Draw Tyranitar using Hyper Beam on Jellicent.

(I have to be complicated because your poop is the poop. I want moar, MOAR!)

Ideas & Suggestions / Re: Trainer AI

The easiest way to give trainers a false sense of "battle strategy" would be to program with a few simple checks. Do they have a move that is SE against your Pokemon? If not, do they have one they could switch to without taking, say, <50% damage? If yes, they switch.

Simple things like that. I also plan to introduce different combinations into it. You rarely see any trainers in the game attempting set up sweeps, or subpunch sets, or even the common scout switching.

Just to clarify some misinformation here.

Flareon has Hyper Beam instead of Giga Impact, because its SpAtk is Higher than its Atk.

Flareon's Atk stat is much higher than its SpAtk. Atk is sitting at a fantastic base 130 while SpAtk dwindles at 95.

Quote
Espeon has a very high SpAtk, but a low Spd, So, I'll give it either a Wise Glasses, or Quick Claw

Espeon's speed is anything but slow. It has a whopping 110 base in Speed. That is faster than most Pokemon and makes it the second fastest Eeveelution. Only Jolteon is faster.

Quote
Vaporeon has Signal beam, for dealing with those pesky Psychics.

Signal Beam has 75 BP. That means it has 150 versus Psychics. Not a slouch move in the slightest. However, Surf has 95 BP. After factoring in STAB, it becomes 143. So, you would have 7 less points of BP for the chance of hitting more than one Pokemon.

(I mention this because you mentioned double and triple battles earlier.)

Quote
Umbreon.... I thought Hyper Beam was a good Idea, but there isn't much use for it in Umby...

Umbreon's SpAtk stat is horrid. His physical Atk stat is mediocre. That's why he is generally used as a wall. Or a tank if you run his Curse set. It's also possible to drop a few points into Atk and give him Payback for some pretty reliable damage.

Will you really eat the faces of pony?

Pony faces are delicious.

And I know quite a few people that are uninterested in Minecraft. Some have converted after playing it for a bit. (Or with friends.) Some still don't like it. Everyone is different.

Personally, I love the creative aspect of it. Building things has always been an interesting thing with me. And having to work for the materials is just a sense of satisfaction.

New Trainers / Welcome / Re: -Waves- hi there!
« on: June 04, 2011, 11:01:44 PM »
Hola! I just signed up for this place, mostly out of boredom. But um yeah, as most would tell, I am a newbie! :3

Hm... a bit about myself I guess.. i enjoy RolePlaying. (mosly anime's, harry potter,or pokemon-though i never RPed pokemon before). I enjoy editing with photoshop, playing games, being on webcam, reading, making up fanfics.. blah, blah, blah....

And yeah I am just looking for new friends on here, and hopefully a warm welcome! :3

Welcome to the forums. Check out the stickied rules and etiquette faqs, if you'd like.

We also have a role playing forum somewhere around here. They do quite a few RP's other than Pokemon, from what I'm aware.

If you're looking for friends and a warm welcome, you definitely came to the right place. (Though stay away from Frenchfry and his army of fluffies.)

I'm Declan, I'm not a creative guy and I dislike writing essays.
I also don't play MMORPGs as I don't really find them fun, clearly your obvious choice for a member of the PU team :)

Shh, you're just in denial. Don't worry, I'll make you an MMO you can enjoy.

Hey, I'm Raikt. I'm a Game Developer in the making and I'm currently attending college for such. Gaming is my passion. I'm PU as part of the Balance team and my specialty lies in number crunching and dynamic thinking. I also love Math, Science, and Machinery.

Most of the "people" you could play with are idiots. 'Nuff said.

This is golden!

And to the OP,a better game than that is Cubelands, that's a real free minecraft clone.

So that I'm on topic (Moderate the mods, mkay.), I actually have Terraria and highly recommend it to anyone that enjoys Minecraft but would prefer a bit more adventure with their building. The combat is a lot more rewarding and the crafting system is allowed to be more diverse due to the lack of 3D.

All in all, for the price, I can't help but say buy it if you like Minecraft. It's different enough to enjoy, but familiar enough to remind you of why you love Minecraft.

