Frenchfry has never opened an RP before, so please just bear with me. I needed to be the one to propose this because I will not trust anyone else to do the actual game justice.
Disgaea PoF take place in - surprise - the Disgaea Universe. A few fans of the series might know where "Presence of Favoritism" came from. Disgaea is populated by many alternate worlds, known as Netherworlds, populated by beings - human-resemblant or otherwise - called Demons. Each Netherworld is unique, and each has an Overlord, the most powerful demon in said Netherworld and their leader. Technically, there is also Celestia and the Human world, but we don't care about them right now.
In general, Demons are not nice people. Most of them are selfish and violent, which is viewed by the "Dark Assembly" - A Netherworld's government body, as a good thing. Regardless, there are still very many heroic demons, several of them even being Overlords.
You are a demon in the Netherworld known as Sanctum, a slightly-less-heartless than usual world. Sanctum's Overlord Yuiska (http://images.wikia.com/disgaea/en/images/5/5b/Female_Fighter_Sketch_d3.jpg) has recently left to challenge Supreme Overlord Baal, rather absentmindedly forgetting to leave a vassal in charge during her absence. And, seeing as Baal is the single most powerful being in the universe, she'll be busy for a while.
In the meantime, a Demon Lord by the name of Lloyd has taken over, and, unlike Yuiska, he is a particularly iron-handed ruler, as well as extremely greedy. Mister Lloyd must die, and WE have to make that happen, because all the Unique characters are off being lazy.
All players must have their character be one of these (http://disgaea.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_Disgaea_3_Classes) classes. Don't worry, you have a lot of choices, not all of which are human. Dragons and dragon-based monsters (With the exception of Holy Dragons), Rifle Demons, Wood Giants and Majins are not allowed, due to them being overpowered.
*UPDATE*
In the games, disgaea is Turn-based, with Stats and Levels, which would be needlessly complex for an RP. The action here will be standard, not turn-based or stat-based by any means, though classes will still have their advantages and disadvantages. However, we can safely assume there is still HP involved, which is why you won't be killed just from being hit once, unless you're a healer being hit by a buffed-up Rifle Demon.
If you DO die? Sucks for you, because the Dark Hospital is on vacation right now. If you die, you stay dead. So don't die.
Everyone will be starting in a village called Knavesmire. Fitting might it be, that's a legit town name.

RP Start
Cedric had virtually no proficiency with a sword. Or any weapon besides his pistol, for that matter. For most people, that would be a problem. Not for Cedric. In fact, his uselessness with a sword was a boon. It meant he could plunge one into his heart, qualifications for a critical hit, and not even remove all of his health.
Taking up a cheap, dull sword coated in rust, Cedric put the blade to his chest, grinning madly and slipping the blade between his ribs, relishing the pain as it ripped through his body. When the tip of the sword had extended a good foot out of his back, Cedric tapped his heart, triggering the appearance of a small, mostly black bar directly above his head. His HP bar. out of twenty Hit points, he had four remaining.
"Hehehe... cutting it pretty close, but damn... feels good."
Cedric turned around, looking for someone he hadn't scared with his own addiction to pain yet. He enjoyed making people scream from his near-fatal injuries almost as much as he enjoyed getting them.

I watch as Cedric creepily enjoys his pain. I show no expression of fear or disgust, as I was taught, but I can't resist squinting a little as he impales his heart. I quickly make myself look tall. Nothing scares me. I hope.
"Now.. what was that all about?"

Cedric faced the source of the voice. A ninja.
"Heeeeeey, backstabber. You wouldn't happen to have any napkins, wouldja? Blood doesn't mix well with the pants, ya know?"

In Knaveville, I wandered about, looking for somebody.
Seeing as none of my memories remained, I didn't know as to whom.
Then, it happened. I came upon a scrappy young lad, with poor sword proficiency, apparently.
He had taken his blade, and shoved it through his heart.
Just the sight of blood mixing with rust made me cringe, but the aroma was ghastly. I had to cover my face, and look away, in order to stomach the gruesomeness.
"You, swordsman. Are you so poor with that sword that you can't properly execute a decent blow, even when your blade hits a vital area?"

Cedric redirected his gaze again, meeting yet another new face. What was a Celestian doing in the netherworld?
"Swordsman? What are you talkin' about, hun?"
He drew his pistol, firing a round into the dirt beneath the Angel.
"I'm a gunner. Name's Cedric."

Because you are the only one who knows how to use their weapon.
Well okay dood.
I go out the front door Why me dood?
I see a kid with a gun, and sword sticking out of his chest There he is dood.
I jump behind a bush and start watching the kid
Why was I supposed to make sure no one kills him dood?
Then I heard a voice in his head say Because I don't want him to die! I almost jumped.
Don't do that dood!
Just reminding you.
So I'm supposed to stop/kill anyone that wants to kill him dood?
Yes
Unfortunately mission under stood dood.
In my head I'm saying If he sees me he is gonna kill me dood.

"A Gunner? No wonder you are terrible with a sword. My name is Alora, nice to meet you Cedric, I think.."

"Hehe... What's Celestian doing in the Netherworld? You aren't an assassin, are ya? 'Cause if you are, sucks for you. Yuiska's off fighting Baal right now. And... you probably couldn't put a scratch on her anyway."

"An Assassin? No... well maybe... I don't know, I woke up here, in the Netherworld. I can't remember anything before that."

Cedric tipped his hat, revealing for a moment his Evil Eye, the inherent trait that makes Gunners so accurate.
"Welcome to the Netherworld, Angel. Name's Cedric. Out'a curiosity, what do you plan on doing now? You don't know how to get back to Celestia, do you?"

I get surprised by our little group starting to form. I lock eyes with Alora, and listen to her little conversation with Cedric to gather as much information as I can.

Cedric snapped back and forth between looking at the Angel and the Ninja.
"Really, guys? I have a goddamn sword going through my heart! Can I at least get an astounded gasp?"

Someone's hurt! Only 4HP remain! My senses alert me, but his aura was... enojoying it. I sighed, knowing much to well, who is the only person around to hurt himself for fun. Sheesh, every time I come across that guy, he has his old, rusty sword sticking out of him.
I make my towards him, and suddenly stop in my tracks. Angel! Despite my blind eyes, her aura was like a spark in middle of deep darkness. The celestial girl didn't seem to be offensive, rather confused. I managed to overhear some of their conversation, before I got to the group.
"Hey, masohistic gunner! Having fun again are we?" I complained.
But's my duty to heal anoyne that suffered damage, no matter if they liked it. "Stay still, you don't want to lose your remaining HP before I pull this rusty thing out of you." Casting a healing spell, I slowly pull the sword out, wound closing up. Finally, I stand there, before the mad gunner with the cheap weapon in my hands, his wound closed, but his clothes still covered in blood.
Turning my attention back to this 'lost celestian', I examine her aura carefully. Tch, Angel auras are annoying above all. It makes it harder to accuretly indentify other deamons around. Like having a flashlight shine in your eyes while trying to see something in the darknes.

