i allways choose grass type pokemon as my starter but i admit that they are weaker than the other two starters most of the time... and alot of water types can learn ice moves which are strong against grass. :( poor grass types.
That is mostly true, but in D/P, Empoleon is water-steel, which is weak to fighting (Infernape), and also weak to grass (Torterra). So in the end, Empoleon is the weakest starter. It is also super slow!

I'm Nastalgic.. I have to go with squirtle. He was the first pokemon card I ever got and not to mention I've always thought Blastoise was more bad ass then Charzard.
In America all too few blows are struck into flesh. We kill the spirit here, we are experts at that. We use psychic bullets and kill each other cell by cell.

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

I picked Bulbasaur, and I don't know who robert frost would pick but he definitely not a grass type.
Come here, its a little... safer

Robert Frost would pick none of them. He would put a Froslass to sleep with one of his especially boring poems, then catch it with a Pokeball, duh :P
He would then catch the following Pokemon using the same method:
-Glalie
-Articuno
-Weaville
-Lapras
-Abbomasnow
Then he would become a member of the Brutal 5 and be uber. Whenever someone is close to beating him, he uses his special item, boring poem. This automatically puts all of your Pokemon and yourself to sleep. Now you can't do anything but sleep, and you are mad at Robert Frost and refuse to read his poems ever again.

As you can tell, I'm bored right now and felt like rambling.

the strongest has gotta be a water type since they all can learn ice move e.g ice beam which can mess up a grass type any day, i always get ice beam if i choose a water type starter, best has gotta be mudkip then
