Title: Pokémon Universe Soundtrack Album
Post by: Hiteryan on July 20, 2015, 07:30:34 pm
Pokémon Universe Original Soundtrack!

Given the current state of things, I figured I'd release an album with most of the music I've composed for the game during the last years.

Yes 30 tracks of pokeyman goodness. Something to come out of this whole ordeal.

You can download it for free at: http://hiteryan.bandcamp.com/

If you've got a Last.fm account, the album is scrobbleable as well!

Enjoy!

Thanks Hiteryan, definitely downloading this. I think I can hear quite a bit of influence from the gen 3 music(R/S/E more than FR/LG), which was probably my favorite out of all the games in the series. I think Big Dark Spooky Dungeon was probably my favorite out of the bunch. I don't think there are really any songs in there that I disliked. The music was very well done; it had that Pokemon vibe, but it was original and didn't sound like you were just directly copying the music from the games.

Thanks man! Yes, originally most of my inspiration came from RSE, and then I followed suit for the rest of the soundtrack.

It's funny that you mention Big Dark Spooky Dungeon, I had already composed the song back in 2013 but only the acoustic guitar. I actually composed the rest of the song really quickly in a rush just a week ago when I realised I'd release the album. Pulled an all nighter for it and it was done :p

I want to download it and listen to it with Roloc and our kids in the car, but our internet is so slow, maybe I'll have Roloc download it while he's at work :D

How slow? I consider my 4mbps internet slow and i could download it in less than half an hour.

Awesome Hitey! I have been waiting for this for a long time you know! Thanks for all the hard work you've put up into this up to now.

EDIT: I know the 10 euros I bought it for is not much, but hope that helps! Any chance for a hardcopy? :P

Oh wow haha it does help! I've thought of eventually doing a hard copy for my own just for kicks, but now you've made me want to make one for you LOL (you're my first buyer!)

Seeing as I haven't had any other purchases that's a tad hard for me to do, but at least for now you have my eternal gratitude if that counts for anything :P thank you genbor!

You might want to think about putting these up on OverClocked ReMix (http://ocremix.org/) for some more publicity. Last.fm, Bandcamp and Soundcloud are good and all, but it might help to put it on somwhere that's more specialized in video game music. Despite it's name there are lots of original songs as well, not just remixes.
