Pokedex Entries / [Pokedex Entry] Cubone
« on: June 30, 2014, 06:01:00 PM »
Pokemon #104, Cubone, Ground type, Lonely pokemon.

Intro: Cubone is a small pokemon that is best known for the skull it carries around on its head and the accompanying bone club. Cubone is a small bipedal, brown pokemon with a cream belly. It has two arms, one of which is always carrying a club. It has a large skull it carries around on its head. There are no records of what its head looks like below the skull. It also has a small tail, and may or may not have two spikes on its head as indicated by the skull.

Habitat: Cubone were originally found in the old Pokemon Tower in Kanto. After the demolition of the old tower, the inhabiting Cubone fled to the nearby Rock tunnel. From there, they migrated and now populate many caves and mountains.

Diet: Cubone’s main diet consists of mushrooms. It evolved this diet due to the mushrooms being the only available source of nutrients in the old Pokemon Tower. After they migrated to the caves, Cubone expanded their diet with cave-mosses and other plants. They will also happily eat berries and typically all other pokemon food, which are easily digestible by all pokemon.

Biology: Cubone is a pokemon that is traumatized by the loss of its mother, whose skull it apparently wears throughout its life. At night, Cubone cry at the moon to mourn the loss of their mother, whom they appear to recognise in the moon. During the full moon, the howls are especially mournful, and the skull resonates with the cries, emanating ominous sounds.
It is speculated that a Cubone is born whenever a Kangaskhan dies and leaves behind its young. After the loss of its mother, the young will begin wearing the mother’s skull, as if to always have a part of his mother with him. This is suspected because young Kangaskhan never leave their mother’s side. Additionally, Cubone are reminiscent of young Kangaskhan. Finally, the fact that all Cubone have lost their mother, and none are ever seen with a parent, strengthens this theory.
In combat, Cubone and their evolution Marowak wield two unique moves, Bone Club and Bonemerang. Especially Bonemerang is a powerful move which is often chosen over Earthquake due to its ability to break a substitute and still deal damage to the opponent.
Some Cubone wear an especially powerful version of their regular club, a thick club. This thick club doubles the attack power of Cubone (and Marowak), and boosts their power well beyond what most other pokemon can achieve.

Pokemon League Commission notes:
Class D: Since the migration out of the Old Pokemon Tower, Cubone have become plentiful enough to not require any protective legislation. Poaching Cubone for their skulls, however, is highly illegal and punishable with a sizable fine and several years to decades in prison.

Ideas & Suggestions / pokedex entries have been moved
« on: June 17, 2014, 10:02:34 PM »
Just so people know, Xetroc has moved the pokedex entries to a child board so I could become its mod. So the coming weeks I'll be working on improving abandoned entries and of course write new ones. (I'll try to do a new one every week, but I can't make promises.)

Pokedex Entries / [Pokedex Entry] Shellder
« on: June 11, 2014, 07:13:41 PM »
Pokemon #090, Shellder, Water type, Bivalve pokemon.

Intro: Shellder is a common water-type pokemon that is quite often fished up in the Kanto region. It has a purple shell that opens horizontally, with two spikes on top and two on the bottom. Inside the shell are its black, pearl-like body with two big white eyes and its trademark tongue.

Habitat: Shellder lives solely in saline water and in caves surrounded by it. It is often encountered by fishers who cast their hook at the pier. The Seafoam Islands are a good example of non-submerged habitat of Shellder.

Diet: Shellder has quite a non-specific diet, and will eat any small sea-creature that passes by.

Biology: The shell-pokemon is quite cheeky, and is more often than not seen with his tongue stuck out of his mouth, taunting anyone who happens to be nearby. This tongue is actually quite well developed, and is used to bury itself in the sand and to taste and catch oncoming prey with great accuraty. Shellder has a preference for specific tastes. One of the more unique favored flavors is the liquid that drips from the tail of a Slowpoke. Shellder loves this taste and will bite the tail, somehow triggering evolution in itself and in the subject Slowpoke. During evolution, it changes form to a spiral, spiky shell, though it retains the cry it has prior to evolution. Shellder can also attach to the head of a Slowpoke if it is wearing a King's Rock. In this case, Shellder undergoes the same transformation on Slowpoke's head, evolving into Slowking instead. After evolution, Shellder will inject its poison into Slowking's head, which actually boosts its intelligence. It will do this whenever the Slowking yawns.
Shellder can also evolve into Cloyster when exposed to a water-stone.
Shellder is well-known for its ability to produce beautiful pearls. These pearls often fetch a decent price if sold to a specialist.
Disregardless of what most people think, Shellder in captivity do not produce pearls. The production of pearls requires almost absolute peace and quiet, which is impossible to obtain for Shellder that battle regularly.
During battle, Shellder uses mostly water and ice-type moves. Its trademark moves are Clamp and Icicle Spear. Shellder exposes its soft inside body while clamping, and will naturally only use this move as a last resort. Icicle Spear is a move that hits 2-5 times, but some Shellder are so skilled with this move that they will always hit all 5 times.
Shellder moves in water by facing backwards and opening and closing its shell to create a current. Its speed is higher than initially expected.

Pokemon League Commission notes:
Class D. Catching Shellder is not restricted by any laws or regulations.

Pokedex Entries / [pokedex Entry] magneton
« on: May 19, 2014, 07:47:28 PM »
Pokemon #082, Magneton, Electric/Steel type, Magnet Pokemon.

Intro: Magneton is the evolved version of Magnemite, which can also occur when three individual Magnemite become one. Magneton is litterally three Magnemite fused together, linked in a triangle formation. For more details on individual appearances of Magnemite, see the respective entry.

Habitat: Magneton is rarely found in areas with high energy potential, such as densely populated cities, power plants and locations with geo-magnetic fields such as chargestone caverns.

Diet: Magneton can sustain itself by draining energy from various sources such as lightning, power plants, houses, etc. It is also able of consuming regular pokemon foods, although the method of consumption is not well understood.

