Background StoryIn the year 2045, an organization called 'The Authority" took command as the world's government, and made laws to get rid of all distractions so the people of the world will only work. With these laws, all video game companies, including Nintendo, were shut down. However, the gaming population did not let up, and a black market containing everyone's beloved game Pokemon was formed.
The Authority soon caught on to the market, and designed a machine that would short circuit all gaming consoles as soon as they were turned on. This brought on unexpected results, as the signal to cause the short circuit caused the consoles to go haywire, creating a rip through space and time, transporting the user into the pokemon world.
With disapearences happening all around the world, The Authority soon realized what they have done, and set their sights on the new world, and sought to destroy it. Transporting themselves through hacked game cards, they were able to take on the persona of Team Rocket, which to them was the same as the real world. Which side will you take, stop the authority, or help them take control?

Rules
-No Gmodding. It will get you kicked from the RP.
-You must use proper spelling and grammar. Dialogue can be use in any style that is readable.
-No flaming of any kind. It will get you kicked from the RP.
-Battle outcomes between players must be determined before hand, either in OOCC, or private messaging.
-No one shotting gym leaders. For this purpose, the GM will play as all gym leaders during battles.
-No one shot pokemon catching. The GM will decide in any way they choose if you caught one.
-character must be from real world and sent to the pokemon world. No use of pre-existing characters i.e, Red, Prof. Oak, Prof. Elm, etc.
-Breaking any rule will result in strikes. After three, you're out of the RP.

I fiddled with the red ball and all the while I walked. I entered a canopy of trees and the area got darker. I pressed the white button on the ball and the bird flew out.
Me-woah.
The bird landed on my shoulder. While I walked I stepped on something round and hairy.
(tis your face.)

"Fernando Oxford Xander, remember this name well; for it is the name of your destroyer..." I looked rather sinister in the mirror, but I didn't get the feeling I wanted to from it. I walked to the only chair in my room and sat down, how had the commanders convinced me to come to this wrenched world?! A world filled with creatures that had no right to exist out of video game! Standing up I threw the chair across the room, smashing the mirror in the process. I walked up to the mess, reached down, and grabbed the biggest piece I could find. Taking it I rolled up my sleeve and contemplated where I should conduct this anger relieving process...
A few minutes later there was a rather large pool of blood in the sink of the bathroom. I tied a lose towel around my arm to arrest the flow of blood, inspecting the sleeve of my jacket as I did so. Much to my releaf, not a single drop of blood had found it's way on my newly cleaned jacket. With the trickle of blood coming from my arm gone I rolled my sleeve back down and left my apartment. I had a job to do.

Me-And who might you be my feline fellow.

Me-I think it's an Improvement actually.

I motion to the bird on my shoulder.

Me-Wait, there's a whole world of these and what I've got to "catch em all"?
The bird flies around.
Me-Does it do anything?

Me-What, it's gonna like rugby tackle things.
The bird charges into my nuts. It hits super effectively.
Me-note to self, never underestimate tackling birds.

Me-Lemme guess from an old guy with short hair on the sides.
I smirk,
Me-If it is him then he fell off his ladder and knocked himself clean out...
The bird flies onto my shoulder.
Me-I guess because you asked so nicely I'll come with you.

Collette kept at a steady pace with the forest pokemon until they opened a pathway for her and her new friend, Budew. They decided to go ahead but found a strange boy with cat ears and a Meowth with no ears. She decided to go to them and speak.
Collette-Sorry, but do you two boys realize where we are?
The Budew jumped on Collette's head and sat there.

(is the town like 4 buildings, if not then please can only Pallet have 4 cuz I got a funny joke.)
I look at him seriously,
Me-you're kidding right, there's only four buildings.
(if more than four)
Me-I think it's that one, the big one at the sea edge.
?-sorry, but do you two boys know where we are.
I spin around,
Me-Pallet Town... I think.

Me-AAARRGH!
I slam my head into a wall dazing me a bit. I see three old men.
(hot-headed lol.)

"Where do we stand grunt?" I looked down at one of the newer recruits with a gaze that could freeze the sun.
"Uh...It's...It's good! Sir!"
"What's good, Grunt?!"
His left leg suddenly was wet, he had p*ssed himself. "Get this disgrace out of my face!" He gurnt lowered his head and limped off to lick his wounds. I took his place at the station he was sitting on and turned the device on.
"Can you hear me Real World?" Static, "I repeat, can you hear me Real World?" More static.
"Yes...and clear."
Well at least we could talk to the real world again...

Budew jumped off of Collette's head and used one of it's buds to wave
Budew-Bud Bud( hello fellow friend)
Collette uses her jacket to cursty.
Collette- I am Collette Brunel, and that's my Budew.
when another boy came, he apperently injured himself and Collette rushed over to him.
Collette- are you alright?

I pass out into the dirt. A moan escapes my mouth.

While being stepped on I still slept... I sleep talk a lot.
Me-use... Tackle.
The bird tackles shodingers balls.

Sighing, Collette took off her jacket and carried the boy on her back. she then went to a house that said "Red's House." She entered te building and asked the mother of Red to take care of the boy. after the mother accepted the task, Collette left the house and put her jacket back on and followed who she tought was a "Kitty boy."
(I won't be on til tomorrow, so I would like it if you, Meowth, allowed Collette to follow you. also, if starters are chosen, i'll prefer Squirtle.)

Hearing a lot of ruckus outside the lab. I had to investigate what was going on. Jumping up onto a fence on the side of the lab I see two people which appeared to be fighting each other....or something of that sort.
Dashing over to the side of them and jumping quickly onto the trainer that had the meowth as a Pokemon and landed on the trainers head.
Quickly announcing that I am there with a very serious notion "RIOOLUU" Not a big fan of people who fight for no reason. "Riolu...Riolu rio!" (Stop....Stop now!)
Sticking its head up in disapproval. Oak noticing what I was doing hurry and came over and tried to get me to stop by going into my Pokeball....Freaking out quickly dodging the beam from the pokeball and using quick attack and smacks into Prof. Oaks face....falling back down slamming onto the ground. ""Rio....Lu"

Gaining consciousness back I realize what I did and panic again bowing in front of the meowth and his trainer apologizing for that rude intro. Going behind Prof. Oak and looking back at them.
Oak: No he is fine and quite a hyper little one too. He just hatched from his egg just a few days ago and apparently hates being in his Pokeball. He is supposed to be someones starter Pokemon, but no one has chosen him yet since mainly he is still just a newborn..

Looking at the trainer and meowth's gesture to go with them....Raising an eyebrow to them..
Oak: Well I must warn you what I know about this little one is he is rather distrusting of most people. I guess its because of the color of his fur that makes him rather picky. You see the reason he hasn't been chosen yet is because he won't let them take him. He will only go if someone beats him in a battle to prove they are strong enough to train him right. So far no one could. He has a very strong will on that. IF you want you can challenge him.
Looking at the meowth gesturing to me.
"Riolu! Rio Rio Rio Riolu!" (Hey! I will only go if you battle me and win!")

Smiling with great excitement as meowth lunges at me using scratch I decide to meet him head on with Quick attack!
"Riolu...Rio Rio!" (Challenge.....acc epted!"
As I crash into meowths scratch dealing damage to both sides!
"Riolu rio rio Riolu!" (Lets see who has more endurance!)
Starts using foresight to make my attacks more accurate and lunges back into another quick attack going after meowth again!

Startled by the growl...makes me unable to avoid the scratch. Having only one chance I use endure.
Bracing for the impact of the scratches in hopes the endure will hold.
"Rio...!" (C'mon) Thinking to myself "Am I really going to lose to a cat??"
Finally the barrage of scratches is over and the endure holds but barely hanging on...
Uses quick attack one last time at full strength!! Dashing at meowth at high speed!
"Riolu rio RIO!" (Ok, this end NOW!) "Rio Rio" (All or nothing)

Getting hit with the scratch at the last moment and does enough damage and I end up fainting as well..."Rio pant lu"
As I fall to the ground.
Oak: Well now that is the first time someone was able to make him faint since he was hatched a few days ago I am Impressed. Now I wonder what he is going to think about it when he wakes up from this. I must say it was a great battle for both sides!
Waking up several minutes later seeing that meowth woke up before me and was already recovering...I knew who took the most damage from a points wise. Being a fairly decent fan of boxing when I was human I knew I really had been beaten even though we both fainted..
Looking up at the trainer putting a careless gesture up as a front...."Riolu Rio Rio" (Well you won in my book)
Slowly walking over to him sitting down next to him looking at meowth and with a happy notion "RIO! Rio RIOLU!" (YOU! that WAS FUN!)
Nodding at the trainer in approval.
Oak: Well I guess that settles it then I think he would like to go with you on your journey. Treat this one well not everyday you see a Riolu like this..Color and spirit!
Oak hands Schrodinger the Pokeball that goes to Riolu!

Tilting my head at Meowth has he puts his hand up to me...."Rio?" (huh?)
With a confused look on my face I just shrug it off as it was not clicking to what Meowth was trying to do.
Seeing an apple tree next to the lab my eyes light up. Quickly scurrying to the tree and up to one of the branches to sit on and starts eating on one of the apples.
With a mouth full from the apple.."Rioouush Riolshu" (Very tasty!)
Looking down I see Schrodinger sighing...Thinking quickly I pick 2 apples and throw them to Meowth and Schrodinger. "Rio!"

Looking at Schrodinger. Thinking of something to do. Eyes light up and I start chuckling a little bit. Jumping out of the tree I go over to him take out my Pokeball and make it bigger. Starts balancing it on my head as if it was a circus act. Trying to do a circus theme music "Rio ri ri ri Rio Rio.............." "Rio Rio Rio riolu ri riolu." (Man its hard when all he can understand is Riolu as of what I am saying...)
Thinking back I really didn't care too much about what was happening in my life in the other world so it didn't do much to me feelings wise. Notices the Pokeball fell "Rio" Picking it back and and tries to balance it again!

"rio rio rio Riolu ri rio riolu rio rio...." (Yea I am from another world too so this is rather odd for me too.....)
Thinking to myself...'well no matter this is a once in a lifetime chance I am a freaking Pokemon how cool is that!"
Stoked from what I was think in a pumped up gesture "RIO RIOLU!" Doing a fist pump at Schrodinger to show he is ready! Pointing at a road that appeared to lead out of the town. "Riolu!"

As I am there getting pumped I notice Schrodinger already running ahead "Rio!" Starting to run up behind him. Thinking to myself "This should be an interesting added spice to my life I would have to say!"
A cat and a dog as this guys first Pokemon wondering how on earth this is going to work out down the road....

Running a little behind them panting the entire way still not fully recovered from the battle.
"Riolu pant pant Rio..." (recover pant pant there...)
Gesturing at the Pokemon Center off in the distance.
"Rio!"

I wake up noticing everyone was gone.
me-oh...
I shrug and look over to the bird. Its passed out on the floor. I scoop him up and the old an from before comes up to me.
Old man-Hey there grandson... What was your name again?
My face turns red and I knock him out. I take a red boxy thing.
me-Maybe I can sell it.
I set off in the direction of the place I met the... Other boy.

While I walked through the forest I saw a little green blob on the floor. I grab it and hear a shout.
?-CATERPIE!
I was startled by the cry, I looked down at the thing and saw that it was a caterpillar of some sort. I poke it, my finger plodges it several times. It tackles me in the balls and I double over. I look at the bird.
me-keel eet!
The bird tackles the worm and the worm gets hit badly. It gets up and uses some silk to trap my bird. My bird attacks with a tackle again and he defeats the worm. Blue rises from my bird and I hear a voice from no where.
me-Pidgey leveled up to level 4!
This place just gets stranger and stranger.
I look ahead and see the light shining out of the canopy of trees which must mean I'm leaving the forest soon.

me-Uhuh sure.
I throw a punch at Lozenge or whatver he was called.
me-You left me with a dodgey old guy.

I look at him.
me-First off, I decide what and where I wanna go, second, what's up with your very stupid accent?
My bird lands on my shoulder.

me-I just... Got here.
My stomach grumbles and I moan.
me-I'm going to go get something to eat.
I set off into town.

me-Give or take a day.

