Other Games / Flighty Hordes - Game made in 48 hours.
« on: November 03, 2011, 07:58:11 pm »
Hey guys, I recently held a competition where people in my campus at college made games in 48 hours straight!

I didn't enter because I ran the comp - but while the teams were making games, I decided to make one on my own!

This game took me 30 hours (I did all the design, porogramming and art by myself)

http://edibleweapon.webs.com/FlightyHordes/WebPlayer.html
(You'll need Unity Web Player)

Flighty Hordes is a game where you shoot zombies out of cannons so they can catch brains in mid-air.

This can be anything from an incorrect number to an ability not working properly!

Balance Server Testing / Balance Server Rules
« on: November 02, 2011, 12:40:03 pm »
1. No flaming
2. No spamming
3. Generally behave yourself, you know.
4. Use Standard Clauses - Sleep, Freeze, Evasion, Self-KO
5. No Legendaries. (Or I'll be forced to make all their stats 1)
6. If you find a glitch (example, a move that really doesn't belong and seems unintentional) report it.
7. Please use only the pokemon in the "Available for use" category - we may be in the process of changing others.
8. If someone seems to be exploiting a glitch, or is using Legendaries, report them in this forum.
9. Don't complain about changes in the server.
10. In fact, don't complain - discuss. We don't like whinging, we do like reasonable feedback.
11. Do not ask when the server will be released.
12. If you don't like the idea of a balanced metagame, GET OUT.

(Reason for 12 is simply because we don't need people complaining about the base ideas behind PU. If you don't like balanced Pokemon, PU simply sin't for you - we don't need to be constantly hassled for it.)

News & Announcements / Balance Testing Going Public!
« on: October 20, 2011, 12:08:06 pm »
Do you love to Battle?

Are you keen to find out what the Balance Team has been doing to all of your favourite Pokes?

Are you excited to see a new metagame - where even Pidgeot and Raticate can be threatening?

Well, your chance is here!

The PU team is proud to announce that we will be opening a public PU balance testing server shortly -with all of our currently changed pokes in it.
As we balance more Pokemon, the server will be updated with new stats and movepools.

Our goal is to do 3 things:
- Build up a strong community ready for the release of the game
- Help you all to know the balance changes for the release of the game (so you already have an idea of what teams will be fun to use!)
- Test the Pokemon as much as possible, to see who's fun to play against, who's too powerful, and who still needs a bit of a buff.

If you look along the forums, you will see some new ones:
Balance Server Testing: This is where, when the server has been released, we will try to get all of your feedback and put it to good use.
Completed Reports: This is where we will post reports on the Pokemon we have balanced - this is your one stop forum for ideas on who to pick and why you should pick them. As we balance more Pokes, we'll report more Pokes.
Balance Testing Team Only: This is the special forum for all the people who have been helping us test for months! They'll be testing Pokemon before they even enter the public server - to make sure that you guys don't have your experiences ruined by changes that should have never seen the light of day!

So!

Get ready for server details and server rules and such to drop very soon!
Until then, please don't post in the Testing forum!

Thanks!
The PU Dev Team