Magneton's individual brains communicate by magnetic waves. The brainwaves have completely synchronized, leaving no trace of individuality between individual units. In case of Magneto being formed through the fusion of three separate Magnemite, their personalities are lost during evolution.
Magneton is able to use his magnetic powers to fully ignore the pull of gravity. Ironically, this has not led to the ability levitate, which would make Magneton immune to Ground-type moves. In order to achieve levitation during combat, the move Magnet Rise is necessary. It is unknown why Magneton is able to levitate freely at any time except during combat.
Magneton are capable of storing vast amounts of electricity. They are also capable of wireless energy transfer, and can use this ability to drain buildings and power plants from their energy at a safe distance. In certain cases, people have reported random blackouts of singular houses, without ever having seen a culprit. It may have been one or more Magneton in such a case.
Although Magneton are completely mechanical pokemon, they are capable of emotions and can feel empathy towards others. Magneton are able to form a strong emotional bond with their trainer, although it doesn't have a way to physically express this.
The presence of a strong geo-electrical or geo-magnetic field can cause Magneton to evolve into Magnezone.

Pokemon League Commission notes:
Class D: Magneton is a relatively uncommon pokemon in areas where Magnemite appear. However, Magneton is not so rare that the PLC deems additional legislation necessary.

Pokedex Entries / [Pokedex Entry] Cleffa
« on: May 12, 2014, 05:53:27 PM »
Pokemon #173, Cleffa, Normal Type, Star-shape pokemon.

Intro: Cleffa is the pre-evolved version of Clefairy. Cleffa looks somewhat like a star, with its two pink pointy legs, its pink twirl and its two brown horn-like appendages. It has two pointy arms without digits, and a pink, thick and twirly tail. It has two small, beady eyes, a tiny mouth and what seems to be a permanent blush. Cleffa is considered to be amongst the most adorable pokemon in the world.

Habitat: Cleffa is barely ever seen in any environment. It is speculated that populations are amongst those of Clefairy, but Cleffa has as of yet only been observed at Mt. Coronet.

Diet: Cleffa's natural feeding habits have not been observed, but they are known to eat regular poke-foods such as poffins, rare candies, pokebock and others.

Biology: Cleffa is a pokemon that is said to have arrived on a shooting star. When a meteor strikes somewhere, the chance of finding Cleffa rises exponentially. It is not known whether Cleffa are drawn to meteor strikes, or whether a new Cleffa reachers earth with said meteor strike. Amusingly, Cleffa and its family are able to learn the move Meteor Mash, which hints towards its extraterrestrial origins.
When a night is particularly full of falling stars, Cleffa are said to dance the night away, only stopping at daybreak to quench their thirst with morning dew.
In certain regions, Cleffa cannot be found although Clefairy can be. It is thought that Cleffa live a sheltered life away from human activity untill they are old enough and have evolved. The only way to obtain this pokemon for trainers is to breed Clefairy.
This way of obtaining Cleffa is somewhat contradictory. Cleffa only evolves into Clefairy at a certain level of friendship and bonding. Additionally, there are not items required for Cleffa to be the offspring of Clefairy, which is needed for pokemon such as Munchlax, Azurill, etc. One would on the ground of these observations, expect wild populations to be full of Cleffa rather than Clefairy. It is hypothesized that Cleffa can evolve into Clefairy after reaching the same level of bonding with its parents, as it would with a trainer. This would explain the lack of Cleffa in most environments.

Pokemon League Commission notes:
Class F. Although Cleffa can be obtained in the wild very rarely, the PLC has judged breeding to be the most viable way of obtaining Cleffa, with all others being negligible.

Pokedex Entries / [Pokedex Entry] Aerodactyl
« on: May 07, 2014, 08:41:32 PM »
Pokemon #142, Aerodactyl, Rock/Flying type, Fossil pokemon.

Intro: Aerodactyl was an extinct pokemon that was revived using DNA extracted from Old Amber. These days, Aerodactyl are a rare sight amongst elite trainers, and some can even be found in certain regions very rarely. Aerodactyl is a large grey pokemon with purple wings membranes. It has two wings with small, three-fingered hands close to the end, as well as two two-toed legs and a long tail with a arrow-head shaped end. Aerodactyl’s mouth is rather large, and is filled with razor-sharp teeth. It has two spike-shaped protrusions on the back of its head.

Habitat: Though Aerodactyl is officially regarded as extinct, fervent trainers have released many newborn Aerodactyl into the wild after breeding. These pokemon now find their home in mountainous regions.

Diet: Aerodactyl’s is primarily carnivorous, and will use its fangs to rip apart prey to consume its meat. However, it will also happily eat some fruits, so it’s not completely carnivorous.

Biology: Aerodactyl is amongst the fastest pokemon in the world. With its light-weight build and its powerful wings, it is able to reach speeds that even legendary pokemon cannot match. In ancient times, its unmatched speed made it the King of the skies.
Aerodactyl’s entire build seems made for hunting. Its serrated teeth are ideal for ripping apart prey, its talons and sharp claws can pick up most animals, and its powerful wings can carry them very far. In combination with its speed, most prey were incapable of escaping.
In ancient times, Aerodactyl glided through the air while screeching high-pitched cries most of the time, striking fear into any prey below it.
Under the influence of Aerodactylite, Aerodactyl can Mega-evolve into Mega-Aerodactyl.
Mega-Aerodactyl’s build is roughly that of Aerodactyl, but it has rock-like protrusions all over its body. Especially its hands have been replaced by large rocks. The rocks come from its wings, back, tail, chin and the back of its head. Its eyebrows are also thicker and black, and three stripes have appeared on its chest. Mega-Aerodactyl boasts the rare ability Though Claws, which increases the power of all contact moves considerably.
It is quite difficult to identify the parts of Aerodactyl that make it a rock-type. After closer inspection, it was discovered that Aerodactyl’s skin is rough like sandpaper. Though the texture gives it higher aerodynamic properties, it also grants a weakness to water, as is usual with rock-types.

