PLOT:
Several years into the future, Earth is enjoying a time of peace. Many countries are living together in harmony, and there is little conflict, something thought to be almost unimaginable. It does not last long though, for when creatures made of darkness invade the Earth, tensions rise around the planet. Matters aren’t improved by the sudden ability of a select few people to be able to wield giant key-like objects and use what appears to be magic.
When these people go to sleep, their mind is transported to another universe, one with many worlds that seemed to be based off of Disney movies, of all things. These people, also in a period of peace, speak of a time when the beings of darkness, known as the Heartless, warred with them, and that the key to stopping the invasion on Earth lies in something mysterious known as Kingdom Hearts.
You must travel back and forth between universes in an attempt to uncover the secret behind the heartless. It will be up to you to use your new abilities to either save, destroy, or rule planet Earth.
*This is not connected to any previous Kingdom Hearts RP
*While the Walt Disney Company exists on this Earth, the Kingdom Hearts video games do not
*At the start of the RP, the heartless have not yet invaded Earth, and so you do not travel to any other worlds when sleeping, and you have not yet discovered your ability to use magic or wield a keyblade. Earth is still rather normal.

Flaming cannot be discriminatory towards any real-world race, religion, philosophy, gender, or sexual preference, and that they are characters attacking each other, not members insulting other members. Put another way: all flaming must be done in character
6. Profanity is allowed, although PU does have profanity filters. For the purposes of the RP, feel free to work around them, but do not use profane language in unnecessary excess.

GM POST
As each RPer's characters fall asleep, they wake up in a mysterious place known as the Station of Awakening.
Aiden, Kayla, and Zoe
Aiden was lying sprawled out on the brand new couch in the living room of his apartment, which he and his best friends had just moved into earlier that week. His eyes were fixed on the television, and he hadn't even noticed when the twins stood up.
We're both going to bed. Don't stay up too late, you have that big job interview tomorrow morning.
It was Kayla. She looked fairly tall as she stood over Aiden, but in actuality she was several inches shorter than he was.
Alright, I won't. Thanks Mom.
Kayla glared at Aiden, and he couldn't help but give a slight grin. The freedom from being under the control of parents was one of the multiple reasons why they had decided to move across the city.
When Kayla responded, her voice was riddled with sarcasm. Ha ha, very funny. Goodnight, punk.
Goodnight.
Kayla brushed her gorgeous blond hair to the side as she walked out of the room.
See you in the morning, Aiden.
Zoe was so soft-spoken that Aiden could hear her just well enough to know what she was saying.
Night, Zoe.
Zoe left the room even more quietly than the words that had left her mouth. Deciding to take Kayla's advice, he decided to go to bed after only a short while. He got up off the sofa and headed over to his room, which was directly across the hall from the one that the girls shared. After closing his door, he climbed into his bed and drifted off to sleep.
Aiden's eye's slowly drifted open. Everything around him was black, save for a faint, illuminating light above. It was enough for him to see, though. He felt weightless, in fact, he was weightless. Much to his confusion, Aiden was floating. Upon turning his head, his eyes connected with that of Zoe. They were filled with worry, and he wanted to tell her that she shouldn't be afraid, that they were okay, but he couldn't do that. He tell her that when he wasn't sure what was going on himself. He then looked over to his right. There, also floating in the air, was Kayla. She looked at him, but didn't speak. He tried to turn over, to see what was beneath him, but it seemed as if he didn't have full control his body, as he couldn't turn it over. It was apparent, though, that the three of them were slowly descending.

Daylin
Daylin groaned as he entered his apartment, stripping his jacket and throwing it onto the couch. "I'm really not getting paid enough for this shiit." The transmission had gone out on one of the trucks he had worked on, and the owner had brought it back demanding a refund. His boss had jumped his ass over it, even though he was sure the transmission had been working fine before the customer left. He needed a vacation.
He walked over to the sink and turned the faucet on. The water came out in jerky bursts and was tinted red. He swore loudly, then kicked the counter. "I told them the god damn pipes were rusted. Can't believe I pay four hundred a month for this hellhole." He scrubbed the grease off his hands the best he could, wiped them on his shirt, and made himself a ham sandwich.
Sandwich in hand he returned to the front room, flopping down on he couch and finishing the sandwich in two bites. He dozed off soon after, the days events taking their toll on him.
The mechanic eyes opened on their own, and he blinked a few times to to rub the sleep away. The room around him was black as night, a single light above him giving him some vision. He noticed three other people, one guy and two chicks. They all looked a bit like prats to him. "I knew I shouldn't have eaten that old ham. Shiit gives me weird dreams."

John Anderson
Out on the balcony of his hotel room John was silently watching the coastline while enjoying a smoke. His usual smiling face was replaced with a father expressionless one as he looked out at the sea. "I've been here a few weeks now maybe it’s time I head back. Back home, where everything’s going to change, no more goofin off life’s gonna get alot more serious when I get back. And soon enough I’ll have to look after the entire business. Ah, dam it!"
John banged his hands against the railing letting the smoke in his lungs pour out with his shout. A sullen expression grew on his face as he thought about his future. John took another puff from his cigarette before letting out a tired yawn. "Well no point in stressing over it this late at night. I'm sure I’ll be able to kick it back here for a few more days before I head back." Saying that he headed into his room shutting the door to the balcony behind him and stepped into to his bed.
When John opened his eyes again he was surrounded by darkness and overtaken by a frigid chill. The only thing he could see is the frosted breath infront of his face." Wha- What the hell is this. Why is it so freakin' cold in here I coulda sworn I closed the door."

Enerxia
Enerxia yawned a bit, staring at the clock. She was sitting in a swivel chair in her room, watching as seconds, and minutes ticked by. It was an average day. She hadn't really done anything important that day, and it was nearing time for her to go to bed. She had already changed into her sleep-ware, being just some gray pajama's. She slowly got up, slowly making her way to her bed, and falling over in it. She seemed to doze off.
As she opened her eye's, she was in what seemed like total darkness. She attempted to look down, but couldn't move. She seemed to be in an upright position, almost as if she had been sitting on something. It was the last position she had been in before having instantly gone to sleep...Sitting in her chair. She saw four others, all of which struck her as odd. She felt like she was moving, downward, but couldn't tell. There was no air rushing as if she was falling. Gravity didn't feel as if it was pressing down on her. Yet, she was moving towards a ground...Somewhere.
Jade
Jade was sitting in an office chair in her room, typing away at some things on her computer. She slowly pushed away from her desk, and slowly leaned the seat on the chair back. Before long, she had leaned the chair back far enough, and placed her feet on her desk, resting for a bit. She had been writing a few chapters for a writing project she had with a few people, and so far it had been going well. She almost dozed off just sitting there, before going back to the computer. She had typed about four more words, before everything went black. She had seemed to fall asleep with her head on the keyboard.
Jade slowly opened her eye's. She was staring at what she presumed was the sky, as it was pitch black. She seemed to be laying on her back, with her feet as if they were propped up on something, and her hands behind her head...It was the last position she had held for a long sum of time, before falling asleep at her computer. She couldn't see anyone, but she could hear four...No, five people, at least, she thought there were five. She Began to think to herself, as she started to notice some things about her position, and surroundings. "I could have sworn I've had my hood down since I got back home... Just what's going on here...? And why can't I move...? Something is...Off. Very off..."

Aiden, Kayla, and Zoe
As their bodies approached the ground below, Zoe, Aiden, and Kayla were all slowly rotated by an unseen force. As their feet slowly came in contact with the ground, the three of them all glanced at what another. There was a lot to take in between the intricate floor and the bodies that were descending from above, much as they just had.
"Any idea where we are?" Aiden asked, his voice echoing slightly.
Kayla simply shrugged. No... I don't.
Zoe didn't respond at all, but rather just stared at the stained glass-like floor beneath them.

Daylin
The moment Daylin's feet connected with the ground he stretched, muscles stiff due from the binding (or whatever had been controlling him, this was a weird ass dream). More people had appeared since he had started dreaming, two teenage girls in pajamas and a man complaining about how cold it was. "Damn it, even in my dreams all people do is whine about something." He looked down after that, and laughed loudly.
They were standing on a glass floor. A damn glass floor. It had been pretty up more than normal glass (what did people call it, stained?) and had a swirl pattern with the image of some boy taking up most of the floor. The kid had comically large shoes and anime-style hair, and he wore the most flamboyant red shorts. His eyes were closed as if he was sleeping, and if you looked closer there was distorted faces in the smaller glass bubbles.
The mechanic began stomping down on the glass hard, the heel of his boot repeatedly pounding into the floor. If he fell to his death he would wake up, and this dream was boring already.

Aiden
Aiden was scratching his head. This surely didn't feel like a dream, something was just...off about it. Albeit, it was rather impossible that he'd suddenly be floating in a black sky in the middle of nowhere, and the design on the floor was rather comical. He closed his eyes, maybe he could force himself to wake up? He tried to see if he could pull himself out of this slumber, but when he opened his eyes, Aiden found himself still standing on the blue-tinted floor. This time, though, there was a dirty-looking boy stomping his foot on the ground. Aiden stepped forward towards the guy, and then said, Hey, your foot fall asleep or something? What gives?

