team of 6 staraptors with scarfs. It's probably a little late for people to be testing, but I'll likely be on some time tomorrow (10-12 hours from now most likely) if you want to have a go proving your respective points.

You obviously didn't got the point of my reply. I've beaten lots of Staraptors in the past (mostly in monotype against a mono normal team) in more then 1 way, like with that Hitmonlee or any other one of the pokemon I mentioned earlier. Just try them out and find out yourself.

My entire last post was "If it is sent out BEFORE a set up pokemon gets a chance to set up." If Lucario or any fight types get any sort of boost Starapor's pitiful defs are going to be a major let down to him, other then that a sash is one of the only ways to guarantee that you are going to get a kill. I am sure that if you did an experiment and tested every balanced fight type against staraptor you would find he OHKOs every one of them. So if he is perhaps a lead, or is sent out as a revenger against, for example, my lead machamp, my team is going to really be hurting before I manage to take it out.
I am not complaining at the balance crew in any way I am just pointing out that fight has a serious problem in Starapor and many other fast flying types.

Thanks to ShadowFred both Ponge and I are proven right. Every pokemon that Ponge listed was able to take the Staraptor out, but for Infernape it was only possible with the sash, and Hitmonlee wasn't able to take it out at full health with Stone Edge, but as Fred pointed out most teams will only have one Staraptor so with the combined damage of fake out and Stone Edge the Staraptor is down and out. But every other pokemon I sent out against it was taken out before it could even move.
The point is fight is strong against normal, but normal is paired with flying more then any type, and fight has a hell of a time with flying as only one, ingame, will be faster then 100 base speed. I am just hopping that the balance crew finds a solution to this "problem"

First, it's Shadowfred, no capital F. Second, Hitmonlee only failed to kill a single Staraptor with Stone Edge, for all we know, that could have been the exact minimum of possible damage and considering it was left with 3 hp, that's not too shabby. Third, this is unlikely to be "fixed" as we're not balancing for monotype, we're balancing to pokemon in general. If it turns out that Staraptor is killing every goddamned pokemon then sure, we'll fix it.

sorry for messing up your name. I am not complaining in any way, or trying to make your guys job any harder then it is already going to be.
The Hitmonlee wasn't running an Adamant nature, if he had been it would have been a sure OHKO, and as I said last post with the combined damage from Fake Out and Stone Edge it is a sure OHKO every time. You could probably even get away with using High Jump Kick to take it out if you wanted to. And as you pointed out in our little test battle people tend only to use one of a pokemon. So once you take it out, no problem. My problem is that the High Attack Low speed pokemon lost their priory moves causing them to lose the ability to come in and get those little revenge kills they used to be able to,and there is only 2 pokemon faster then 100 base speed, Infernape and Mienshao. But most Staraptors are scarfed negating that speed advantage unless they themselves are scarfed or are running a sash set. I just want to see a few more fight pokemon get a speed boost, or a few of the slower ones get some sort of priory. I just want it to be fair and not tilted towards who ever has the most speed.

Thats the problem. Everyone thinks things are OP so they run off to QQ(I am not saying you did) about it. If they really think something is unbalanced they need to post about it and give some well thought and good information telling why and even give some examples of why they think it is unbalanced. As shadowfred has said, they are not balancing around monotype teams. Yes your fighting team will have a heal of a time with fast flyers...and thats your fault for being mono fighting. I have the same problem with fast flyers.

Most people tend to put a LO (or CB) on Staraptor , so it can Roost off damage when they are able to and want to switch moves when necessary. Just pointing that out. Most fghting types have already been balanced or are in testing, and I don't see a faster fighting type coming around. Maybe it's necessary for some future fighting type to get more speed, but don't expect too much from it.
The only fighting types that haven't been discussed yet are Hitmonchan, Hitmontop, Throh, Sawk and Mienshao so again, it might happen, but probably not.

Underwelming? You're calling 1 of the best offensive types (with only 2 weaknesses) underwelming while several of them got a boost and only a couple like Roobushin and Macham (I think that's it) p got a nerf. Seriously, underwelming? Then why do you train fighting types?

