It should give the couple some sort of advantage to encourage players try it.

Like say, each of their Pokemon gains 1.5x more EXP. And some kind of advantage in Double Battles. And each trainer should get... A Masterball!

But if you can get a Masterball when you marry, it's obvious someone will take advantage of this and divorce then marry then divorce then marry etc. Maybe put a CAN'T DIVORCE EVER kinda thing?
Okay you guys, it's dangerous. SO I BROUGHT A GOLF CLUB!

not sure if i like the idea of marriage either.... just because you dont want this to become a Pokemon online dating game -.- even if it is centered around Pokemon... it might just eventually lead to that

I don't know about marriage, that's a little to extreme.

What would be better would be a best friend system.  Each player could have up to 3 best friends (Has to be a mutual agreement and you can also remove people from you best friends list but, you can't fill that slot for a few days.  That would keep people from just adding and removing people for the bonuses), and when you do things like quests and double battles with at least one of your best friends, you get bonuses.  Like maybe extra money or exp at the end of battles or quests.

EXP: I don't see how being married would increase the EXP of a pokemon... sort of like saying your dog will get trained better if you are married...

A masterball... no, that's too extreme of a reward for something of so little significance. I'd rather have it as reward for a quest or tournament, something which is worth the effort.

And even best friend... I think having a friend list would do much less harm. The bonus that you get from playing with a friend... is getting someone to play with! :P

No advantages. Marriage is there so you can show a couple of pictures of a wedding, maybe a shared PC but nothing else.
It's ghost dammit, GHOST!

Actually the Pokemon fan-base is mostly female, about a 2-1 ratio. Especially at my school, there is this anime, video game, rpg, etc. club that a friend of mine is in, (I can't join because of my schedule, and because I don't really want to.) He said that all the poke fans there are women. Now they are college students. So you never know what will happen when the game finally opens.

Yeah, I don't know what benefits should come with this, maybe none so it can be something for just fun.

I support the marriage idea but not the marriage benifits idea. Like jerry said being married aint gonna increase ur skills as a trainer and there are no two vs two battles so no benefits should be given... Unless like on ur aniversary day pokemon pop up to the couple a lot easier ...mmm... Idk i say no benefits

Bah humbug! What a load of rubbish, do you really want to waste the devs time with all this tripe?  Honestly, I know this is just a bit of fun, but c'mon, I really can't tell if you're being serious.
*Thumbs down*
