I don't know if anyone have post this idea before, if it does I'm sorry. I just have an idea to make the game more interesting. Should we make and event that gave everyone an eggs to raise, and after x numbers of step the players walk, the eggs hatch. The pokemon will be random, they can contain starter too. If you have luck, you will get rare pokemon, if you dont have luck you might have pidgey

In short, you mean:
For an Event, everyone can get a Pokemon Egg. The Pokemon that hatches -(must be basic, and non-legend..)- is completely random.

I really like this idea. I'd say having this event every 3-6 months would be a good thing.

Well since it can be anything and non-legendary, I think its pretty fair. Especially since even if you get a rare pokemon, it will still be a baby and you will have to train it to make it strong.

I know it's hard for you, but just TRY not shooting your mouth off without reading up a bit on the subject and explaining yourself.
I don't see any reason why this wouldn't be used, besides the simple matter of "Why?".
Perhaps the egg would make a nice Delibirdmas present.

So far there is no valid reason to give random pokemon away at random occasions. Whether it be every 6 month or every 6th year. wouldn't matter.

I always found when i wanted a certain pokemon egg i always got my pokemon to mate with a ditto and i would always get that pokemon in that egg will that be in this game.

Yes, if you're asking if breeding will be implemented. But bear in mind that genderless pokemon and certain exceptions don't get eggs.

How about if instead, the egg hatched into a Pokemon from a small group of pre-selected Pokemon?

You don't have to use a ditto. The pokemon that hatches is always the same species as the mother.

You don't have to use a ditto. The pokemon that hatches is always the same species as the mother.
Actually, as long as the parents have the same egg group, you'll get an egg which is along the evolutionary line of the mother.
Otherwise, you don't get any egg.

I know that, I meant if the mother and father are from the same egg group. I didn't think that I needed to say that :-\ Anyone who knows anything about breeding knows that.