Pokemon League Commission notes:
Class F. Aerodactyl is regarded unobtainable through regular means. A trainer may find an Old Amber in the Sinnoh underground, Mount Moon or another site, and resurrect it with modern technology according to the regular PLC guidelines.  All resurrected pokemon need to be registered in order to keep track of them.

Quests & Plots / [Quest] The revival of an Ancient Civilisation
« on: April 11, 2014, 03:02:49 PM »
Part 1: Obtaining access to the ancient ruins!

You start out at a archeologist who blocks the way to ancient ruins. When you speak to him:

Whoa, whoa, whoa, where do you think you’re going? We don’t just let anyone visit these ruins! People with no heart for archeology would only damage these ruins. If you want to show your dedication to archeology, go fill this up *He gives you a pokedex upgrade for individual Unown forms*. If you manage to catch and index all 28 Unown, I’ll acknowledge you as an archeologist and grant you access to these ancient ruins!

Are you kidding me?! All 28 Unown? Forget it…
Answer: Well, you’re not getting in until you do.
Well, I guess I’d better get started…
Answer: Good luck with your efforts!

Near the ancient ruins, the Unown shrine can be found with different levels of Unown, and different rarities of letters. Catching all of them will be quite the arduous task.

Once you have completed the Unown Pokedex:
Hey, very well done kid, this must’ve taken you quite a while huh? When someone puts in this much effort, just to see these ruins, I can’t help but oblige! I hereby grant you access to the ancient ruins!
Be wary of what you find inside. Great tragedy has befallen this civilisation, and you will find human remains inside, as well as traces of the causes of death. You can also find Natu in the patch of grass, which is a good pokemon, if you want to learn more about what happened. Its evolved form even see where the most important events happened.

On the ruins site, there will be 5 small pyramids that are empty inside, and one big pyramid that is inaccessible. When you have Xatu, it will emerge from its pokeball and follow you around inside the ruins site. When you enter the small pyramids, Xatu will walk to the middle and gaze intently. If you talk to Xatu, the following prompts will appear depending on the pyramid:
Xatu is staring into the past. It appears a great tragedy has befallen the people inside this pyramid. The markings on the wall indicate that there once was a great flood...
Xatu is staring into the past. It appears a great tragedy has befallen the people inside this pyramid. The damage to the entrance show it was once blocked by a big boulder, before the pyramid ceiling collapsed...
Xatu is staring into the past. It appears a great tragedy has befallen the people inside this pyramid. The floor of the pyramid appears to have caved in at one time, burying the people inside...
Xatu is staring into the past. It appears a great tragedy has befallen the people inside this pyramid. The inside of the pyramid appear undamaged. Upon closer inspection, the walls appear to be flawless. The people trapped inside had no way of leaving…
Xatu is staring into the past. It appears a great tragedy has befallen the people inside this pyramid. Many thick vines grow in this cave. A sudden burst in growth would leave the people inside trapped...
When you have investigated all the pyramids, the archeologist will talk to you

“I see you’ve investigated all the ruins. I can tell you that these ruins were once populated by a great people. Calamity befell them after an earthquake and a flood, which caused all civilians to lose their lives in several circumstances. Upon losing his people, the King took his own life… It’s a great loss to this world that we no longer have these people. If only there was a way to go back in time to save them…”

If you have completed the quest chain [Celebi, Guardian of the Ancient Forest], you can start the second part of this quest.

The second part of this quest will start when you travel to Celebi’s Shrine in the Ancient Forest. After hearing the story of the Archeologist, Celebi will be waiting for a second adventure with you! If you talk to Celebi, you will get the following message:
“Celebi is looking into your eyes, and you feel like it wants to go to the Ancient Ruins. Have Celebi Teleport you to the Ruins?”
Yes (Quest part 2 will start)
No (Nothing happens)

Part 2 of the Quest: Saving the people!
Celebi will follow you inside the ruins. If you try to leave the Ruins site with Celebi, you will get the following message:

“Celebi only wants to see the ruins. Do you really want to leave the ruins?”
Yes (Celebi will return to Celebi’s Shrine)
No (You turn around and stay inside the ruins site)

If you have Xatu with you, it will also follow you. A small skit between Celebi and Xatu will start, which you cannot understand. They then both follow you around. If you enter a small pyramid, Xatu will do its routine of standing in the middle, but Celebi will talk to you:

“Celebi! Cel Celebi Celebi! Celebi Celebi?”
Yes (You will time-travel with Celebi to the past, at the time of the tragedy)
No (Nothing happens untill you exit and re-enter the small pyramid)

Depending on which small pyramid you entered, different requirements are necessary to progress the quest. The following happens in each of the pyramids. In any case, travelling to the past will cause a timer of 10 minutes to start running. If time passes, you will get the following message:

“Sensing the great calamity about to befall the people in here, Celebi quickly travels you and your pokemon back to safety. You did not succeed at rescue, but you may try again later.”

Pyramid:

You end up on a small island with a small crowd of people. Water is running in from the inside of the pyramid. If you try to use Surf, a prompt will appear:
“As you step on [Pokemon using Surf], the crowd of people tries to get onto [Pokemon using Surf]. The following two things can happen:
[Pokemon using Surf] is not big enough (Smaller than Lapras) to hold all the people, and starts sinking. You end up in the water, and start getting dragged down by struggling people. Celebi quickly rescues you and travels back to the present.
[Pokemon using Surf] is more than big enough (At least as big as Lapras) to hold all people. You safely manage to get all people out of the pyramid. You are thanked excessively, and the leader of the people apologizes for his people’s behaviour. You are given [5 Gold Nuggets]. Celebi travels back to the present.
If the second option happened, the Pyramid will be restored and will have people living in there. One of them will sell you berries cheaply, and one will say: “We are descendants of the last people surviving the Great Calamity. We’re struggling to keep our people alive from day to day…” (since you have only saved people from 1 pyramid)