John Anderson
After what seemed like forever John finally felt his feet firmly planted on some surface. He was starting to get used to the cold and his eyes finally adjusted to the only light eliminating the area." What the hell? This isn't my room; I must be dreaming or something." When John started to look around he saw all the children around him. Then suddenly his eyes widened as he came to a realization." I know what going on! This is some kind of revelation dream where my innocence clashes with my fear responsibility personified through five separate types of children. Four of which are girls...not sure how I feel about that." John placed his hand on his chin with a bewildered look on his face as he saw the last person who looked closest to his age. “And my fear of responsibility is some dirty biker...huh, go figure."
John already aware of how dreams like this go approached his adult representative, who apparently had some time of issue with glass because after muttering to him about it proceeded to try the glass floor below their feet, placed his hands on his should and with a cheeky smile asked. "Hey pal, instead of smashing my dreamscape would you mind just telling me whatever lesson I’m supposed to be learning so I can go somewhere more...creative? And why are the kids in their pajamas, seems alittle creepy for one of my dreams? Or would you care to share stereo typical cool guy?"

Daylin
Daylin halted his stomping as the two strangers interrupted him, turning to look at them both. "No, my foot's not asleep. I'm trying to break the damn glass so I can wake up. I don't wanna deal with this tonight." Of course the minute he tried to do something as simple as wake up, even his own imaginary people started jumping him. Fan-freakin'-tastic.
He glanced down at the floor, and stomped his boot into the ground one last time for good measure. He still failed to leave so much as a scratch. Attempting to reign in his temper he turned towards the two guys once again, inhaled deeply, and then spoke as calmly as he possibly good. "Look. I had a hard day at work, and all I want is a decent night's sleep before I have to wake up again at six in the morning. Please let me out of this stupid dream so we can all go back t doing whatever we normally do." He felt so retarded talking to himself, but if that's what was called for...

Jade and Enerxia
As Enerxia began to touch down, she managed to extend her legs as to not fall over, as the position she had been in was that of sitting in a chair. She began to look around, wondering a few things. "This has to be a dream, right? But then...Why did the other people assume it was a dream, then? Don't dreams normally try and keep themselves hidden...?"
Jade however, when she touched the ground, merely continued to lie down, before rolling over and placing her arms bellow her head, as if to cushion it. She didn't really move, just sort of attempted to go back to sleep. That's how it works sometimes, right? Go to sleep in the dream, wake up in reality...?"
The more Enerxia thought about it, and how this couldn't have been dream, not with...Some of the evidence, she went over to the one person she recognized. She started to prod at Jade, poking the other as if to get their attention. The girl in the hoodie only looked at the other, before speaking. "Enerxia. Stop poking me....Wait...If this is a dream...Begone from me, and leave me to my sleep."
Enerxia continued to poke the other, harder and harder, until it started to cause pain. But, that was it exactly. Pain. You can't feel pain in your dreams, and if you can, you might want to get that checked on. Jade slowly began to get up from her position, before looking at the other and speaking yet again. "...I assume you found yourself here after going to sleep?"
Enerxia nodded, thinking to herself a bit before responding. She motioned towards some of the others, before speaking. "I suggest we go ask some of the others, maybe they'll know...? Or maybe even they did it...? I don't know."
Jade just sort of nodded, before walking towards the others. She thought about approaching the one who had previously been stomping on the ground, but it had seemed someone else was already talking to him...Or at least, harassing him. She went to the other group, the group of two girls and one guy. Jade sort of pushed Enerxia ahead, as if asking for her to do the talking here, and so, she did. "I...Don't suppose any of you know why we're here... Do you...?"

John Anderson
A bit lost as to what was going on John began to think again placing his hand back on his chin." Now hold on a second. What do you mean "your" dream? This is my dream pal and I’m tryin to figure whatever stupid lesson I’m supposed to learn to wake up. But if none of you can offer any useful information then I'm outta here." With that gone waved his hand off to the two people walking over to the edge of the platform. But when he reached the edge there were no other platforms below them or above, only an abyss of darkness. A rather embarrassed expression came on his face as he turned around back to the group." Or maybe I'll just stay here and brainstorm with my imagination. So fellas, any ideas on how to wake-up?"

Kayla and Zoe
Two girls walked up to the twins, and one of them, the one with the blond hair, spoke to them. "I...Don't suppose any of you know why we're here... Do you...?" she said.
Zoe, while keeping her gaze fixed on the floor, was the one to actually respond first. "Um, no, we don't." Her words were short and mumbled, quickly spoken as if the conversation were a race.
Meanwhile, Kayla had reached over to her own arm and gave herself a slight pinch. Ouch, that actually kind of hurt... she thought. That's it, it hurt, there's no way that this was a dream. It was a simple check, the kind you saw in movies all of the time, but it was apparently legitimate. She looked at the two girls who had just walked up to them. "This doesn't feel like a dream to either of you, does it? She asked. It seemed as if it could indeed be a figment of her imagination, but it was rare for a person to be aware that they were dreaming. She remembered a lesson from school, in which if she was aware that she was dreaming, then she should be able to change some element that was present. She tried to change the scenery around her, picturing rocky mountains and beautiful valleys, but nothing changed. There was no way that this was a dream, yet it seemed so...unrealistic.

The disembodied voice of a man suddenly echoed around the chamber.
Fate has chosen seven new guardians to protect the light. The universe has not yet experienced its darkest hour. Dire times will soon be upon us.
A colorful glass stairway suddenly appeared out of thin air, leading to a new platform, a second floor, that had not been there before.
Aiden, Kayla, and Zoe
Whether this was a dream or not, Aiden half expected the people here to be a bit more friendly. He simply shrugged the man's comments off, and was walking toward the twins when a voice sounded. It seemed rather foreboding, but rather than stop in his tracks, he rejoined the girls, who were now talking to two others.

Daylin
Daylin jumped slightly at the voice, then settled when it faded. He stared at the glass staircase and the platform above them that had miraculously appeared. He saw the two older women talking to the girls, and was surprised at the twins friends reaction. He shrugged it off like nothing had happened, which was definitely not the case. These figments were strange, and he decided he needed to see a psychiatrist soon (after all, he had fifteen year old children in pajamas running around in his dreams).
"Did no one else notice the damn stairs that just appeared outta nowhere?" The mechanic tones was slightly more aggressive than he had intended, and louder too. "Staircases aren't suppose to do that." Most people knew that, but he felt he had to state it for these individuals. That, and the fact that the steps to the stairs were not connected, and seemed to be segments of glass floating in the air.

A voice coming somewhere in the darkness started talking about dream nonsense and suddenly new glass stairs appeared leading upward to another platform. The only other person dressed as if they weren't ready to sleep had pointed out what everyone must have noticed. “It’s a dream, pal. I can't imagine stairs appearing outta nowhere being anything other than the norm here. Although I am still curious why you would think this is your dream." John patted the filthy man on the shoulder once more before giving a shrug of his and shaking his head as if he had given up trying to figure him out. As he made his way over to the stairs and began to ascend them he looked back down and shouted out." I don’t know, or really care for that matter, if any of you dream kid are gonna me follow up but, I don’t see much of anything happening down there!" Then John continued his way back up the stairs to the next platform.

Enerxia and Jade
Enerxia began to respond to the other's quick words, when a loud ominous voice began to speak. The words seemed to unnerve the two, as they seemed to jump at the voice. Enerxia began look around for the voice, when only one thing caught both her and Jade's eyes. A large staircase made out of glass, had just...Appeared. Enerxia and Jade both slowly started stepping towards the staircase... Jade began to speak, mumbling her words. "I...Guess we don't have much of a choice...Do we...?" To which Enerxia simply nodded at, as they continued to move forwards.

Daylin watched as one by one, everyone began to make their way towards the staircase. He wasn't sure what they were thinking listening to the ominous voice in the sky, but honestly this dream was getting on his nerves. He wanted to the bottom of it and fast, even if that meant climbing some weird floating staircase. He was gonna regret this, he knew it, but... "Ah, damn it! He followed the others of the staircase, taking the steps two at a time.

Sean
Something akin to a panicked yell can be heard overhead as a boy with brown hair falls down at the start of the stairs. He got up groggily, last thing he remembered he dropped down on his bed to sleep, but then somehow he ended up falling down a void to get here... wherever here is. Nothing's hurting at least, and he looks around and notices people up the stairs and people who were about to step where he fell. He nervously waved a greeting.
Ehe.... Um, Hi. Sooo... where am I?