I prefer the real world where the graphics are the best that any game will ever make and the multiplayer can be up to 6 billion people and counting.

You can't slay a Dragon in the real world and most of the "people" you could play with are idiots. 'Nuff said.

Completed Reports / #477 - Dusknoir
« on: June 04, 2011, 10:10:53 PM »

Name: Dusknoir
Number: 477
Type: Ghost

Abilities:
Pressure

Base Stats:
55/100/135/65/135/30

Level Up Move Edits:
- None.

Move Tutor Move Edits:
- None.

Egg Move Edits:
- None.

Example Set
Tank @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EV's: 252 HP / 28 Atk / 228 Spe
Nature: Impish

- Will-o-Wisp
- Earthquake
- Pain Split
- Shadow Sneak / Fire Punch

Explanation of Set
The standard wall set for many Ghost types, Dusknoir executes it flawlessly from behind his fantastic defenses and slightly improved HP. Backing up those defenses is a great attack stat, allowing for other options than just soaking up damage.

Will-o-Wisp, the cornerstone of most tank sets, allows Dusknoir to burn incoming opponents. If predicted correctly, this will generally cripple a physical attacker switching in on Dusknoir. Pain Split is a way to heal off any residual and move based damage that Dusknoir takes over the course of the battle. It turns into a beautiful move when played against an opponent with a larger HP stat, such as Blissey. Earthquake and your choice of Fire Punch and Shadow Sneak (largely depending on what you need to counter) give Dusknoir some fine attacking options.

The choice of Fire Punch or Shadow Sneak is determined by what you need to cover with, or from, the rest of your team. If certain steel walls, bugs, or steel bugs give your team general trouble, you may want to choose Fire Punch to deal with them. Things such as Ferrothorn, Scizor, Forretress, or Heracross. Shadow Sneak is a good move for a priority STAB and can help finished off weakened Pokemon. It can also finish off defensively weaker Pokemon such as Gengar quickly, removing your opponents Ghost type from the field.

Completed Reports / #545 - Scolipede
« on: May 23, 2011, 01:17:05 PM »

Name: Scolipede
Number: 545
Type: Bug / Poison

Abilities:
Tinted Lens
Swarm
Quick Feet

Base Stats:
65 / 107 / 89 / 55 / 89 / 112

Level Up Move Edits:
- None.

Move Tutor Move Edits:
- None.

Egg Move Edits:
- None.

Example Set
Swords Dance @ Focus Sash
Ability: Swarm
EV's: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Nature: Jolly

- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Megahorn / X-Scissor

Explanation of Set
Scolipede's most common set and for good reason. Learning Swords Dance, he can  boost his attack sky high and muscle through a lot of Pokemon that would normally give him an issue. Rock Slide and Earthquake give great coverage while Megahorn deals insane damage after Focus Sash activates Swarm.

With the changes, Scolipede will be even bulkier and may trade the Focus Sash out for another item. However, keep in mind that Focus Sash is still the premier item to use when using him to save him from many powerful moves and guaranteeing a set up.

It's the BEST RPG game i've ever played.

This just irked me. Assassin's Creed is an Action/Adventure title. They aren't RPG's.

And, to stay on-topic... Raikt. Didn't see that coming, did you?

Don't make me backhand you Gorginio. Bad drivers have nothing to do with equipment.

The most likely cause is that you either recently reformatted your computer or your drivers never updated properly when a system update occurred. The first thing you should do is update your drivers, either through the companies website or by clicking "Update Driver" on your video card.

Seeing as I am not Amphi, I can't speak for him, but if I had to venture a guess... the gray panel could just as easily be a sign for the building. (Such as a department store.) Or, it could be a video monitor to display what the store is about. (IE: big cities use them all the time.)

Ideas & Suggestions / Re: Leveling
« on: May 10, 2011, 01:26:44 AM »
I changed the experience earning mechanic so leveling up your Pokemon will take some time. It now also depends on what level pokemon you are fighting. For example you'll get almost no exp. when your pokemon is 10 levels higher than the one you are fighting.

If I could like a post, it would be this one.

But then, I would just like every post you make. :x