"Since I can't remember What Celestia is like, I'm not sure if I wanna go back... and I Know you have a sword going through your heart! It's really sickening me!."
Then a healer walked up to us, and pulled the sword out, healing as she did so.
"Thank you, Healer. That was really starting to make me uneasy."

"Uh, get used to it if you're gonna be staying close to Cedric, this guy does it all the time. I healed him from his masohistic ideas 4 times last week. Who knows how many times did he stab himself in between that period of time..." I feel my senses getting adapted to Angel's presence, so I loosen up a bit.
"So, you're Alora, I overheard the chat you had. Call me Aurora. It wouldn't be all that wise for you to stay here, not all deamons will lisent to you like we do, some might tear you to pieces without warning."
While chatting with celestial being, I carefully sensed around ninja's aura, looking for any signs of agression.

"Aurora... It's nice to meet somebody who doesn't have a sick mind. So what do you want to do?"

Cedric held his hand up between Alora and Aurora.
"Oh, no. No, no, no. Nonononono. NO. That isn't your decision to make."
Cedric held his arms out, motioning to the area around him.
"You heard the news 'bout Yuiska, didn't you? She split without appointing a temp ruler, and that Demon Lord Lloyd took over. Well, personally, I don't like the guy. So far, he's killed off quite a few people for virtually no reason. And in the REAL Netherworld, what do grown-ups do when they don't like the way a politician is running things?"
He grinned madly, leaning forward slightly.
"We kill 'em off! Let's do it."

"Sure, let's do it." I said, as tho it was the most common thing around. After all, this won't be the first, nor the last time some crappy politician will be killed. "That guy is as much of a sadist as you are of a masochist."
"So, I suppose you have a plan little gunner?" I smirked, rubbing my heavy handcuffs, the eternal curse of healers. "I don't belive the two of us would be enough to take down any overlord at all."

Cedric froze, hand in the air, mouth half open. Even his poncho seemed to have stopped being blown by the wind for a moment.
Then everything resumed, and he limbered around the group.
"Hehe.... Of course I've got a plan, and it'll work even better if the Ninja and the Celestian could take time out of their busy schedule of doing nothing to lend a hand. Angels are top-notch archers, I hear."
He noticed a small group of Petite Orcs gathered next to a nearby house.
"All we gotta do is take a proper, extremely long path to get to the man. And all the demons we kill off on the way will level us up enough where we could take him!"
Cedric unholsered his gun, aiming at the back of the head of one of the Orcs. Turning his head to Aurora, he smiled, pulling the trigger, planting a round in the Orc and leaving him with severely cut HP.

I facepalmed, it was so obvious he thought of that plan just now. Oh, my he's going to get us all killed. "Unless we're really lucky, you're getting us instant-killed, Cedric. But I guess I'd rather die than have that idoit for ruler."
Sensing Orc's HP get severly cut in one hit, I was fairly impressed. Well, maybe we do have a chance of living trough. But only with help of that Ninja, and possibly Alora as well. "You've got skills little masochist. Let me assist you." I said, casting friendly buffs on him.

Siriana heard a conversation and seen a bullet hit the back of one of the Petite Orcs' head, serverly cutting down the Hp. She shot an arrow sky high, landing in another Petite Orc head, slitting the helmet in three and dealing excessive damage.

I shiverd down my spine as I felt someone deal severe damage to one of the Orcs, and that someone wasn't masohistic kid I just buffed. I stopped focusing my senses on Orchs and gunner, but rather searched for source of attack. It was a little girl... an archer? Aura could be the same as healer's... Well, with such damage output, heals should be crap. I chucked to myself.
"You, girl behing the scene, get out and tell us who you are!" Aurora didn't like the shady approach, it made the new healer seem like she was hiding something. Could she be a traitor? Lloyd's spy...?

Siriana was comprimised. she came out of hiding and approched the healer. The orc that had been hit with her arrow charged toward the healer preparing to crush her skull thinking she did it. She jumped and shot the latter in the face, making it dissapear.
Siriana's the name. Healing and bows are my game.

Cedric dropped another round into the Orc, finishing it off.
"Would you two shut up and get to work?"
One of the remaining Orcs landed a blow on Cedric, dropping his HP by six points. Had he not been healed earlier, that would have killed him.

Siriana shot an arrow at the foot of the Orc, stopping his movement.

I stopped casting my shield (for defense against incoming Orc), as I sensed the deamon disappearing by Siriana's attack. Well, no need for me to consume energy on that than... Like I wouldn't be able to kill Orc that's nearly out of HP... gee, I might be a 100% healer, but it's not like I don't know any offensive chants.
"Thank you, Siriana. My name is Aurora, being specialized in healing is my game" I intentionally added a bit of sarcasm to the last part of sentence. After all, who says stuff heroically like that nowdays in Netherworld; we say who we are and than we kill eachother... most of the time. Just by-the-way I healed Cedric to full HP, than started to cast my offensive spell and finished off the remaining Orc.

Cedric landed a critical hit on the final distant Orc, causing an instant death.
He checked his HP. His max had increased slightly.
"Well, isn't that nice? See, girl? This plan is flawless."

I have a feeling we're going to be the most needed demons here, but i'm still new to this.

"We'll see about it being flawless once we face a real battle." I said, noticing my HP increased a bit as well. "For now, let's try to look for something nice to kill and get some levels..." I said, sensing around for a fairly weak enemy.
"If you mean 'the most needed' by the whole little group starting to form being most needed for the Netherworld, than I have to give you reality check. We actually seem like a bunch of crazy individuals, sick of politics, that will now go and kill the most overpowerd deamon far around - the overlord. But if you mean that healers like you and me are are most needed, than yes, you're quite right, as HP never did and never will restore itself." I gave a smile to younger deamon next to me.

Issac spotted a group in the distance. Thinking to himself, Maybe they'll have a use for my flames. If not they can end up as this poor traveler here.
Issac looked down at the scorched body of the traveler, who had no use for his flames. Looking up Issac began to walk towards the group.

Siriana was the first to notice a Red Skull coming their way.