After The Oak talked to the Kitty boy, he wen't into red's house, With collette following him only to see that he was punched in the face. Moments passed and Oak was back on his feet.
Oak- oh dear. I'm getting too old for this. By the way, young lady, Take these pokeballs and start your journey.
OBTAINED 5 POKEBALLS.(Music plays)
Collette- What the heck? oh well. thanks for the pokeballs.
Collette left the house to go to route 1. once she got there, a pidgey was encountered.
Collette-Ready, budew?
Budew jumped off her head and used Extrasensory on the pidgey, flinching it. Budew then used absorb to make it a littke bit weaker. The pidgey used a Gust to blow Budew away. Collette then took out a poke ball and walked up to the bird. it was pretty weakened, so it couldn't attack anymore.
Collette- Pidgey, I'm sorry. How about i make it up to you by having you on my team?
Collette's and the Pidgey's eyes glistened at each other, and Pidgey pecked the button to allow itself in.
Collette- Nice. Pidgey is on my side.
After the battle, Collette went a bit further to Viridian city. She decided to heal her pokes.
Joy- hello. Would you like to heal your pokemon?
Collette- Yes I would, thank you.
She handed them over to Joy and sat, waiting for their recovery.

Joy- your pokemon are done healing.
Collette- thank you.
Collette walked out of the PC and left the city to go to the Viridian forest. once in the thick of the forest after a few minutes, She ancountered a caterpie. Pidgey came out and was ready to battle.
Collette(thoughts)- alright, Pidgey should have gust, so that's what i'm gonna want him to do.
Before collette could say anything, pidgey was already using gust. the Caterpie was blown a little back. The caterpie then used String Shot to prevent the bird from flying.
Collette- Tackle!
Pidgey was up on his talons and charged for Caterpie and vice versa, the two collided and Caterpie was down. suddenly, Pidgey flashed for a moment.
Voice- Pidgey grew to level 6!
Collette-I'm So Happy! Good job, Pidgey. Now, let me get that string from around your wings...

Following behind Schrodinger and the other trainer he was talking to I was getting rather bored....Looking around I see a Pidgey about to fly by us. Chuckling a little bit I hurry and jump on Schrodingers shoulder and lunge from top of his head at the bird.
Unfortunately it would be a rather agile Pidgey and easily dodges me and I plummet to the ground face first.....*Thump*
Sitting back up. "Riooooo" (Owwwwww)
Angry at the bird as it flies off not impressed....

right after pidggey was able to fly again, a mankey shows up along with a rattatta.
Collette- Not another one. * throws her jacket*

Warren walked along the path to virvidian with his new charmander. From what gathered something had happened when he turned on the game. He had been whisked to prof. Oak who gave him charmander and a pokedex. Be looked up when he saw a sign that said, Virvidian forest, great! He had missed the city. no use whining. He walked into the forests and walked until he heard a rustling in the grass. Looking down a yellow mouse jumped out. Warren pulled out his poke sec, and it informed him that it was a pikachu. Charmander stepped out in front if Warren
Char char (let's battle)
Pika Pika (bring it)
Warren pointed at the pikachu and said
Charmander scratch.
Charmander charged and scratched pikachu across the face, then without being told he followed up with growl. Pikachu leaped back slightly limping and then used thunder wave quickly followed by thunder shock. It hit charmander making him cry out in pain, Warren decided to use his last trick
Charnander ember
The embers hit Pikachu knocking him down, Warren threw one of the poke balls he had been given. It moved three times then stopped, Warren quickly picked up the pokr ball then recalled Charmander. He ran out of the forest heading for Virvidian cities pokemin center.

I walked up to a group of trainers that were talking amungst themselves. "Say, do you know where I could find a Pokedex?"

Warren quickly reached the pokemon center and gave nurse Joy the pokeballs, they were healed quickly and Warren let them both out as they exited the poke Mon center. He spotted a bunch of trainers with an older man and brushed past them, not even paying attention. They entered Virvidian forest and Warren said
Let's get to training.

The mankey came out and used scratch on Pidgey, while Rattata used tackle on Budew. Pidgey was hit, Budew dodged the attack.
Collette- Budew, Extrasensory.
A Burst of energy hit both wild pokemon.
Collette- Pidgey, Sand attack on Mankey.
Mankey suddenly had sand in it's eyes. it scratched wildly and winded up hitting rattata.
Collette- Pidgey, Gust.
Both wild pokemon were blown by gust into trees, fainting them. budew flashed.
Voice- Budew grew to Lv.6!
Collette- Awsome.
Collette continues through the forest.

I laughed out loud at his question. "Lets just say I have somethings I need to do here. So, what's your name young man?" I held out my hand for a handshake.

"What's the Authority? If you don't mind my asking." the kid shook my hand, not the best one I had ever gotten, but at least he had some manners.

Charmander leaped out of the way of a blast from pikachu then retaliated with a embers, pikachu dodged out of the way and shot another thunder shock. It hit Charmander paralyzing him. Charmander barely managed to use embers again , pikachu vanished then reappeared a few feet away
hold up did you just learn quick attack,
Pikachu nodded vigorously and jumped on Warrens shoulder followed closely by Charmander who came to stand by his leg.
Well let's go fund us someone to battle.

"HAHAHA! Of course I'm not from this world! I am a humble researcher in the other world. When I learned that possibly thousands of new species had been discovered in this world I found my way in as quickly as I could, perhaps a bit too quickly... And I hold no alligence to this Authority you speak of." The kid was poking me, I almost snapped and broke his hand, but I held my composure. I gently grabbed his and and pushed it away from me, then I playfully ran my hand through his hair. "So, where might I find a Pokedex?"

"Thank you young man. I hope I see you soon..." I smiled as nicely as I could muster then walked into Oak's Lab. "Hey old fart! I need a pokedex, what's the deal? How do I get one?" He was a bit taken back by my attitude and my age.
"Aren't you a bit old to be starting an adventure?"
"I'm a scientist, one's never too old to start an adventure. Fork it over and I'll be gone."
He handed me one of the Dexes on a table and I quickly headed for the door. "Hey, wait! Don't you want a starter?!"
"No thanks, I have my own Pokemon." As I left the door I pushed past a kid that wasn't there before, who cared, I had what my boss wanted.

Looking up at Schrodinger I see he has a very odd look on his face as he sets off looking for something....I hurry and jump on his shoulder so I don't get left behind. "Rio?" As I gesture to find out what is going on.

As Warren walked along the road he saw the older man from earlier arguing with the teenager, he saw the older man set off and the teen begin to follow him. Warren shrugged and walked past them, he needed to talk to Prof. Oak about where he needed to go to find some stronger trainers. He set off quickly and arrived because he was jogging, and saw the older man slam past some boy, he hid in the shadows and decided to watch this could be interseting.

The teen from earlier with the strange ears stepp in front of him and begin talking, Warren couldnt hear so He inched closer still just out of sight the only words he heard were

As we reach Prof. Oaks lab again first thing that pops into my mind is......APPLE TREE!!!! I scurry up the tree and grab another apple and start munching on it as Schrodinger and the other guy talks.
"Riolu rio rio ri." (Hey meowth come relax while they do whatever.) "Riolu riolu riolu rio." (Come get an apple over here.)
Thinking to myself..."Now that I think about it he does look rather odd starting a journey being that old."
As I was done thinking that a brilliant idea struck me.....An enormous mischievous grin appears on my face. As I hurl an apple at the mystery man!
I start laughing so hard I end up falling out of the tree before I even see if I hit my target or not.

Warren sees an apple flying towards the older man,
We cant have that can we it will ruin the show. Charmander ember, Pikachu thundershock.
The attacks hit causing the apple to break and slices of roasted apples, they landed in Warrens jacket which he had taken off to catch them.
Now we have food for the show.

As I am done laughing I look up and the old man isn't hurting...."Riolu?" (What the?)
"Grrrrrr..." Looking around "Riolu Rio Rio?" (What in the world happened?)
I start searching trying to figure out where the apple went with small hints of seared apple in the air....I sniff them near a dark area and comes up to another person. "Rio?" (Huh?)
With a puzzled look on my face I start sniffing out the person hiding trying to figure out who it is.

Warren heard sniffing and quietly looked over, he saw a Riolu. Quickly glancing at Charmander and Pikachu he said
Surround it.
They did as told and when they were in position, Charmander said
Char, Char.(Who are you and what do you want.)

I freak out looking at charmander. "Riolu Ri Rio Riolu" (I mean no harm.) "Rio Rio Riolu Ri Ri Riolu Rio Rio." (That guy over there with the ears is my trainer.) "Riolu Riolu Rio" (Sorry they were making me bored is all.) "Ri Rio Rio Riolu Ri Rio Riolu." (And I was curious to where that apple went and what that smell was.)

Charmander hoped Riolu would say yes he needed practice.

Looking at the charmander requesting a sparing match with me. I grin back at him. "Riolu Rio." (I accept.) "Riolu ri ri rio riolu!" (This should make things a little bit funner for me!) "Ri Rio Riolu Rio Ri Rio." (There should be an area behind the lab where I fought before at.)

Warren got the gist of the pokemon conversation. Charmander tugged on his pants and lead him to a field behind the lab. Charmander ran into the field waiting for someone and Warren turned to pkiachu. They exchanged glances then both looking at Charmander. They waited just looking Tat him trying to figure out what was going on.

Looking as the charmander gets ready I walk over to the other side a little distance away from him. Taking a fighting stance to show I am ready for the practice.
"Rio!"

Char
making the first move character fires a few embers at Riolu in quick succession.

Putting my arms up to block some of the damage from the embers. Before Charmander is done using the ember attacks. Quickly rolling to the side using Foresight to hone in on Charmander to make it harder for him to evade me. Lunging forward into a quick attack towards Charmander.

Charmander launches a quick embers then prepares to meet the quick attack head on with scratch.

Slamming into the Charmander with my Quick attack and being hit with a scratch attack....Jumping back to avoid being hit again.. Once again going into another quick attack directly at Charmander again. "Dang feeling the damage from those embers earlier now.." Thinking to myself. This time watching closely to see what the Charmander does in return...

Charmander barely leaps away then uses growl followed up with an attempted ember, as the flames left his mouth they transformed into a large billow of smoke encasing Riolu. Charmander began to circle the smoke looking for Riolu
Warren looked shocked from the side lines
was that smoke screen?

I look around for some kind of cafe in the town but to no avail.
me-Is it just me or do you never get hungry in this game?
Pidgey nodded. see riolu fighting some guy with a lizard.
me-I'm gonna go... Do something.
I walk off in the direction of the deep forest ahead.

$$$$$$Sorry for waiting to long to post, But it was late and had to go to work early the next morning so I had to go to bed.$$$$$$$$$
As I slide to stop being shocked myself....."Rio?" (wha?) Thinking to myself "Now what...Not even my foresight prevents this.."
"Only option is to run and hope I can get out."
Using a quick attack in order to swiftly run through the smokescreen I finally reach the edge of it and burst out to the sunshine. Looking around not seeing the charmander anywheres...
"Rio Riolu?" (Where is he?) Looking around going into a fighting stance waiting for him to appear in one of the directions....

Charmander looked over as Riolu burst from the smoke with his back turned to him. Charmander let out a ember then followed it up with a scratch
Char Char (Your good)

The ember hits me in the back and does a lot of damage. I have enough time to turn around to see Charmander in my face about to use scratch on me....I hurry and use my move endure!
Bracing for the impact of his scratch I barely survive it. Without even realizing what I started doing as soon as he scratched me I used Counter....Swinging forcibly at the charmander!
"RIIIIIOOOOLUUU!!!" As I scream out.

Charmander screams as the counter hits him and as he's sent flying through the air he breaths out a smoke screen. He slams into a tree a little distance away and struggles to his feet,

Looking at what I did shocked..."Rio riolu rio ri?" (Did I just learn a new move?) Still being new to the whole being a Pokemon never experienced learning a new move.
"Riolu Rio Rio Riolu." (How about we stop here.) "Ri Riolu Ri Ri Rio." (Since it is supposed to be only a sparring match lets not kill each other.) With a smile on my face from the excitement of the battle. Waits for charmanders reply to see if he accepts.

Char Char Charmander (Yeah we both are really powerful in my opinion, how about we go get healed up by Prof. Oak.)
He waved his arms at Warren and Pikachu and they approached, Warren looked at the Riolu and said
Does your trainer have anymore pokemon because I've been looking for someone to have my first official battle with.

Thinking for a second...."Rio!" Running and jumping on the fence I point at meowth sitting in the tree just relaxing. After that I head into Prof. Oaks lab to see if he could tend to my cuts and bruises... With a few bandages he lets me back out and going back to the fence to look around the area to see if I can see anything.

Earren send Pikachu and Charmander in to Prof. Oak with Riolu then he approached the Meowths trainer. He tappped him on the shoulder and asked

Seeing the trainer go over to Schrodinger I follow behind him and sit next to the trainer looking up at Schrodinger "RIOLU!" with a happy look on my face "^_^" Showing all my bandages from the burns and cuts proud of them.

