The day you beat my ice team with one of your own, which shouldn't be that hard, is the day I will take you seriously LOL.

I think it's especially good luck for those who can use Dragon types. I looked at a list and there's all of like 20 dragon types (non-LE/non-pseudo-LE) including evolutions/pre-evolved forms. Just not much to work with, compared to like 70+ Grass types. (i.e.) Not to mention what isn't yet balanced for PU.
Corpsair, Decapitain, Sparcrow, Condurit. Stumpole, Steekee, Totember, Flaracuda... My current list of ideas for Pokemon.

On the other hand, pretty much all the dragons will rip you to shreds.

Banded D-Nite, Scarfed Garchomp/Haxorus, Specs Hydrygon, LO DD Salamence, anti-steel/ice Druddigon, ice absorber Kingdra... done!

Well, keep in mind it'd be Dragon types vs. Dragon types for the most part. But there is that exception for those Pokes that evolve into Dragon types, like Trapinch, Swablu, Seadra, etc. Unless that rule I misinterpreted it.

But what I overall meant was that it'd be tough to choose what your opponent isn't using.

Like 20 Dragon types, 6 were mentioned already, not much more is left save for prevolved forms. It'd basically the same sorts of teams until more Dragons come into play in the future

You can definitely train pokemon that will evolve into the correct type, as long as you intend to evolve them. We don't want to see a seadra being in a dragon team after it's reached the level where it's learned all the moved it's going to learn.

I mean me personally would waste a lot of time and effort to train all 17 types, but my absolute favorites are Fire, Poison, Bug, and Ghost.

I chose Grass as it's the weakest type (statistically) and my least dealt with