I flinched, as I sensed Siriana's aura turn its attention other way. Now, directing my senses in that direction, I noticed a Skull approaching. A Skull, whose arua revealed he just killed somebody. Sensing further, I could faintly sense a burned body, but there was no heals that could bring that body back to life.
Stepping a bit in front of Siriana, I took cautious, but not oofensive stance and silently, without skull noticing casted a shield that reduced any magicall damage taken by 50%, enough for skull to cast a spell and them to survive.
"Red, skul.. What do you want?" I said clamly, with a formal voice.

Issac spoke calmly, the recent burning kept his urges under complete control.
It's not what do I want. It's what do you need. Are you by any chance in need of someone who can burn things?

"Cedric, Aurora... I hate fighting, and I doubt I will be of much use to you... but I will go with you."
I began casting buffs for Movement speed and extra Experience, as I noticed another healer with a bow, and a Red Skull approach our group.
All the while, Cedric and the Healer killed a few Orcs, getting the entire party leveled up.
The Red Skull seemed hostile at first, but seemed friendly by asking what we needed.
"Why not come with us, we need all the help we can get... How about if you persuade that Ninja over there to join us, you can come too."

Siriana noticed a Mothman heading towasrds them from the sky.
When I launch my arrow, set it on fire.
She launched her arrow.

"Oh come on, it's a Red Skull, this should be easy.... Here, I'll even hold it in place for you."

Issac nodded then launched a fireball into the air. It hit the Arrow mid flight.
Laughing as he talked.
It seems we may get along. Heh heh.

The arrow went through the eye of the Mothman, then it exploded. Siriana leveled up.
It would seem so.

Issac leveled up.
So, what are the goals of this group, what is our purpose?

"Our goal is to kill the Demon Lord, Lloyd, granted I won't be doing the killing.."

"Yeah, that's about it, but said roughly. We will first travel for a while gaining experience and knowlege to actually bring down that politic pest. But the goal is indeed to have Lloyd in grave." I applied buffs to everyone while talking.
"Oh, and Alora even if you just buff, you're of some use, but sheesh, I hope your scent and aura get coverd up by ours.. you just radiate LOVE and PEACE and LIGHT all around you. Excuse me for saying such words guys..." Just now I noticed more and more deamons slowly swarming around, obviosly attracted my Alora's presence. "On the other hand, you're like a lure to all the things we have to kill in order to get stronger. That is, a very good thing... at least most of the time." I finished by applying some more shields around team.

Many demons started surrounding us, mainly me.
I got scared, and pushed everything away with a Light Wave.

i jump out of the bush and, start trying to kill this one demon, i don't Evan scratch it I am officially a terrible at fighting dood.
i then blown away by a light wave I'm trying to help don't throw me around bad things could happen dood!

"A prinny?... mehhh, if its important enough, it'll be friendly..."

The squabble between demons pushed on. Youki decided he would join in to speed things up.
With one hand on one of his swords, Tengoku's hilt, he begins to make his way towards the skirmish.

Issac readied a fireball.
Heh heh heh... More fun.
Issac launched the fireball at one of the closer demons, severely cutting it's HP. He then turned to the archer,
Wanna try the flaming arrow trick again?

"Skull, make a firewall around us if you can, if Siriana shots multiple arrows trough that, we get a good combo." I was now keeping party at full HP without any problems, keeping buffs in place and assisting where needed. "Alllso, Siriana, focus on damage, I have no problems covering all the healing and buffs needed."
Just now I noticed another person joining the fun. I examine his aura for a second, plenty of time to determinate that he's a Samurai, Male Samurai for that matter. "Well, well, who may you be joining the fun like that?" I asked him without negelecting my duties as a healer.

I walked into the town nearest to the one I had just burned. Stupid humans, why do you think you can kill me. I am Koga, a demon! The villages were looking at me, I could sense their fear. I walked into the hotel, I walked up to the owner and asked for a room. They gave me a key and told me to have a good night... I hopped I would...

I dodge a demon.
What should I do dood?
I asked the one who was telling every one what to do (that's you sora)

I could not sleep, I was getting a feeling that some one close was killing Demons. I got out of the bed and left the motel. I found a tall hill and listened. In the distance I could hear fighting, I ran in the direction of the battle...

Siriana shot about 50 arrows through the wall of fire, hearing screams after each shot.

After putting up the firewall, Issac spoke.
Fun, FUn, FUN! The demons they are burning. Hahhahaha!
Issac launched fireballs into the firewall. They picked up more power from the wall and severely damaged the demons they hit.

Arrows and fire surrounded one group.((For people who haven't rp'd with me, and forget basic literature,sentences in italics are thought.))
Well, that leaves me to the ones outside
In a single movement of unsheathing, swinging and returning Tengoku to its sheath, Youki cuts an enemy with 50% of his health remaining in half.

I reached the battle ground and could see that my fellow demons were getting their buts kicked. I was thinking of helping when a fire wall went up, those were some strong people... What the hell. I ran down and made my presence known...
Hey Ass Holes! over here! Pick on some one your own size!!!

Siriana calculated the voice projection, direction, and velocity of the voice before Shooting it sky high.

One of them shot an arrow at me, pathetic. I drew my sword and cut the arrow in half with one motion.
Bring it!

Issac heard the challenge and grinned.
Another demon to burn. Hahaha...
Issac grabbed his Sun staff. Waving it in the air, Issac sent a wave of fire at the voice.

Siriana then Shot a Mana arrow straight through the fire wall, increasing the damage and height of Issac's fire wave.

Cedric walked through the wall of fire into the bloody field around them.. With his fire resistance, it barely even scathed him. Perhaps he should have been a bit more specific about his plan.
"Will you people stop killing everything that moves, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!?"
Cedric turned around, aiming his gun at the party.
A few of the the attacking demons around him slowed their approach to a stop. A fighter here, a ghost there. The usual demons in places like his town.
"Have you considered for a moment that we could use more soldiers for this particular venture? Maybe we can slow down the mass murder, just for a second?"

Siriana felt her hair, of all things, to check her level. She leveled up about 5 times form what she and Issac did kill.
Well, I'm satisfied now, me at 7. What ever else I do is for self defense or to see blood from others.

I say as I try to escape

Issac had leveled up a bunch of times reaching level 9. Turning towards the one who spoke, Issac gave his response, simply:
Who should I burn then? You? HAHAHAHA!
Laughing at his own words, Issac pulled himself together.
Well then, What do you suggest we do about the rest of the attacking demons?

Cedric turned to the crowd, putting his gun away.
"Listen up, kids. We're going to kill Lloyd. The little bastard has had it too good for too long, and it doesn't look like any of Yuiska's legendary Four will be coming to take him out anytime soon. Anyone interested?"
Silence. A few of the attackers walked away.

