No, actually, its an attack spell that works like a giant invisible sword, the victim gets slashed, and blood flies everywhere.

I read all of them. I just didn't mentally document every spell that was used. 'Sides, it's a well known fact that pokemon don't bleed. hence why they don't die from getting stabbed by horn drill.

...Ohhhhhh, you're supposed to run away after you throw the smoke ball...

Anyways, yeah it would hurt, but then they would be all like 'Oh no you di-in't!" and then Harry Potter would be all like, "o ya i di-yud!" And then the pokemon  would be all like, "Self-Destruct!", and then Harry Potter would be all like, "o nooooooooooooo11!!!11!"
...And that's how it would happen.

well I was talking about pokemon in general, but I can change the story to make it starter-friendly.
...and then the pokemon would be all like "Ember/Flamethrower/Water Gun/Hydro-pump!"
Water gun might not kill him, but the others sure would.
