As I said earlier, each steel usually has a unique something about them that makes them better than others at a job.

Aggron has an amazing attack stat, and with STAB no-recoil Head Smash, he can really lay down the hurt. Metagross makes an excellent Agility user, having a pretty hefty attack stat underneath him. He can also learn explosion. Steelix makes a very great tank or physical wall. He's also not a half bad Curser, but don't expect it to happen often. Registeel, on the other hand, is a fantastic special wall. Scizor is a beautiful revenge killer with Choice Band STAB Bullet Punch. Bronzong is practically the ultimate utility 'mon. There is not much he can't do.

So, it depends on what you want.

Straight to the point, once again :)
No one can go back and change a bad beginning; but anyone can start now and create a successful ending.
If a problem can be solved, no need to worry about it. If it cannot be solved what is the use of worrying?

I'm notably good at that.

Steel is one of my favorite types, though. So, you could say I have an interest in it and its mechanics.

I find it hard to believe that one of someone's favorite types is steel. It has a lot of weaknesses and almost no strengths. I guess the Pokemon that are partly steel type can be pretty good, but steel itself is not.

Steel is easily the most flexible type in the entire game. There is literally not one other type it can be combined with to produce a bad result. Steel / Bug? Scizor. Steel / Psychic? Bronzong and Metagross. Steel / Fire? Heatran. All of those Pokemon are in OU because their typing gives them a huge advantage.

How many Pokemon do you see running around with Flying slapped on and rolling with it? Plus, Steel has the biggest resistance in the entire game. Dragon. Without Steel, Dragon would be such an overcentralising type it would be ridiculous. Not to mention that it can always make good use of its resistances with its hardy defenses.

And the argument for "bad attack" really can't be put on steel. It's put on the BST that GameFreak gave them. Most steel types have a ridiculous attack stat that can't be associated with their secondary typing.

TL;DR, I herd u dun liek steelz. I do, though.

Okay.. I was just mentioning that steel itself was bad. A Pokemon with just a steel type is weak to a few common types. Steel moves are also not good against anything except ice and rock. That's the point I was going for, but you took it above and beyond and now I can't really argue with you.

Heh, I do that sometimes. I'll give you that steel doesn't have great coverage in the SE department. But, what resists steel? Quite a few don't.

As far as bug/steel go. I love my Forretress/spinner and Scizor/Revenge killer.

Lucario, cause of moves he can learn, Aura Sphere, Dark Pulse, Dragon Pulse, Earthquake, Psychic, Force Palm, Flash Cannon, Etc.
By loving so many, I have touched their lives and helped them rebirth as well. To be strong is to instill strength in another.

I believe the best steel that I like would be Metagross. Its stats aren't that bad, and is very well rounded IMO