Because no matter what happens to fight I will always be loyal to it. It has some of my favorite pokemon in it and I just like its offensive prowess.
Yes underwhelming. Take a look at those two weakness after their buffs. Most of them are faster then most fight types, only two fight pokemon are over 100 base speed, and those that are faster are able to simply cripple the slower fighters. Even if they aren't faster they have the ability to either make them slower or make their attacks do nothing by buffing their stats. Flying has Togekiss, with enough bulk to make sure that it gets a T-Wave off it can just abuse Para-flinching. Psychic hits fight on its weak underbelly. Most fights have less then impressive SpDef stats so one hit usually kos them.
I don't know about you but I really pay attention to base stats and Psychic and flying have some of the fastest sweepers around that just destroy any fight type that gets in their way. Yes Fight has Scrafty to deal with Psychic, but any good psychic player runs around with a fight type move somewhere in their sets. And Scrafty has no way to boost its special defense against a special sweeper that is built to tear holes with its special attack! Just look at the statistics. To be able to outrun most of the fight type you need just 90 base speed. There are four fight type pokemon with a base speed of over, and I am not counting an unburden Hitmonlee or Speed boost Blaziken as they take time to set up, and how many psychic and flying types have a base speed higher then 90? Or have the bulk to shrug off any attack that a fight pokemon can throw their way?
All I am asking is look at the statistics, watch stats, learn patterns, just watch the damn trends! Every thing follows a pattern, and the Balance team, not complaining, wants to create a balanced meta game where all pokemon are balanced. Well you see an overbearing type like fight and you imediatly think, take their power. Take what makes Fight one of the top tier threats. Then all of a sudden they are struggling to handle their type weaknesses.
Take a look at dark, they fear Fight like the plague. But with the like of Zororark, Honchcrow, Mandibuzz, and Hydreigon they are able to just tear them apart. Bug is/was one of the most under-rated types around, but now they are able to easily check and counter Rock and fire types. Ledian got a massive boost in his speed and attack stats, as well as Spore and Drain Punch. Just look at the trends! The strong types are losing their edge and the weaker types are getting sharpened to a point where the former types are taking their place!
I don't want to make anybody angry, but I notice patterns. And this is one pattern I can't ignore because it is so obvious.

A team consisting of a LO Sheer Force Tauros; a Curselax; a Porygon2 invested in Def and HP with Recover and BoltBeam with a 4th move (not sure which move yet), a scarf Ditto; an offensive Togekiss and a LO or CB Staraptor.
Any thoughts about it?

I was thinking the same thing but I don't think its a great idea to find a sub until we know whats going on. Its only been about a week but we don't know how long he'll be away. He's probably just really busy with work or dealing with a personal matter.

We're balancing some potential walls/tanks atm, so when the balance tester server is up, we might finish them and give him some counters. (think things like improved Weezing, Nidoqueen, Druddigon,...)

Weezing was always good at stopping Staraptor in its tracks with Will-o-Wisp. Getting some reliable steel types could also help. As long as its choiced and you can predict correctly then you don't have to worry about the CC's that Starpator carries.

Miss Wednesday... One thing i've learned about mono teams on pu... You cant give up on a type every type is worth it...I mean even mono ice can be made useful in this game... The more you use your type, and study every pokemon of that type-the better you will become. Also, as you battle the same ppl, you start realizing what u need on ur team in this game, and what you dont need. Dont keep switching because of losses. Start switching your style while using the same type. Use pokemon that you would never have used b4, alot of pokemon that aren't key in the metagame, are key in this game. Stick with one type and up ur skill. Psychic can be great i mean look at Mr. Psychic...He has created multiple psychic teams that can compete with anything...This guild isnt completly focused on victories like the Yin of Y/Y, its more about mastering your types. This means learning about more than just six pokemon, it may even mean training more than 6 pokemon for battle(different key pokemon may be needed to defeat different players, in a tourney im sure you'd be aloud to switch out one or two pokemon b4 a match). I had to change my outlook on pokemon to play this game-everyone did/did. I think thats what you are going to have to realize. You have potential every one knows i usually dont like noobs, but you notice i try to help you all the time... Certain things you do in battle show me that you have potential to be one of the best, same with Misery.