2.   You find yourself inside a semi-collapsed cavern. There is a small cutscene that shows the pyramid rumbling. There are about 20 people inside. The exit is blocked by a huge rock. If you examine it, and you have a pokemon with just Strength or just Rock Smash, the following prompts will appear:
[Pokemon using Strength] uses Strength. The rock is way too big to just move out of the way…
[Pokemon using Rock Smash] uses Rock Smash. The rock is too sturdy. Your pokemon is smashing the rock with all its might, but you seem to be making little progress…
Doing these will not get you and the people out of the cave, and time will run out, forcing Celebi to bring you back to the present.
[Pokemon with Strength and Rock Smash] can use both Rock Smash and Strength. Would you like to try and use both at once?
[Pokemon’s strength is less than 200]: Your pokemon uses both moves, and manages to get the rock out of place a bit. However, since it’s not strong enough, it can’t get through fast enough… The rock crumbles above you… Celebi brings you back to the present.
[Pokemon’s strength is more than 200]: Your pokemon combines both moves, and with an enormous blow, smashes the huge rock out of the way!!! You clear the way for the people inside, who flee quickly. Just after you exit the Pyramid, the entrance collapses completely. The people thank you, and you are given [3 Starf Berry]. Celebi brings you back to the present.
If you managed to save the people in the past, the pyramid will be restored and have people living in it. They will sell fresh water, soda pop, lemonade and moomoo milk. Other people will say: “We are among the descendants of the people surviving the Great Calamity. Although many of our people have perish ages ago, there’s still some of us left. We’re doing decently.” (since you have saved people from 2 pyramids).

3.    You find yourself in a relatively unharmed pyramid with about 30 people in it, with the exit blocked with moving vines, which have poisonous thorns and grow inside. You can try to use Cut at the vines. If you do, the following prompts will appear:
[Pokemon’s speed is < than 200]: [Pokemon using Cut] slashes away at the vines, but for some reason, they grow back immediately. Your pokemon is unable to create an opening… Time runs out, and Celebi brings you back to the present.
[Pokemon’s speed => 200]: Although it takes a bit of effort, [Pokemon using Cut] manages to slash away the vines fast enough to create an opening! You and the people inside the Pyramid manage to escape! After escaping, the people give you [5 Rare Candy]. Celebi brings you back to the present.
If you managed to get the people out, the pyramid will be restored and have people living in it. People in this pyramid will offer services that make your pokemon more friendly. If you talk to bystanders, they will say: “We are ancestors of the people surviving the Calamity (note its no longer the Great Calamity since more than half of the population survived). Ages ago, our people were struck by disaster, but somehow, more than half of us managed to survive. (Since you saved people from 3 pyramids).

4.   You find yourself in a blocked pyramid with loose earth. In here, there will be a lot of people, as with all the other Pyramids. If you talk to some people, they will give you hints such as “The ground is very loose here. I wish we had some way to dig ourselves out…” If you order a pokemon to use Dig, you and all the people inside the pyramid will escape. One of the people will give you a [Relic Staff], which you can sell for a lot of money. Celebi will return you to the present.
If you managed to get the people out before time ran out, the pyramid will be restored and have more people living in it. The people inside will have a Move Tutor amongst them, who will teach your pokemon the elemental punches, as well as other exotic moves.
Bystanders will say: “Our rich culture is a heritage from the people who survived the Calamity. Ages ago, our people were struck by disaster. However, by divine intervention, most of us have were saved and didn’t lose their lives (Since you saved people from 4 pyramids)

5.   You find yourself in a flawless pyramid with no way outside. You honestly haven’t the faintest clue how to get outside. None of your pokemon’s HM’s will be of any use here. If you talk to Celebi, the following prompt will appear depending on how many Pyramids you’ve cleared:
[3 or less Pyramids cleared] Celebi’s doesn’t appear to have a clue what to do. Travel back to the present? (Yes/No, yes will take you back to the present).
[4 Pyramids cleared] Celebi’s eyes are gleaming! Ask Celebi for help? (Yes/no)
No: You don’t ask Celebi for help. Go back to the present instead? (Yes/No)
Yes: Celebi starts to glow! Celebi uses its psychic powers to create an opening in the flawless wall, bringing everyone inside the pyramid to safety! After the escape, the leader of the people will talk to you:
It’s A Miracle! A Great Calamity was about to befall our people, but you managed to save every single person here! Truly you are the Legendary Hero, being at 5 places at once! You are our Savior! Truly we are a Blessed People, for the heavens have sent us a Savior in our time of need! This must mean there’s no end to what we can achieve together! Our King will be wanting to talk to you! Before you can do so, Celebi, worn out from the effort, brings you back to the present.

After saving all people form the 5 Pyramids, upon coming back to the present, The entire ruins site will be empty. All pyramids will be broken and empty. If you go back to the archeologist, he’ll tell you the following story:

“Ages ago, a Great Calamity struck the people of this civilisation. A legendary hero came forth from the heavens, and all of the people were saved. After this event, the King thought his people were blessed by the heavens, and he set out on a conquest for absolute greatness. He invoked the power of Groudon and Kyogre, not knowing he could not control their awesome powers. Their powers got completely out of hand, and wiped out the entire civilisation. The ruins are mostly rubble now, but there is still something from the central Pyramid left. You could go check it out if you wanted to.
If you now go check out the middle Pyramid, Xatu will walk up the steps (only halfway, since the top of the pyramid is inaccessible) and will stare into the past. If you examine him, you will get the following prompt:
Xatu is staring into the past more intently than ever. It appears the greatest calamity happened here. Would you like to travel to the past? (Yes/No) If you say yes, the final part of this Quest will start.

Part 3: The Foolish King and his Illusions of Grandeur!