Collette went back to get and dust off her jacket. She then re-proceeded to the next city.

Pikachu uses tail whip then follow it up with quick attack.
Pikachu leaps away from meowth and uses a tail whip then charges at Meowth with a quick attack, vanishing and reappearing in various places . Charmander on the side lines looks at Riolu cheering and says

Pikachu feels the pain from the Bitwe and leaps away
Pikachu Thunder shock.
Pikachu leaps into the air and send a bolt of electricity hurtling at Meowth.

Pikachu quick attack meet it head on!
Pikachu starts descending from the air and lands using the momentum to boost his quick attack heading straight for Meowth.

Charmander comes and stand besides Warren and they set off at a slow pace for virvidian, He sees the teen run past him and he screams

I gazed upon the city. It seemed quite familiar. However if I would enter the city, what would happen? I am considered a wild pokémon after all. I looked down on the orange furred paws which were once hands. If I were to run into the city that would mean I risk having to take on a trainer and have the risk of being caught and be surely stuck in this world forever. Not that I would mind, this is quite the world I like. However back in my own world there are also people, and I'm not sure if the flow of time goes on while I'm here. The first time a Trainer did pass me he did notice I was there thanks to his pidgey who got all nervous. But I shouldn't make a habit of it. If this world goes on exacly as how the game used to go the gym of this city should be the Head Quaters of Team Rocket. Meaning that the chance that if I get caught here might also be a chance that I'll be forced to do evil... However, if I do get noticed by a trainer I should be prepared to fight. I don't even know which moves I can use right now. So first I should practise that. I silently left the brushes and went back towards route 1. I have to find a small place where I can practise my fire abilities... Specifically a place where practically no trainers come across.

As Schrodinger grabs me up and starts carrying me to the nearest Pokemon center I look up confused as I am not that seriously injured...I slip out of his hand and jump onto his shoulder. With a happy tone I start trying to sing..."Rio rio RIO riooo Rio Ri Ri Ri Rio Rio R I O L U!" *repeat*

As I walked through the grass a little green worm like the one from before comes up to me.
me-Caterpie.
It looked as if it wanted to battle so my bird hopped to the floor. I decided I might as well,
me-Bird use tackle!
The worm which I guess was a caterpie used silk to dodge.
me-Use tackle again.
Both pokemon collide with each other but the worm gives in. It gets up slowly. I pull out a red ball. I throw it and the worm dissapears inside. I wobbles a bit then clicks.
me-Cool.

I was tired. My toungue hanged out of my mouth while I was breathing. Now that I knew what moves I could use I felt a little more confident about surviving this world. My stomach growled. A shock came through me. Where do I find something to eat? That was right, I didn't know anything about this world, what was edible and what not. Then I noticed a small plant. It contained berries. The shape was very familiar to me. It had the shape of a strawberry but instead of red it was blue and it was slightly bigger than strawberries are supposed to be. I decided to try the berry. It had a terrible bitter taste but I had to do with it for now it was choosing between famine or a terrible taste but no hunger. I realised what I just ate. It was a rawst berry. I took a better look around my environment. I saw more Rawst Plants growing around the place. I heard a river in the distance, I ran towards it to have a drink.

The worm motions a yes.
me-ok, what do we train agaisnt?
As I say something a green... Thing falls from a tree. it wiggles around but moves no where.
me-I'm guessing that.
My caterpie tackles it and the thing just stiffens. We tackle again and again and again and again. Every time it stiffens.
me-AARRGHH!
Caterpie finally hits it and it doesn't move.
me-Caterpie leveled up to level 5!

After a moment of walking Warren spotted The Rookie dude sitting under a tree, ignoring him Warren walked right past. After another moment Warren found and entered the pokemon center. He quickly had his pokemon healed then turned to the nurse Joy asking
Can I have some food for me and my pokemon.
She nodded and handed him a plate of pizza and two bowls of pokemon food. he sat them on the ground watching Charmander and pikachu dig in then he himself began eating.

Mortecai woke up in the middle of a grassy area, surrounded by a few trees.
How did I end up in the park? Last I remember, I was in my room.
He set his hand down to get up when he felt something round, and smooth. He moved his hand to find a ball of some kind.
Wow, a limited edition nintendo pokeball. Some poor sucker must have dropped it.
He grabbed it, not knowing he just hit the button. The ball enlarged and opened, sending out a blue Houndour.
Houndour!
Mortecai was astounded.
What in the? How did, where did...what?
The Houndour stayed seated and stared at the boy. Mortecai stood up, and Houndour started to wag its stump of a tail.
That's strange. You look just like a Houndour. Which means I must be having one of my pokemon dreams. Ok, time to wake up, got work in the morning, don't want to end up in the mines again.
He closed his eyes and slapped himself hard in the face. When he opened them, the Houndour was still staring at him, though a little confused. Mortecai decided to look around. There seemed to be a town to the south, and one over the horizon in the north. The area he was standing in was grass and trees, and what looked like short ledges.
Ok, I don't remember the park ever having those.
Suddenly a loud beeping came from his pocket.
New pokemon detected! New pokemon detected!
Mortecia reached in and pulled out a strange phone like device. He opened it and it took a snapshot of Houndour, processed it then began to speak.
Houndour, the dark Pokemon.
It is smart enough to hunt in packs. It uses a variety of cries for communicating with others.

Just then, the sound of footsteps forced the two to look behind them.

Some random person ran and stopped in front of them.
Hello, I'm the Trainer Tutor. I presume you're a new trainer right?

Great, then I have a few things to teach you before you embark on an epic quest full of action, danger, friendship, and memories. I am going to teach you the fundamentals of pokeball technique.
Umm...ok?
Why so nervous, it's easy. Just follow my lead. First, I want you to return your pokemon into his ball. Just press the button to prime, then point it at him. Shout "Return" and zip, he is back in.
Mortecai primed the ball and aimed it at Houndour.
Return?
With feeling!

A red beam came out of the ball and hit Houndour, and in a flash, he was back in the ball.
Looks like we got a natural. Now, I want you to bring him back out. Throw the ball in the air and shout "Go, Houndour!" You can change it up if you like, but it's easier to say go.
Mortecai threw the ball straight up.
Let's go, Houndour!
The ball popped open and Houndour came out again in a fighting stance.
Houndour!
Wow, this is kind of exciting.
Good job kid, you already look like a pro. Now for the last lesson. Catching a pokemon.
I don't think I have any pokeballs on me.
Not to worry, I'll show you how it's done. Just do me a favor and return your Houndour. Don't want to scare any away.

Houndour was back in his ball.
Now then, what can we go for...How about that Pidgey, yeah, not too hard, but not too easy.
The man ran towards the Pidgey, and Mortecai followed suit. The man pulled out a pokeball.
Time to throw down Rattata!
He threw the ball in the air and a Rattata popped out. The pidgey got ready.
Ok Rattata, use Quick Attack!
Rattata moved fast, hitting Pidgey directly. The pidgey fell to the ground, looking tired. The man pulled out a pokeball.
Get in there. Pokeball, GO!
He threw the ball as hard as he could, hitting the Pidgey with great accuracy. The Pidgey was dragged into the ball. It shook, once, twice, three times, then clicked.
That's pretty much it. The best way to catch a pokemon is to weaken it first. Making it faint makes it even better to catch.
Hold up, making it faint makes it uncatchable, right?
Wrongo. If it faints, it can't fight the ball. Simple as that. Don't forget to press the button to prime it though, or you'll just throw a dud. Now for a gift for sharing in on my lesson.
He pulled out five pokeballs and handed them to Mortecai.

Fromout the brushes I saw the trainer tutor walking off. Then I continued walking a parallel way of the main road. My guess is that the best way to fight team rocket is becoming stronger. I should try not to stray too much from the road to avoid getting lost, but make sure I don't catch attention from trainers. If I roam around this world, I might gain more expercience and thus become stronger. That might be the best way to fight. However a few questions were still on my mind. First of all, why are we here, how did we get into this world. And when will the gorvernment find out we're here while video games were to be phobited. I was caught up in thoughts and forgot that I shouldn't walk into cities. When I realised it I was surrounded by a urban environment. I was so used to getting lost into thought that I barely noticed I just walked right into Viridian City. Before I knew it I got surrounded by people. "Hey do you think this Acanine belongs to a trainer?" "Should be, no wild Arcanine wears Goggles and a scarf..."

Mortecai reaches the start of the city, and notices a sign to his left that says, "Welcome to Pallet Town."
Well, at least I know where I am now. That was kind of anti-climatic. Nothing to do here really but talk to, wait. I'm in Pallet Town, home of Prof. Oak. Maybe talking to him will point me in the right direction, or at least help me make sense of all this.
He looked out into the town. It was a lot bigger than from the game, and had more buildings.
It could take me forever to find the lab. Maybe Houndour knows something. Let's go, Houndour!
Mortecai primed the ball and threw it in the air, allowing Houndour to pop out.
Houndour!
Houndour, do you remember being here before?
Houndour sniffed around, but recognized no scent.
Nothing? Well, it was worth a shot. How about we walk around for a bit. I think you would enjoy walking around outside.
Houndour's stumped tail began to wag in agreement, and stood beside his trainer. Mortecai walked straight down the road, looking for any sign that can lead to the lab. He wasn't ready to speak to anyone, not until he was sure of what's going on.

Warren smiled and patted his stomach as he, Charmander, and Pikachu, finished their food. Then Pikachu jumped on his shoulder, and Charmander started tugging on his pant leg pointing at the door. He chuckled and finally strolled out the door with Charmander waving his blazing tail, and strolled out the door. He looked at both his pokemon and questioned
You guys think your ready for virvidian forest?

Warren smiled as Pikachu bounced on his shoulder enthusiasticly, and Charmander saluted him from the ground. He may not originally be from this world, but he sure loved it. Warren set a brisk pace heading for Virvidian forest, and reached their quickly with Charmander following close behind and Pikachu on his shoulder. As he strolled into the forest he heard a rustling and expected it to be a pokemon but when he whirled around he was confronted by a trainer in a white shirt, blue shorts and a straw hat holding a net
I challenge you to a battle
Warren laughed a little when the boy asked him but charmander leaped in ready to battle, the boy called out a Weedle and shouted
Weedle you can do this, use poison sting!
Warren started taking the battle seriously after he saw just how fast the Weedle was. With a barrage of poison stings heading at Charmander, Warren shouted
Charmander stop that Poison sting with ember!
Charmander spit a large bout of ember in front of him, the attacks canceling each other out as a the ashes from both attacks flew away in the wind. Warren quickly assesed Charmander, seeing no damage Warren shouted
Charmander use Smoke screen!
Charmander snorted and smoke billowed out of his mouth and nose, surrounding Weedle and completely blocking his view of Charmander. Then Warren smirked, this battle was over. He quickly shouted
Charmander, use Ember!
Charmander shot a quick blast of embers, clearing the smoke and blasting into Weedls turned back. Weedle dropped to the ground finished, the weakness to fire really hit it hard. Charmander ran back to Warrens side and Warren shouted
Hey kid, you got a powerful Weedle but work on his endurance and strength, not just his speed.
The kid nodded and picked up Weedle, and ran off to town. Warren patted Charmander on the back and whispered
Your getting powerful buddy.
Then they continued onward through the forest.

In agreement....As Schrodinger looks at the map I go around to the other side to practice my counter swings a little bit to try not to show off to him just yet...
Looking every once in a while making sure he isn't looking. Out of no where a curious Ralts comes up to me asking me what I was doing. A little confused of why a wild Pokemon would just come up to me like that...Then it hit me...I almost forgot I was a Pokemon too..
Ralts: You seem to be enjoying yourself alot over here but I sense you are hiding....why?
Hearing all this in my head coming from the Ralts must be her Telepathy...
Me: "Rio Riolu Ri Ri Rio Riolu." (It's because I don't want my trainer to see I know this move yet.)
Ralts: Well that is kind of a dumb reason I sense that he is a rather happy person also....
Me: "Rio.....Ri Riolu Rio Riolu?" (Wait....How did you get to this region?)
Ralts: I was hatched here...Not really sure how I got here myself..
Me: "Rio Rio Ri Ri Riolu!" (Well it's very nice to meet such a beautiful pokemon!)
Having always loved the way the Ralts looked as a person when I played the game...and her evolutions were just majestic..I started to think....
Me: "Riolu Rio Rio Ri...Riolu RI!" (Well since you are kinda lost I guess you could say..You are welcome to join us!"
Me: "Rio Riolu Ri Riolu!" (He is a rather great person!"
Going back around to alert Schrodinger of my new friend.

