Started to play Magic the Gathering.

christ yu-gi-oh stole alot.
The thrill in playing a game does not come from our chances of winning. It is the weight and pressure of losing that fuels our fascination. It is why people challenge, why they gamble and why they compete. The adrenaline that comes from defying defeat is what motivates us.

I've never played Magic the Gathering, but I've heard about it. I used to play yu-gi-oh, and I have at least 300 cards somewhere in my basement. They haven't been touched for a couple of years now.

I also used to play yugioh, like 10 years ago. And now that Ive played Magic, I realize how garbage that game really is; and how much it stole from Magic. Plus magic, is older, and has a better following; more unique cards, I could go on.

Seriously, look into it, its like, 5 bucks for 15 cards, and 60 cards to make a deck.
20 bucks, and youre ready to play provided you have enough land cards.

I have played Magic, it is a lot better than Yu-Gi-Oh, and I mean a lot. I have a few decks, but my favorite has to be the sunburst cards. For every different colored land used to bring them into play, they get a +1/+1 bonus

I just got done reading stuff about Magic the Gathering this morning, and I'm going to have to find some cards somewhere. I used to see them at Wal-Mart, but I don't think I've seen them there. But I don't go to the section where they have all the trading cards much, so they might be there and I just haven't noticed that they were there.

They'll probably be in a place like a hobby store, like where Warhammer and Dungeons and Dragons are sold.

Also, I reccomend choosing 1 or 2 colors, then getting an intro pack with that theme.

I play Black/Blue

For example, the Scars of Mirrodin set has 5 different intro packs. They all have enough creatures, spells, and land to play out of the box. Sound familiar? *cough* *cough* starter deck yugi/kaiba *cough*.

Anyways, each have a different color theme/combination of color.

Theres a white, red/blue, black/blue, red/green, green/black intro pack for this edition. plus, intro packs come with a single booster, so for 15 dollars, you are actually getting a better deal, as you are getting 75 cards for the price of 45, but at the cost of having only 1/5 of the chance to get a mythic rare, or other card that you can randomly draw.

The newest editions I know of are called: Scars of Mirrodin, rise of the Eldrazi, Zendikar, and Core 2011.

Changing topic: Read this and see if you are interested, its free to play and i want to check it out.  http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/issues/issue_285/8452-The-Greatest-Game-Never-Played
