News & Announcements / Re: [NEWS] Private Pre-Beta 2.0
« on: March 30, 2010, 09:35:18 PM »
It's nice too see everyone so excited about this! So when we play the game, are there any plans for what we do, or is it just like, "Okay, here's the game. Now go play it."?

You're supposed to look for bugs and report them in the "Bugs & Error" section of the forum.

I'm gonna have to say wobuffet.  It's a pokemon that forces you to use a set movelist and that's, for lack of a better word, crapty imo.

You have no idea what kind of hell Wobuffet can bring you.

You got that right.  :-X

General Chat / Re: What pokemon would you choose for your team?
« on: March 29, 2010, 08:12:24 PM »
Hmm.. I have different teams but the one I'm thinking of using in the beginning is:

1. Magnemite x2 - My favorite electric-type, part steel-type
3. Forretress - Powerful Pokemon - will learn the useful move called Toxic Spikes
4. Onix - Will eventually evolve to Steelix, a powerful steel-type
5. Scyther - Great attacks and looks cool  :P
6. Koffing - Strong poison attacks. Evolves to one of my favorites, Weezing!

Nice teams everybody.

Welcome, PokeRoach.

PS. i have all of the pokemon games for handheld from the original gameboy versions all the way to heartgold. and most of them have either complete/near complete pokedex databases. yes, i truly was a pokenerd back in the days of the Gameboy-Gameboy Color pokemon games.

Wow! That's quite the accomplishment. I'm impressed. Are you prepared to start a new journey!?

New Trainers / Welcome / Re: New Trainer

Hi.

What's going on..... ummmmm..... not a whole lot. The second pre-beta is going to be released to a selected few on April 1st. Besides that, nothing.

What's up with you?

Second:
We believe a lot of people have a wrong image with this pre-beta. We suspect they think the first part of the worldmap is near done and everything can be done (like all buildings can be entered and all cities/towns are done) and it all looks pretty sweet (like the screenshots we posted).

I have the same feeling. And it really sucks to disappoint. This game still needs a ton of work and I hope everyone understands that. The last thing I want is for the testers to go into the game thinking this is the best Pokemon game ever, see what it really is, get bored, and leave.  :-\

Anime & Movies / Re: What is your Fav Pokemon Trainer ??
« on: March 28, 2010, 08:40:25 PM »
Mine is Nando.  :)

He's my favorite trainer because of his personality - Nando is a gentle and caring person - much like I am. Plus Nando is skilled in both Pokemon battles and Pokemon contests.

My second favorite Pokemon trainer is Jasmine.

Jasmine is my favorite gym leader, and like Nando, she has a very good heart and she is very skilled at Pokemon battling. Also, she specializes in training steel-types - which is one of my favorite types of Pokemon.

I have other favorite trainers, but these are my top 2.

EDIT:

I remember back when I first joined PU, our very first sprite artist, Ilsu, was running out of ideas for sprites, so he asked me to give him any random picture and he would make a sprite out if it for the game. Naturally I picked Nando and he made this:

Pretty cool, huh? I'm not sure if we'll be able to use this sprite in the game, since this was done about a year ago and a lot has changed. Just thought I'd share with you guys.  :)

General Chat / Re: LUGIA OR HO-OH: Important question!
« on: March 26, 2010, 01:32:49 AM »
After extensive and thorough research into both Pokemon, I have come to the conclusion that the most awesomest of the two would have to be Ho-oh.

Other Games / Re: Call of duty mw2

I've seen a lot of gameplay videos of MW2 on YouTube. It looks like a really fun game. Too bad I don't own any of the new consoles (PS3, Xbox, etc). If I did, I would definitely buy the game!

One question though, is it true that all the guns (or most) have very low recoil?