After searching for what seemed like an hour, Mortecai finally came to Prof. Oak's lab. He went up to the entrance when someone stopped him randomly.
Excuse me, but I'm afraid I have to stop you right there. No one sees Oak without getting past me first.
Hey, I don't want any trouble, I'm just here to ask some questions. You see, I'm not from here and..
You're from Johto, and you're here to get a pokemon from Oak. Not a chance buddy, I'm the only one deserving to get a rare pokemon, and a pokedex, so back off!
Houndour didn't like the person's tone and stood in front of him and Mortecai.
Houn-Hondour!
Well, it looks like we're going to have a battle then aren't we. Very well.
The trainer took a step back and pulled out a pokeball. He threw it high in the air.
Manky, let's show this loser who's boss!
The Manky popped out, ready to pounce on Houndour.
Wait, I never agreed to a battle. I just want to get some answers, not a pokemon.
Liar! Now get ready, Manky, focus energy.
Manky powered up, ready to hit as hard as it could.
Now, Karate Chop!
It ran in fast. Mortecai didn't know what to do.
Uh, Houndour, watch out.
Houndour barely evaded the attack. Manky turned on it's target.
Karate chop, again!
It hit the mark, critical hit. Houndour fainted on the spot.
No, but I wasn't battling. He never even gave me a chance to attack.
Karate chop once more, send this loser a message.
Mortecai was astounded, he won, but is still attacking?!

Mortecai ran in and took the hit for Houndour. It hurt, a lot, and he was sure his leg was broken.
The battle is done. Please, just stop.
Not a chance. Keep hammering away.
Knock it off, this instant!
An older woman came out of a house.
Robert, shame on you, bullying a new trainer. What would your mother say?
You got lucky punk. Manky, Return!
He recalled his pokemon and left. Mortecai was hurt, but he turned to his Houndour.
Hey buddy, are you ok?
Houndour opened his eyes and seemed to be smiling.
Houndour. Hound.
Ok, return, get some rest.
Mortecai recalled Houndour. The old woman came out to assist him.
He sure did pull a number on you. Come inside and we'll see what the damage is.
She helped him up, and slowly, but surely, he was seated in the house. She lifted the left pant leg to see a large bruise on it.
Just a bruise, but it will hurt for a bit. Just take some rest until the pain dies down. You and your Houndour hungry?
Mortecai was too deep in thought. He heard hungry, and thought that maybe Houndour may want some food.
I'm ok, but he might. He isn't my pokemon though, I'm looking for his trainer.
Mortecai brought out Houndour, who seemed a little better. The woman went into her kitchen and started to prepare something for him.

The Ralts looking rather timid at the person standing before her not really knowing what to do...
Me: "Rio Ri Riolu Ri Ri Riolu." (Don't be afraid he is a good guy and I personally would love to have you as a friend.) ^_^

I dashed as fast as I could. This time my accessories saved me from being captured. However I should pay more attention to my surroundings and think less. 'Viridian Forest' I read on a sign. I dashed in right away. A forest would be easier to stay for now. Less attention would be drawn towards me. I ran a bit too fast and couldn't turn in time. I ran into a tree and screamed loudly in pain. Quickly I silenced myself. It wasn't the kind of idea I had in mind for keeping low profile...

The Ralts looks at the meowth and Schrodinger and freaks out a bit and uses Teleport into the tree.
Ralts: Sorry not used to people...
Me: "Rio Riolu Rio Rio Rio." (I promise he isn't a bad person.)
The Ralts slowly comes back down and greets Schrodinger and Meowth. And bows before them.
Me: "Riolu Riolu Ri Ri Ri Rio!" (Now come on it would be great to have you on our team and fun!"
Seeing an Oran berry bush in the distance I run over there and pick a few of them giving one to the Ralts.
Me: "Rio" (Here) "Riolu Rio Rio Riolu." (This is for you.)
With a big smile on my face. Being super excited from actually meeting a Ralts. Running over to Schrodinger I grab one of the empty Pokeballs...
Me: "Riolu Rio Ri Rio Riolu." (Here it's your decision if you would like us as your friends."
Setting the Pokeball down next to her she looks up at Schrodinger trying to get a read of what he is thinking on all this..

The woman brought out two bowls of food. She set one down in front of Houdnour, who began to eat, and the other in front of Mortecai.
I can tell you'll be hungry eventually, so it's there is you want it.
Hmm, oh, thank you.
Mortecai reached into his pocket to look at the pokedex, but he pulled out bits of metal and plastic.
What, when, how? I just got this today. Just my luck I guess.
Did that use to be a pokedex?
You can say that. I just don;t think I did anything that could have broke it. Unless i fell on it when that trainer attacked me. I don;t even now what I did wrong, all i wanted to do is figure out where I am, what I'm doing here, and why this Houndour's poke ball was near me. Where I come from, pokemon don't even exist, it's a video game...You probably think I'm crazy or something.
No, I think you're just in shock.

Mortecai looks at the broken pieces. What if this belonged to Houndour's trainer, and he stole it while passed out or something, and took Houndour from them? What if the trainer found him unconscious and left Houndour there, and slipped the pokedex in the pocket? Either way, he had to get this fixed and make things right.
You said you're looking for Houndour's trainer, right?
Yeah, that's why I wanted to see Oak. I thought maybe he would look up the trainer or knew someone that went through with a Houndour, and ask some other questions that are just too unbelievable.
Well, he seems attached to you. I seen the way he tried to defend you when Robert was doing one of his famous rants. Maybe you're meant to train him.
I don't even know the first thing about raising a pokemon that lives, and breathes. Someone else would be better suited than me.
We all have our doubts, the key is to look past them and see what is truly important.
Mortecai looked at Houndour, who was finishing his bowl of pokemon food. He met him today, and already, he felt as though they were connected somehow. The pokedex even said that the original trainer was unknown.
Mortecai's stomach growled a bit.
You know what, I think I will have something to eat. Thank you for the meal.

Mortecai began to eat. He felt as though it has been days since his last meal, but it could have just been all the excitement.

Right as Collette was about to leave the forest,She heard a loud cry and turned back and went towards the sound of the cry. She sent out budew.
Collette- Budew, Continuously use Growth to the maximum just in case this is a trap.
Budew did as ordered while they made thier way to the sound cautiously.

I was a bit dizzy. When I turned around I saw a budew coming out of the brushes. It was continuously growing and stopped after a while. When I looked up from the Budew I saw a trainer. That was quite obvious that this would be coming after I shouted that loud...

It's a trainer with a grass-type pokémon. That shouldn't be a big deal for me. But it does mean that I have to hurt other creatures right? But even if I do, I can't really kill them since it's a game right? I could also run away but with all the trees around it's hard to manouver my way through, my head still aches from the last crash. I stood my ground as I stared at the trainer. If she was planning to do anything I would be ready to take her on.

The pokemon was staring at Collette. Colllette was undetered and she just closed her eyes, tilted her head, and smiled. Budew was just standing there smiling and used one of its buds to wave hello.

The Budew seemed to wave friendly at me. It made me feel bad of my ideas I just had... I guess I can't do it. I backed off and nodded politely.

Collette opened her eyes and seen that the pokemon was calmed. From a quick glance she thought that the Arcanine was powerful, more powerful than budew's Extrasesory at full power. She knew that she would have to get a lot stronger to battle this one.
Collette- We may meet again, my august friend.*cursties* 'Till then.
Collette and her budew turned and walked slowly towards the direction of Pewter City.

Mortecai attempted to stand up. The bruise on his leg was throbbing a bit, but it wasn't too bad. He promptly returned Houndour and took a long stretch.

The two went outside and walked the short route to the lab, walking past the spot where Robert attacked him just a few moments ago. They reached the door.
You should have no problem from here on out. I'm sure Prof. Oak will be glad to meet someone new.

Mortecai thought about pulling out the pokedex, but instead decided to go with his crazy question.
You may not believe this, but I'm from a world where this is all a video game, and somehow I ended up here. I found this Houndour, who I'm sure has a trainer somewhere, and I want to try and find them before I try to get back to my own world.
Mortecai pulled out Houndour's ball and held it out for oak to grab.
Do you remember any trainer that had him when you handed them a pokedex?

That's the problem. I don't know how. I lost my first battle today, though I wouldn't call it that. It was more of an ambush.
Mortecai decided to bring up the pokedex, and pulled it out of his pocket.
This also broke in that. The trainer's Manky knocked me on my side, and it got crushed. I don't think I can be a proper trainer without this.
He placed Houndour's ball back on his belt.

Mortecai took the pokedex. It looked like an older model from the one he had before, but he still like it. It activated.

This whole time, he was the trainer. He was both shocked, and excited. He had his own pokemon, he was away from an oppressive government, and he got a chance to do something other than work in an office.

Mortecai left the lab and opened the map. It was a large one, showing more places than the kanto region.
Hmm, Johto. I think I'll go there. I never liked the Kanto region.
He sets out for Viridian City pokemon center, where from there, he'll head out to the Johto Region.

Looking at Schringer my ears lower down as I start being disappointed.
Me: "Riolu..." (Aw man.) "Rio Ri." (Probably not.)
Ralts: Well as far as I know about this whole Pokemon trainer thing...I didn't think it was up to me...

As he was walking on Route 1, a random rattata appeared.
Houndour needs to get to a pokemon center before I even think about battling.
Mortecai tries to run away, but he is hit by the sharp pain in his leg. The rattata leaves anyway, seeing as nothing is going to happen.
Alright, a little strange, but I'm so close.
He walks for a bit and reaches the Viridian City gate, and immediately sees the pokemon center. HE heads inside and walks up to the counter.
Hello, and welcome to our pokemon center. Would you like me to heal your pokemon?
Yes, my Houndour got caught in an unwanted battle.
He hands over the ball to the nurse.
We'll call you when your pokemon is healthy.
Mortecai nods and goes to find a seat. He pulls out his map to remind himself of his goal.

After some training both pidgey and caterpie were super tired.
me-I guess we could head back to the... pokecenter?
The pokemon nodded and I exited the grassy area, I walk out of the canopy of trees and into the town again. I headed for te building with the red roof and entered. I approached the counter and talk to the lady.
me-Umm could you-
?-Hello, would you like me to heal your pokemon.
me-I guess.
She takes my pokemon, I stand around waiting awkwardly.

As the trainer walked away, Warren pulled Charmander in front of him quickly checking for any signs of damage. He noticed a small purple scratch on Charmanders leg, Taking no notice of the scratch he began walking with Pikachu on his shoulder and Charmander walking beside his leg. After a moment Warren heard Charmander let out a shrill cry and collapse onto the ground, panicking he scooped Charmander up and began to dash across the forest. Within moments he had reached the edge of the forest, taking a second to gain a sense of direction he began running in the direction of the pokemon center. With the frantic way he was running he had reached the center in no time flat. He brushed a boy that looked very out of place out of his way, and then placed Charmander on the counter screaming

A wierd person bursts through the door and almost knocking me off my feet.
me-What nerve!
I tap my foot and wait for him to be done so I can give him a piece of my mind.

the nurse looks at Warren and takes Charmander to a room in the back then comes out and says
Leave Charmander here for a little bit, he's been poisoned but he'll be just fine. I suggest while we heal him you go to the market and by antidotes and such.
Warren sighs in relief then nods and stomps toward the door of the pokemon center....

Mortecai, your pokemon is fully healed. Please come to the counter to retrieve him.
Mortecia got up and walked over to the counter to receive his pokeball.

No thank you, I don't think I'm ready to take on any gym leaders just yet. I'm heading out to Johto.

Mortecai left the center and headed straight for the Virdian City gate leading to Johto. The checkpoint was a small building with a couple guards keeping it safe.

Mortecia didn't know if he had an ID or not. He reached into his pocket and pulled out the Pokedex, and the 5 pokeballs he received earlier.
Let me see your pokedex for a sec.
He handed the guard the dex, and he placed it into a machine of some sort.
Alright, you're confirmed. Welcome to Johto.
He got the dex back and took his first step into the Johto region. The land was vast, and seemed to be by the mountain. If it was anything like the game, he would be in for a very long road to New Bark Town.
My first steps as a trainer in the region I want. Well, time to make history, I hope.
He headed down the winding path, trying to remember the right way to the town.

me-Excuse me but who do you think you are?
I had a very angry expression.