When you travel back to the past, you will stand on the steps of the Great Pyramid. It is now about one year later from the previous calamity, and you can walk around the city and talk to people. They will talk to you about the King’s great plans and their future conquest. They will also recognise you as the legendary hero, and thank you for your efforts and give you nuggets and berries randomly.
If you climb up the steps of the Pyramid, a cutscene will start.
King: “Ah! If it isn’t the Legendary Hero! After you vanished last year after saving all of us, you hadn’t given us the chance to properly thank you! You should definitely take a walk around and see what my people have for you!”
Yeah, I’ll go do just that! (You can continue to walk around the city)
That’s not why I’m here…(Conversation continues)
“Ah! In that case, you must’ve heard about my great conquest! Yes, yes, indeed. Did you know that our people have been the guardians of the Legendary Pokemon of Land and Sea? We are! For years, we have guarded the legendary Blue Orb and the Red Orb, worshipping them in the hope of keeping them safe. My ancestors were always scared of the power of the Orbs, saying we should not use them, since Calamity will surely befall us if we do! Even though we did not use them for hundreds of years, Calamity still struck our people. And look at us now! What happened? Our people are as strong as ever! We survived the Calamity with zero casualties! Surely we are a people blessed by the Heavens! I have since then, dreamed of spreading our greatness to other lands, granting them with our blessing! With the power of the Legendary Pokemon, we can do just that! You, the Legendary Hero of the Heavens, are you with us?”
You’re out of your mind! I’m here to stop you! (go to the battle conversation)
That sounds pretty good actually, let’s do this! (go to the other conversation)

Other conversation:
“Haha! I knew you would help us in our quest! Now watch, as I summon the great legendary pokemon!” The King walks up to the Red and the Blue orb,

Battle conversation:
“What did you just call me? I will show you the power of our people. I will surpass the Legendary Hero, and become the Legendary King instead!
Celebi is raring to go! Would you like to use Celebi for this battle? (Yes/No) (If you choose Yes, you can use Celebi for this battle.)
King’s Pokemon:
Groudon lvl 80
Impish nature
Ability: Drought
Moves:
Earthquake
Eruption
Slash
Curse

Kyogre lvl 80
Calm nature
Ability: Drizzle
Moves:
Water Spout
Ice Beam
Calm Mind
Water Pulse/Thunder (Dunno how difficult you want to make this battle :p)

Your Celebi:
Celebi:
Ability: Natural Cure
Moves:
Solar Beam (LOL Heavy damage on Groudon because Drought)
Psychic
Leech Seed
Recover

If you lose the battle, Celebi will simply travel you back to the present, and nothing will have changed in the Ancient Ruins.
If you win the battle, Groudon and Kyogre will be gone, and the King will black out. If you investigate the King, it will say:
Although the King has lost the battle, he still appears to be dreaming of greatness and conquering distant lands…
It doesn’t appear you can stop the King from dreaming right now…
Would you like to have [Pokemon with Dream Eater] use Dream Eater? (Yes/No) If you choose Yes, go to Ending 1:
Would you like to send out Darkrai? (Yes/No) Yes: Go to Ending 2.
If you are unable to stop the King’s Dreams, you will simply return to the present, feeling accomplished. Upon your return, you will notice that nothing has changed since your last trip to the past. You can simply take a trip back to the past and try again. If you talk to the archeologist, he will explain:
“Years ago, this ancient civilisation was destroyed by the ambition of the foolish King, who dreamed of reaching absolute supremacy by using the power of the Legendary Pokemon. The Legendary Hero was unable to stop the King’s foolish dreams. After his first defeat, the King simply tried again and again… I wonder if there was any way to stop the King’s dreams…”

Ending 1: After [Pokemon with Dream Eater] eats the King’s dreams, the King’s dreams vanish from his mind. His illusions of grandeur, and his ambition also disappear. The screen whites out, and after fade-in, you see the King wake up. He talks to you: “It appears you truly are the Legendary Hero… Somehow, I don’t feel like going on a great conquest anymore… It has become clear to me that protecting my people and our great civilisation is the most important thing for me and my bloodline. My ancestors were right about the legendary pokemon… I still feel we are a blessed people, but only because we had you to save us and show us the proper way.”
The King orders his servants to make a portrait of you and your pokemon. “This way, we’ll remember you and your heroics forever! Since you are truly the Legendary Hero, I shall grant you access to the Red Orb and the Blue Orb, you will surely use the power of the Legendary pokemon better than I ever could.” Celebi brings you back to the present, and flies off into the horizon. You know that Celebi will come to your aid should you ever need him.

Ending 2 (Only accessible if you happen to be doing a quest that requires you to use Darkrai at that time): After sending out Darkrai, the King’s calm and ambitious grimace disappears, and a scared look draws upon his face. The longer you watch, the more agonised the King gets. He starts sleeping restlessly, yelling out “No… No… NOOOO!!!” The King jumps up and appears to be wide awake. Tears are running down his cheeks, and he cries: “Forgive me! Please, forgive me… I had no idea what my ambitions would do to my people. For the past year, I have had dreams of hope and glory, showing me what I could accomplish… But this last dream… It was the worst nightmare I’ve ever had! It showed me the ruins of my country, the dead bodies of my people, the end of my bloodline! I now realize that I have been a fool! The powers of the Legendary Pokemon are far greater than what I may hope to control… Legendary Hero, I thank you for stopping me before it was too late. My ancestors were right about the legendary pokemon… I still feel we are a blessed people, but only because we had you to save us and show us the proper way.”
The King orders his servants to make a statue of you and your pokemon.

After returning to the present, the entire town will be restored. All pyramids will have many people inside, and many shops will be present allowing you to buy all sorts of exotic goods and exclusive services. All previously restored pyramids and their dwellers will be there, as well as another one that offers to reset the stat points/EV’s/Whatever of one of your pokemon per day.
You can now go up to the top of the Great Pyramid. There, the Blue and Red Orb will be enshrined, unlocking future quests that require Kyogre and Groudon.

Pokedex Entries / [Pokedex Entry] Diglett
« on: April 08, 2014, 06:14:44 PM »
Pokemon #50, Diglett, Ground type, Mole pokemon.

Intro: Diglett is a small pokemon that is mostly known for the mystery regarding its legs. It looks like a small brown sausage, partly burrowed, with a red, oval-shaped nose and two beady, black eyes.