Ha lol you don't like noobs... Anyways, yeah mono-teams are really hard sometimes, I know at first I lost every battle with my Dragon team..mainly because, i sucked. Now I know I've gotten a lot better and if you try with one type keep working with it, then you'll get better.

I can't run a slow team...just a personal thing. If you wanna run Return on Staraptor then you could look into Double-Edge since it gets the Reckless boost. I'm sure you want an attack that doesn't have any negative side effects though. With Taurus, EQ is gonna be your best bet in terms of coverage.

Staraptor isn't that slow (101 base), but I get your point though. The point is there aren't any fast special normal type sweepers (Porygon Z's 90 base is around the fastest ones, so I went for bulk with Togekiss and Porygon2 (who will probably run T-wave for synergy with Togekiss' flinchhax and to slow the opponent down. Snorlax is a great tank and ads even more paralysis to the mix with Body slam. He's also a great special wall and cursing up shouldn't be too hard with him. He's also my insurance against TR-teams, who can be deadly, proven by Noah.
Another negative side effect For Staraptor wouldn't do him good and finish him off too soon, that's why I putted Return there as an option (though Agility could be nice to outspeed opposite scarfers).

for togekiss go for twave airslash aurasphere and roost ultimate flinch hax set give him like 8 def evs and you're sitting pretty :) i also ran a pretty nice intimidate defensive tauros if you want the set?

I would like to join this guild. I need advice on which type to choose. I wont use flying because i want to be the best of my type.(Everyone on PO knows Deadae's got that on lock). I like for my team to cover as much as it can. My only needs:
A lead/ Henderer(i made this up)-one that atks status or hazes/taunts stats etc.
A physical wall
A special wall
A favorite
Here are the types im considering and my problems with them:
dragon-not much strategy beside oping foes
poison-So versatile i cant seem to make a great team only good ones.
psychic- only fav...not in the balance yet...
dark- i have never paid any attention to them to be honest
rock/steel/ground-even thier spcl walls have no spcl def lol
electric-You know rascist...yeah im like that toward jolteon ...ugliest eevee ever and hes op
water-iI don't see a clear way around Grass damage here...
fire-I see them everywhere everyone loves them they annoy me.
still I will use any of the above types and i can't narrow this down anymore so give advice plz...lol if I can even join

I don't know a whole lot about battling, i always owned my friends back in the day but there wasn't much strategy involved.
I plan on learning from my mistakes and getting better, i don't want to study too much haha.

Yep just like i thought, my ip was blocked so-me and four other trainers have to start playing at the library again. Instead of using my computor which means we only get three hours a day.

As said earlier, we can't allow you to join multiple guilds (guild polity from both the EE and the PK), so if you want to join the EE, you need to leave the PK (which counts the otherway around aswell). So if you want tp join us, you need to post in the PK thread you leave them. You can't join any earlier.

Also, sorry for being less active lately guys, I've been really busy lately with school and on top of that I've been taking an anime bath lately (Naruto, Bleach, Fairy Tail, Buso Renkin, Nyan Koi, Omamori Himari, Shuffle... but most importantly, Clannad!!!).
I'll try to be more active from now on (though I still have lots of anime series to watch, I'm turning into an anime-geek ;)).

Hey Noah, have you ever used Musharna? I never saw it much in the metagame, but it seems like a great psychic type. Calm mind plus stored power, and moonlight to keep it going. I noticed this because I started playing a new game on White, and was looking at some early pokemon I caught. Now Musharna doesn't learn much, so you'd have to keep it as a Munna until it learned stored power at 47, but some eviolite could help with that if you aren't just playing the metagame.

I don't like Musharna much in singles because its too slow and is outclassed by Sigilyph. Musharna is an amazing pokemon in doubles though. I run a monopsy TR team and Musharna does an excelent job at supporting my team.