Warren shoved the man who'd grabbed his shoulder away and growled

What was that about? The trainer just walked away... Oh well I had no time to think about that. Let see... Team rocket's first activity will be in Mt. Moon so I have to head to Pewter City first. Speaking of which... I have to find some food first. Then I realised something else. I never used items in a pokémon game except for when I were in a hard pokémon battle. I always used a pokémon center. But how am I supposed to heal myself properly? Feeding myself on berries seemed like the obvious way to heal myself. But not all useful berries grow everywhere and I don't have the equipent to keep them without rotting. I gotta find out what kind of berries I can find here. So I started exploring Viridian Forest thoroughly.

Me-You cant just come storming into a public building like that.
Nurse Joy put my pokemon on the counter. I go and collect them.
me-Well I'm going to train some more if you dont mind... Hmmph!
I stick out my tongue and walk back to the forest to train again.

Warren shakes his head and runs out the door to the market, he quickly payed for a few potions and antidotes then rushed back to the center. As he approached the counter Nurse Joy brought out Charmander and Warren picked him up thanking the nurse, then he ran to the forest. He spotted the boy from a moment ago and Warren approached asking
If your so mad why don't we battle.

Mortecai made his way down to the first bend.
Where are all the trainers that are heading to victory road? I thought I would see at least someone.
Unlike the game, there are not trainers standing still waiting for someone to enter their line of sight.
They might be walking around like me, heading to their next destination.
he decided to stop and take a rest, and brought Houndour out of the ball for some fresh air.

Pikachu leaped off Warrens shoulder ready to battle

A sticky thread is launched from caterpies mouth, in hopes of slowing the pikachu down.

Pikachu jumps and the string shot catches one of his legs,Pikachu bent trying to get the string off
Pikachu use thunder shock!
Pikachu leaps into the air sending a small blast of electricity heading towards Caterpie.

Caterpie-CATERPIE!
The electricity catchs caterpie and does damage.
me-Pull him closer with string shot then intercept with tackle!
Once again caterpie fires thread.

The string shot catches Pikachu dragging him closer, Warren had only one idea left,
Pikachu meet the tackle straight on with quick attack!
Pikachu begins rushing towards caterpie, going a little bit slower than his normal speed.

me-Dont tackle instead swing!
Caterpie swings his head nd the pikachu flies with the thread still attached, caterpie tries to slam him into a tree or something.

Pikachu use the string as a conductor, thunder shock!
Pikachu sent a shock of electric hurtling down the string towards Caterpie, then he slammed into a tree and sank to the ground struggling to get up.

it was too late caterpie was shocked but he didn't give up there he tackled.

Suddenly, a wild doduo attacked.
What, whoa!
Mortecai pulled out his pokedex to get the data.
Doduo, the twin bird pokemon.
The brains in its two heads appear to communicate emotions to each other with telepathic power.
Ok Houndour get ready. Use Howl!
Houndour let out an earie noise, making the Doduo wince for a second. Houndour's attack rose. The doduo ran in for a furry attack.
Wait for it, now, Poison Fang.
Houndour dodged the attacks and bit into the pokemon, giving it a nasty purple scar that semeed to glow a bit. The doduo started to become more sluggish from the poisoning, but used Accupressure to sharply raise its speed. It ran in again for another furry attack, but Houndour was too slow to dodge it, taking a couple hits.
Houndour, are you ok?
Houndour managed to get back up, but seemed like another hit could take it down. Mortecai noticed a branch above the doduo, which retreated by the tree.
Aim an ember at the tree branch above him.
Houndour let loose a barrage of tine flames that burned off the branch. The doduo didn't seem to notice, and the branch fell on top of it, knocking it out. Mortecai primed a ball.
Worth a shot, Pokeball, GO!
It hit the doduo, and pulled it in.
(Now to see if I caught it.)

Pikachu used the last of its energy to dodge, hopefully sending the Caterpie into tree full power. if this didnt work Pikachu was done for.

caterpie moved to the side of the tree and used the momentum to swing around with string shot aimed for the pikachu.

Looking back and forth to Schrodinger and back to the Ralts and back and forth back and forth I start getting dizzy...
Me: "Rioioio"
As I fall over from looking back and forth too much..
Noticing the Ralts giggle a little bit from my actions gets me excited again.
Schrodinger: "Do you want to come with us? if so nod, if not just walk away.."
The Ralts looks at Schrodinger and smiles and hits the white button on the Pokeball and it sucks her into it....the button turns red and starts shaking.....

pikachu sighed and resigned to his loss, the tackle hit him full on knocking him out. Warren recalled Pikachu to his Pokeball and whispered
You did great!
He looked at Charmander and nodded, charmander leaped in front of him ready to battle. Warren had a plan but it all depended on if Pikachu's static ability worked.

The ball stopped moving and made the click.

Houndour was brought back into the ball. Mortecai decided it was best to keep moving in case anything else happens.
I wonder if that healing house is anywhere nearby.
He kept moving forward, seeing what looked like a harbor, and some trainers were battling it out. He felt it best to just avoid them in case he got dragged into one. He spotted the healing house and knocked on the door.
Hello, come in. If you have any pokemon, I shall heal them in a flash.
Mortecai went in to get his pokemon healed.

?-Caterpie leveled up to level 7!
a wierd glow emitted from caterpie and before I knew it a green.... thing was infront of me. My red box beeps,
Box-Metapod the cacoon pokemon, they prepare for evolution my repeatedly shedding skin.
Little volts coursed through his body and he moved way slower than before, that pikachu must of done something.
me-Metapod use sting shot!
the pokemon shot silk. (if you train a metapod from caterpie it still knows old moves.)

Charmander shot a blast of ember straight at the string.

the string burns away, I notice a bush branch about the size of charmander.
me-Metapod use string shot again but at that branch!
Metapod pulls the branch back so much until it warns to break then he lets go and the branchs whishes through the air towards charmander. (BUSHWHACKER!)

Warren was out of ideas,
Charmander try to slow the branch down with scratch!
Charmander ready for scracth and as the branch approached he swung his arm, instead of a normal scratch his claws were glowing strangely silver and they sailed through the branch slicing it like paper.
was that metal claw?!

Not bad, not bad at all. Metapod sheds skin and the little volts were left behind and now metaopd was faster.
me-Now use tackle!
metapod launches towards charmander.

Charmander dodge and use Smoke screen!
Charmander leaped to the side narrowly avoiding Metapod, then he spit out a large smoke screen encasing Metapod in the middle.

Metapod braced himself for the next attack by making his skin hard.

Super excited I start running around Schrodinger on all fours.
Me: "Riolu Riolu Riolu Rio Rio Rio...Rio." (Welcome Welcome Welcome Yay Yay Yay....Yay.)
Noticing what I was doing a moment later.
Thinking to myself.
Me: "Man I am getting too used to being a pokemon...I wonder if that is a bad thing."
Shrugging it off for now...Looking at Schrodinger again trying to show I am ready to go where ever he plans to.

Warren smirked, then commanded
Charmander ember!
Charmander blasted an ember clearing a hole in the thick cloud of smoke and heading straight for the back of Metapod.

Metapod takes the ember and does substantial damage,
me-Time for my own smoke screen, metapod string shot into the trees!
He flies into the foliage very camoflauged

Charmander burn those tree tops to the ground!
Charmander launched a barrage of ember, it collided with the leaves on the tree tops catching them on fire.

me-Are you crazy, this is a natural habitat for bug/grass pokemon and you're burning it!
Metapod falls out of the tree fainted and seriously burned.

Quit whining, i made sure their was no pokemon in danger, well other than Metapod, but that was the point of the attack.
Charmander looked down ashamed of his actions. Warren took notice of this and said
Charmander next time I make a command your not comfortable with, just don't follow it.
Then he sees the boy he beat in the battle earlier fall out of the tree on fire
Hey, dog ears, are you out of your ever loving mind? What where you doing up their?

I return metapod and send out pidgey.
me-Pidgey use sand attack!
He throws sand at the charmander.

Charmander is hit, Warren only has one command left
Charmander Smoke screen, use the cover to clear your eyes.
Charmander shot the smoke screen blindly and began to rub his eyes.

me-No no no no, use gust then tackle.
The wind blows away the smoke and pidgey tackles.

Warren watched as Charmander was hit and went flying, he quickly called out
Charmander to your feet! Use Metal claw!
Charmanders claws lengthened and he charged and swung at Pidgey. As he did that Warren shouted
Quiet dog ears we're battling!

He takes the metal claw then sprays sand and readies a tackle.

Charmander sweats off the sand attack and Warren shouts

Charmander leaped back and prepared to counter..

Charmander takes the quick attack and collapses, Warren calls him back and thanks him. Then he turned to the man and said

Warren turned around and rushed out of the forest, he quickly saw the exit and took it, emerging in Pewter city. He quickly walked to the Pokemon center and asked nurse Joy

Metapod wakes and I let him out. He sheds his burnt skin and even his under layer is pinkish.

The nurse called for Warren and he walked up to the counter, he quickly took his poke balls and said

then he rushed out of the pokemon center, and went to the patch of grass he spotted a moment ago when he rushed out of the forest. He walked in and began searching for pokemon.

When Schrodinger caught fire and flew out of the tree. I barreled backwards on the other side of the tree

Collette- this oughta be interesting. I never played the Kanto region, but i think i'll be fine.
She walked into the PC to heal her pokemon. After a few minutes, she came back out and headed into the Pewter gym. She was encountered by four boys at once.
Boy 1-Here's how it's gonna go down.
Boy 2- If you want to face Brock...
Boy 3- You're gonna have to face two of us...
Boy 4- in two Double battles!
Collette- Luckily for me, I have only two pokemon. So let's go!
Boy 1&2- We'll go first.
Collette- Budew and Pidgey, let's go.
(so what's meh opposing pokemanz?)

Warren avoided the poison sting and called out Pikachu
Pikachu use Thunder shock!
The thunder shock hit and the Beedrill seemed angry, it quickly launched a twin needle at Pikachu. Its paralysis slowed it down and pikachu leaped out of the way.
Pikachu finish this with quick attack.
It nailed beedrill knocking him down and Warren threw a pokeball.
(I don't know if I'm allowed to say if the poke ball worked or you Meowth?)

Pikachu gets hit and becomes poisoned, Warren pulled out an antidote and healed him and then recalled him. Sending out Charmander he yelled
Use ember!
The ember hit once again taking down the Beedrill and Warren threw another pokeball.

Warren collected the ball and then called out Pikachu, he quickly healed all the damage done with a potion and then recalled both Charmander and Pikachu. He summoned out Beedrill and whipped out his poke-dex. Checking Beedrills moves he learned beedrill knew, Rage, poison sting, Twin needle, and Focus energy. Warren smiled, this pokemon was very powerful! He recalled Beedrill and set off.

After a bit, the lady finished patching up Mortecia's pokemon.
Amazing, so you're saying that you just started your journey today, have no badges, and managed to catch this Doduo.
Yeah, that's pretty much it. Thank you very much for your hospitality. Houndour, Doduo, return.
They both returned, and Mortecai shook the ladies hand.
Hang on, before you go, I have a little tip for you. Your Doduo may not show respect at first, but if you get some badges and spend time with it, it should love you in no time.

Mortecai left the house and headed to the pier. The trainers from before had finished their battle, and seemed to be healing their pokemon with some supplies.
I really need to get my hand on some potions. But how would I carry them. I barely have enough room to carry these pokeballs in my pocket. first thing I should do is find a way to get a bag. After that, battle to earn some cash.
He headed to the pier and began to cross it, The trainers looked at him, but stayed away since their pokemon were in no shape to battle.

After visiting the Pokemon center, and having his pokemon healed once again, Warren set out for the gym. He found it quickly, due to its large size, and entered. He saw a young woman battling, he leaned against the wall hidden in the shadows watching.

Waking up quite some time after falling I find myself over Schrodingers shoulder and him running quickly somewhere not quite sure what happened I can feel a bump on my head from the hit.
Me: "Ri Riolu."
Still very dizzy from it seeing Ralts and Meowth out with him I was glad they wasn't hurt. I pass back out from being so dizzy still.