One of them launched a fire wave at me. I side steeped the attack and charged them...

Siriana heard a prinny voice, then shot an arrow to the ground, right inbetween its legs
Where do you think you're going, Prinny?
She then seen a small shine and turned her head, only to find someone with a word charge towards them.
Guys.

Some high-and-mighty Samurai made a mad dash towards the party. Drawing his pistol again, Cedric took aim at the Ronin.
"SIT your five-dollar ass down, before I make change!"

I decied to take the healer out first... I lunged at her with a perfectly aimed slice at her throat...(right?)

Cedric pulled the trigger, noticing pleasantly that he'd gotten his first skill. Tri-burst. Three rounds were launched at the Samurai.

Three bullets hit my side. I side stepped to see who attacked me. A gunner... I lunged at his throat. I hopped to do as much damage as I could to this person...

Cedric didn't try to dodge the blade. Rather, he took a step back, causing the sword to land itself in his stomach, preventing a fatal critical hit. His newfound levels and many buffs kept him alive.
"Hehe. C'mon, Samurai. You hit like a girl."
Cedric put his gun to the Ronin's chin.
"Now, at this level, I doubt you've got the health left to survive a crit, especially given the horrible HP and defense of Samurai, so why don't you sit down, and shut up? There's no way you want this damn Demon Lord around anymore."

This guy was good... I dropped my sword and sat down.
The Demon Lord? Who's that?

The skirmish ended, and now another samurai was attacking the party that remained. He had no concept of bushido, nor of technique. He just lunged at his targets without a second thought.
Pathetic
Making his way to the party, he calls out to the other samurai.
Fool! Stop disgracing our swordsmanship!

HAHAHAHAhAHAHA!
Issac laughed aloud as the samurai stabbed the gunner in the stomach.
He hits like a girl, HAHAHA! I bet he burns like one too! hahaha...

Cedric lowered his gun. Was this guy for real?
"Overlord Yuiska went off to fight Baal, the 'Supreme Overlord'. Now, she's a nice girl, yeah, but she's pretty absentminded sometimes. In this case, she brought all four of her true-blue vassals with her, including Sephiroth, her former tutor, and rumored superior. Now, without Sephiroth or any of the other vassals too keep everything tied down with her gone, the spot for Overlord was up for grabs. Incidentally, it was taken by some shmuck of a Demon Lord named Lloyd. He's a terrible leader, and as selfish as the rest of these two-bit demons around here. He needs to go. Soon. We're going to make that happen. YOU, Samurai, now have a choice. Join us, or we kill you and see how much EXP you give off."

All of this talk about Lyod this and Evil bastard that, made Issac bored. Walking over to the Prinny, He began to cast tiny fireballs at it.

Gunner! You seem to be in charge here. Where might I find the Overlord's palace?

I pulled out a curved metal tube, from my pouch and, deflect the fire balls back at him
"I am prepared for almost anything dood."

Cedric turned to face the new demon. Another samurai, by the way he talked. He didn't look anything like them, though.
"Hehe... You aren't thinking about taking down Lloyd yourself, are ya? Well, instructor, unless you happen to be level one thousand, that isn't gonna be going down."

I wasn't planning to. Im here to plan out the assault and to lead the Saigyouji clan to the castle gates. This is merely preparation.

Siriana Healed herself from the Slit on her throat from 2 hp. Had it not been for the buffs, she'd be dead. She then aimed at the Samurai's head, ready to kill on sight.

Hmmm... prepared. You're no fun.
Issac turned his attention towards the group of people who were still talking.
The Healer who had asked him to help with her arrows had her bow aimed at the samurai who had stabbed the gunner.
Issac readied a fireball, figuring if she fired he'd at least make it a fire arrow.

"An assault?"
Cedric holstered his gun, taking a limber step in the stranger's direction.
"Well, there's just one problem with that. Nobody knows where Yuiska's castle is. Some people say it's at the base of the mountains up north, others say it's in a magic bubble of oxygen at the bottom of the Mesopotamian sea. Personally, I think it's gotta be about... Thirty-four degrees east, forty-two degrees north. That would put it smack in the middle of a mountain range, which is a pretty good place to be when you want a secretive place to live."

(OHSNAP! 6 pages of roleplay all while i'm asleep?! I hate my timezone. I'm just gonna notice everything that happened, without speaking, if I can :x)
I snap out of my daydream, and notice three more demons join the party. After a string of attacks, I walk up near Aurora as paranoia that we'll be ambushed.

I took a step back when I sensed another samurai approaching. He had seemingly less experience in battle against anything that thinks. What an idiot, he went for secondary healer instead of me. I thought when I sensed Siriana's HP being cut to only 2. Looks like he wasn't quite aware of the fact that Siriana was indeed a healer, but a bit of archer as well. I sighed as he stabbed Cedric. Stabbing him bluntly, face-foward like that... no good. I allways thought samurai where noble, full of dignity and stuff, he was nothing like I imagined.
When I was about to heal Siriana from his blow, I noticed she could very well do it herself. Right now, I did not by all means want to expose myself.
Just than I saw a ninja approaching. "Well, did you finally return in reality?" I said quitely to him while I stop Cedric's bleeding from afar, figuring I should heal him fully once that sword is out of his stomach.
"So, Mr. Ninja... Are you thinking about joining us? I belive you heard what gunner here said, we're taking down that good-for-nothing Lloyd." I asked, leaning a bit towards him.

After healing Cedric when he took a large hit, the lady walks up to me.
"Uhh.. yes. I will join. The name's Harold, pleasure meeting you all."

"Well, Harold I belive the pleasure is ours as well. A ninja is indeed and important bonus to out party." I said with a smile.
Now we had quite the team. A masohistic gunner, half healer, half archer, pyromanic red skull - about as crazy as the gunner, two samurai, one of them being impulsive and charge at opponents with no hesitation, a ninja, a lost celestian that attracts deamons, and myself - a healer only. Possibly, we'll drag that prinny along as well.
"Well, looking at the team, we'll have to assasinate Llyod rather than walk trough the front door..." I mumbled to myself.

I looked around and could tell that they had all but forgoten about me. I shethed my sword and went to stand up when the healer pointed an arrow at my face.
I might not be good with a sword, but I know how to fight with my fist very well...

Hearing hot-headed samurai threat Siriana while I finished healing Cedric, I couldn't help but to let out a chuckle. "You aren't in the right place to threaten us" I said, turning to the said samurai. "Why don't you just clam down, there's no way you could go agains all of us only with your fists, with so many weapons pointing at you."