Aiden, Kayla, and Zoe
[NOTE: Swapping Zoe and Kayla's colors, Zoe is now purple, and Kayla will be teal.]
As Aiden rejoined the twins, the other two girls they had been with walked up the stairs. There was a new guy with them now, one he had not seen before.
Ehe.... Um, Hi. Sooo... where am I?
"We don't know," Zoe said quickly. Whether this was a dream or not, although she didn't see how it could possibly be real, she could not allow her sister to consistently best her, even when it came to just meeting new people. Assuming this was real life, and assuming that what that ominous (and just plain creepy) voice said was true, which was absolutely absurd, by the way, then she would need an ally. Her sister and Aiden were charismatic enough to meet new people with rather ease, but she was not that open to strangers. If she would change and lead the new life she wanted, then it would start with this dream, assuming she would remember it once she woke up. "My name's Zoe," she continued, a bit nervous. She extended her hand towards this new boy for a shake, her actions quick and clumsy.
"Relax, Zo." Kayla put a hand on her sister's upper arm. She could tell that Zoe was nervous, and seemed to be desperately trying to make a new friend. The disembodied voice had admittedly caught her off guard and caused her to jump a little, but she tried to play it off and act like it was nothing. She acknowledged Aiden with a nod as he walked up, and then spoke to the group of four as a whole. "I think we head up those stairs," she said. "Regardless of what we all think may be going on, we're not going to find anything out by just standing here. It seemed obvious to her, but she by no means wished to be rude.
"I agree, I was just thinking the same thing myself," Aiden said, shoving his hands in the pockets of the red shorts that he had slept in. He was rather intrigued by this place, and while he payed no mind to the voice's warnings, he was curious as to what this strange chamber, as he would call it, held within.

Sean
still a bit confused, he nods and gets up from the floor and makes his way up the stairs, going one step at a time in a fairly fast pace.
Okay, this is just a dream, relax. If things get ugly you always have your metal pencil... wait!
He quickly checks his pockets. Empty. Figures.
Well, I'm doomed.

Aiden, Kayla, and Zoe
Zoe held her hand up for a moment as the boy walked away, ignoring her handshake. She dropped her arm and hung her head. This was just her luck. If it had been Aiden, or especially Kayla, there's no way they would have been ignored. She looked up after a short moment, and nodded towards the others. Yeah, let's go. With that, the trio made their way up the stairs and joined everyone else on the next floor, which was identical to the first, except it was tinted purple.

Once everyone had made it to the second floor, the stairs, along with the first floor, disappeared. Then, the disembodied voice came again.
Evil will rise. Heroes and role models will turn to the darkness. The worlds will be in need of new champions, but who will stand up to the task, and who will fall to the shadows?
As the voice said this, several creatures came from out of the floor. The were black, bug-like creatures with glowing yellow eyes, seemingly made of darkness. Not long after their summon, they sunk into the ground and headed towards each of the people on the floor, and once they got near these people they popped up and attacked them!

Sean
As the first floor disappeared and the voice overhead started talking about darkness, Sean can't help but feel like this is all a bit familiar somehow. His thought process is, however, interrupted as a shadow creature pops up in front of him and attacks, Sean barely being able to get out of the way.
Whoa- WHAT IS THIS?!
Sean reaches for his pencil, forgot that he doesn't have it, and then decides to put his fighting skills to practice... so he then flails awkwardly at the shadow, his fists seemingly going right through it as he regrets neglecting to practice his lessons. Then as Sean attempts a kick, the shadow jumps and tries scratching him, but he manages to roll out of the way. Then he and the shadow seem to circle around each other awkwardly, waiting for something to happen.
The one time I could use my metal pencil, I happen to drop it! If only I had a weapon...

Aiden, Kayla, and Zoe
"...the hell?" While Aiden may not have payed much attention to the voice before, it certainly had him now as the dark creatures swarmed up from the ground, one of them lunging straight at him. He swung his left arm towards it as the creature jumped at him, his fist clenched as he went in for the uppercut. Aiden's eyes grew wide as his fist went straight through the creature, its claws then tearing through his white t-shirt and cutting his upper arm. He cursed, turning to face the monster as it landed on the ground. His arm burned furiously, but he refused to tear his eyes away from the shadowy creature.
"Ahhhh! Help!" Zoe actually cried out for help. If there was one thing she absolutely hated, it was bugs, and this one looked as if it were about to pounce on her.
"I got ya!" Kayla, who had not the slightest idea of what was going on, knew only that she had to protect her sister. She ran up from behind the monster that was attacking Zoe, and took a swing at its side with her right foot. Much to her dismay, her foot seemed to go through the bug-looking thing, which then turned around and slashed at her ankle. It just barely clipped her, drawing just a small blood, but it still hurt. "What are these things!?" she called out.
"I have no idea!" Aiden responded, reversing slowly and then pressing his back up against Kayla's, never taking his eye off the creature as it sunk back into the ground. "I can't hurt it," he said a little more quietly, now that Kayla was right next to (or rather behind) him.
"Me neither. What do we do?
"I don't know," Aiden was forced to admit. It was a phrase he had heard far too many times already.

Enerxia and Jade
They had made it up the stairs, and had even started walking around the glass floor a bit, before the ominous voice spoke again. Both Enerxia and Jade seemed less freaked out by it this time, as it had happened once already. However, the shadow like creatures, that began to spring up around them, well, that was a different story. Neither of them outright freaked out, but rather seemed to back into each other, as if back to back, watching as the creatures began to close in on their position. If there was ONE thing those two had in common, it was that they would stick together.

Daylin
"What in the hell?" Daylin stared ahead in confusion as the voice boomed in his ears, and the shadows tore themselves from the ground. They were short, around his thigh at the most, and had beady yellow eyes and antennas. The claws on their hands looked sharper than they should have on such unintimidating creature, and they moved at a surprising speed.
He had seen the others attempts at fighting, but figured he might as well give it a shot. He swung at the head of the first one that lunged at him, and his phased right through. The claws of the shadow caught him on the shoulder, shredding his shirt and mixing blood stains with oil stains. He swore, and as the creature swiped again he stepped away. It became a game of cat and mouse, with him just barely side stepping each blow. The game ended when he slid tot he side again, and another crept up behind him and slashed at his leg.
He swore loudly, then jumped back a ways, wincing at the strength he was forced to put on the injury. "Damn it, anyone got any ideas?"

And Just like before the voice talks again from somewhere in the darkness. "Ugh. Even in my dreams the stupid freakin' oracles have to talk cryptic." John rubbing his eyes an in annoyed fashion hadn't noticed the shadows approaching them until the he began hearing screams. The creepy black ants started jumping trying to claw at them. Luckily, they weren't that fast and John was able to step out of their way when they jumped to attack.
The shadow trying to attack John flattened its self and began crawling on the floor to John. He figured that while it was like that if he could land a blow it would be easy to dispatch. But when he tried to crush it under his foot the shadow proceeded to crawl under it and behind him. John followed it with his eyes still watching it move around in the flatten state until it jumped from the ground at such speed it shocked John.
John fell to the floor as the shadows bound sent him over to the back of John. Freighted he pushed himself back with his hands and feet to create distance from the creature. "What the hell are these things?! I didn't think this dream could get creepier then kids in their pajamas!"

As the people were being attacked by the creatures, the voice came up again.
Be not afraid of the heartless, for this weapon, the keyblade, will be you beacon of hope.
Aiden, Kayla, and Zoe
Zoe was the only one of three to actually look up when the voice spoke. What is even going on? she thought.
"A...keyblade? What's that?" Kayla said, keeping her back to Aiden as the two creatures circled them under the surface ground. Before he could respond, there was a flash of light in each of their right hands. A weapon, that was strangely reminiscent of a key materialized as the light faded away. Aiden's was primarily black, with a red grip and a gold guard. The blade itself was also gold, with shiny silver spike-like attachments. It was fairly simple, yet had an edge to it; Aiden liked it. Kayla's was rather different than his, almost a metallic silver in color. It looked as if it had actual stars swirling about it, and the handle seemed to contain the cosmos itself. It fit her quite perfectly.
I'm guessing it's this," Aiden responded to Kayla's question. Just as he said this, one of the monsters launched out of the ground at him, and he instinctively swung at it with the keyblade. It knocked the monster right on to the ground, and before it could get up, Aiden swung at it from the side, knocking it back. To finish his relentless attack of, he grabbed the keyblade with both hands and swung down at the creature from above his head. Before he hit it though, the creature sunk back into the ground and dodged his attack.
Kayla felt Aiden disconnect from her, but she couldn't look back as one of the monsters popped up from the ground and ran at her. She sidestepped quickly as it clawed at her legs, its attack just missing her, but catching it slightly off balance. Kayla took advantage of this and stabbed straight at this creature, knocking it down on its side.
Zoe watched, feeling hopeless, as Aiden and Kayla fought with these mysterious weapons. She held her hand out and looked at it, hoping that the flash of light that she had seen summon the weapon for her friends would do the same for her. Nothing happened. Of course, this was just her luck. Aiden and Kayla could fight and help save them, while she was forced to just sit on the sidelines and watch.