Warren sighed, he was tired of waiting. He approached one of the groups of boys and said
Since i'm challenging this gym too, I'll battle one double battle and she,
He points at the young woman
can battle the other.
He then threw out Pikachu and Charmander then shouted
Lets battle!
(Your move Meowth, send out some pokemon)

Warren looked over the Geodudes, then he shouted
Charmander smoke screen! Pikachu tail whip!
Charmander shot out a blast of smoke surrounding the field and Pikachu jumped up to one of the Geodudes swinging it tail and catching him off guard.
Geodude rock throw!
One of the geodude picked up a large rock and threw it at Pikachu.
Pikachu use quick attack to dodge!
Pikachu vanished and then reappeared a foot away, the boulder smashed into the ground hitting nothing and Warren shouted
Pikachu use quick attack on one Geodude, Chrmander use Metal claw on the other!
Pikachu began charging towards one of the geodudes,
Geodude! Meet that quick attack head on with a tackle!
Pikachu and Geodude slammed into each other full speed, Pikachu went flying back and struggled to its feet while Geodude gave a cry of triumph.
Charmander changes of plans hit that Geodude that just tackled pikachu with a metal Claw!
The geodude and his trainer had no time to respond as Charmander slammed into it full power with a metal claw. It went hurtling back and flailed it arms wildly struggling to get up, after a moment it suceeded
Pikachu quick attack Charmander metal claw!
Both pokemon charged at the injured Geodude and the other trainer shouted
Geodude, use Rock throw!
Picking up a large rock it hurled it at charmanders unsuspecting side.
(I think i've fixed this)

Mortecai reached a large stretch of water.
Oh man, I can't swim. Why didn't I learn? Oh yeah, it was banned because it was distracting. How in the world will I get across.
He looked over and noticed the cliffs that he guessed blocked Mt. Silver. There seemed to be some footholds he could grab. He went over to test one out. It held pretty well. He began to climb, and slowly make his way across. E was making good progress until he bumped his bruise on a stray rock, sending a sharp pain all over, and almost letting go. He bit down hard on his tongue to ignore it, and kept climbing. He made it across to the other side and noticed a lone house.
That must be where I can get Sandstorm, but it really doesn't fit my team yet.
He walked past it, taking the shortcut down a ledge. There was no turning back now. He walked a little further and came to even more water.
Oh come on. You would think a bridge would have been built already. Hmm, there is a rock jutting out of the water. I wonder. Let's go, doduo!
Doduo came out in an excited fashion.
Mind giving me a lift across? Just to the rock and the otherside.
Doduo turned its heads away from Mortecai.
Please. If we don't get across, we'll be stuck here.
Doduo noticed where they were and figured she had no choice. It used accupressure a few times to raise its speed, attack, and defense. Mortecai hopped on. doduo ran and jumped, the increased power allowing it to land on the rock, then again to get to the other side.
Thank you. Return!
He recalled Doduo and sat down to rest a bit. The climb took a lot out of him, and he wanted to let his leg stop throbbing before he continued on his journey.

Budew was a little frightened, but it got itself together, and pidgey was just flying.
Boy 1&2-Sandstorm!
Collette- Don't think so. Pidgey, gust. Budew, Extra sensory.
With the combined moves of the two, the sandstorm that was going to enroach died out and the Sandshrews flinched.
Collette- Budew, Absorb. Pidgey, Tackle.
Pidgey headed towards the sandshrew that was going to be absorbed. It kept up the tackling while Budew kept draining health.
Boy 2- Save sandshrew with Rock Slide!
One bolder lnded right in front of Budew, cutting the line of drainage. Budew freaked out, runninning in random directions with it's eyes closed. Pidgey, unfortunately was KO'd. Collette then threw her jacket off. The sandshrew that was ganged up on was badly hurt.
Boy 1&2- Let's wrap this up with Crush Claw!
the two pokemon ran towards budew. When budew Found out they were after it, it closed its eyes, thinking it was defeated. The two boys then started to laugh.
Collette-ENOUGH!
As soon as she yelled that, leaves started to spin around Budew rapidly, then multiplied rapidly. Collette had a Dumb look on her face.
Collette- Are you serious? Is that...
Collette's answer was recieved when budew let out a cry and the leaves forcefully hurled themselves at the Sandshrews. It was Leaf Storm!

Pikachu, stop that rock!
Pikachu turned instantly, leaping over Charmander and directly into the path of the rock. It smashed into pikachu full on, sending him spiraling into a wall. pikachu struggled to get up, then collapsed, unconscious. Warren lifted Piachus' ball off his belt and recalled him whispering
You did great.
Then he lifted his head and watched as Charmanders metal claw knocked into the weakened Geodude, sending him to his trainers feet unconscious. Charmander turned to the last Geodude, and Warren said
Looks like its just you and me.
The trainer looked at his partner clearly panicked, then he shouted
Geodude, dig!
geodude burrowed under the ground and Warren shouted
Charmander be ready!
Charmander shook its head and his claws lengthened and glowed, preparing for another metal claw.

Mortecai's leg was feeling a little better. He pulled out the map he got from Oak and took a good look at it.
Ok, I'm here, and the next town is here. I need to head west. I don't really need to see Prof. Elm, he may be at the point where a pokemon was stolen, so visiting him may not be the best idea right now.
Mortecai put the map away and started to walk through New Bark Town. Again, it was a lot bigger than in the game, with more buildings and more people in it. He stuck to the main road so he wouldn't get lost.

Charmander felt the vibrations from under him, then Warren shouted
Charmander now!
Charmander swung his claws down as Geodude burst from the ground. The claws hit Geodude as he collided with Charmander, Geodude slammed into the ground as Charmander flew into the air. Geodude slammed into the ground causing a large dust cloud to cover the arena, Warren heard Charmander slam into the ground with a cry and he shouted
Charmander get up, your strong enough!
The smoke cleared with Geodude and Charmander struggling to get up. With a shrill cry, Geodue collapsed and Charmander managed to stand up. The trainer called Geodude back and shouted
You're strong, but Brock will put you in your place!
Warren laughed and recalled Charmander whispering
I owe you one.
He ran out of the pokemon gym and head to the center. He walked in and anded his pokeballs to nurse Joy
Heal them please.
She took the pokeball from him and placed them on the machine, after a mment she removed the pokeballs handing them to him and said
Have a nice day, hope to see you again.
Clipping the ball to his belt, he walked to the gym. Entering it, he strolled past the defeated trainers. Approaching Brock he grabbed Charmanders' pokeball and said
I challenge you to a battle!

I ruffled in the grass trying to find the alternative exit to the forest. Quite amazingly no pokemon had jumped out, but as I think it a wild rattata appears.
me-Sometimes I gotta stop thinking.
I let out pidgey. The wild rattata's teeth glow and it uses hyper fang.
me-Dodge it then use sand attack!
It follows my orders without hesitation and blows sand in the rattata's eyes.
me-Use quick attack!
The rattata couldn't see the attack coming and was hit. I wags its tail cutely.
me-Uhhh, no, pidgey use gust!
A force of wind knocks the rattata into a tree, it slides down the tree fainted.
me-I'm gettin pretty good at this.

When the leaves cleared, the first sandshrew fainted and the second one barely stood up. Budew then opened its eyes and seen what it had done, not knowing just exactly what it did.
Collette- Budew, wrap it up with extrasesory!
Budew let out a burst of energy, but not as strong as last time. Fortunately, the Second Sandshrew fainted.
Boy 1- You're good...
Boy 2- But not enough to beat the Boss.
Voice- Budew reached lv 10!
Budew was feeling pretty good and happy, since it learned Megadrain in place of absorb. Collette retrived her jacket and smiled at Budew, making it even more happy.
Collette- let's go back to the PC.

Charmander, let's do this. Smoke screen, then use the cover to go in for a metal claw!
Charmander bellowed out a blast of smoke surrounding the Arena, then his claws lengthened as he charged at Geodude.

Mortecai made it Route 29. It was a densely wooded area, with a few twists and turns.
Alright, just got to get past this and go through Cherrygrove. Simple enough.
He bagan to walk forward, but had a strange feeling, that he was being watched for some reason. He looked around a bit and saw nothing.

He waited for a response.

Charmander let out a cry, and as Geodude burst through the cloud of smoke he swung down prepared to hit Geodude.

Budew was bolting to the center, which it crashed head on with the door. Collette facepalmed and entered the door, encountering Joy.
Collette- Can you heal my pokemon?
Joy- Sure, give me a minute.

Charmander leaped to the side, Geodude missing by centimeters.
Charmander, use Embers!
Charmander dug his claws into the rough floor, standing his ground. Then he shout out a bout of ember straight at Geodude.

Geodude slams into Charmander, sending him back dazed and a bit dizzy. Regaining his senses Charmander glared at Geodude and Warren shouted
Charmander, metal claw!
Charmander charged and swung at Geodude, its claws lengthened and glowing silver.

Charmander leaped to his feet, narrowly avoiding a boulder. Then an idea struck Warren
Bat those boulders back at them with Metal claw!
Charmanders claws began to glow, and he swung sending severalboulders back at Onix.

Collette decided to go to the gym, but what she found was someone else battling the dude apperently named brock. To the side of her was Kitty Ears. not knowing how to pronounce his name, she just smiledat him.

I walk walking around Route 29, exploring the forest to see if I could find any pokemon to battle. I was taking my time, because honestly I dont really want the pokedex. But I still need to get it, for various reasons. Then I saw something I didn't expect, a person. He was looking at a certain direction, then I remembered something. In the games, when you lock eyes with another trainer, you have to battle. Although i wasent aware of the fact that he was from the real world like me.
Mabye I can sneak past him...
I started tip-toeing behind some bushes. Mabye if I'm lucky, he wont notice me.
(I'm like this in all the games, trying to avoid trainers unless I'm training)

Charmander was hit by both attacked and slammed into the wall, he barely managed to stumble to his feet and Warren knew Charmander only had one attack left in him. Warren lifted Charmanders ball of his belt and recalled him, he picked up one of the pokeball off his belt and threw it
Beedrill, I need your help!
Beedrill let out a cry, challenging the Onix. All Warren had to do was get the Onix poisoned, then he could use Pikachu to draw out the battle.
Beedrill, use poison sting!
Beedrill lifted his stinger and launched several poison stings straight at Onix.

He eagerly waited for a reply. So this is what it's like to feel like a trainer, well, beside that awesome feeling from catching your first pokemon.

Pikachu vanished and appeared a few feet away, Warren paused then shouted
Pikachu pikachu, use quick attack to get near Onix. And when your close enough, jump on his head and use your tail as a spring!
Pikachu charged, he kept vanishing and reappearing , then when he was close to Onix he leaped, tail ready to bounce.

Warren put the badge in a strange container Prof. Oak had given him earlier, then he recalled Pikachu whispering

AS he clipped the ball to his belt, He turned and saw several people waiting to battle. He walked out of the gym saying,

Then he strolled out of the gym, he queitly walked to the pokemon center, upon entering, he handed his pokeballs to nurse Joy saying
Heal them.
She took his pokeballs, placed them on the machine, and after a moment handed them back

He clipped them to his belt and then set out of the pokemon center.

When walking on land, it covers its body with a poisonous film that keeps its skin from dehydrating.

Houndoom let loose a barrage of tiny flames at Wooper.

Houndoom fired some embers at Wooper and he endured the hit, taking little damage.

Wooper inhaled deeply then fired a stream of water at Houndour.

Houndour was feeling weak, and slowly ran with it's fangs glowing in a shade of purple.

Houndour was getting weak, this battle was in the bag. But I didn't want to really hurt it, so the next attack would just be enough to make him faint.

Houndour slowly ran twards Wooper with purple glowing fangs, and bites Wooper. Wooper flinched a little. (2 heads, 1 tail) he was poisoned.
Crud, uh- Wooper use water gun!
Wooper inhaled and fired a stream of water at houndour.

Houndour was too close to dodge, and took a direct hit. He fainted.
Return!
He was recalled back into the ball. Mortecai grabbed Doduo's now.
Alright Doduo, we're almost there!
doduo cam out in an excited fashion. She took one look at Mortecai and seemed to glare at him.
Come on, I know we can do it. Just trust in me like I will trust in you.
Again, the doduo was convinced of his kindness. Both heads raised their beaks in the air.
Do-Doduo!
Alright, use accupressure!
Doduo pecked itself in the legs, increasing its evasiveness sharply.