I look at the Samurai, and narrow my eyes, agreeing with what Aurora said. I crack my knuckles, as they are the best weapon any ninja can handle.

Why do they always have to be right? What a loser I thought. I can terrorize unarmed people, but can't even escape from like 6 people...
Humph... So, what are you going to do. Sit here and talk all day or get to the point?

The fact is, there is some evil bastard doing things they don't like. And they have agreed to let me burn him and anything that gets in our way. I don't care what I'm doing as long as I can burn people and demons... So are you in? Or do I have to reduce you to ashes where you stand?

"I belive it was alredy explained, but we're going to take down Lloya, teh current overlord, for he has killed, imprisioned, tortured people for virtually no reason. Basically, we're just going to do what deamons do when we don't like the ruler. So, now you have 2 choices - 1.) You acompany our little group and stay loyal to us by all means, or 2.) We kill you on spot." I remained clam like allways, he didn't have much to choose from anyway. "So what is it going to be?"
I looked around, noticing some deamons where still disturbed by Alora's presence. "I think it's better if we keep moving, if we stay on one spot, Alora can eventually attract more than we can handle."

Cedric's hat had been through a lot. It had been shot twice, and gotten itself a nice curved cut from a warrior, making a rough-looking face. In the netherworld, that was enough to slap sentience on it and call it alive. Its powers of communication, however, only reached those it was in direct contact with.
"Alright, let's get going. I don't want to be here when the next wave shows up."
Cedric inhaled slightly, catching the scent of divinity radiating from the angel.
"And would someone please get that woman something to cover up her trail?"

Looks like the decision was made for me.
I said it while I looked at the arrow pointed at my head. I stood up and sheathed my sword again.

Cedric considered the places they could go to simultaneously level up and gain insight as to the location of Yuiska's castle.
"Hm... Mesopotamia is a bit out of our level range, and we're pretty far away from Usa and Plenair's news station..."
As he thought, his gaze drifted to the forest barely visible on the horizon. Wayward Woods.
"Aha! Perfect! We're heading to the woods over there. They're notoriously ever-changing, but the monsters within it are all just a few levels above us. With a bit of coordination, we could jump quite a bit on our path to Demon Lord-level powers. Plus, I hear there's pretty good equipment hidden somewhere in there."

Upon hearing that the group was to travel to the nearby woods, Issac became excited. He thought to himself.
I wonder if they will let me burn down the entire wood?
Laughing as he spoke.
So before we go, what are all your names? I'm Issac, the red skull and it sure is nice to be traveling again. It's much better than the good old mental facility I stayed at for a while. Things burn much better out here.

The next I knew, all non-allies froze, and then I could relax..
"I hate to sound like a hypocrite, but I say we should just go already, I mean, really, We have been standing in the middle of a demon-infested town for HOW LONG? I say we go, before my time spell wears off."
((Just so you guys know, Alora casts spells when she gets scared, almost like a state of panic. Those spells will be mainly buffs, or status effects, but like the Light Wave, She does have some attack spells.))

Youki turned around to watch the conflict between the archer and the other samurai.

Before the archer could shoot her arrows I had slammed her to the ground. I stabbed my sword into the ground next to her head and stood up.
Do it again, and you won't have a head.

Youki takes a few steps towards the scrabble just in case, making predictions of what each would do.

I pulled my sword out of the ground and Sheathed it. I offered my hand to help the archer up.

Siriana took only 1 damage from being slammed onto the ground. When she was slammed, the arrows shot at random hitting 5 random demons, where two of the demons each knocked a head off another demon. Siriana reached Lv 9.
She took the hand of the samurai and got up, smiling as her puipils turned completely black.
A lot later down the ever-lastng road, We will see who loses their head. I will look forward to our duel.
She surprisingly kissed him on the cheek. She then did a backflip jump to get away.

Humph, I might be the least experienced, but she is the most arrogant... I looked around and saw the other Samurai looking at me.

"Ha. Samurai. Freakin' drama queen is more like it."
He began making his way down the path to the woods.
"I'd highly recommend you stop trying to show off. Both of you. Unless, you know, you like getting hurt. I know I do..."

Jericho watched the group with his colorless eyes from a tree about 50 yards from where they stood. He silently chuckled to himself as they squabled with one another.
That prinny looks pretty tasty.
He continued to watch in the thick of the leaves as they prepared to move on.

"Eh, I don't have much else to think about, Cedric. Let's hear it then."

Cedric rubbed his hands together, grinning slightly.
"Well, once upon a time, Yuiska wasn't an all powerful Overlord. In fact, she wasn't even a Demon Lord. She was Yui, a fragile little fighter in another netherworld's army. She was under command of a Ninja by the name of Sephiroth, who was unique as a ninja in that he was a born leader.
Now, Yui wasn't much of a good fighter. For her level, not bad. But by this time the rest of the army had already broken the 100 barrier, and she had only just begun her journey. Now, Sephiroth decided that it would be in his platoon's best interest if he took some time off to train Yui personally.
"For a while, nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Then, Sephiroth noticed something unique about Yui. Her defense and attack were substantially higher than should have been possible for her level. By the time she had caught up with the rest of the soldiers, she had the defenses of an Adamant Knight and the attack of a samurai."
Slow down there cowboy. I'm having trouble keeping up.

Issac, completely uninterested in the story, began juggling fireballs has he walked. The juggling took all of his attention away from the boring story and Issac breathed a sigh of relief, for Issac could care less about the history of demons and people he would soon burn.

Walking backwards towards the forest, Cedric fixed his Evil Eye on the skull.
"You thinkin' something I should know about, fire eater?"

Looking up at the gunner, Issac lost sight of the fireballs and they crashed into the ground. The ground where each ball landed smoked furiously.
Nope! You may continue with your boring story.
Issac grinned and began juggling fireballs once again.

"You know, I'm considering it. He strikes me as the kinda guy that's gonna screw us all over even...

"Try some fire arrows, Issac. Just don't throw them just yet."
She put one short arrow in each fireball, taking 5 damage each from burns. She healed herself.
"You may continue with your story, Cedric."

"There isn't much left to say. If any of The Four were still here, we would be fine. Especially Sephiroth. That man could obliterate Lloyd without so much as scuffing up the polish on his shoes. Without them, the job of taking care of him falls to us."

Oh I wouldn't worry about me, as long as there is plenty to burn and that Archer/Healer sticks around, I'll be under control. We both agreed that we could get along, She could possibly be my first friend sooooo... If you don't hurt her and you keep the demons and people for me to burn coming, I don't see why our current arrangement can't work out.
Displaying great hand eye coordination, Issac said all this while still juggling the fire arrows.