John Anderson
As the creature began to creep up on John the voice had once again made it apparent. It said there was a way to fight back with something called a keyblade but John was hardly paying attention to it. He only kept backing up trying to get away from the shadow then, suddenly a bright light flashed in his right hand and what appeared was a strange object appeared in John's hand. It resembled the wing of an angel and gave John a feeling of vigor surged through him. "What is this thing?! Is it supposed to whatever the hell a keyblade is?? It doesn't even look like a key!"
But there was no time for John to complain about the name and actual appearance of this so called “keyblade". The shadow attacking him leapt once more, John could only tumble out of the way of its claws as it grazed its shoulder. Another light emanated from the hilt of the blade. It was in strange lettering nothing John had ever seen but somehow he could tell what it said. “There’s no need to talk about it, because the truth of what one says lies in what one does. What the hell is that supposed to mean?! Now this things tryin to get cryptic on me! This dream keeps getting more insane!"
But as John looked over he saw the other getting attacked, he saw the two youngest of this odd group huddled together as the shadows began approaching on them. John hadn't realized yet himself but, he had begun moving on his own to the girl’s aid before the shadows could jump to strike he swung the blade in the attempt to swat them away. When he realized what he had done, that the shadows had backed off he smacked himself in the forehead for doing something so out of character for him. “Great now i want to protect figments of my imagination. What the hell is wrong with me." When he looked down and saw the two he got over it not really caring about what he had just done, just let out a sigh exhausted with everything going on around him. "Hey, are you two ok?"
John lowered himself to get to eye level with him two when he asked the question. Forgetting about the shadow he had ignored to help the young ones. The shadow had crept up on john preparing another attack as it leapt towards john once more. But there was no time to dodge only hope this strike wouldn't kill him.

Daylin
Daylin barely acknowledged the voice, too busy avoid the two shadow bugs chasing after him. His back was pressed against the edge of the platform, and even though he knew it was a dream, a feeling of dread gathered in his gut as the shadow cornered him. There was one to his left, and another to his right. they were creeping forward in their odd hunched walk, beady yellow eyes glowing and claws dragging against the floor.
There was a sudden burst of warmth in his right hand hand, and the feeling of dread vanished. The pain from his injuries lessened, and the shadows stopped advancing for a second. He looked down, and blinked in surprise. He gripped (what he assumed) was a keyblade. The blade looked evil, the dark wings and red claws of the weapon thirsting for blood. It wasn't a weapon meant to be pretty, it was meant for business. It suited the mechanic.
He raised the keyblade, a wicked grin on his face. His leg and shoulder were still sore, but most of all, he was pissed. He didn't give the creatures time to attack him again, throwing himself forward and slashing and hacking brutally. There was no rhythm to the onslaught. He gripped the blade with both hands and swung at the creatures repeatedly. The majority of the attacks didn't land on the bugs, but he didn't tire. When one did connect it would lift the creatures completely off their feet, sending them flying across the platform.
He was pissed off, and now he could hit back. It was just like old times.

Enerxia and Jade
As the shadows closed in on the two, one of the others seemed to rush to their aid. As the one helping them seemed to be fighting off the shadows, one seemed to be sneaking up on him as he asked a question. Jade began to answer yes, as she hadn't seen the heartless, but... Enerxia caught a glimpse of it, and, as if by instinct, she seemed to dash in, and swing...Well, at the time it looked like air. Mid Swing, what seemed like a flash of light appeared, and this odd looking blade seemed to appear. The blade cleaved into the side of the shadow, and went straight through it. However, as it flew through the being, it seemed to diminish the shadow's size. It lunged at her, the claws only being stopped by the odd blade, an eye near the edge of it staring straight back at the Wielder. She seemed to manage to over power the being, slashing into it twice more, before it seemed to diminish to mere nothingness.
Jade watched helpless as the others fought. No rush of adrenaline seemed to come fourth, no instinct, nothing. No...Way to fight back... For the first time in awhile, she felt, helpless.

John Anderson
John looked over his shoulder to see the he was previously fighting lunge at him while his back was turned. Before he could do anything one of the girls he made the attempt to protect had struck the shadow away with her own keyblade." Uh, Th-Thanks kid " John rose to both his feet gripping his keyblade like a vice. If this wasn't some weird ass dream I might actually be a little ticked I got saved by a little girl. As he gripped his keyblade harder he felt more reason to fight.
John turned on his heel to face the two shadows he had knocked away and held on to his keyblade with both hands he charged to them. One of the shadows had melded with he ground while the other stood waiting to see what John would do. Keeping the blade low to the ground he swung upward when he reached the shadow knocking it up. Griping the keyblade like a bat he swung at the shadow when it came to level with his shoulder. With each hit white feathers would burst from off the shadow and although not very noticeable the shadow size was beginning to lessen.

Aiden, Kayla, and Zoe
Kayla shoved her Keyblade into the helpless creature and it exploded into darkness. She turned around to help Aiden, but saw him just as he pummeled the monster, right when it popped out of the ground and charged at him, and it, too, burst into darkness.
"Not bad," Kayla chuckled, trying to make light of their situation.
"Thanks," Aiden replied, forcing a smile. As bad, and strange, as things seemed, now they could at least fight back.
"Hey," Kayla said, frowning, what happened to your arm? Are you alright? She ran over Aiden, looking concerned.
"Oh, yeah," Aiden replied, looking at his left arm himself "don't worry, I'm fine. I think it looks worse than it really is." In the heat of battle, Aiden had almost forgotten about the wound, which, along with the torn t-shirt around it, was now sticky and coated with dried blood. It must not have been very deep, for it didn't seem to be bleeding any more. "What about you? Did those things get you?"
"Just barely. I think one of them scratched my ankle a little. I should be ok."
"Alright, good. This is pretty crazy, huh? I mean, we're not even wearing shoes," Aiden said jokingly, but Kayla let off a slight smile, nodding in agreement. She was wearing a somewhat similar outfit as Aiden: a black v-neck t-shirt and black shorts.
"Aiden! Kayla!" The sound of Zoe's voice snapped the two of them out of their daze. They turned to see one of the ant-like creatures land right in front of Zoe, having been knocked away by the raging, foot-stomping guy from earlier. Aiden felt like an idiot, letting his guard down like that, since when did he become so lazy? He and Kayla sprinted towards Zoe as the creature recovered. Kayla, getting there slightly before Aiden, swatted it out of the air as it jumped at Zoe. Aiden ran over and bashed it with the back end of his keyblade. The monster sunk into the ground again after flying off to the side.
"Aiden, look out Behind you!" Kayla's call was just a bit too late as the creature caught Aiden on the back of his calf. Aiden was able to react quickly enough, though, so that the creature just barely scratched him. As he spun around, he tore into the creature with his keyblade, and exploded into darkness, much like the other one had before. He looked at Zoe. Did it get you?
Zoe only shook her head, giving no verbal confirmation. Rather, she said, "What's going on?" Her breath was shaken, and her skin was pale.
"It's just as you said," Kayla replied gently, we don't know."
"Not all of us are gonna live long enough to find out if this keeps up," Aiden added in, pointing in the general direction all of the others, who were also fighting against the creatures, some with keyblades, and another one or two without. Aiden hadn't been boxing in months, and despite the dangers that plagued everyone, he almost enjoyed the fact that he was fighting again. Even through his slight enjoyment, he was determined that no matter what this was, dream or not, he was not going to let his friends get hurt.

Sean
Suddenly, a strange brush appeared in Sean's hand in a ray of rainbow light, with an odd resemblance to a key-like blade... He decided to dub it keyblade as the voice says. Sean then smiles as he gets into a back-hand fighting stance, the heartless backing away a bit before leaping at him. Sean jumps at the heartless as well, slashing at it and launching it a good two foot away from the blow. Sean then takes advantage of this by running up to it and stabbing it in the head before it can get up, it then fades away in a stream of black smoke. He then turns to a random direction to see if any other shadow wants to fight.

As the keyblade wielders struck down the creatures in front of them, the rest sank back into the ground and disappeared. Much like before, stained glass stairs suddenly materialized out of thin air, leading all the way to a newly-revealed third floor. Unlike last time though, the disembodied voice did not speak.

Jade and Enerxia
The shadows around them began to dissipate, before disappearing. As the creatures around them began to leave, Enerxia began to something she hadn't done before. She outstretched her right hand, holding the Void's Touch, and began to examine the blade. The more she looked at the odd weapon, the more it...Looked back. She realized something as she held it out. The eye was...Moving, as if looking at things. However, there was on thing about the eye that she noticed. Whenever she began to stare directly at any point of the blade, the eye would look directly back at her, specifically into her eye's.
As Enerxia examined her weapon, Jade on the other hand, began making her way up the newly appearing stairs. Something was...Off about this place, and something was off about those creatures, and she, was going to find it out. She continued walking up the glass stairs, just a few questions bouncing around her head, other than the already apparent ones. "Something's not right... More stairs appeared, yet the voice didn't speak... And if the voice didn't speak... Well... Why didn't it? And even more... If the weapons that most of the others had, have anything to do with why we're here... Why am I here?
As the young girl in the hoodie walked up the stairs, more and more questions began to bounce around in her head. Enerxia, on the other hand, only started up the stairs when the other was already a quarter up them. It was as if she hadn't noticed, that her friend was ascending the stairs until then.

