Okay guys, here's the penultimate faction, I hope you guys have enjoyed reading these as much as I have writing them.
Team Rocket

History: After the collapse of Team Rocket in Johto, Giovanni retired to an isolated house in the country with his family and Pokémon. The failure never left him however, and 10 years later, he succumbed to months of depression and stress, dying in his sleep. His only child, Leopoldo saw what had become of his father and vowed to never follow the same path of evil. He left home at the budding age of 10, with the aim of becoming the greatest Pokémon trainer ever. He trained hard and his career peaked 2 years later when he won the Kanto Pokémon League Competition, narrowly defeating a mysterious girl of similar age. Once declared a Pokémon master, Leopoldo saw his dreams as fulfilled and settled down in Goldenrod City to contribute back to society, volunteering as a Pokémon hairdresser. His kindness and generosity became famous and the queue outside his door would stretch around the corner. At the suggestion of one of his clients, Leopoldo ran for mayor, becoming the youngest person ever to do so at the age of 18. Sadly, he lost the elections by a landslide, though retaining second place. In a rage, he packed his belongings and left, never to be seen in Goldenrod again.
March the following year; a major bank was robbed in Saffron City, a newly regrouped gang of Rocket members claiming responsibility. Since then attacks by the criminal group have intensified to a level of violence, surpassing that under the rule of Giovanni. With the discovery of Miryus however, the publicity of Team Rocket has dropped dramatically, with no evidence of them being found in regions other than Jhoto and Kanto. Citizens and law enforcement alike hope for this calm stalemate to continue, however unlikely that may be.

Fantastic work, Declan. It wouldn't be the same without Team Rocket!
Although, I'll probably end up being with either Trinity or the Pidgey Post... probably the latter.

Im assuming the leader is Leopoldo right? If not why did you include his story. So my problem is, you're saying losing a simple election was enough to convince this devoted kid to throw away his old good ways and turn to a life of crime like his dad? That just doesnt sound believable to me.

Something in his genes maybe? Remember Giovanni hated losing against Red. Maybe Leopoldo's just as stubborn as his dad and just thinks that being the nice guy has got him no power, whilst his father was the head of a massive criminal organisation and the most powerful gym leader in Kanto.

You know, I told declan the same thing. and about the leader backstories, those are seperate from the factions. I'm not sure if we're revealing the faction leaders backstories.

My bet would be that the leader is the Mysterious Girl he beat at the tournament, and Leopoldo's disappearance is something to fool us.

I agree, the Mysterious Girl must be the leader but I think Leopoldo must be a part of the story somehow. Probably going to try and put a stop to Team Rocket.

I hope there's a character similiar to James&Jessie (and Meowth) to blow up to the skies.

That was my first thought. I thought something more tragic should have happened, like maybe his adversary played it really dirty to win, and Leopoldo is mortified and left questioning what to do with himself? I don't know, I feel like there's more to this as others have stated, which is probably true.

Funny... I were sure Giovanni's only son were called Silver and that he DIDN'T win any Leagues...

We changed the story up a bit for legal reasons.

Maybe in storylines. The whole point of these factions is that players can join them, and I assume there'll be some sort of 'war' type thing going on between them, so it's completely dependant on who's in the factions, really and people have wanted to be a part of Team Rocket since Day 1... and Pokémon Universe is finally giving them that opportunity.
Team Trinity FTW, though.

This is what (or at least the impression I'm getting, someone please tell me if I'm greatly mistaken) you'll be able to do in the games with the different factions. Check out News & Announcements for the list of factions made so far, and judging by how Declan called this one the "penultimate" one, we can expect one more on the way.

Well, you just need to be aware that the current system doesn't allow it. It might be made possible in the future and this is currently under discussion :)

It's not annoyed, it's more a little disappointed. XD But yea, I already posted the one with Johto spelt right on the PU Wikia :)
