well, i agreed lucario has not much steel type moves but it's only for his defense or weakness,not for STAB... his fighting moves is good for STAB isn't it?

Lucario is great, and Steelix is the best seteel pokemon, but my personal favourite is Empoleon (Yay for the randomness)

Please give an argument WHY you think your Pokemon is the best. Otherwise we'll just get a useless list of Pokémon.

magnezone because of his mix of electric/steel(12 resistances) + very high sp.att... it is unbeatable unless you have fire or fighter type(ground can be negated with magnet rise), if you dont have one you can just restart the game and weep

Best at what, really? Bronzong is the best support steel. Aggron is the most powerful steel type, next to Metagross. Skarmory is one of the best walls, and Forretress is one of the best utility 'mons. Scizor even fills a niche as the best revenge killer. Magnezone is the best steel trapper. There are even more than that, I'm sure. Steel is one of the best types period.

My favorite is Jirachi, even though you said no legendaries.

Currently playing Pokemon XY/ORAS/Shuffle and Clash of Clans and testing out PokemonRevolutionOnline and Dragonmon Hunter....

I probably have to agree with Jerry by saying Lucario. But if you mean not a mix then I have to say Steelix ;D

Its not pure steel but i'd say Foretress should stand near the top of the ladder, great addition to any shoddy team and a decent variety in it's movepool.
