We have an IRC channel, and I don't see how that is hard to use...

I guess we need a voice recognition widget to further reduce the required steps. Scream "I WANT TO CHAT" and the chat window opens up.

In all seriousness, if you want to use chat/IRC, use Mibbit.com, or an IRC client such as Icechat, mIRC, Chatzilla...etc.

There actually used to be a shoutbox, but it got removed due to the large amounts of spam.
