something not to have
« on: March 14, 2010, 01:13:17 AM »
So I recently was looking up other online pokemon games to see what this game could possibly be like.  In the process I came accross Pokemon Indigo.... Possibly the worst of free pokemon game ever.  It has a terrible control system and was slow, but thats not the point i'm trying to reach.  The worst parts where that you could buy anything you wanted (including masterballs) at the first of the game.  Second, there was this room in which a person could make and they could put any pokemon they wanted into it and the level range of the pokemon that reside in the player made room.  Anyone was allowed in and and thats what killed me.  A person with a level 1 pokemon enters the room, finds a level 50, and now does'nt have to train for like the first 6 gyms.  I reccomend not putting in a feature like that.  It requires no effort for the player and it also gets boring within the first hour.

I do not think any of these things are an issue for PU.

I agree that Pokemon Indigo is pretty horrible... It's slow, the maps are usually crowded, you can find a shiny pokemon every ten steps, there is no rarity system, the types don't match up correctly for most pokemon, half of the moves [For example, stat reducing and increasing moves] have no effect or can't be used, and it's full of glitches.

But it is a web browser based game; Pokemon Universe, from what I've seen, requires you to download the game and open it separately and is more accurate than other games. You have to actually work in this game instead of just using an easily obtained master ball on a high leveled legendary and finishing the game within five minutes...

Wow I've never played pokemon indigo, and now i don't think I ever will.
Pokemon Universe will be nothing like that, and from what I've seen and heard this game will definitely top all other online pokemon games. I'm proud to be one of the first 50 who will test the game. :]

I agree also Pokemon Indigo is a game that is just a disgrace to pokemon games. Poorly though out and put together. Pretty much pointless and no way to communicate with eachother and all people do is hack it idk why but they do. Its a really worthless game.
