Pokedex-National dex

What if <-- instead of being sent on a mission to fulfilled the pokedex.

We could buy them all complete.

for example, you start the whit no information on pokemon.

When you capture them, you can see their info from your PC or something.

And iff you have lots of money, you could buy a pokedex with generation. kanto dex jotho dex hoen dex sinno dex and etc.

Or if your looking for a pokemon in particular, you could buy pokemon information that gets stored into your pc.

this way, we won't need to capture all those pokemons no one likes (for a pokedex completion quest)

Make the dex very very expensive like 1 000 000 000 <---- this way you need to work on getting money, and then you get all the pokemon's location and information (like real pokedex in series)

Nice idea and everything but i think it would be better if we just have to battle them so gain the info. not necessarily capture them right?

I agree with this idea, there will be so many Pokemon it will be just as hard to run into them as to capture a whole generation

This is an mmo, its supposed to take time... I think you will have to get your pokedex filled the good old way.
The game isn't supposed to be easy.

Its a good idea but no imo because

1. You will have something to do
2. Bragging Rights !!!
3. the phrase "Gotta Catch Them All" will lose its value :(
We will not lose, because we are not losers, we are lasers~

Seems like it was an interesting idea, but the original pokedex has too much value and too many elements that could be used in PU.

Wait, what is the purpose of the pokedex if you are storing the information of the pokemon in the pc? :-\
No one can go back and change a bad beginning; but anyone can start now and create a successful ending.
If a problem can be solved, no need to worry about it. If it cannot be solved what is the use of worrying?

QFT
pokedex is made so we don't have to go look at pc for info

As in the cartoon version of Pokemon. Each time "Ash" chances upon a pokemon he's unsure of or have not seen before, the pokedex comes in handy where it tells user the basic information onf the particular Pokemon. Same concept can be used in the PU, but when you catch the pokemon you'll get the full details. That way the pokedex is usesful for first timers playing the game and also challenging as to fill up your pokedex u need to actually capture it.

To add on it maybe, after a user catches all pokemon and it's pokedex is completes. User will ear a Pokedex badges. the badge should look like a mini pokedex. Cool yet challenging right?

The pokedex badge idea sounds pretty cool but you should probably get something a little more than that for a completing the pokedex like a unique item or a ton of exp or maybe depending when Generation V is released into the game the ability to go to an area with gen 5 pokemon and maybe receive a gen 5 starter