Pinsir has been boss for quiet a while. Having mold breaker really makes him great. He is for the most part the same as heracross just without the same amount of HP.

I had a idea the other day, it for a new type for the EE, its called the wild card type.
Now you might be thinking that its someone with a mixed team, no it isn't. Someone that is the wild card type is someone that has a mono team for every single type.
And to be the wild card EE has to fight the current one with all 17 teams(I think it's 17 types atleast...)

I have a quick question. I've been on the main server trying to become a better monopsychic trainer by battling in the DW tier. I've noticed that without legends and SR, its very hard to get arround the top threats. To counter some of this I've added a "Wild Card Pokemon" to my team. A Wild Card Pokemon is SINGLE pokemon not of your monotype that is used to get passed some of the things a monoteam normally can't counter. Would this be okay for the beta phases of PU? Most of us won't be able to make a full monoteam anyway.

I never really liked any of the mystery dungeon games....just never could get into them.
I restarted black about a week ago. My first play through I simply beat the E4 and N and shut it off and never played again till I restarted it. This time through I have been using nothing but bug Pokemon and am still playing even after beating the E4 and N.

I'm just waiting for the game to come out. I'm playing too many other games to really want to get on the server and do that, but when the MMO comes out I plan to make time. I've been playing a lot of Lord of the Rings Online. A bit too much actually.

Just a random little question, and I hope I am not intruding or doing this wrong...
But you have it shown where a Pokemon that isn't initially of a type but can evolve to that type is allowed on a team of corresponding type... but what about someone like Castform? If I'm right his type changes when in weather, so would he be allowed on teams of types that correspond with weather?

My vote is no.
Because castform is a normal type pokemon. It only becomes other types in weather. Say you had hail going and your opponent brought out golduck with cloud 9. Your castform would return back to normal and you would no longer have a monotype team.

1) Pokémon like Castform, Ditto and Kecleon are normal types.
2) You can have pokémon on your team which will evolve into your corresponding type, but only if you have the intention of evolving them ofcourse.

Another example is Darmanitan, who can become part Psychic if you get him down to half health, but I don't think anyone would allow him in a psychic mono.

I was, of course, talking about pokemon that switch types permanently. Not just changing temporarily due to certain curcumstances in a battle, then reverting back afterwards. A flying mono trainer can feel free to use the charmander line as long as we don't see a level 37 charmander or charmeleon.

Did anyone notice they reduced the box number in gen 5? Why would they ever reduce the number of boxes in storage when they're always adding over a hundred new pokemon per generation?

There are two fighting/psychic types as well as steel/psychic types. I don't think you're quite in the same boat, though most psychics do worry about dark types.

Every team has it's counters, you can't prevent that. But you can try to find solutions for those problems and incorporate them in your team. That's what teambuilding is al about. Especially monotype trainers like ourselves will have to be creative with movesets and pokémon builds to overcome these obstacles and surpass those regular teams. But that's also the beauty of monotype battling and probably the reason why most of our guildmembers are here. To show off the strength of your pokémon type and to let them shine in battle...
And that was the end of today's class, people. Don't forget to bring me your reports on monotype battling by next monday ;)

Your fake out lee, is fail. If yo_'re going against ghosts, or pokes that protect, you can't get the speed, and priority moves take care of it for the most part. Plus, so... much... quoting.

Yeah, we're all active, but you won't see ity on this thread indeed. And new people always have a tendency to join while it's night around my place, so I only get to see it the next day after school (and thus the late reactions from my side).
Anyway, welcome to the EE, Timaus! I hope you'll enjoy your stay. There are some pretty strong monotype trainers around here, so don't think a type advantage will mean anything here. The trainers from this guild have a strong lack off acceptance towards trivial things like type weaknesses ;)

That's because you're special ;) Besides you already have a couple of titles already, I'll give you a quick list:
- Officer of the Elemental Elites
- Head of the balancing team.
- Pretty cool guy, which is epicsauce for a title ;)
But yeah, you might have to wait some longer, since electric isn't a highly appreciated typing (due to Gamefreak's balancing fails). I might even give up my title if I change my typing (which isn't certain yet, but poison typing keep haunting my head) in the future.