Warren paused outside the door of the Poke' center, he walked back inside and looked at the map they had posted on the wall. From what he gathered their was a path a little ways to the right of the pokemon center, if he too the path it would eventually lead him to the entrance of Mt. Moon. He walked out of the pokemon center and bolted towards the path, he had reached it within a moments and he had his hand on his belt, looking for any signs of trouble as he walked.
Hey you, if you want to reach Mt. Moon,
Warren spun around at the sound of the voice, he realized he had reached the end of the path, and guarding the exit were two young boys that looked like twins. The one that had spoken reached for a pokeball and threw it, bringing out a Butterfree, the other boy reached for a pokeball and threw out a Beedrill, then shouted
You'll have to defeat us in a double battle!
Warren sighed, this was to troublesome, regardless he reached for his belt and threw out Pikachu and Charmander. The twins laughed and shouted simultaneously
Beedrill, rage!
Butterfree, confusion!
Pikachu was slammed with rage and went flying back into Charmander, then both were hit with confusion knocking them even farther away. They unsteadily got to their feet and Warren shouted
Charmander smoke screen, Pikachu use your tail as a spring to bounce of Charmander!
Charmander encased everyone in smoke, and Pikachu leaped off Charmanders head, bursting through the top of the soke cloud and high into the air.
Pikachu, thunder shock!
Pikachu cast a looming shadow as his small body blocked out the sun, and even as small as he was, he looked almost god like with the sun high-lighting his back as a large amount of electricity slammed into both Beedrill and Butterfree.
Pikachu!
Beedrill gave a strange 'buzz' collapsed but Butterfree shakily floated. Pikachu landed gracefully on the ground with a 'thud' and Warren shouted
Charmander, finish this with ember!
Charmander let out a small cry of
Char!
Then shot out a weak blast of flames, the trainer of Butterfree stared wide eyed as his Butterfree was hit and fell to the ground. Warren recalled both his pokemon, then began to walk past the trainer, he paused and whispered into the owner of Butterfrees ear
Try to stay calm, your Butterfree was taken down because you choked under pressure.
Then Warren walked away, leaving the trainers behind him.

I reached the other exit of the forest, as I walked out a boy rustled in the bushes. He ran over to me.
Boy-Battle!
Surprised by his demand I send out metapod.
Boy-Go nidoran!
A purple mini dinosaur comes out.
Boy-Nidoran use poison sting!
It's little horn glowed and it jumped towards metapod.
Me-Harden then string shot!
His skin hardens then he shoots thread that slows it down, metapod is hit but barely.
Boy-Use tackle!
He charges.
Me-Dodge with string shot then tackle!
He dodges then smashes into the nidoran.

The houndour fainted, and Mortecai returned him. Wooper flinched in pain, the poison probably caused some damage after the last attack.
Alright Doduo, we're almost there!
He sent out a Doduo, and a strong looking one at that. The Doduo glared at him, but after being re-assured, Doduo was ready for battle.
Do-Doduo!
Alright, use accupressure!
Doduo pecked itself in the legs, raising it's evassiveness.
Alright Wooper, use watergun again!
Wooper nodded and fired a stream of water at Doduo, but then flinched in pain from the poison. He was looking a bit weak now...

Warren paused, reaching for his belt he grabbed his pokeballs and threw all there of them into the air. As his pokemon came out, they each looked ready to battle, and confusion dawned on them as they saw no one to battle. Warren studied them for a moment, Pikachu and Charmander seemed to radiate happiness, but something was off with Beedrill. Warren approached and placed a palm on Beedrills forehead,
Your not happy, are you?
Beedrill emitted a strange buzzing sound, and shook his head,
Beedrill, why don't you go back to the wild? You're free to go.
Beedrill stared at Warren, as if puzzled. Then he slowly but surely flew away into a patch of grass vanishing from view. Warren turned to Pikachu and Charmander, he leaned down onto his knees and whispered
Looks like it's just us guys.
Then he recalled them both, clipping their pokeballs to his belt. He set off at a slow pace, lost in his own thoughts.

Doduo dodge the attack, the evasion boost allowing it to side step with great ease.
Now, hone in and use Pursuit!
Doduo charged in fast, the beak glowing white. If this poke planned on escaping, it had no chance. Mortecai could almost taste victory.

I cant sent Wooper back, because then the attack would probably hurt Wooper alot more, and if I dont he'll faint anyway. What do i do- crap, crap, crap, crap, cra-
Then the attack hit Wooper and he fainted.

I take out his pokeball and point it at him.

Yeah, my first loss too... then again you learn from experience I guess. I'm heading to NewBark Town to get a pokedex. From what I remember the pokedex is pretty important, so I have to go get it before I can enter the pokemon league.

Schrodinger: "Your up, do it riolu! use quick attack to circle him to confuse him!"
I jump out onto the field to signal I am ready! Nodding at the command I get on all fours and perform a quick attack circling the geodude.
Sensing such a small trick won't work on a gym leader....About that time the geodude not falling for the trick gets into the way of my quick attack knowing it won't do much to him..
Smashing into the Geodude at high speed...It just sits there and scratches his front side not really hurting at all as I step back waiting on what happens next.
Me: "Riolu!" (C'mon!)

Smiling as the Geodude rolls at me for an attack. I sit there and brace for the impact...
As he slams into me it throws me back a bit as the Geodude tries to follow through with the attack....
Planting my feet down I quickly use counter back at the Geodude swinging my fist as hard as I can back at him..

Warren released a breath of air, his head tilted back, with his eyes focused on the bliding sun. With his head tilted up, he didn't see the tree in front of him, and he slammed into it, shaking the structure. There was a loud rustling, and a owl looking pokemon burst from the trees, staring angrily at Warren. Digging in his pocket for his poke-dex he pulled it out and read the information,
Hoothoot huh, say here your nocturnal, I must have woken you up. While since you look pretty mad I assume you want to battle.
Warren reached onto his belt, picking up a pokeball and clicking a button, turning it full size. Then he tossed it and said
Pikachu, fry this Hoothoot, thunder wave.
A wave of electricity shot from Pikachu, Hoothoot flew up dodging the attack, and his eyes glowed a brilliant purple for a second, and a smll purple barrier surrounded Hoothoot, then dissapeared. Warren looked at his poke-dex and mumbled
Reflect, huh?
Hoothoot swooped down beak extended and ready to peck Pikachu. Warren waited for a moment, then right before Hoothoot hit, he shouted
Pikachu jump onto Its' back!
Pikachu bunched its leg muscles and leaped with out hesitation landing on Hoothoots back. Hoothoot flew high into the sky, and both pokemon were lost from view, regardless Warren shouted
Pikachu, put everything you've got into a thundershock!
Warren heard a loud zap, and a shrill 'hoot', then saw them both hurtling towards the ground. Pikachu leaped and gracefully landed on his feet, but Hoothoot slammed into the ground and didn't move. Warren grabbed Beedrills' old poke-ball from his belt and threw it saying
it's now or never.
The ball bounced off Hoohoot, then emotted a red beam, sucking him in. It began to shake, and pikachu bunched his muscles, ready to fight.
(Okay, Meowth decide if I caught it.)

Mortecai began to walk away, and turned to wave goodbye. He walked through twists and turns until he reached Cherrygrove City.
Finally, now to find the pokemon center.
He pulled out the map. It was not that useful, as it only showed the location of the towns. He looked around for a sign, but the one he found only said welcome.
Of course, looks like I'll need to roam around.

This is the pokemon center. You can heal up your pokemon for free, or use the PC for their services. Every good trainer knows to go find this place first.
Strange, usually the pokemon center is right by the entrance. But there are more buildings than the game. Maybe this world is just like ours, not the game version I expect it to be.

They walked a little further to a street corner. There were people walking around, talking, shopping, or whatever. The reached a building with a blue roof, and clear glass windows. Mortecai could see people shopping inside.
This is the pokemart. You can get all the things you need on your journey from here, even camping equipment, pokemon food, potions, and pokeballs.
The continued on until the reached the town exit to route 30.
Out that way is route 30. Beginning trainers can find someone to battle there, and Mr. Pokemon lives out that way as well. He likes to collect rare things.
They walked even further until they reached a shoreline. There were people sunbathing, and some people fishing.
This is the sea. Some pokemon can only be found in water. Fisherman love this spot, it's ncie and quiet.
They walked a little more until they reached a small house.

Mortecai went over to a chair and had a seat. He was exhausted. At least he could rest before heading out to route 30, and he felt like visiting Mr. Pokemon to see what he may have.

He yawned a little, and stretched out his body before getting up. He went over to the counter and retrieved his pokemon, thanked the nurse, then left the pokemon center. He walked over to the town exit by Route 30.
Well, this is it, once I start walking, my journey will begin. Should I follow the path of the game and take on the gyms, or should I focus on breeding. I don't see why I have to take on the league.
He took some thought about it, hen came to a conclusion.
I got it. I shall be an adventurer. solving mysteries wherever I go, fighting powerful trainers and pokemon, and helping people along the way. The league is overrated.
He took his firs step towards his new path, but he needs on vital tool. A notebook to write down his progress.
Actually first task, earn some money to by the book, some supplies, and maybe some camping gear.

Warren smiled and raised Pikachus' poke-ball, calling him back. Then he approached and picked up Hoothoots' ball and picked it up, he clicked the button and a red beam flew, materializing into Hoothoot. He pulled out his poke-dex and analyzed the stats,
So you know, Hypnosis, Reflect, Peck. If I remember the game correctly, your pretty close to evolving.
Hoothoot tilted his head when Warrren said 'game' and he remembered that no one else knew that he wasn't from here. Hoothoot flew onto his shoulder and began rocking back and forth and cooing slowly, after a moment all that could be heard was Hoothoots soft breathing as he slept.Warren smiled softly, and began treading carefully, as not to wake hoothoot up. After a moment a large cave came into sight, and Warren knew it was Mt. Moon, he cautiously walked up, and entered. He looked around and was having trouble seeing, so he called out Charmander, letting his tail light the way. They continued on like that for several minutes, until Warren heard the distinct sound of battling, he carefully creeped around a corner, and saw a man dressed in black with a large red R on his shirt, defeating a boy obviously years younger than him. As the man Raticate, finished off the boys pidgey, Warren expected the battle to be over, but instead the Raticate charged the Pidgey that was lying on the ground, his fangs extended and he wentt to bite down.
Charmander, stop him with ember!
Charmander shot a small bout of flames, slamming into Raticates side, and stopping the attack. The rocket turned and then growled when he spottd Warren

Warren glared right back, then shook Hoothoot awake, saying
Hoothoot, I need your help.
Hoothoot awoke, and blinked his large eyes twice, then he flew off Warren shoulder and hovered right bove Raticate. The rocket smiled then pulled a poke-ball off his belt, he threw it and an Ekans came out,
Ekans, eat that hatchling!
Ekans lunged and Hoothoot had no time to react as it hurtled right towards him mouth extended.

After a while of walking through route 29, I was finaly at Newbark town. It looked alot different, but Prof. Elms lab stood out like a sore thumb.
Come to think of it, how exactly DOES a sore thumb stand out?... oh well.
I knocked on the lab door, and an assistant opens it.
Yes?
Hey, uh, I'm a new trainer and I kinda need a pokedex.
Hmmm... wait here and I'll go get him.
He closed the door and I started waiting.

Mortecai was walking for a bit, keeping an eye out for any trainers. He noticed a couple battling, just like on that pier, and one standing by watching the event.
I guess I can wait for a bit.
He walked away from the trainers to seek out Mr. Pokemon's house, until a wild caterpie attacked him.
Seriously. Let's do this Houndour1
Houndour came out of his ball, ready for battle.
Fire off an Ember.
Houndour's ember landed a direct hit. The caterpie fainted instantly.
Huh, guess it was a low level. Now where was I.
He continued onward, letting Houndour stay out of the ball as a prize for winning.

Waiting for Kitty Ears to finish the battle, Collette decided to go to the route to mt. moon and catch a pokemon.

