Today I finished Assassin's creed: Revelations and I thought of an idea:
Why not making a bazaar so players will be able to buy and sell from other players and auction events from time to time.
In addition, adding some NPCs that sales fruits or Battle items such as Quick Claw and X Accuracy.
Another optional thing is making a random array of the items in NPC shops so every time there plus you can enter rare items with low chance of coming up.
About the random array: maybe making it change every period of time

There will be auction houses for NPCs and players alike to trade items. (and by trade, I mean buying, selling)

Major buying and selling areas will form naturally in online games, usually in towns/areas of high traffic. A lot of times game developers create a specific area for player to player buying/selling but those areas stay empty because the player base found a place that is naturally bustling with other people to buy their goods.

You can count on us creating an area for this - and it won't be empty.
Basically people tend to gather near points of interest. And WE decide where these points of interest are located. We can therefore create an area of interest where all the players will lag.
In Pokemon Universe we assume that this spot will be close to the Pokemon Center, where city battling will take place, but also within a short range of an Auction House, Bank and whatnot that is of interest of the player.
