You don't necessarily have to have the message appear in the chat box. You could have it just appear over battlers head. I don't think people that are out of distance of the battle, or even close but not able to see the player, will care if someone is battling.

**EDIT: I also have another idea. When people go into battle, there player and whatever else they are fighting, should disappear also. I played the game "Dofus" for a little bit and when battling a monster, the player would disappear.

In this SZ are we  going to have to put berries in the berry holders if we want to attract a better pokemon then, say, oddish. I always hated doing that because I never knew what to put in the holder.

Having this game with mixed pokemon is definitely the best idea. Not only will it make the game more diverse, but also many more people will be attracted to the game, depending on what gen of pokemon they like. Having it limited to one gen could create the game to become boring because you have been seeing the same thing for so long.

Would it be possible to create new evolutions for certain pokemon that don't have a second form? I realize this would take a major amount of brainstorming and artwork but it might make the game a little bit more interesting. Take chimeco for example, this is a small but strong pokemon and it is also quit rare. You would think that it might evolve because of its size, just like bug pokemon. If it had another form it might be a little bit more exciting and just make the gameplay look a little better.

My favorite pokemon type is definitely psycic. Although there defense and HP arent very good, the psycic attacks are very strong and affect most other pokemon types.