Cedric pulled out his gun, turning around to see how considerably closer the trees had become. He was, in fact, face to face with a Mothman from the forest.
"Careful, newbies. These guys are a good five levels ahead of the fellas back at town. I'd say... fifteen, maybe more."
He aimed his pistol at the Mothman, pulling the trigger and scoring a nick.

Jericho walked along in the woods, just out of sight of the little band of warriors out to kill Lloyd.
They really shouldn't talk about their plan out loud. Lloyd's got goons everywhere listening in on peoples conversations. Hehe. Kinda like me.
The group had then noticed some mothmen at the other side of the path.
Lets see how well they do with these guys.

You know those arrows I put in your fireballs, Issac? Now's the time to throw them.

Issac flung the flaming arrows he had been juggling at the mothman the gunner had shot at. All three arrows hit, severely damaging the mothman. It slumped to the ground.
Issac then slammed his fist into the ground. A wall of fire surrounded the mothman, the flames moved closer together burning the mothman do death.
HAHAHA! Who's next in line to burn!?

Youki's movement was below average, he decided to let them come to him instead of the other way around.

Cedric took a hit from an Orc before taking advantage of his newfound Tri-Burst to kill it off.
Woods make nice cover. They keep me from getting torn up more.
Cedric stepped over the corpse into the woods, checking his surroundings before turning back to the monsters approaching his party.

Issac, Ready for another Mana Fire Wave?
She prepared the arrow.

Stepping foreward, Youki swings his shoto downwards at a 45 degree angle, slicing a mothman from shoulder to hip.

Cedric sighed, using what was left of his SP to take out one of the monsters surrounding the samurai.
Stop being a hero, chief. Check your left. See anything unusual?
What do you mea... hey, whats another humanoid doing here?
Stepping farther back into the woods, Cedric did what he could to approach the demon without being detected.

An Orc took a swing at Issac, who ducked and retaliated by engulfing his fist in flames and then upper cutting the Orc in the jaw. Clapping his hands together Issac sent a wave of flame the Orc, who rolled around on the ground burning.
HAHAHA!
Issac grabbed his staff and slammed it into the mouth of the Orc. Grinning wildly Issac set the Orcs mouth on fire, the fire slowly engulfed the Orc's whole body, killing it.
HAHAHA! This is too much fun!

Watching the gunner slip away from the action, Youki decides to follow in case he needed assistance.

I was walking silently with the group, healing any minor damage, such as burns when Siriana placed arrows in Issac's fireballs. The story seemed interesting to me. Unlike some people I knew who overlord was, but I didn't know much of Yuiska's past.
When the request for faster moving was made I grumbled to myself. I'm suppose to walk faster in this healer, damsel-like grown?!
Now that the group of deamons appeared, I took a swift step back, kept the heals coming and buffed party.

Seeing the flaming arrows, Issac thought up an idea.
He created a pillar of fire near Siriana.
Siriana, use that to light your arrows on fire whenever you need.
Issac then turned his attention back on the fray of combat. A mothman approached him. Issac sent a burst of fire into it's eyes blinding it. He then ran up to the mothman and jumped into the air. Issac hit the mothman in the head with a fiery kick, killing it.

I jumped into the nearest tree barley dodging the wave of fire.

I jumped out of the tree and sliced a moth man in half before it could hit the archer.

"Excuse me, I'm Aurora, Alora is the lost celestian." I said, not too offended. Our names where so similiar it was easy to mix them up.
I buffed Siriana again, than coverd her, preventing anything from breking her spell "Hey deam- I mean, everyone, take cover. You don't want to get hit by whatever she's chanting."

The orcs who were hit with the wave had backup, and they came charging.
... to execute the Shining Flare!
the flames Issac put around her were absorbed into the arrow as well as the buff of magic. When she shot the arrow, Siriana ran from the spot, the orcs chasing after her. A star appeared in the sky and shined brightly on the orcs. Suddenly, a volley of Flaming arrows with magical tips started piercing eyes of the latters. Some tried to run, but they only got their behinds burnt to a crisp, killing them. There were only two survivors, both having low health.
Samuri. Prinny. Wanna finish them off? That chant took a lot of my SP.

I jumped up and cut a few of them in half. I went up by two levels.

Siriana, Issac, and Aurora achiueved their expirence from that three way combo. Siriana reached lv 13.

The gunner drew near to Jerocho's hiding spot.
I see I've been discovered. Well, there's no use in running.
Jericho stood up and walked out of the undergrowth.
"That was an amazing show you put on just there. Just so dazzling with the swords and the arrows and the fire. I overheard your plan, which you guys shouldn't speak so loudly about, and I want in. Lloyd needs to be taken down, and your gonna need all the help you can get.

I was pleased with how Siriana's attack worked out and of course, with exp gain. For now, there weren't much more enemies arund, so I relaxed, my SP pretty worn out.
"I belive we will glady accept it. And you're right, we shouldn't speak so loud about our plans, so since everyone that's in this party at the moment knows our goal, I belive it is not needed to discuss them anymore, at least not so casually."
Just than, my senses caught presence of a mystical beast, that stepped out the bushes. I took a step foward, facing the beast dangerously close, but I wasn't afraid, its aura was not aggresive nor offensive. "I am Aurora, it's my pleasure to meet you."

Shadow had been hunting when the monsters attacked the group. He had watched, and marveled at their skills. He stayed in the bushes, not wanting to be seen, in case they would attack him. A woman walked towards him.
"I am Aurora, it's my pleasure to meet you."
Shadow concentrated, and reached out with his mind to speak to Aurora with telepathy.
"I'm Shadow."

I looked around to see if there were any more demons to kill, then sat down till the other returned. After a bit of looking stupid I stood back up and went into the woods and started practicing with my sword... I must have looked like an idiot...

I flinched for a second, I knew some bests could talk, but telepathy... "Shadow, I noticed you where spying on us... What is it that you want?" I asked, my voice relaxed, but my senses cautiously focused on the beast, for me to react at first sign of offense. Stayling clam was no easy matter, especially if you're staring at a gigant beast face to face.

"You're battling styles were... interesting. You work well as a team, which is going to be a very crucial ability if you want to kill Lloyd. I want to see Lloyd dead, and I'll help in any way I can."

I smiled to myself. It seems that a lot of deamons dislike Lloyd, what a plesant fact for us. "Well than, feel free to join our party as well." So many new deamons... soon we'll end up with a whole army.
I turnd to the rest of the group. "Hey, guys I feel chilly... Is it getting late or am I just imagining things?" This was the bad part of being blind - you never really knew what part of the day was it. Sure, my senses of people's auras made up for it, but it was like touching colorless shapes, rather than actually seeing.