I changed it the day after you mentioned it, but this is the first time I've got the time to properly report it (extremely busy).
Anyway, about my hypothetical poison team, I've got too many (8) options. Help, anyone?
This is what I've got so far:
Special wall: Tentacruel
Physical Tank: Venusaur
Psychic counter: Drapion
Special attacker or scarfer: Gengar (countering Psychics is his main role besides general sweeping).
Lead/stallbreaker/fighting counter: Crobat
Physical sweeper (maybe bander): Scolipede
Offensive special LO/Sheer force abuse: Nidoking (boltbeam, fireblast and earth power do a poopload of damage)
Physical defensive special LO/Sheer force abuse: Nidoqueen
Drapion is a must on my team, so I will obviously have him. Synergy in my team is realy important, like I did with my fighting team. Any help/comments/alternatives are appreciated.

New Muk gets water absorb, so it's a good anti water wall for poison types. Of course toxicroak has dry skin, but he's not a defensive pokeon.

I just prefer the sword dance build with it...seemed to work out better more often then being banded or scarfed.

Yeah, I was thinking about a scolipede that worked pretty well in testing for me. I believe it was a bander with Tinted Lens who killed most opponents with it's STAB Megahorn, or a move that wos more appropriate on some pokémon (4x resists etc). Maybe I'll use it, but probably not because of synergy issues. But then there is still the nido to decide and making my movesets. I might even keep my original type. We'll see how things will work out.

I believe it was a bander with Tinted Lens who killed most opponents with it's STAB Megahorn, or a move that wos more appropriate on some pokémon (4x resists etc). Maybe I'll use it, but probably not because of synergy issues. But then there is still the nido to decide and making my movesets. I might even keep my original type. We'll see how things will work out.
Megahorn is nice, but STAB Twin Needle is great too. Since I can break subs, which is always nice. Stops most prankster users (If they go for sub first).

I received a message about people thiinking I'm hateful or otherwise unpleasant towards them. I'm sorry if it seems that way, as I don't mean to come off like that. If anyone has any problems with me, they're free to leave a PM. I'm not as active as I probably should be, but I check the board now and again.
I'll also be stepping down as leader since a leader should probably be more active than I've been. I don't plan to leave, and if this game ever gets finished, I'll be happy to contribute as a member of the guild.

EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Quiver Dance
- Sleep Powder
- Hurricane
- Bug Buzz
I usually save this poke for last cause of the sash and sleep power. But I use it so much that I have grown bored of it. I want to see if there are any other builds. I have tried some others and they have all failed in comparison to this one.

Maybe use it to inflict status and force switch with whirlwind? You already have sleep powder, but you could give it whirlwind and stun spore.

There is no need to resign. As you know we don't mind inactivity as long as you let us know. Which you have been doing
so it is completely fine. Besides the game isn't out yet so there isn't really a reason to be active.

Hey all, long time no see... again...
Been thinking about it a while, and again I might consider switching type from Ground to something else... however, I'm not sure which one yet. I've started to get a liking of Ghosts and Normal types :| Might so Normal, since there are many of them, they got some good secondary-types and they got Pidgeot >.<
But then Ghost is a pain in the but since they're only Super Effective against Ghosts and Psychics, but only take Super Effective damage from Ghosts and Dark :| Also immune to Fighting and Normal attacks, which is nice... Sadly not so many of this type :|
>.< This is hard. Gonna stay with Ground, just in case of thunder. Good thing I can be a all-around trainer when not attending to Guild stuff :P

I've got the same issues, don't worry about it and like Roloc said, have fun playing around with different types until you have your final type.

I think you did good, but you kept switching, you need to get used to the Pokemon first or else it'll be hard to yeah you know? use them and stuffs, if you ever need to train, we can train together and when we're both ready we can have another match, just not now, or tomorrow, I work all day and won't get back til almost night time, maybe next Friday, Saturday or Sunday =w=
