For those of you who have read the mangas im sure you agree that Red is alot different than ash and they both have likeable qualitys. Which do you guys like better?

Red, end of story, need I say more, True badass of the pokemon world. He has no problem getting his hands dirty. And the manga is way better in general.

The manga is more realistic than the anime series, but this is mainly because Ash is meant for children while in the manga the real violence and gore happens, something you'd rather like children not to see anything of at that moment. I like red more because ash acts kinda dumb, doesn't learn anything and his mind and pikachu's level get reset to newbie level in order to keep the story not so OP. Next to that the talents of diffrent trainers is greatly expressed in the manga while in the anime Ash does random stuff just because it looks fun to do.

Well I like Ash because he was a big part of my childhood, but I also like Red cuz, lets face it, he's a bawss. So I'm.... leaning a bit more on Red.

Although I agree with you guys that Ash is an idiot...I still like him over Red. What can I say..I grew up with him. Love the oaf.

Ash is total jerk :D Well was good in Diamond and Pearl more then before, but now in Best Wishes, they return him on that place again.

First,it's all about Ash,Ash this,Ash that.
Second,he understands nothing about pokémon.Dat darn pikachu should be lvl 100 by now.And it lost to a lvl 5 snivy...wtf....

The chuck norris of pokémon.
Noone is badass enough to complete the pokedex,going to live in a icey mountain.And when you challenge him,he says nothing.And proceeds to own your unprepared butt :P
PS:Ash throws his zard in a freaking valley.
Red's zard is a destruction machine....

Ash... Sending his Caterpie out against Pidgeotto... Even I didn't do that in my first Pokemon game (before I saw the anime 8)).. well, it wasn't my Pokemon game, but you know what I mean.
Red. Obviously he's the best. He knows type differences, he knows how to win, he even beats a War Veteran pretty easily... WHILE BEING ZAPPED! If my memory is right, Ash had serious problems against Lt.Surge. + he used Pikachu!
And SUUUURE! Electric vs Fire and Ground... Yeah... nuff said. They let him win because he is the "hero".
Red wins!

Forget to mention, Red´s battle against Blue/Green in the finals was the best battle in history. Venusaur beats Charizard. So epic :D

Well thats only thing I like more in anime then in manga, main character in anime do not win every league, which is what doo not happen in manga :D

Oh, you weren't the only one. Pikachu took care of my Feraligatr and (mostly) water team pretty fast.

He pretty much is what Ash is DYING to become(it'll never happen 'cause they'd have to end EVERYTHING, and we know how Nintendo loves continuing things, even if the storyline is confusing *cough* Legend of Zelda *cough*)
Red doesn't cry, or fall apart when he loses, he just trains like a BAWS.

If red was in Ash's Place during the Sinnoh League, then Sceptile, Charizard, and Staraptor would've been all he needed to beat the E4,champ of the region, and champ of the league. not only that, Ash hax to win sometimes(Thunder Armor, has pikachu jump out of a stream of luster purge with no problem, ect.
Still, we're better than them both.

Red, he wins with skill whereas half the times Ash wins its sympathy.
Also, Ash should be the best trainer in the world right now, yet he still lost to a kid who just got his first Pokemon :/. He just doesn't mature.
Red on the other hand is a boss and always wins.
