This is the saddest comment ever. So sad :(

Okay, so one thing I find that makes RPs very stale is the "lame brain" combat system. There never seems to be any variability, no chance, just 1 + 2 = 3 damage and 4hp - 3 damage = 1hp. (generally speaking in regards to the terms) I would like to see something more. Now I'm not saying to make combat a total luck box or to make it so it takes you 4 hours to strategize for a battle but there should be some aspect of chance in there or some advanced tactics that could turn fights around. In video games this is handled by crits and misses and multi-leveled abilities or triggered effects but that is a bit harder to do in an RP. So that's my suggestion, a bit vague I know but I thought I would just bring that up.

Before I make a suggestion I have a question, have you thought about a combat system or how combat of any sorts will be handled?

Thanks for the response guys. =) That is understandable for sure. I actually know a few people who used to do pixel art on their spare time so I am going to ask and see if they have any availability to do some stuff for you guys.

Fingers crossed!

Hey Guys,

I've noticed that in the last few months status updates of any kind from the PU team have been scarce to non-existent. Now, before anyone rages at me for posting this I want to just say that I have total faith in the PU team and I completely understand the length of time these things take. As a developer myself I know just how long a project of this magnitude can take.

With that being said, I am a firm believer in transparency and that is something I have not seen a lot of recently. I've actually had friends that used to follow the games progress quite closely ask if the PU team cancelled the project.

So I pose the following questions to all of you GD goers:

1 - Are there updates on development that I am just not find? If so, where can I find them.
2 - Is there development being done currently or is it on hold for the time being?
3 - Would you guys like a more regular update on the progress of the game?

Of course if you guys think I'm crazy you can tell me that too. =)

Thanks for reading everyone.

I always enjoy a good skill system. For example, having a specific learning system so anyone could potentially learn anything but there are certain requirements for doing so. I find this much more rewarding then in other RP's where the GMs just say you learned it after a specific period of time.

Gravity, just to be the world's biggest troll >:D

or maybe... Aura Sphere and shout 'HADOUKEN!'

Wow, I didn't even think about that but you really could be the biggest troll. I'm pretty sure you would become the only source of rage anywhere. lol

If you could have one Pokemon move what would it be?

Personally, I would take teleport, <-- too much fun.

Hmm... end up with like Tentacruel, Rhydon, Electabuzz, Venusaur, Omastar, Rapidash? Not a bad team actually. Pretty balanced for types for the most part

Tauros, Raichu, Electabuzz, Venusaur,  Omastar, Rapidash sounds even better to me (Tauros being a massive powerhouse and Raichu for the pikachu-hate ;D)

Tauros too OP. Kicked my ass all over Kanto. =(

Yeah, but how hard was it to find and catch one of those suckers in the safari zone? Big pain lol

Pretty sure I didn't even bother catching one my first couple of plays through.

Well seeing as how I'm an originals fan, I'd have to say blue. But that's just me.

The example is from a youtube series called TFS Dragon Ball Z Abridged, which by the way is hilarious.

TFS is brilliant. Love their series.

I also started a Nuzlocke on SoulSilver, but haven't gone back to it for whatever reason.

I tried the Nuzlocke out and it seemed a bit boring to me. I'm playing one on my heart gold now, can't remember where I got the idea, but it's like the last round in the wheel of fortune where I can only pick pokemon that begin with the letters R, S, T, L, N and E and I get to pick 3 more consonants and a vowel. Don't know how well it's going to work out but it seemed different. I've also limited myself to the most basic items only (pokeballs, potions, berries, etc.). It really makes catching some of the better pokemon real hard.

I'm also playing blue where all my pokemon have to be above my level requirement (until that's not possible of course) before I go to the gyms. This one seemed really annoying to me but my buddy bet me 50 bucks I couldn't finish it that way so I just couldn't say no. =)

When you get time? No, there's always time for Pokemon. =) And if I don't have time I make time, because I'm a wizard.
