I haven't made any progress with the windows. It's a steep learning curve, but I'll work on it.

Oh my god... they are undescribably good!
-
you did those your self?! wow...
-
Those are f*cking awesome
-
These are indeed very nice sketches, however there are some things you must keep in mind.
- You have to measure them in our tile dimension (48^2). I don't think the door will fit our characters for instance.
- Submitted work should be complete. Otherwise you're fully welcome to make a normal art thread if you want feedback or ideas. :)
Other than that.
Keep up the good work.

Don't worry about the 72DPI too much. Normal screen graphics = 72DPI.
As for that grid. if those boxes are 48x48 pixels, then you should know that one and a half of those boxes is normal for a door, since the character sprite is 48x48.

Nice work ;)

Great work!
But, this is still too big.

Compared to the tiles used in game

Also, remember that tiles are like blocks. You should make a symetric art with repeated tiles to save game file space.

Nice work :)
Only thing which I find strange are the storeys, they seem to be much smaller, especially for the middle storeys. Attics are small, yes... but storeys?
-
Now we're talking. Great work! :)

However, it looks a little bit misplaced in our line of graphics. Adding a few more details and such to the house will help a lot.
-
Um... couple of more things to point out.
Try inserting shadow on the walls just below the roof.
The shadows for the two right columns don't match those of the left columns. Try making the shadows all on the right of the columns?

That is the house I want!

Added some variations of my first model.

The left part of the last-right one looks a bit weird :o
-
As kamaran stated. The right part of the top roof shading is either too wide or too dark.
Great work though. :)
-
Yes, very good, apart from the shade which is too dark. A lighter tone would just make it :)
I'll number the images 1, 2, 3, etc.
1. Front shadow of columns can stop earlier, for example, follow the shade they project on the wall. (where the shade stops on the wall, stop the shade on the ground too)
2-5. I think that removing the shade from the bottom of the front walls would be better. Same note as 1, for no. 5 concerning the shade made by the left part of the building.