Habitat: Diglett lives mostly underground. Their most famous dwelling is the Diglett Cave in Kanto, and they are known to reside in similar caverns all over the world. They also inhabit mountainous regions.

Diet: Diglett mostly feeds on the roots of trees and plants, which it finds underground.

Biology: Diglett spends its entire life at least partly burrowed in the ground. Due to this, no one has yet to see one's complete body. Wild theories regarding Diglett's lower body exist, with the most credible ones being that Diglett simply has two small feet.
Diglett's movement naturally leaves behind a trail of perfectly plowed soil.
Diglett is very environmentally aware and active. It will plow soil and plant trees to shape its environment. Diglett will also actively sabotage any operation that threatens its environment. They are also known to dig large tunnels from one settlement to another, with the most famous one being Diglett Cave in Kanto.
Diglett's most notorious special ability is Arena Trap. By plowing around the area, Diglett makes it impossible for a non-airborne opponent to leave the battle. During encounters with wild Diglett, this has led to much trouble for starting trainers. Especially those with fire-type starters, who are weak to Diglett's signature move, Dig. In trainer battles, Arena Trap often leads to a strategic advantage for the user, as electric types find themselves trapped and facing their doom.
Diglett has a rather broad movepool, with many moves that do not appear to make sense. Diglett can use many slashing and clawing moves such as Aerial Ace, Slash and Sucker Punch, which normally require appendages. It is hypothesized that Diglett has appendages below the surface, and that it uses these at a speed that cannot be detected by the human eye. Some people claim that Diglett even moves at the speed of light, but this is scientifically impossible, since any object nearing that speed burst into flame spontaneously due to air friction.

Pokemon League Commission notes:
Class D: No specific guidelines or restrictions are implemented towards Diglett.

Pokedex Entries / [Pokedex Entry] Voltorb
« on: April 07, 2014, 08:04:16 PM »
Pokemon #100, Voltorb, Electric type, Ball pokemon.

Introduction: Voltorb is the pokemon that is known as the Boom-ball. It looks like a pokeball, with its perfectly spherical body, and red upper half and white lower half. It has two large eyes that almost always look angry.

Habitat: Voltorb is mostly found in power plants, and in patches of grass near power plants. They are also known to reproduce quickly in cities if the conditions are right.

Diet: Voltorb only needs electrical energy to sustain itself. It is able to consume pokefoods such as rare candies, pokeblock, poffins and others, although the manner of consumption is not understood, since Voltorb lacks a digestive track.

Biology: Voltorb is a pokemon that has a highly volatile personality and is easily angered. At the slightest bump or touch, it will discharge itself and electrocute bystanders, or selfdestruct or explode and cause serious harm to its surroundings. Voltorb’s temper makes it difficult to train, but it is known to warm up to people and other pokemon.
Voltorb does not reproduce naturally in the presence of trainers. Its reproductive system is shrouded in mystery, although there are indications that it reproduces after taking in enough electrical energy. Voltorb is constantly looking for energy, and will draw power from man-made structures such as railways, power plants, streetlights and others.
Voltorb is very similar to a pokeball. The discovery of this pokemon was very soon after the invention of the pokeball, which makes it likely that the two are connected. Since Voltorb’s parts are not found in nature, this is the most probable origin of Voltorb. It is hypothesized that Voltorb was created after a pokeball was supercharged under mysterious conditions. Voltorb is aware of its resemblance to pokeballs, and uses this to camouflage itself in its apparent natural environment, a pokeball factory.
The speed of the ball-shaped pokemon is legendary. Voltorb and its evolution Electrode are among the fastest pokemon in the pokemon kingdom. This is peculiar, since Voltorb only moves by rolling. After investigation, it was found that Voltorb lacks a balance organ. This allows it to roll around without getting nauseous, however, it makes it difficult for Voltorb to determine which side is up and which is down. It is not hindered by this during movement, however.
Many trainers have been frustrated by Voltorbs volatility. Due to its tendency to Selfdestruct at the slightest stimulant, Voltorb often ends up fainting, which then makes it impossible to catch the pokemon.
Although preference goes to Electrode, Voltorb has been used as a power source for machines. When fed or recharged regularly, and kept under non-stimulating conditions, Voltorb can be used as a eco-friendly power source. Care should be taken about overusing the pokemon as a power source, though, since this is harmful for the pokemon. This was discovered after investigation of Voltorb that were left behind in a abandoned Team Rocket hideout.

Pokemon League Commission notes:
Class D: The PLC’s guidelines on Voltorb are somewhat contradictory. On the one hand, Voltorb is considered a dangerous pokemon whose population should be controlled, since too many will cause great damage to their surroundings due to their random explosions.
On the other hand, the PLC warns trainers about engaging Voltorb due to said explosive nature.
In either case, catching of Voltorb is not restricted in any way.

Pokedex Entries / [Pokedex Entry] Articuno
« on: April 05, 2014, 01:01:43 AM »
Pokemon #144, Articuno, Ice/Flying type, Freeze Pokemon.

Intro: Articuno is the first of the Kanto Legendary Bird Trio, and is the elemental bird of ice. Articuno is a bird that is easily twice the size of humans. It's body is mostly sky-blue, with a slightly darker blue tail and blueish-grey chest feathers. Its beak and talons are grey, and it has white sclera and red irises. On its head are three blue and slightly greenish feathers the shape of a parallelogram. Its beak is small, and its talons have three forward toes with one claw, and one backwards. Its tail is long and appears to consist of three long, magnificent feathers.

Habitat: Although Articuno does not have a definite habitat, it is mostly spotted in mountains above the snow line. It may also appear in icy caverns, although this is quite rare.

Diet: It is not known what Articuno eats, but it is speculated that it eats the berries that grow up high in the mountains. In the presence of trainers, it will eat regular pokemon food like poffins, pokeblock, rare candies and other berries.

