Title: looking to help
Post by: chrtylee on December 12, 2011, 05:25:25 AM
i could probably draw some decent pixels, esp if someone can point me to a free program similar to CAD or AutoCAD, used those for about 4 years in high school. im sure someone here has played diablo 2, and im sure some of the ppl who have have used bots, i have a bit of coding exp from those, im best with the pickits, but i can play around with the code itself a lil bit.

also, i love to write, if u need anything for side chars, or plots that u havent decided on yet, let me have a bit of insight on the story so far, and ill write u up some stuff story wise, be it quest-like, trainer interactions, or even run of the mill stuff such as intros to "chapters"

If you really want a position you first need to submit some examples of your own work, like pixel characters or quests that you have made up.

For pixelling, you have paint and GIMP (though I prefer the latter for the great options).

And yes, you need to show your work in either case, be it art or story/quest writing.

Use GIMP just like Jerry said. You can use whatever you like, but once you get used to GIMP it can do wonders. Also if you submit any art or text, please use acceptable spelling.

alright then, ill get gimp. without telling me to go thru all the forum posts, can u give me a brief idea on whats still needed? buildings/landscapes are what im best at as far as drawing things. i might be able to swing a pokemon but not gonna promise that. as far as writing goes, ill compose something later that is poke related and submit as an example.

That's what we need. Make sure to keep a tile size of 48*48 and look at the screenshots for our "theming"

Yes, all images on the internet should be assumed to be in pixels unless specified otherwise.

I look forward to seeing what you can do :D

Yes, when you make a new document, you are asked the size. The default is 640*400. You can change it to 48*48.