Aiden, Kayla, and Zoe
The trio watched, surprised, as the creatures suddenly disappeared before their eyes. They waited in silence as another set of stairs appeared, leading towards a new platform. Unlike before, the voice never came, and Kayla and Zoe ran up to Aiden, both looking confused.
"There was no voice," Zoe said.
"Well obviously."
"Why not?"
"Maybe it just didn't have anything to say. I think it's best for us to just move on."
Kayla folded her arms. "Are you sure it's safe?"
"No, but if those things show back up here, it won't be any safer. Aiden wasn't worried or confused about the fact that the voice had not spoken, unlike Kayla and Zoe, respectively, but he was rather curious. He wondered exactly what was going on, even more so now than before now that they had these giant keys.
"Alright, fine, I guess you have a point. Let's get going." Kayla immediately headed to and then up the stairs, with Aiden and Zoe right behind.

Daylin
Daylin watched the others, knee sore from overuse and shoulder aching. He had no idea what was going on, but he had calmed down quite a bit now that he had released most of his anger on the bugs. "I have no idea what the hell is going on, but I might as well finish what I started.
He didn't mention it, but he was beginning to question this so called dream. his arm and shoulder really felt like they had been cut, it wasn't all shiits and giggles like any other dream he'd had. It was definitely noticeable. And, even though his instincts told him not to do it, he ascended the stairs with the others.

John Anderson
Striking the final blow into the shadow it dispersed in a black cloud. John was unsure if that meant he killed it, but he didn't really care either. He looked around and all the shadows that had been attacking vanished, but not in the black cloud John had saw. John was a bit disappointed at the sudden end of the fight. When he looked up another platform had appeared with a new stair case leading to it."Damn it just when we were able to fight back to." John reached into the pocket of his jacket looking for his pack of smokes. As he lit the cigarette, slowly making his way over to the and up the stairs whispering under his breathe."When am I gonna wake up already?"

Sean saw the shadows flee... he thinks? He wasn't quite sure what happened to them, but they were gone now, and that was the important part. He looks at the stairs that just appeared.
I swear to god I've seen this somewhere before, but I just cant remember. Guess I'll have to continue on and see if the next floor will jog my memory.
With that he walked to the stairs, heading for the third level.

Just like before, the stairs disappeared as everyone arrived on the third platform. As if to make up from its absence from before, the voice returned.
The keyblade is not your only weapon against the creatures known as the heartless. These scrolls will unlock the potential held deep within you to use magic. It will aid you in your battle against the darkness.
A scroll then appeared out of thin air, floating directly in front of almost every person, encased in a ball of light. Each scroll contained a series of words in it, seemingly written in a language that didn't exist. Upon reading those words, the person for whom it is meant will then be able to use the magic indicated by the scroll.
Aiden, Kayla, and Zoe
As the trio stepped onto the green-tinted floor, the voice sounded again, this time speaking about magic. Aiden looked over to the twins and raised an eyebrow, but they both just simply shrugged. Before anything of them could actually say anything, what appeared to be a scroll popped up in front of each of them. At first, none of them moved. If it was as the voice said, then it seemed that each of them could learn some sort of magic by reading it.
"What should we do?" Kayla asked. "Should we read it?" She was concerned that the voice could possibly be tricking them. It had seemingly led them through this place, and thus likely having caused their encounter with whatever these heartless were.
"I don't see why not," Aiden shrugged. They could give us more powers."
"And what if the voice is lying to us? What if it's dangerous?"
"And what if there're are monsters that these keys can't hurt?" He could tell that Kayla was obviously scared, something that he was not used to seeing. He put his left hand on her shoulder, gritting his teeth as his wound stretched and his upper arm flared with pain. "Look, I promise, it's safe. Maybe one of us should go first, just in case." Kayla's face didn't show any signs of approval at the idea.
"Yeah, I like that idea," Zoe spoke up. "I'll go first." She had to both be strong for her sister and show that she was strong herself. Plus, she hadn't gotten a keyblade like the rest of them, and if those bug things showed up again, she wanted to be useful this time.
"No, I can't let you do that," Kayla said, pulling away from Aiden and turning back to her sister. "I can't let you go fir-"
"You aren't my mom," Zoe said firmly, plucking the scroll out of the air. The light around it faded away as she held it in her hands. "Besides, isn't that part of the reason why we moved, anyway? So that we could make choices for ourselves?
"Zoe," Kayla began again.
"Stop, she has a point," Aiden interrupted. "Let her do it."
Kayla let out a sigh. Zoe could be stubborn on occasion, and she knew that her sister would read the scroll, no matter what she said. "Fine, just... be careful."
Zoe nodded. "Alright, here we go." Although nervous, she struggled, but managed, to keep her hands steady as she unrolled the scroll. She had to prove that she was strong. She glanced over the first words on the scroll, which glowed a dark blue as her eyes scanned over them. Her eyes matched that shade of blue, and so did her fingernails, and although there was no water around her, she felt as if she were drowning. She dropped the scroll and gasped for air, but she resisted the urge to cry out for help. Aiden and Kayla watched in horror as Zoe fell to her knees, having trouble to breathe. They rushed over to help her, but Zoe pushed them away. "No... I can... do this," she gasped. She forced her way through the pain, and it soon faded away. Regaining her composure, she picked up the scroll and returned to her feet.
"Are you alright?" Aiden asked, alarmed. He was unsure of what else to say. Kayla, meanwhile, was completely silent, terrified that she had almost lost her sister.
"Yeah, I think so," Zoe replied as her eyes and nails returned to their natural colors. She wanted to say that she was worried, that she wasn't ok, but in truth, she felt fine. The word "Water" echoed around in her head, and she felt urged to speak it, but chose not to as she glanced down at the scroll again.
"Wait, Zoe," Kayla warned, maybe it's best if you don't do this again. It isn't safe." She was too late though, as Zoe had already read the other line that had been written on the scroll. She immediately froze in place, for she felt like she was literally, well, frozen. Her eyes and nails turned an icy blue as this happened, and Kayla turned to Aiden, tears starting to form in her eyes. "Aiden, please, make it stop," she pleaded.
Aiden shook his head. "It's already done."
"Alright, who's going next?" Zoe asked as her nails and eyes once again returned to normal, and she no longer felt frozen in place. That sensation was just as frightening as the one before, but she had made her way through it. She was indeed strong, and now a second word was made prominent in her thoughts: "Blizzard."
Kayla watched, mouth open in shock, as Aiden reached for the scroll in front of him.

John Anderson
Making his way onto the platform, the voice once again speaks, about magic nonetheless. John couldn't help but feel this dream was turning into some messed up RPG. Thankfully the smoke he was enjoying kept him from screaming it at the voice in the futile attempt to get a response. Once the voice stopped talking scrolls, incased in a bubble of light, appeared out of know where lowering themselves to everyone. Taking out the cigarette to exhale the smoke John let the scroll fall in his free hand.
"Well now, let’s see what mystical power i get from this piece of scrap paper." John spoke out loud with a rather sarcastic tone as he opened the scroll. The lettering on the scroll looked similar to the one on the hilt of his keyblade, but he couldn't like he could before. As he looked over the scroll, the words turned a whitish grey and then for the first time since John arrived, he felt a breeze blow across his face. He blew out another cloud of smoke, but instead of simply drifting upward like it had been previously; it flew behind following the gust of wind. It hadn't seemed like anyone else noticed the wind, as it was getting harsher, John could see it blowing on the scroll as he continued to look down it. "What the hell is this?" The wind had really begun to pick up as John had to cover his eyes to keep debris from hitting them.
The torrent of wind began hitting as if it were a hurricane knocking John back, closer and closer to the edge. When he looked behind him he saw the bottomless pit of darkness below. He couldn’t fight back against the wind, and no one else seemed to be effected by it. Finally, as John had finished the last line of the scroll a blast of wind send John over the edge of the platform. John closed his eyes as he fell facing the fathomless pit ahead, but when he opened them he had been right back where he was originally standing, scroll in hand, with his cigarette just burning away. Everything seemed the same, which only made what had just happened all the more disturbing. John took his cigarette and put it out on the platform unsure of whether it was it or the scroll that brought the hallucination on. "I should probably start taking this dream a little more seriously or I'm gonna lose it."

Daylin
Daylin glared at the sky as he stepped up onto the platform, the ominous voice really beginning to irk him. All it did was preach at him from the sky about things that only existed in The Legend of Zelda. First swords of light, then magic, what was next, fairies named Navi who wouldn't shut the hell up? He sighed and snatched the illuminated paper out of the air, tearing it open. The paper felt rough and sandy, speckles of dirt falling onto the floor as he moved his fingers. Ignoring that, he looked at the 'spell'.
He couldn't read the words. He felt like he should be able to read him, but they were in a language he wasn't even sure existed. He tried for a moment longer, waiting for his brain to make sense of them it. It didn't, and when he saw the prat from earlier start to glow along with his scroll, and the teenage girl freeze herself with a blizzard, it pissed him off. Why the hell did they get it so fast? He tightened his grip on the paper, and it crumbled into sand and landed in lump on the floor.
"God damn it!" Daylin stomped on the pile furiously, scattering it everywhere. Then, for good measure, the mechanic drew his hand back and punched the ground as hard as he could. His fist hit the platform hard, and this time, it ruptured in a circumference of two feet around him. He was standing in a broken pile of glass, his knuckles slightly bloody. He also felt more tired than before.
"We have a god damn mana system, really?!"