Biology: Articuno's presence causes the temperature to drop immediately. A flap of its wings will freeze moisture in the air, and cause snow to appear. It is said that Articuno's wings consist of ice, but no biopsy has been taken to confirm this. The fact that Articuno refrigerates the surrounding air may be to prevent its own wings from melting.
Articuno is said to appear to people who are freezing in snowy mountains. It will come and guide the way to safety. If a person is already unconscious, it will carry the person to safety discreetly. Articuno uses its ability to read minds to detect people in distress, which allows it to track people from afar and reach them in time.
Multiple Articuno exist in the world. An Articuno was proven to reside in the Seafoam Islands for a certain period of time. Another Articuno was reported flying around the Kalos region. An Articuno egg was found on Pokemon Island, where its hatching was stimulated by the chill caused by dancing Jynx. This implies that especially low temperatures are necessary to hatch Articuno eggs. It is also evidence that Articuno reproduces naturally by laying eggs, although it has never done so in the presence of a human. It is speculated that Articuno can only reproduce at extremely low temperatures, which are not attained at the pokemon daycare.
Articuno have nests on several high mountains. They travel from nest to nest, bringing frigid weather with them wherever they go.
Articuno is known to govern one of the Orange Islands, in conjunction with Zapdos and Moltres, and governed by Lugia. If one of the other birds disappears, Articuno will claim the other bird’s territory and start behaving aggressively and invasive. Great calamity befalls the region when this happens, and the power of Lugia is necessary to restore balance.

Pokemon League Commission notes:
Class A. Articuno is a Legendary pokemon who trainers are prohibited from catching by default. In the case of Articuno, the weather changes it brings are deemed too damaging to be left in the care of a single trainer indefinitely.

Pokedex Entries / [Pokedex entry] Pidgeot
« on: April 02, 2014, 05:41:39 PM »
Pokemon #18, Pidgeot, Normal/Flying type, Bird pokemon.

Intro: Pidgeot is the final evolution of Pidgey and Pidgeotto. It looks roughly the same as Pidgeotto, with similar brown and cream feathers, and a black marking behind its eye, though it has grown much bigger. Pidgeot is roughly twice the size of a human. Its plumage is only different from Pidgeotto in that its tail feathers are only pink, and the feathers on his head have gained a broad yellow band in the middle, and those feathers are roughly the size of its body.

Habitat: Pidgeot is hardly ever seen as a wild pokemon. Although Pidgeotto evolves by level, none actually do so without the guidance of a trainer. The only wild Pidgeot are those released by a trainer.

Diet: Pidgeot has the same predatory urges as Pidgeotto, but it is able to hunt bigger prey than its prevolution. However, most Pidgeot only eat industrial or handmade pokemon food, as do most pokemon in companionship of a trainer.

Biology: Pidgeot can fly extremely fast. There is evidence of it being able to fly at a speed past Mach 2 (2125 km/h). However, Pidgeot will not fly at this speed often, as the sonic boom generated by passing the sound barrier is extremely damaging to its body. Generally, Pidgeot will perform a Quick Attack at a speed slightly below the speed of sound.
Pidgeot's overall physique is extremely well-developed. Its chest muscles are powerful enough to create gusts strong enough to bend trees, and its claws are lethal weapons. It can perform the move Hurricane without breaking a sweat. Pidgeot's vision is also very good, it is able to spot prey in the water at an altitude of 10000 m. It can swoop down from up high, skim across the water and pick up unaware prey such as Magikarp before they realize what happened.
Pidgeot is one of the strongest carriers in the bird kingdom. It is able to carry several humans on its back at once without losing maneuverability or speed. It is also extremely proficient at using the move Sky Drop, and will carry enemies to altitudes of 2000 m before dropping them to their doom.
Thanks to its beautiful, dazzling plumage, Pidgeot is much-loved amongst trainers. This causes many trainers to choose Pidgey as a partner, and walk the long path of training it towards becoming a Pidgeot.

Pokemon League commission notes:
Class F. Pidgeot is only obtainable through evolution. Although the evolution is not limited by special means such as trading or stones, natural occurences of Pidgeotto have not been observed and the PLC deemed it fitting to specify Pidgeot as a Class F pokemon.

Pokedex Entries / [Pokedex entry] Pidgeotto
« on: April 02, 2014, 05:41:06 PM »
Pokemon #17, Pidgeotto, Normal/Flying type, Bird pokemon.

Intro: Pidgeotto is the evolved version of Pidgey, whom a lot of people have used at least once during their trainer's career. Pidgeotto has roughly the same build as Pidgey, though it is much bigger. The claws, beak and feather colors have remained roughly the same. The biggest difference is the addition of a row of pink feathers on Pidgeotto's head, and pink and yellow alternating tail feathers.

Habitat: Although Pidgeotto is less widespread than Pidgey, it can still be found in roughly the same locations, such as open fields, forests, urban regions, etc. Since Pidgeotto claims a large territory, not many will be usually seen in one location.

Diet: The diet of Pidgeotto is much more carnivorous after its evolution. It will actively hunt all sorts of other pokemon such as Caterpie, Magikarp, Exeggcute and similar species.

Biology: Pidgeotto claims a large territory for itself in a forest or open plain. In the middle of the territory, it will build a nest. Pidgeotto is very protective of its territory. It is constantly busy flying around and patrolling the area, looking for prey and intruders. Any prey will be immobilized with its talons, incapacitated and carried back to the nest. An intruder will be viciously attacked by pecking and clawing until it is subdued or until it flees.
Wild Pidgeotto may sometimes be a menace to starting trainers. In certain regions, trainers who choose a grass-type and walk into a Pidgeotto's territory, will find themself in a pinch. Pidgeotto's predatory nature will make escaping difficult, especially since the bird will often be faster than most starters. In more extreme cases, the intervention of Pokemon Rangers was necessary to prevent starter pokemon from being devoured.
Pidgeotto is a strong flyer, that is capable of carrying a heavy load. In the wild, this means that even relatively big prey can be carried off to the nest. As a trained pokemon, this means that Pidgeotto can carry a trainer to faraway locations, and can carry other pokemon for use in a combination attack.
When captured, Pidgeotto makes for a loyal partner that hates to let down its trainer. It will go to extreme lengths to win battles. In rare cases, Pidgeotto's urge to protect its peers and family will drive it to evolve into Pidgeot without the need for battle.

