I chose cobalion and tyranitar is not a legendary, arcanine is a racing legend not legendary.

i said at the top 'i know salamence and tyranitar arent legendaries'... and according to arcanine's bulbapedia page it is a "Legendary Pokemon"..

Arcanine is not legendary Pokemon, but his species are Legendary Pokemon (notice difference)

Neither are Salamence and Tyranitaur. I think they're ubers, but not legendaries.
But I'll vote for Tyranitaur cuz he's awesome. :D

Salamance is Uber, Tyranitar is not, but he has comparable base stats with legendaries, even better stats then some legendaries.

I avoid actually using legendaries also, but I really did like using Zekrom in White....

For me it's MewTwo, hands down. There's just something about it that screams epic to me, not to mention in the anime it was wise as poop and can make you sound intelligent if you quote some lines from the first movie hahaha
Btw, Arcanine is under "Legendary Pokemon" for species type, but the developers love throwing that word around. Arcanine really isn't that hard to obtain seeing as Growlithes are like puppies in the Pokemon World, and fire stones don't seem *that* difficult to obtain in both the games and anime. With that said, you have to remember that in the first gen, there were numerous rare pokemon that could be considered legendary, at the time. This includes all of Dratini's evolved forms, the ancient fossilized-Pokemon, Arcanine, Rapidash, and maybe even a few others. I think because of there being very few legendaries at the time, rare Pokemon were thrown in that group to compensate, whereas today they really shouldn't be there as we have way too many legendaries.

:D Oh so true! Now I feel horrible for picking Giratina over him. Mewtwo has always been my favorite, and will be, FOREVER!

If Arcanine is there...Lucario should be in there too (Very mad face).
Anyway,i have to pick Reshiram,it resembles me the creature charizard never stood up to be.
Uber,dragon/fire,legendary and as that sort of angelic feeling to it.
This is without doubt the only legendary that i would like to obtain,for battling purposes.
(Also part of my slight dislike of white 2,seeing defiled as the ugly Kyurem steals it's appeareance >.<)

Mewtwo and Arceus are on a par for me, I might even say that I see Arceus a little cooler, albeit I voted for Mewtwo simply because he was kicking arse before it was cool.

even though tyranitar isn't a legendary pokemon, I'd still pick him over the others Just because he's the kind of power house I'd want on my team. Plus he's got a sweet look to him XD

The fact that Mew can learn any TM or HM and has an even 100 on base stats across the board just make it one of the most versatile pokemon out there (plus it's cute). Although Mewtwo and Reshiram tie for a close second in my book.

Technically speaking, Mewtwo probably is the strongest legendary, (or second strongest considering Arceus is a god) but I'mma vote for Lugia 'cause I roll like that. -w-

I'm not sure if Arcanine is really legendary, but I voted it anyway. It's beautiful and strong.

Arcanines my favourite too, but it's not a legendary. Its species classification is legendary, but its not legendary. By the reasoning the OP has, whom i am not mocking, absol is a dsaster and scyther is a mantis for examples.

Dialga is,technically, the god of time, so celebi is just a pawn to it.

He was super BA in the movie and took on zapdos, moltres and articuno. Lives at the bottom of the sea and creates storm. Lugia all the way!
