You maybe already thought about this, but what about 2v2 battles??
Or maybe some party quests with friends or something??

I would have to agree that would be a good idea and possible letting users create pokemon sprites for the game

Currently playing Pokemon XY/ORAS/Shuffle and Clash of Clans and testing out PokemonRevolutionOnline and Dragonmon Hunter....