Jade
As the voice spoke, this odd scroll appeared in front of her. She felt...Drawn to the scroll, as if she had to open it, and read the contents. As she began to open the scroll, she was able to watch. As One of them broke the glass with extreme force...And one froze over... She wasn't sure weather to be afraid of what she was about to read... Or be excited for it...For the possibilities... But either way, she would read it.
As she gripped the paper, it seemed to almost fill her with...Energy. She unraveled the paper, and began to read it. It seemed to be comprised of two halves... One was bright yellow...The other was a deep blue... She began to 'read' the first half. Staring at it, taking the shapes in. As she read it, sparks began to fly off her, slamming into the glass and eventually dissipating. A single word echoed through her mind as she finished taking in the first half of the scroll... Thunder. As the word echoed through her mind, nothing could stop her from muttering it. As soon as she finished muttering the word, and so, she did. As soon as the word's left her mouth, a bolt of lightning jumped from her hands, and slammed into the ground. While it didn't hurt anyone... It did make a noise, and even startle her.
She began to read off the other half of the paper, it seemed like it had been drenched in water, and then dried. The text seemed different from the last, yet she couldn't tell what it meant. It felt as if she had been learning like the first, yet, she couldn't understand a thing the scroll had on it. However, a single word seemed to dig into her mind, like the first one, it seemed... Like a trivial word, that she would have to learn to not use, or risk...Something, at least. The word was Water. This time, she made the decision not to speak the word. She felt tired enough... No telling what that would do.
Enerxia
Enerxia watched as Jade read from the scroll, and sparks began to fly off. One thing that she did notice, was water began to flow from the other's fingertips, and the mage seemed like she hadn't noticed it quite as much as the sparks. Enerxia slowly grabbed the scroll in front of her...With everything that happened to the others... What would happen to her...? Nonetheless, she began to open the scroll. It felt... Odd. The scroll seemed lighter than air itself.
The words glowed an odd whitish color, the shape seemed alien to her completely, and she couldn't understand a single thing on the paper. But...The more she studied the paper, the more winds began to slowly nudge her, before she was at the edge. The second she finished her paper, one strong gust of wind seemed to knock her off, sending her off the edge, and the scroll seemed to become translucent like a cloud. As she began to fall, out of instinct, the only word she could think of, was what she yelled. The word was Dash. And the second it left her mouth, a somewhat strong gust of wind seemed to fling her back onto the platform. When she fell back onto the platform, she began to stand up. She felt like she had the wind knocked out of her, as she slowly managed to stand up and looked around. She felt somewhat...Drained, after the entire thing. It was as if energy had been drained.

Sean
As the scroll appeared before him, he took hold of it and tried reading it, looking over the many symbols and what appeared to be random marks to him. He struggled with the language, not being able to make any sense of it, but just looking over the letters anyway until he reached the end of the scroll. He didn't feel any different, nor did he feel smarter after the experience, no matter how many times he read over it. It made very little sense, and he sighed and rolled it up.
No luck here, it all looks like someone went crazy with an ancient pen.
He thought for a moment, wondering what to do.
I guess I'll hold onto it, might be a good idea to try and look up information on this language later and try again.... oooor, He looked around, maybe someone could help him with this. maybe... no, I'll do this myself later. Besides, looks like I'm not the only one struggling.
He looked at the man who just broke a piece of the platform with his fist, and stared nervously at him. He made a mental note to never get that guy angry, even though all he did was break glass.

Aiden, Kayla, and Zoe
Aiden ignored everything that was going on around him as he read the contents of the scroll. The shapes didn't make much sense to him, but he looked over them anyway. They suddenly seemed to leap off of the paper and float into the air. He watched the symbols, struck with curiosity as they began to spin around him, soon turning red and emitting heat. The symbols closed in as they spun, soon slamming into his skin and turning it a faint red color. Aiden's entire body instantly felt hot, and the wound on his arm felt as if it were literally on fire. It burned like crazy, and he wanted nothing more than to scream out in pain, but right before he did, his skin returned to normal and the heat was instantly gone. Unsure of what had just happened, he looked over to Kayla.
"Go," he said simply, while attempting to make sense of whatever had just happened to him. Judging by the sensation he had just felt, he assumed that he had learned some sort of fire spell.
"But..." Kayla began.
"Please."
"Alright, alright." Kayla pulled her scroll out of the air with shaking hands. She was still afraid, even after seeing that it was indeed legitimate, thanks to the bull-headed guy's smashing of the glass. She took a deep, hesitant breath, and unrolled the scroll, her eyes carefully tracing over each and every symbol. This didn't make any sense to her, and just as she was about to complain, the words started to glow a bright yellow. A trail of electricity, beginning from the scroll, shot up each of her arms, and then fizzled away around her heart. She felt a quick jolt of excitement, and then it was all gone, with only some sort of knowledge that she had just learned thunder magic remaining.

Once everyone had learned their spells, the disembodied voice returned.
Now, with your new tools, are you prepared to fight the darkness?
As if on cue, the same heartless from before, the Shadows, crept out from underneath the ground, while new ones, Virgos, materialized out of thin air.

Daylin
Daylin took a step back, holding his keyblade in front of him offensively. The shadow-bugs had sprung up from the floor again, and new winged creatures had appeared from thin air. They hovered in the air above the shadow-bugs stoically, a stupid smirk on their face. The mechanic's blood boiled at the sight of them. "Smug bastards!" Keyblade gripped tightly in both hands, he charged forwards.
He jumped as he reached the first shadow, vaulting over its head and swinging Last Judgement down at the creature. The monster vanished as his blade neared it, reappearing several feet behind him. He swore loudly, landing directly in the middle of the crowd of heartless. All eyes of the Shadows and Virgo were on him. The first shadow lunged forward at his chest and he batted it back, knocking it into another heartless. they both tumbled to the floor, but were right back on their feet instantly. "This was not one of my better plans. Little help?"
He knocked another back when it sliced at his leg, taking a step back and bumping into a shadow behind him. turning on his heels he swung at it, but the bug melted into the ground and slithered away. If he didn't get some help soon, he would have a lot more than a few bumps and scratches. "Really not one of my better ideas," he muttered to himself.

John Anderson
The voice once again sounds off, asking a rather rhetorical question. Afterwards more of the dark creatures appeared, including a new one with wings. John was a bit irritated with the mysterious voice at this point; its whole shtick was starting to get old. “What was the in asking if it was just gonna send these things anyway?" John rested his keyblade on his shoulder and looked over at the greasy guy who had just punched a hole through the platform. His hand was covered in blood obviously from the glass, he looked like he was out of breathe and the attacks from the shadows didn't seem to be helping. John called out to him. "Hey man, you still up to fight, you look a little worn out.“ Not wanting to take too much attention off from the enemy John turned back facing them.
John wondered what "magic" he had learned from the scroll, if any. He raised his hand aiming at one of the winged shadows, and then looked inside to try and recall how to use it. There was only one word that appeared in his head. “Aero." Upon using the word a ball of air formed in his palm and fired off towards the Virgo. The shot had too much force behind and knocked John to the ground. When it struck the Virgo it seemed to be knocked back but recovered rather fast. John felt a bit short of breathe but it was nothing serious, he rose to his feet dusting off his pants."Wooo, now that packs a punch."