Shadow didn't notice it before, but Aurora was blind. He spoke to everyone, this time without telepathy.
"It will be dark soon. We should get some wood for a fire, and find something to eat."

Why would nobody even TRY to oppose Lloyd, and suddenly, once you come around, everyone and their mom is ready and willing?
Cedric lifted his hat off his head.
"Hey, guys. Anyone willing to carry around my hat for a bit? I'm getting a bit sick of it."

I brought my sword against a tree and got it stuck fast. I looked around to make sure that no one was watching me. The stupid fools, they thought that I wanted Lloyd dead. When the time can I would reveal all...

The experience was satisfactory, but nothing too significant. Youki decided it was time to clean his blade off, and make his way back to the main group.
While the more offensive players were off swinging at the mothmen, Youki decided to observe from beside the healer.

Removing his staff from the burnt neck of a mothman Issac proclaimed.
Well, that was fun. Too bad it's over. I wanted to burn more demons.
Bing grew to level 14 during the fray.

"Actually, I'd like that Cedric. Can I wear your hat?"

The others had regrouped. I found the tree I had been instructed to find. Inside were instruction telling me to stay with them and learn all they knew. I put the note back and returned to the group.

BATTLE START*
About a couple dozen demons stood before us... mostly various Skulls.
I took my usual, defensive stance, and began casting buffs:

Speed Up
Blinding Light (Enemies have lower ACC)
SP Regen (Regen spells recover 2% per Second)

I went to draw my sword, but it was still stuck in the tree...

Shadow turned and saw a few dozen skulls. He used his evility, Assault Charge. He ran towards a skull, and stabbed it in the chest with the horn on his head, taking it's HP down to half. He jumped back before it could hit him, and ran behind it. He jumped at it, and pinned it to the ground. He sank his teeth into it's neck until it's HP was gone, and then jumped back, ready to dodge another attack.

The group seemed to have not noticed Jericho. He walked back into the woods. He looked back at the group and saw that various skulls were approaching. Silently creeping through the woods he came up behind the skulls. Covering the mouth of a blue skull, he yanks him into the woods and out of sight. Jericho then grabbed him by the ankles, and swung him around causing the skulls head to collide with a tree. The skull lost a considerable amount of HP and was disoriented. Jericho then made a quick punch to the throat to finish the skull.

Gah, not the Angel! Don't do this to me, Cedric!
Ignoring its pleas, Cedric held his hat out to the Angel, drawing his pistol with his other hand and firing on a Green Skull. His weakness was to wind, so they had to be the first to go.

i caught the fireball with the metal tube, and stuck my knife in the middle, the fire ball was split into 2 fireballs, and the shot out to ends, one hit a blue skull and a green skull,i repeated the thing were i split the fireball until the green and blue skull were dead, and they ran out. it worked dood!

Jericho pulled another behind, this one a green skull. He forced the skulls head downward, while bringing his knee up. The knee and temple collided and the skull fell to the ground unconscious. Jericho then picked it up and threw it back out into the battle.

Siriana dodged some Ice Shards from blue skulls, found some items that restored SP, tossed some to Aurora and to Issac, and ate the rest. She shot a Mana Arrow that penetrated through two Blue skulls and locked them to a tree. she shot three arrows. Two for the arms and one for the "boomer". They were unable to cast any spells.

Taking Cedric's hat, I placed it on my head, grinning.
"Hey, uh.... do you even have a name? Forget that.. "

I kept these buffs going, and I saw that I had no Choice.
I revealed my Astral Bow, and took aim. With the power of light filling in for the arrows that only Angel Trainees used, I fired at a Skull, and the shot pierced through, hitting another three Skulls.

Issac massed his fire energy to the top of his staff, creating a giant flaming mallet. Swinging wildly it burnt and sent flying anything that touched it.

Siriana seen the shot go through 4 skulls' skulls and was dumbfounded.

Siriana shot a Mana Arrow at the staff, making it do more damage.

In the midst of combat, many writers like to imagine that a warrior isn't thinking about anything but the fight. In Cedric's case, that was disgustingly wrong.
Hm... I wonder how hat's doing. maybe I should think of a name for him. I read somewhere, that once you name something, you get attached to it. I don't want to be attached to him. But what if I don't name him, and I'm stuck having to think of some roundabout verbose way of identifying my hat for the rest of the game? Isn't talking too much supposed to damage your lungs? Then again, my voice is already pretty scratchy, so I guess it doesn't matter.

Issac picked up an amulet one of the skulls had been wearing. Issac heard a voice in his head.
You're not my owner. Where is the skull who owns me.
I killed him easily
Oh, well then. Here's the rundown. I'm a spirit trapped inside an amulet. If you can learn to synchronize with me, I can increase your power. And if can master that you can even release my spirit for a short time as a summon and possibly even fuse with me... Are you listening?
Issac was burning some ants he saw crawling on the ground, he stopped for a moment and replied.
Uhhh... Sure. You can make my flames burn better.

The aura fades, and he opens his eyes again.

Cedric grabbed his hat away from the Angel's head, planting it back on his head.

Drawing his pistol, he put the barrel to the back of the Red Skull's head.
"Watch it, kid. You've got a nine millimeter aimed at your brain."

"Pyromaniacs can resist water very well... but not Backfire!"
She shot an arrow at the fire, a foot from Issac's feet, and it ignited. The arrow's fire canceled out his fire.

Youki laughs, swiping Tengoku across the mages torso.
Just because you're facing me I get a 30% attack boost. Samurais have the highest attack stat of any class, mages have terrbile defence. And to top it all off, I'm a higher tier than you are.

Mr. High and mighty over there. Don't be so sure of your abilities. If you haven't noticed, I'm not your ordinary red skull. You wouldn't get more than three steps closer before being reduced to ashes.

A small voice creeped into Issac's head.
Don't kill him yet, he thinks he removed me but, I'm fine. Back off now Issac, I've seen into your mind. You don't want to get locked away again do you?
Fine, I'll back off but, only because Siriana asked. Samurai don't count me as an ally, if I get the chance I will watch you die.
Issac's flames vanished. He turned to the gunner.

As if to prove a point, Issac did a cartwheel and then sat down on the ground.

Cedric put his pistol away.
"Next time, I won't warn you."
He began the party's trek into the woods.
"By the way, skull, check your health. It's at about four right now."

Jericho climbed high into a tree. He looked down upon the group of demons and chuckled.
They certainly have a long way to go if they plan on defeating Lloyd.