Pokemon League Commission notes:
Class D. While Pidgeotto is a relatively rare, especially compared to Pidgey, no restrictions towards catching it have been implemented. Since Pidgeotto claims a large territory, many Pidgeotto in a small plot of land will often lead to conflict. To help prevent these conflicts and pokemon and human harm, catching Pidgeotto is unrestricted and even stimulated in certain areas.

Pokedex Entries / [Pokedex Entry] Pidgey
« on: April 01, 2014, 06:37:11 PM »
Pokemon #13, Pidgey, Normal/Flying type, Tiny Bird pokemon.

Intro: Pidgey is a extremely common pokemon that is well-know for its ubiquituity. Pidgey is a small bird with a simple brown and beige plumage. Its undersides all the way up to his eyes, the outer half of his wings and several feathers above his eyes resembling eyebrows are all beige. A small amount of black feathers are visible behind his eyes, and the rest of the feathers including his tail-feathers are brown. On his chest, several feathers hang downwards, indicating the end of the upper body. Pidgey has a pinkish and feet with two forward toes and one backward toe. All toes have a talon.

Habitat: Populations of Pidgey are plentiful and omnipresent. They live in open fields, forests, cities and towns, as well as certain mountainous regions and many others.

Diet: Pidgey eats small insects and berries, but may also eat fruits, seeds, bread and other things it scavenges in the city.

Biology: Pidgey is a very hardy pokemon with a robust immune system and a flexible diet. Thanks to these qualities, pidgey are very widespread and can be found nearly anywhere. Local Pidgey populations may adapt to local conditions and vary from the average pidgey. One example of this is Pudgey Pidgey Island, where food is so plentiful that the Pidgey have devolved into a fat, round critter that is unable to fly.
Pidgey is a timid pokemon that prefers to avoid any kind of confrontation. It easily flees from pokemon and trainers alike. There are exceptions to this behavior. Especially when Pidgey's nest is being threatened, it will attack the predator by flapping up large gusts of wind and blowing sand in their eyes.
In the Kanto region, Pidgey and its evolutions are very well represented amongst teams of trainers. This is because Pidgey can be caught at a very low level, while barely any other pokemon is available at this level.
Pidgey have been used for other things than just pokemon battles. Since Pidgey has an impeccable sence of direction, it is very suitable for jobs such as mail delivery.
In combat, Pidgey will mostly use attacks that are typical to flying-type pokemon such as Wing Attack, Gust, Featherdance and more powerful moves such as Sky Attack and Brave Bird.

Pokemon League Commission notes:
Class D: Pidgey are widespread and populations are typically very large. The PLC deems it exceptionally unnecessary to implement catching restrictions towards Pidgey, and encourages all starting trainers and regular trainers alike to catch them.

Pokedex Entries / [Pokedex Entry] Butterfree
« on: April 01, 2014, 06:36:52 PM »
Pokemon #12, Butterfree, Bug/Flying type, Butterfly pokemon.

Intro: Butterfree is the evolved version of Metapod and is best known as the dominant butterfly species pokemon in the Kanto region. Butterfree looks like a butterfly with slightly humanoid features, in that it has appendages similar to feet and claws rather than six segmented legs. Butterfree has a purple body with two blue, tiny three-clawed hands and two blue oval feet. Its head is also purple, with two large red compound eyes, a small blue mouth with two tiny white fangs and two black antennae with bulged tips. Butterfree's wings are white with black rims, and have thin veins visible throughout the wings. Both wings consist of a larger and a smaller segment, with the larger one at the top.

Habitat: Butterfree mostly lives in forests in all sorts of different climates, mostly temperate and tropical. During mating season, most Butterfree travel south to reproduce. Some stay behind however, as indicated by the large population of Caterpie in temperate forests.

Diet: Butterfree lives on pollen and nectar, as well as sweet tree sap and honey if it is able to obtain some from Combee nests.

Biology: Butterfree's wings are naturally covered in poisonous and paralysis-inducing dusts. It will spread these powders by flapping its wings heftily. The powders have water-repellant properties, which prevent the wings from getting soaked in the rain. This allows Butterfree to collect food even during heavy downpours. Staying in the presence of large groups of enraged Butterfree is dangerous, as one may become affected by the various powders they spread.
For food gathering, Butterfree relies on its skills in identifying various flowers, pollen and nectar types. It is very skilled at this, and selects the right flowers with great care. It will travel up to six miles to find suitable food, and can carry the pollen all the way back to the nest. It carries the pollen by attaching it to the hairs on its legs.
The mating habits of Butterfree are somewhat complex. During mating season, Butterfree gather at the oceanside and seek a suitable mate. A male Butterfree will try to impress a mate by wooing her with a dance, which has recently been identified as the move Quiver Dance. If the female is impressed, they will pair up and travel south for reproduction. If the female is unimpressed, the male Butterfree may still try to win her affection by impressing her with a vigorous display of physical force, though most Butterfree choose to simply try and find another mate.
Butterfree sometimes share a habitat with Heracross. This is because Heracross and Butterfree share an interest in sweet tree sap, but Butterfree are typically unable to pierce the bark of the sap-producing trees, instead relying on Heracross to share the tree sap.
Butterfree has a very diverse moveset. It can sense and expel various wavelengths using its antenna. This allows Butterfree to use psychic attacks, such as confusion and Psybeam. It can also gather solar power in the antenna to use in the move Solarbeam. It is also able to use unique support moves such as Tailwind, and it is proficient with status-inducing moves thanks to its ability Compound eyes.

Pokemon League Commission notes:
Class D: Butterfree are slightly less plentiful than their offspring, Caterpie, but populations are still big enough to not need special regulations for maintenance.
During mating season, trainers are urged to free their Butterfree and allow them to fulfill their life goal.
