Seriously? They made another fire/fighting starter? I mean it was cool when they made Blaziken, and I don't bash Infernape, but this will not fly.

I'm glad the final evo of the water starter looks cool, though. *whew* Though the mustache looks a little silly, it looks like this will be an offensive water type.

I wonder why they made every grass starter based on reptiles.

Anyone notice the monkey AND Deer have multiple forms?

O_0

The Deer has indeed multiple forms.

The monkey however doesn't. Why? Because they are three different pokemons.

Yanappu - Grass - Grass Monkey Pokemon - 0.6m - 10.5kg - Gluttony. It knows Acrobat.

Baoppu - Fire - High Temperature Pokemon - 0.6m - 11.0kg - Gluttony. Knows a new move called "Flame Burst" which damages nearby opponents.

Hiyappu - Water - Wave Splash Pokemon - 0.6m - 13.5kg - Gluttony. Knows a new move called "Boiling Water" which is Water-type but can Burn.

They are used to promote the 3v3 battles and most likely also in the first gym in the games. (You'll only battle the one that has an advantage upon your starter.)

Any Reason They look so similar?
By loving so many, I have touched their lives and helped them rebirth as well. To be strong is to instill strength in another.

A water type attack that causes a burn? Interesting. I think that's the first move, sans tri attack, that causes burns but isn't a fire type move. I think it's good that they're coming out with water moves that induce status effects.

Any Reason They look so similar?

Well. Why do you think that Minun and Plusle looks so similar?

They were used to promote the 2v2 battling in generation 3.

So why is it that these looks so similar too?

Allow me to quote myself

That's a good point. I just hope that the monkeys evolve to more powerful creatures, otherwise they'll wind up like Plusle and Minun. No serious battler would use them because they're too weak. Fortunately the three monkeys are different types, so they won't all go down to one attack like the two mice wil to earthquake.

It dissapointed me too when it looked like ANOTHER fire/fighting starter. The Grass starter looks like it may be a Dragon type though... It succeeded where Charizard and Sceptile failed.

It kind of reminds me of Milotic, being a kind of pretty serpent.

Game Freak seems to be going out of their way to make redundant Pokemon in this generation; first we had another Fire / Fighting starter. Now we have a Fire Monkey. I'm almost betting that he will be part Fighting. Just because that would really chansey with us.

Yeah, that's one of the biggest nitpicks I have about this series. Too many pokemon, and this is a big factor in it.

Isshu's Fighting-type Legendary trio, as you can see below. The blue one is Steel/Fighting, the gray one is Rock/Fighting, and the green one is Grass/Fighting. Like Entei, Suicune, and Raikou, the Fighting-type Pokemon roam their home region and can be encountered at any time*.

Which ones? I'd say none of them look like Palkia, though I might be able to see Heatran or Dialga.