Ekans' fangs sunk deep into Hoothoots' feathers and skin right above his talon, injecting painful and Paralyzing venom. He let out a shriek, falling to the ground, his wings flapping and his body writhing in pain. Ekans reared back for another blow, their was a soft click, and as Ekans lunged a yellow blur knocked into him, sending them both tumbling.
Nice Pikachu, now get Hoothoot onto your back and to a pokemon center, Charmander and I wil deal with this.
Pikapi! (Okay, I'll get back as fast as I can!)
Then he carefully scooted Hoothoot onto his back, Pikachu struggled to balance him, and finally Hoothoot softly and with the last of his power dug his talon into Pikachus' back, holding himself on. Pikachu struggled under the added weight, but bolted for the exit of the cave, hurtling for the pokemon center. Warren then turned back to the rocket, and Charmander bunched his muscles ready to strike on command.
Oh no you don't, Raticate stop that Pikachu!
Raticate leaped and began chasing Pikachu, but Charmander leaped in his path.
Raticate, use quick attack to get past him and continue chasing that Pikachu!
Warren calmy put his hands into his coat pockets, then said
Charmander, block his path with smoke screen.
Warren caught a glimpse of the rocket reaching for the last poke-ball on his belt, then smoke filled the cave around them. Their was a pop of a Poke-ball opening and then their was a shrill shriek.
Zubat, find your way to that Charmander and drain his health with leech life!
Warren tensed, what to do now? He thought things over for a moment, but was interrupted when a shrill cry of pain echoed through the cave.
Charmander, shake him off and use Metal claw!
The smoke cleared and Warren saw Zubat leeched onto Charmander back, sucking away his health. When Charmanders claws began to glow, Ekans and Raticate tensed
Raticate, Hyper fang, Ekans, Wrap!
They leaped and Ekans wrapped aroundCharmander, pinning his arm to his side. Raticate bit into his leg and Charmander struggled to stay up. After a moment, Charmander couldn't take anymore, he collapsed with an apologetic look at Warren. Warren reached for his poke-ball, yet none of the pokemon released Charmander. With horror he realized what was going on, if this kept up Charmander would die! Warren charged up to Charmander, and grabbed Zubat by one of his wings. HE ripped him off and hurled him back at the rocket, then he grabbed Raticate it took him a moment but he pried him off and threww him back at the Rocket. He knew he wouldn't be able to move Ekans, so he whispered
Charmander, if you have any strength left, just give me one small ember.
Charmander couhged weakly and a puff of smoke came up, this happened several more times, before he managed a wisp of flames. The small flames burned Ekans who released Charmander. The minute he was on the ground he slithered back to the rocket, Warren went onto his knees' and leaned over cradling Charmander to his chest.
Raticate, bite, Zubat, leech life, Ekans, poison sting, hit the boy if he won't move!
Warren tensed, then gave a growl of pain as smalll fangs dug into his back and began stealing his energy. He felt another pair of fangs dig into his legs, ripping through his pants cuff, and drawing blood. THen he felt the sharp sting of poison sting after poison sting landing against his leather jacket and creating welps on his back. He began repeating a line he had heard before in his head because he thought this situation fit it perfectly "I will not die, I'll wait here for you' over and over again. God he hoped Pikachu got back soon!

The grunt returned his pokes and ran off. Blue went to check on the trainer.

Mortecai was busy battling another Caterpie. This one seemed a little stronger than the previous one. It launched a string shot at Houndour.
Burn it up, Ember!
Houndour use ember, hitting the attack and Caterpie. It fainted.
Nice job Houndour. We're getting better at this.

Warren felt the pressure leave his back, he carefully stood up, struggling with the blood running down his leg. He looked at the man and managed to grunt through the pain
I'll be fine after I bandage these wounds up, I'm more worried about Charmander.
Pikapi! (Warren!)
Warren turned around and saw Pikachu and a healed Hoothoot heading towards him, Pikachu leaped in front of Warren and growled at the man, unaware the man was friendly. Warren opened his mouth to tell Pikachu to calm down, but found he couldn't move! One of the poison stings must have gotten through his leather jacket, well he would worry about his Jacket later. He collapsed onto one knee, the leg that had been bitten losing blood fast, not to mention Zubat had drained his energy. The shock of the pain jolted hm out of paralysis and he grunted too the man
Don't suppose you have something to tie up my leg with? And Pikachu calm down, the man helped me.
Pikzachu quit growling and began nuzzling against Warrens cheek and Hoothoot landed on his shoulder, he winced but didn't tell him to move, then he layed Charmander carefully on the ground.

Alakazam, teleport him and his pokemon to the nearest pokemon center. Look kid, I'm sorry for what happened, but I need to go find out where that grunt went. Smell ya later.
With a flash of light, the trainer and his pokemon were sent back to the pewter city pokemon center. The nurses there quickly tended to them.

Warren waved the nurses away from him,
Tend to Charmander, I'll be fine.]
The nurse looked at him incredulously,
Look sir, respectfully, you're in three times worse condition then you Charmander. You've been poisoned, your bleeding, and you've been drained of energy, you need serious medical attention, you shouldn't even be conscious with the amount of abuse you've taken!
Warren glared, and slammed his fist down on the counter, making the nurse jump
I said heal Charmander!
The nurses took Charmander into a room then one returned with a needle, thread, a sterilized cloth, and a pain reliever.
Sir please sit down, will have you better in no time!
Warren set and the nurse began to work, pulling up his jeans sleeve, she wiped it off with the cloth then she handed him the pain reliver, which he swallowed. She waited a moment, until the medicine took effect, then raised the needle and thread and said
This is going to hurt.
Warren grunted and the nurse set to work, she raised then needle with the thread strung though it and placed it through his skin. He grabbed the chair and squeezing, causing his knuckles to turn white, but stayed silent. She looped it back several times, then carefully rolled his pants leg back down,
Be careful on that leg, now where is the other injury?
Warren stood up and removed his jacket and white T-shirt, turning around he showed the nurse, the wound. It was dripping blood, and was a sickly purplish-yellow. The nurse winced and said
Okay, that is defintely infected.
Warren winced as she pressed the coth to his back, and then she said
We're going to have to cut the wound open more, to drain the infection and poison.
She walked away and then returned with something that resembled a knife and a cutip smeared with a yellow goop,
This yellow liquid will numb your wound.
She carefully applied it to his back and it went all tingly, then he felt a strange pressure on his back, and heard something dripping into a bowl. Even with his back numb, it hurt when she applied alchohol. once she finsished she stitched the wound up and WWarren pulled on his t-shirt and leather jacket. Tucking his necklace under the t-shirt so no one could see it, he looked at the nurse

The nurse smiled
Your very welcome, but be careful, those stitches could come out.
He nodded, then he returned both Pikachu and Hoothoot to their poke-balls. Another nurse came out with Charmander walking beside her
Your Charmander should be just fine.
Warrren nodded, Charmander hung his head when he saw Warren, Warren walked up to hi and kneeled
Charmander, I'm fine, now are you ready to set out?
Charmander nodded furiously, and when Warren raised his poke-ball Charmander dodged the beam and tugged on Warren pants
Char Char Charmander (I want to stay out in case you need help, I'll protect you.)
Warren smiled and clipped the poke-ball back to his belt, and they both walked out of the pokemon center, Warren slightly limping.

Ralts being concerned with the battle never seeing a Gym battle before. Snapping out of the trance noticing Schrodinger talking to her.
Ralts: "I...I think so..."
About that time Geodude crashes into me with his tackle....
Ralts freaks out when the Geodude hits and ends up covering her eyes.

As I use Counter again on the Geodude.

Mortecai finally reached Mr. Pokemon's house. Houndour seemed exhausted from all the walking, and the two random battles, and was returned to his ball. Mortecai knocked on the door.

He heard what sounded like something being put away. The door opened and an old man came out.
Yes, may I help you?
Are you Mr. Pokemon?
Why, yes I am. I am the collector of rare and strange things.
Awesome. I just wanted to come and visit. I heard so much about you.

Mortecai came in and looked around. There were so many things in the house, all which looked interesting. He was even more interested in a rock containing a strange brown gem.
I see you're looking at a fragment from a pokemon fossil. I have been researching this for some time, and believe it to be a fossilized piece of Regirock. A finding like that is pretty rare.
It's amazing. What's that over there?
He noticed a strange tablet.
That is a stone tablet from the Ruins of Alph. I found it when I was exploring it one day. The markings on it are in a strange language that no one can really figure out.
Mortecai took a closer look. He thought he would be able to read the Unown writing and amaze Mr. Pokemon, but all of it seemed like jibberish. Nothing made an actual word for all he knew.

You seem really fascinated in all this. Why did you really come here?
Well, it was really by circumstance, but not too long ago, I made the decision to become an adventurer. I'm not interested in taking on the league. I want to find out everything I can about this region, and maybe find treasures like you.

He writes something down and hands it to Mortecai.
Now then, go out and find something for me to display. I suggest going to the Ruins of Alph. There are still mysteries there that need to be solved.

Warren winced,buut kept on walking, with Charmander right beside him. He limped into the pewter city gym and slumped against a wall. He looked around and saw dog ears still battling Brock,
Hey Dog ears, hurry up, people are waiting.
Warren then turned towards the door and just stared.
(Okay, I have an idea in mind, but I need someone other than Colette, to walk through the gym door.)

Metapod slams into the nidoran once more and the nidoran faints.

He puts the money in my hand and I leave. I go to the pokecenter to get my pokemon healed, I walk to the counter and place my pokeballs on it.
me-Please heal them.
Nurse joy takes them and a few minutes later she hands them back. I exit the pokecenter and walk towards the gym. My spirits are high and I'm phsyched. I notice a building with a yellow roof. I walk inside.

On route three, Collette was able to find a herd of Nidorans. They noticed her, and all used poison Sting. To Defend herself, She threw her jacket in front of her. She then sent out Budew.
Collette- Extrasensory!
As the burst of energy blew away most of the herd, there were only two Nidoran remaining.

Mortecai decided to walk to the tree that he figured would block the path to Violet. He got pretty far until he noticed a cave.
Wait, where is the tree?
Again, it was another thing unlike the games. No trees blocking paths, which means dark cave should be fine to walk in. He decided to step inside it, but was only greeted by darkness.
Well, that makes sense. Probably why it's called dark cave.
He turned around to the light and went outside, only to meet a trainer.
I saw you go into the cave. Thought you were pretty brave. Seeing you come out as fast as you did probably means you're a weakling. So, how about a battle? I want to see how weak you are?
Well, you're pretty confident, so why not. Let's do this.
The boy took a few steps back and tossed out a pokeball.
Go, Metapod!
The metapod popped out in silence.

Of course it is, the first pokemon I ever caught, and the strongest metapod there is.
Let's do this Houndour!
Houndour came out in a blaze of confidence.
Metapod, use Harden!
The metapod glowed bright.
Houndour, burn it up with Ember!
Houndour launched a flurry of embers.
Good luck, Metapod can't get hurt in his hardened state.
The embers hit, causing serious damage.
Wait, what?!
Harden only boosts a pokemon's defense, not their special defense. Ember is a special move. Everyone knows that.
Special or not, I can still win!
A freshly caught metapod can only use Harden, a non attacking move. I think this is game.
Suddenly the Metapod started to glow, and evolved into a Butterfree.
Aw, sweet, now I can use a new move. butterfree, use Confusion!
The move was ineffective.
Dark types are immune to Psychic type attacks.
That's cheating. You're a cheat.
I didn't cheat. Look, let's call it a draw then, there really isn't a point continuing something that will just make you mad.
NO! Butterfree, use Harden, then try to ram into Houndour!
Houndour, ember!
As the Butterfree was using it's move, Houndour launched a barrage of flames at it, causing a critical hit. The Butterfree fainted.
Are you going to be ok?
The boy handed over some cash.
Just get out of my sight. I'm really mad right now.
Hey, don't feel so bad. That looks like a strong Butterfree. If I had a pokemon that wasn't a dark type, it might have creamed me. Just keep going, and you two will make an excellent team
The boy smiled a bit, returned his butterfree, and walked off. Mortecai returned Houndour, and started back towards Violet.
Thirty dollars. Why do I feel like that means nothing?

Warren sees the kid from earlier walk inside, stepping in front of him with Charmander by his side, Warren said

He pointed at the two boys,
So it only makes sense you battle me, to battle him besides I need a rematch, so are you ready?
Charmander walked in front of Warren ready to battle.

Collette decidet to go ahead and send out Pidgey, giving the Nidorans time to escape. She gave them chase, but lost them. In their place, a Pichu and Togepi walked by them. Pichu looked like it was holding an yellow orb and Togepi was holding a Stone with a yellow sun in it. Collette decided to greet them in a friendly tone.
Collette- Hello, you two.
Letting off a Smile, she was able to catch their attention.

Charmander approached Warren and Warren whispered in his ear

Then he reached for Hoothoots pokeball
Hoothoot, I need your assisstance.
Hoothoot gave a shrill 'Hoot' Then flew into the sky, staring the pidgey down. Warrren watched for a moment then commanded
Hoothoot Reflect, then follow up with a Hypnosis.
A strange pink light encircled Hoothoot, then faded away. Hoothoot then began putting off strange beams of purple straight at Pidgey, attempting to put him to sleep.
(Bird vs Bird, this should be fun.)

Wow, amazing. It's even better than I expected.
He was in awe at the rustic buildings that seemed untouched by time. He walked around a bit, taking in the surroundings.
I think I'll be staying here a while since I'll be exploring the ruins of Alph. I wonder if the poke center will let me sleep there for a shot time.
