Personally I think making a pokemon MMO is not the best idea anymore. Nintendo is fairly strict and having your game shut down after all the blood, sweat, and tears would be pretty horrible(and not to mention possibly very costly).

I would love to work on a turn based monster fighting MMO ,but would definitely want it to be original content. Think along the same line as pokemon ,but a bit more grown up. I think their is a very real market for a game like that ,but using pokemon's name is just to risky in my opinion.

So it has happened then. Well this has been a long time coming I would say. I loved playing on the balance server when it was still going ,and I learned so much their from Roloc and the others about competitive pokemon. Hope the site gets turned into something decent!

Because of how many people have used it and say its out classed by other characters.
 Go watch twitch.

How is that a good reason? People saying something is bad in a game that is not even released yet is dumb. He might not be good at all ,but you can't assume he is the worst especially since only a few people can play the game right now.

@Flamelass
Ending lag is the amount of time it takes for a character to be able to attack after a movement. I was mostly referring to the way some of the characters have weird landing animations that use a lot of frames.  In brawl I think most people could begin attacking after 4 frames while a few others had to wait longer. Ganondorf's used more frames than normal  which really helped him become one of the weakest characters.  I should have been more specific  , my bad flamelass.

How do we know greninja is bad?

Speaking of balance I wonder how different the Wii-U version will be from the 3 DS one? Some animations, sizes, and weight will likely be different on the Wii-U version I imagine. I noticed some of the characters have huge ending lag ,but I think this will be corrected in the Wii-U version. Greninja's aerial smash attacks have weird ending lag on them ,but his animations look smoother in what we have seen of his wii-U game play. Only time will tell but I think the wii-u version will play differently.

A lot of people have already posted who they will be playing.

I'm excited to see that Nintendo will be releasing patches for the game. Some of those patches being toning down characters and others being toned up. I like balance patches so that characters are not op for the life of the game.

Where did they say this at? I believe you ,but I want to read it my self. Remember how Pokemon X/Y was going to get patches ,but it sort of turned out to be nothing.

The 3DS one does not interest me much either. I feel like some of the hit boxes and movements on the 3DS version aren't so great ,but that is probably just me.  I am how ever excited to see if there is a "play huge amount of hours" character. Like mewtwo you needed to win 700 matches or have a 20 hour long match in vs mode. I am pretty that was what you needed to do at least. I am beginning to doubt there being any more characters for the 3DS version how ever.

Link seems super fluid and mario is looking good as well. Mega man has a ton of ranged attacks so that might make him near impossible to defeat for those who lack a way to deal with that. Reflects should be able to really hinder him though.

Ganondorfs custom moves give him a sword so that is really cool , I know a lot of people have been wanting that. I am super excited for custom moves although I have not found many people testing them out on twitch. They say "Not going to mess with custom moves right now just going to get right to it" so I have not found many vids showing them.  I found this clip of link's bomb custom not sure if it is real though http://i.minus.com/iAq2uU6K9LPtQ.gif

Who do you think you will be playing a lot of?  I think I will be playing a lot of Peach,Jigglypuff, and zero suit again with Paulatina added to my list.

I love that stage girahim is on!

I think the feature I mentioned is something a bit different than amiigo. It seems like you can customize your character in a few different ways this time around. This is why people like paulatina have 3 different upward recovery attacks ,but only one can be used at a time.

Very hyped over Palutena.

Have y'all seen the new move modify thing? It had a picture of mario doing a small fast fire ball, his normal fire ball ,and then a big slow one. If you watch the new character reveal they all have a lot of big flashy moves and appear very mobile but this is just do to them showing all 3 up+B and what not.

Well salamence and blazekin are both very popular pokemon ,so a mega only makes sense for them.

What I really want to know is why slowbro, altaria, audino, kanga, medicham, and abomosnow all got megas? These pokes are not super popular ,and none of them have really made waves in the competitive scene. Some that I listed make more sense than others ,but look at audino for example. Nothing is very unique about her ,and we have many pink cleric style pokemon already. So why a mega? Weavile, flygon, dragonite, arcanine, and many others are extremely popular so you would expect them to get megas. The way the new megas get chosen is such a mystery to me.

I think you forgot ninetails. It makes for a great special wall and can be quit crippling due to will o wisp and confuse ray.

I am not sure you would call ninetails a special wall though , it is more of a utility poke if anything.

I really do not think Delphox is that strong though.

It looks like the legendarys did some new form of battle evolution at the end, The megas look really nice in game.

I really do not think delphox is over powered in the slightest. Crunch,EQ,and stone edge are so common ,and with her low physical defense most of the time these moves kill her.

Non stab 100 base attack(fully invested) no item EQ does  "89.7 - 106.1%" to it.

What do you suggest happen to her though? If you re-arrange her stats she could be a pretty good special wall ,and right now there is no fire special wall. Just throwing out ideas.

Edit: Forgot to talk about the terrain moves!

I think 10 turns is pretty fair since the boost does help both teams. Unlike weather were the boost might only be helping your team 1/16th of your hp each turn (grass terrain) actually helps just about every poke.

I heard eating stuff like sweet fruits can attract them to you. That makes since ,because people often smell like what they eat so really strong scents like garlic repel them. Could be a wives tale though.

In other news have any of you opened a fortune cookie lately? They have gotten so ridiculous and are always positive. I bet the negative fortune cookies had to go due to some people complaining about a negative one coming true or something. What ever happened it is so stupid! These are the ones I got a few nights ago that I have not thrown away yet:

"God will give you everything that you want."
God I want negative fortune cookies back!

"You are gifted in many ways"
THIS IS NOT EVEN A FORTUNE

"You are going to have a very comfortable old age"

"You will take a chance in something in near future"
I know it has a grammar error ,but I like this one. It is not super positive ,and it is cryptic like I think fortune cookies should be.

Sadly I only had 4 examples at my computer ,but all the cookies in the past year have been like that. It just makes me wonder what happened to the cryptic and sometimes very negative fortune cookies.