Enerxia and Jade
Enerxia watched as more and more of the bug like creatures appeared, watching as a new type came forth from the ground. The new creature seemed to stem from a pot, and had two horrid wings protruding from its back. It had a twisted grin on its face, and two soulless eye's, that would seem to stare into one's very heart as it locked its gaze onto them. Enerxia watched as one of the others attempted to attack one of them, only to go straight through it, and land in the middle of a large group of the shadow like creatures.
She noticed as the heartless closed in on the other, who had landed themselves in the middle of the group, he seemed to call for help. She quickly attempted to comply, almost without thinking. She muttered a quick word, Dash, as she neared one of the smaller, bug like creatures. A quick blast of air from behind her shot out, and her position changed rapidly, closing the gap with the creature near instantly. Void's Touch appeared in an instance as she swung her arms, the blade cleaving through a line of the creatures. It didn't do much, only diminishing the three creature's size a bit. As the three bug like creatures turned around to face her, a small smirk appeared on her face. She called out to the other, just a few words. "I'm gonna try to keep these three away, but that's all I, myself, can do."
As the creatures began to approach her, they rapidly changed their pattern. Rather than simply walking in their hunched manner, they lunged at her. She spoke the word once more, Dash, and felt her energy be drained a bit more. A small burst of air seemed to jet out from in front of her, as she slid backwards. The creatures landed just a few feet in front of her, and continued their pursuit. As they began to lunge again, this time, she was a bit more...Ready. She didn't cast the spell again, she couldn't. Instead, she attempted to hit them out of the air mid lunge, slamming them into the ground. What she failed to remember in her smug attitude, was that the blade of this weapon, didn't simply slam into it. It would go through them, and purify darkness. It went clean through the first one, diminishing its size by a good bit, and scraped the side of the second one, only taking off a bit of the darkness. The third one, however, was unscathed, its lunge slamming straight into her as the sharp claws seemed to scratch at her chest.
Enerxia felt extreme pain as the beings claws cleaved into her skin, blood starting to trickle forth ever so slowly. As the being began to claw into her again, as if trying to latch on, Enerxia heard one word yelled. She heard Jade, Yell Thunder.
A mid sized lightning bolt seemed to streak out of nowhere, striking the heartless who had began to attack the young keyblade wielder, diminishing its size to near nothingness. As the creature began to get back on its feet, so did Enerxia. She swung Void's Touch, the blade cleaving into its side and diminishing it to near nothingness. She muttered a thanks to her friend, before looking at the other two heartless, who slowly began to inch forward again... She began to clutch her chest where the heartless had Slashed her, as if trying to at least lower her pain as she looked at her approaching enemies. It was going to be a...Rough, fight, to say the least.
Jade watched as the heartless continued to pop up from place to place, not helpless, but close to it. She felt...Tired, Drained almost. She felt like she could do that again, try and fire another bolt of electricity off...But, that was just the thing. That was all that she felt she could do, only once more. She slowly aimed her right arm towards one of the odd flying enemies that had surrounded one of the other wielders of the strange weapon, and muttered the one key word yet again. Thunder. Instantly, a lightning bolt seemed to shoot straight from her fingertips, slamming into one of the wings of the odd creature. It seemed to fall to the ground, as if that one wing had gone slightly limp. She muttered the word again, and again. But nothing came out. She felt completely drained... And unable to help, yet again... One word was repeated within her mind every second that ticked by where she couldn't fire another shot off. Useless.
[SIINTCA. And this is what happens, when a mage runs out of mana, and I run out of music.]

Sean
He took a few steps back, surprised at the new enemies before him. He readied his blade, and did the one thing he knew he must do... swing the weapon randomly and hope it hits something. Surprisingly enough, he actually managed to hit a few of the shadows and knock them around a bit, one or two fading into darkness. However, soon one of the new shadows appeared in front of him, seemingly staring him down. He let out what can only be described as a yelp, like a dog, and swiped at it, only for his keyblade to phase right through it.
WELL, there go my options.
It then slammed into him, but he quickly regained his feet. He looked around for a way to defeat these things, and noticed one of the people here summoned lightning from their fingertips and hit one of their wings, while shouting "Thunder!". He thought for a moment, and decided to try it as well, holding out his hand to the creature.
Go, lightning bolts of destructive...! Fate of... um... He paused, wondering what else to say. THUNDER CATS HOOOOO!
The heartless then slammed right into him, tired of his foolishness. He then looked around, seeing someone summon wind.
How are you people doing this?!
He then got hit again by the same heartless, and it was only then when he decided on one of the smartest decisions he has ever made to date.... running while screaming like a girl, only without the screaming.

Aiden, Kayla, and Zoe
"Seriously!? Our keyblades don't even work against these things!?" Aiden said, spinning around after he had just witnessed several others struggle against the new creatures. "How are we s-
"Aiden, look out!" Kayla shouted. As soon as he had turned around to face them, one of the Virgos had lunged after him.
"Water!" Zoe had reacted on instinct, holding her hands up and reciting one of the words that had been circling around in her head. She was thrown backward onto the ground as a powerful jet of water shot out from her hands. The water slammed into the heartless and sent it crashing to the ground.
Not taking the time to think about what had just happened, Aiden spun around to look at the creature as it writhed on the floor. He pointed his keyblade at it, and, attempting the same as Zoe, he whispered, "Fire." A ball of sizzling hot fire shot out of his keyblade and nailed the heartless square in the face, causing it to explode in a burst of dark smoke.

As soon as the fist Virgo was defeated, all of the other ones suddenly vanished, leaving only a few Shadows behind.

Daylin
The crowd had significantly thinned now, and Daylin had more of a chance to go on the offensive. He paused for a moment to catch his breath, then threw himself forward at two shadows, red-hot adrenaline coursing through his veins. The first one had already been hit once, apparently, because when he smashed it in the face, it dissolved into dust. He turned to face the second one just in time to avoid being stabbed in the back.
The mechanic did not take kindly to nearly being impaled, and he raised his keyblade and pointed one finger to the sky. "Outta the park!" He smashed the front of his weapon into the shadow, lifting it off its feet and sending it hurtling towards John. "Heads up rich boy!"

John Anderson
The shadows numbers were thinning, although it hadn't seemed like they had actually done much. John focused his attention to the Virgo he was fighting. He raised his hand prepared to blast another bolt of air at it. As he began to say the word to the spell, he heard the grease guy call out in his direction. When John turned to see what was going on, he saw a shadow flying straight towards him. With little time to react John held his keyblade is front of him once again saying the word, “Aero", but this time instead of a blast of air firing out, a gust of wind began to surround John. Only a few inches from his face, the shadow was suddenly repelled, launched up into the air. John looked toward the assailant, with a bit of contempt in his eyes. Without thinking about it John looked up toward the shadow as it began to descend overhead of John. He took his keyblade and thrust it toward the shadow, piercing the barrier of wind with surprising ease; he struck it through one of its eyes. The shadow burst into another black cloud, from the impact more white feathers had fallen out as well.
John fell on one of his knees as the wind barrier began to subside, he propped himself up with his keyblade. John began to look around for his Virgo, but it seemed to have disappeared. As John rose, ready to give the jerk who threw the shadow at him an earful, a chill went up his spine. The Virgo reappeared behind John wailing its claws, John jumped to the side in the attempt to make distance from the Virgo, but there wasn't enough time its claws already struck him in the side causing him to lost grip on his keyblade. It wasn't a deep wound, but blood had definitely been drawn, John held his side applying pressure and he stared at the Virgo. The creature of darkness stared back, with its yellow eyes, giving John a mocking grin. At this point John want nothing to do with this blasted dream anymore, he raised his hand to the Virgo who was just fluttering it wings back and forth as it was laughing at John. “Just piss off already!" letting out a mighty shot John gathered all his energy to form another aero, before screaming the out the spell. “Aero!" The blast wasn't as strong as the first time, but when it impacted the Virgo, it had pierced through it dissipating into a black cloud.
A small light flashed around John, and he was filled with a sudden burst of energy, but the feeling faded fast as the pain from John's wound hit him again. Small diamonds, with blue and yellow patches, appeared from thin air and began to circle John before falling into his pocket. John's breathe was ragged after casting the last aero, he slowly walked over to pick up his keyblade. John walked over to regroup with the other, using his keyblade as a cane to support himself. He kept pressure on the wound, when he saw the mechanic he gave a distasteful look. "Hey pal,...let me...know...when the next floor shows." John's voice began to fade as he talked, barely able to finish the sentence John collapsed onto the floor trying his best not to pass out.

The Shadows began to leave just as their numbers started to truly thin out. Once they had completely disappeared, the now likely familiar glass stairway materialized, leading up to the fourth (and final) floor.
Aiden, Kayla, and Zoe
"Blizzard!" Zoe shouted after she stood up, trying the other spell that she had learned. A cold blast of ice shot out from her outstretched hand and nailed one of the shadows. It suddenly seemed to slow down as the ice hit it, but Zoe herself began to feel weakened.
Taking over for her sister, and wanting to try the magic out for herself, Kayla pointed her keyblade at the sluggish Shadow and said, "Thunder."
A bright, hot thunderbolt shot out of her keyblade, hitting the heartless and immediately killing it. Once it was gone, she looked up to see that all of the other heartless had disappeared. Unable to fully take in everything that had just happened, the trio moved on towards the stairway.
"I hope this ends soon," Aiden mumbled.
(Apologies for late and rushed post, I'll try to be a little more consistent from now on.)

