I guess this doesn't work for engineering and science students like me. I'll just take what I can get no matter the name! :D
XD hell yes

So have you. It's not that you're doing it blatantly, your brain is the one doing it to you.

Allow me to tell you of a friend of mine named Troy. He is a tall person with curly brown hair and braces. He is not that great to look at, as some women have told me. Well, not only would woman talk to him, they would give him their number. Me, being unlucky with women, asked him how he did it. He told me he simply said, Hi, I'm Troy, and the conversation would go from there. I decided to run an experiment. I got a picture of just his face and talked to about 20 women, They took one look at the photo and basically said eewww followed by who is that. I told them his name was Troy. 16 of them went from eeww to well, he does seem charming.  I did the same thing, 20 different women, and used my name instead. Only 2 had a small change in view, while the rest seemed to be more disgusted.

And it was all because of a slight change in name. You will never do it consciously, you brain will do it on its own.

haha.. yes, very well-spoken. Although .. I'm not saying that I don't stereotype people. It's a 99.999% given that everyone will stereotype in some way. It's a pretty profound effect that society has on an individual.

But usually people don't stereotype due to a name but the appearance of someone.

Sure your story with Troy may be evidence for this name stereotyping phenomenon but women could like your friend because of his personality. Maybe they liked that he approached them and used his secret pick up line.

You've definitely fallen for movie "propaganda".   :D

They said 40 names were used so I think that's the whole list, which makes it a very short list. Plus there's no Winston on the list so it's total lackluster already.

Balance Server Testing / How many abilities will the pokemon have?
« on: June 10, 2012, 08:08:12 AM »
So I was wondering if the pokemon will get to have all its abilities or just one. I saw the examples from the reports list but then I realized some if not all of them were from smogon. If someone who knows or who has been on the test server could explain how the abilities work, that would be nice.

I'm definitely watching this after the snowball fight lol..
You might like Detroit Metal City, though you probably already watched it. It's somewhat similar but with a lot of cussing, and other things...

yea.. each person's style is so different, it's kinda hard to pick what you like the best in this first trial.

Lol does this look like an eskimo?

ice type trainer.

Have you seen Avatar the Last Air Bender? If so/if not, the art type of the Water tribe could be something to go off of if going in the direction of Eskimo-like
I like this idea. You should totally give him hair though.

Ideas & Suggestions / Re: PvP Arena Match-Up system - Broken Down

instead of ranking based on wins in a row and loses in row, you could rank based on wins-loses and have the rankings reset every week or so. resets would cause a players ranking to lower to the next 10 or 5 multiple ranking, unless you're the highest rankings, in which you keep your rank obviously.
cause wins in a row means you need to have the best team(which there really isn't one that is best) or really good luck with picking your team

You have dyslexia? I couldn't tell. Anyway I think it's pretty cool that you're making such a game. I might try it but, if it has too many bugs, it sounds fishy(:/). When you get it to work 100% on your pc meaning it'll probably work on mine, then maybe I will try it.