Jade and Enerxia
Jade watched as the shadow's seemed to lunge at Enerxia, before disappearing from existence entirely. She watched as the bug-like creatures began to melt into the ground, and leave reality, or whatever this was, for what she hoped was good. That was...The strange thing. All she could really do... Was watch. She attempted to step forward, and, she did, but it was almost...Sluggish. As if something she relied on, was missing. She made another step, and another. Not towards the stairs, no. She was walking towards Enerxia, her friend.
As Jade walked towards her friend, Enerxia seemed to change stances, a bit drastically. In a flash her Keyblade seemed to leave, as she moved her hands towards the wound on her chest. She placed her hand on the wound as the blood continued to come forth. There was one thing, that sort of... Jarred her from the whole thing. Not only did it hurt... It wasn't like a normal knife, or any sharp object had cut her. It was like something blunt, something, meant to cause pain, had dug into her skin... She started to walk, clutching her wound as she did so, blood slowly seeping through her clutch as she walked.
Jade finally caught up to her friend, her sluggish walk continuing. It was as if she was having to force herself to move... Enerxia's pace wasn't too fast either, especially as she went up the stairs. They didn't really...Speak, at first. It wasn't that they were mad, or even that they somehow knew the other's thoughts, nothing of the sorts, no reason for either had taken place. It was just that...Not only did they both have nothing to say, but, walking wasn't the easiest thing for either of them. They just slowly trudged up the steps side by side, the only noise coming from either of them, was their breathing and their footsteps.
[Siintca, sorry for the bad quality of post, wrote a post for this five times, and wasn't happy with any of them. This was the only one even close to 'okay'. I also, assume that the affects a lack of are much more drastic than for a keyblade wielder? Where the Keyblade wielder may feel slight discomfort, or just weakened, the mage who depends on mana, would feel those, and possibly more, no? ]

Daylin
Daylin smashed the final heartless that lunged at him into dust and whirled around, looking for another enemy. When he noticed that they had disappeared, he released and breath he hadn't known he had been holding, and his grip loosened on his keyblade. It had seemed pretty bad for a minute, but he had pulled through it relatively unharmed (with some help, of course) and the next stairway had appeared.
He walked towards the staircase, favoring his right leg heavily, and then noticed John groaning on the floor. He stuck his hand out, glancing at the others that were already up the staircase, and then back at the injured man. "Come on, stop acting like a little girl. We're falling behind." He motioned for the rich boy to take his hand, impatiently tapping his foot. He didn't want to run into trouble when it was just the two of them.

John's face was planted in the ground, the bleeding had stopped...for the most part. Though the pain was still there, he could feel it as begun to pick himself up. Someone had offered their hand to help John get up, after giving a rather rude comment, without thinking about it he took it and hoisted himself back on his feet. "Yeah, yeah. I hear you." When he saw who it was and got to his feet, he quickly took his hand back. John wasn't very fond of the mechanic, but sadly it seemed they were the only ones who didn't know someone they could talk with. John had calmed himself as his breathing became less ragged."Let’s just get this all over and done with." he let out along with a heavy sigh. There was still of grimace of pain on John's face, but he chose to ignore it as he scaled up the steps.

Sean kept swinging at the creature for a moment before it disappeared, as did the shadows surrounding everyone. He sighed, noticing the stairs that appeared before them hopefully leading to the last part, or better yet the exit. He checked himself for any broken bones, but his worst injuries consist of cuts and one or two bruises where that strange shadow tackled him. He felt like that creature was toying with him, like it held back knowing he was weak. He shrugged it off, that can be debated later. For now, it was time to move on to the next floor.

Just like it had done every single time before, the stairway disappeared. Then, once again, the disembodied voice spoke.
You eight have now taken the first steps necessary in defeating the darkness. It only gets more difficult from here, but for now, you shall return home. These are know as save points.
Several green pools of light suddenly appeared on the ground.
By standing on these, you will wake up in your world, but will only remember this one as if it were a hazy dream. You will return here soon, though, for your journey has just begun.
Aiden, Kayla, and Zoe
"Oh great, look, this floor is just like the others, except it's red," Aiden complained. Just as he said this, the voice spoke again.
"Looks like you spoke too soon," Kayla told him. Aiden didn't bother to respond, for he was just ready to leave. Out of the three of them, not a single one hesitated to follow the voices instructions of sorts. They were all ready to return home. Each of them stepped onto one of the green portals, and closed their eyes, wishing to wake up.
Aiden slowly opened his eyes, but quickly closed them as the sunlight peeked through the shades of his room and hit him in the face. What a weird dream he had just had....
He looked over at his alarm clock. It was 6:23 A.M. He had his job interview in just a little over an hour! He had to hurry and get dressed so that he could catch the subway, or he would be late. Aiden rolled over onto to his stomach, but had to stop as he tried to push himself up, pain shooting up through his left arm.
"What the hell?" There was a large gash on his upper left arm, covered in dried, sticky blood. His mind briefly flashed back to his dream, where he faintly remembered getting cut in the same exact place. Could that dream have been... real?

Daylin
Daylin sat up and rubbed the sleep from his eyes,groggily staring at the clock. Sirens began to blare in his head when he realized what time it was, and he flew off the couch. "Shiit!" He was late for work! Grabbing his jacket and wrestling it onto his shoulders, he flew through the front door, keys in hand. His boss was gonna kill him!
He nearly tore the driver side door off his truck he pulled it open, hastily shoving the key into the ignition and squealing at of the parking lot at highly illegal speeds. Even with him swerving through traffic like a maniac (and giving several old people a few choice words about going so slow), he was nearly twenty minutes late. He tried to slip into the shop unseen, but a hand caught his shoulder on his way into the backroom.
"Boy, you're late!"
"I know, I overslept, I'm sorr-"
"You get in a fight with someone kid?"
Daylin was confused for a moment, then he realized what his boss was talking about. His shoulder was stained with blood, the fabric torn and the cut already slightly scabbed over. His knee was less noticeable, but definitely the more painful of the two. He couldn't think for a minute. What... Had that... This was some Freddy Krueger shiit right here.
"Boy?"
"Oh, uh, no I fell down the stairs at my apartment."
His boss looked at him suspiciously, then shook his head. "Get that cleaned up then get to work, Vick needs a hand with that Mustang's engine." Daylin nodded, then rushed off to get his shoulder cleaned and get to work. He couldn't afford to think about that stupid dream right now, he needed this job.

John shot up from his bed in a cold sweat, he looked side to side seeing he was back in his room. John flopped back down on his bed, feeling was exhausted and breathing ragged. John cringed in pain as he felt his side, there were claw marks on his side, when he flipped the sheets off himself to see the bed, there was a pool of blood around. John hurriedly got out bed running tot he bathroom. He found some gauze and bandages, and wrapped it around his side. He splashed some cool water on his face, before dropping back into his bed reflecting on what must have been a dream.

Jade
Jade examined the odd light, slowly walking towards it as the voice spoke. As she stepped into the swirling light, her consciousness seemed to slip away... Which, was sort of ironic, considering she was about to wake up. She slowly woke up, taking her face off the keyboard she had fallen asleep on. She got up and stretched a bit, looking at the clock... It read 6:30... 'Tch...It's a bit early to start working on that project...But...The early bird gets the worm...?' And without really another thought, she sat back down, and began to type away on her keyboard.
Enerxia
Enerxia seemed to limp towards the light, before her consciousness slipped away. She awoke her room, in her bed, and looked around. She felt like she had been sweating for the entire night. She felt an odd pain in her chest, as if she had been cut. Fuzzy memories of the fight within the dream, where the shadow had cut her. She felt...Afraid. Of what had happened... Because...Had what happened in the dream... Happened in real life...? Questions began to rush into her mind. There was...One thing, that took precedence. She quickly, or rather, sluggishly, made her way to where they kept the gauze, and did her best to patch herself up. She seemed to walk back to her room. Without even looking at her clock, she crawled back into her bed, and made her best attempts to drift back into sleep... This time, hopefully it would be a peaceful sleep.

He woke up with a start and looked around, he was back in his room. He looked at the clock and noticed that he slept in a bit. Crap... now he has two hours before he has to start working. He prefers getting up at 4:00, but apparently that was so vivid a dream that it took an extra two hours to finish. His room has papers scattered about on any surface available, his desk, the walls, the bookshelf, the dresser, and even the floor. He sketched a lot of them based on his dreams, and while that dream was a bit boring compared to his other dreams he had lately, it did give him an idea for a few ideas for designs, and on that note he starts to draw some of the characters he's seen in his dreams, including their keyblades, but only roughly sketching them since he still has to worry about food and a shower.
Maybe I can show these designs to my friend over at Square Box, he's been wanting a few new ideas for a game they're developing soon.
He remembered it had something to do with lions and chainsaws, but he can send these later, because right now food is the top priority now that he's done drawing.

TIME SKIP: It is now nighttime.
A letter has been placed in a location where each character is guaranteed to see it, yet no one can be seen or heard delivering it. Other than the piece of paper intentionally left behind, no other traces of the deliverer can be found. The letter reads:
Dear [Name],
We know about the strange dream you had last night, only, it was not a dream.
What you encountered in your sleep last night was indeed real, for you are what we call a Traveler,
someone who, upon going to sleep, can transport their consciousness to other universes, where it will then take a bodily form.
When you travel, your actual body remains here on Earth,
but you fall into a coma-like state until reaching a save point and waking up.
Your real body will indeed sustain any injuries that the body you have when traveling obtains.
Do not worry, time does not flow the same in each world as it does here,
but for now, until you are taught to control your ability,
it might be safe to go to sleep fully clothed, as for the time being what you will wear when you travel,
which is guaranteed to happen again tonight, will be what your wear in the other world.
When you wake from your travel, your journey will seem but merely a dream, but when you travel again,
you will receive all of your memories from both Earth and the worlds to which you have previously traveled.
This likely all sounds absurd to you, but do not be afraid, for the light is on your side.
We will meet soon.