Issac healed himself with a potion he had found along with the amulet.

Skulls... a battle? Again? I was honestly getting tierd, so I tried to keep heals and buffs at minimum and didn't overdo myself. As Isaac began a fight, I was about to heal him, but stopped, seeing as it better to have him weak.
There was more on my mind than argue over some cursed amulet. I'll have to take a look at that thing later. Thanks to my senses I noticed HP of some skulls drop to zero, withoit senseing any attack shot from our side at it. Unless some skulls got suicidal, there must have been someone else killing them.
There was a faint wave of aura, but it came from above, up in the trees. Even tho I focused all my senses I couldn't even determinate it's class. I casted some defense buffs, in case whatever or whoever was up there would come charging at me. "Who are you." I said looking up in the tree.
If it was capeable of killing skulls, it should hear me.

Shadow killed a few more skulls. When the fight was over, he went up to level 5. After the Samurai and the Red Skull were done fighting, he healed himself.

Cedric took his hat back, and could still hear it ranting... apparently, it didn't like Issac.
The skulls were gone, and everybody got some Exp...

I said with a rather cold tone, but warmed up after. "Well, hopefully you'll get along with this crazy party of ours" I said before turning back to the group.
"Ok, people, skulls gone, let's keep moving..." I felt chilly again. Maybe it was getting rather dark... But aside from colder air, it didn't bother me, my senses worked well in darkness or light.

I kept my senses on the new guy, but approached Youki, to see what the fuss about the amulet was about. Just than I rememberd I never got Bersker's name. "Hey, new person! What's your name? I'm Aurora." I said, turning my face to him, but now walked next to Youki.
"What was that about the amulet?" I asked him quietly, not to be heard about the rest. "There's some serious dark aura emmiting from it."

Somehow it survived the Nine Cuts. I don't believe he will let me near it again.But whatever it is, it needs to go, and therefore I need to perform Kuji-Kiri again.
Cleaning his blade off of Issac blood, Youki returns Tengoku to its sheath.

The healer asked for Jericho's name.
"Jericho."

I noded and smiled lightly at Jericho, than turned back to Youki. "I could probably assist in some way with my aura sense. If I would weaken it with blessings and focus aura on one spot, Kuji-Kiri has nearly no chance of failing, unell we're facing a god here. Currently, that aura meakes me want to vomit. It's waving all around the amulet like a toxic cloud." I said and grimaced slightly.
What I didn't say is that the aura wasn't harmony with the one owning the item, like Cedric's hat. It was litterally feeding from Isaac. I shrugged, partly from the cold, partly form disgust.
Now I turned off most of my senses, I kept on just enough to sense any possible obstacle in front of me. Walking near samurai, I could hear his footsteps and simply followed him.

Not wanting anything to do with the samurai or the healer, who couldn't understand. Issac decided to leave the group and return to wandering alone. Never to return to this group of it's quest.
Issac took off ignoring anyone who spoke to him and soon he disappeared into the distance never to be seen again.

Siriana noticed Issac leaving. She tried to call out to him, but he didn't listen.
"Guess I'll need to find a Fire bow now."

Cedric looked at the rest of the group.
"Well, newbies? Let's get going."
He shook his head, moving deeper into the woods.

Ashamed that he couldn't remove the being from the amulet, Youki followed with the group.

Cedric stepped over a fallen branch, noticing what looked like a clearing up ahead.
"What's this I hear about a raid on Yuiska's castle? Got an army ready to take down Lloyd or something?"

The entire Saigyouji clan is increasing their daily training to prepare. Our forgemasters are working constantly making new weapons and armor.

"Sounds like you've been preparing for some time now. Got a battle strategy?"
Trudging closer to the clearing, Cedric noticed something tall and narrow jutting out of the ground, with a slight increase in thickness at the top.
*Gasp*... Maybe it's a STICK!

With a burst of life, I suddenly shout to the group.
"Guys, this could be a trap. It's a trap!"
Am I too paranoid? Or is my instinct warning me?

Cedric cracked his neck, turning to face the ninja.
"Uh... Probably. That's why I'll lead the way."

Youki lets out a sigh as he makes his way over to the gunner.
Traps violate Chugi. I'll have to assist.

Cedric took a step into the clearing.
"Seeing as my life is now in your hands... what'd you say your name was, samurai?"

Shadow followed Cedric and the others. He couldn't smell many animals in these woods, which was odd. Sometimes there were so many scents that it interfered with his hunting. Then the Ninja yelled, and Shadow noticed something tall and narrow sticking out of the ground.
"That looks more like a stick than a trap."

I heard some fuss over a stick, so I expanded my senses to examine The Stick in a middle of clearing. It looked way too smooth and man-made to be natural. "Still looks like a stick to me... I might have aura sens but I don't have X-ray vision to see if there's anything hidden below it." I said, slightly grumpy at the time. "If it's safe, we could camp here for the night. I hear a stream narby."

Cedric moved closer to the stick jutting out of the ground.
Oh, well that's not just a stick, it's-
"It's a staff. Looks like it's in pretty good shape, too."
He took another step forward. One footfall too many, as it happened. As his foot hit the ground, the dirt and grass was broken by what appeared to be a large catapult concealed under the thin layer of earth. Cedric was launched across the clearing, slamming headfirst into a tree.
You stupid idiot! I'm still up here, you know!"

"A staff?!" I said, getting a bit excited. If it was in a good shape and useable, I'd be more than happy to call it mine.
My plans vanished as I sensed Cedric get launched in a tree. "Oh, my overlord! Are you ok?" I healed that two HP loss he got in a blink, as I ran to him... well, ran as fast as my healer grown would allow me to. "Do you think there's more traps around there?" I asked, still having some ideas of getting my hands on that staff.

Cedric lifted himself to his feet.
"Ugh... probably. Not many, though. That trap seemed like it would take a while to plant on its own."

"Ooooh, I want to get to that staff! But.. to plant on it's own... I never heard of traps like that... Do you think this staff has such magical power to plant traps around it?" I said, corncerned. Sure, I wanted to get that weapon, but I'm not risking a chance to get thrown head front in a tree.

Cedric looked up the tree, noticing a good-sized dent where his head had struck it. He cracked his back.
"I wouldn't put it past the thing. Might've been made by a mage. They don't have all that much control over their magic compared to skulls."

Youki gives another sigh.
A stick that couldn't be made by natural means standing straight up in the middle of a clearing. Try to be a little more careful.
Using Tengoku, he wedges the stick out of the ground.

Using Tengoku to slide the sword over to him, Youki bends down to pick it up.

Cedric takes notice of Youki's shovel-like use of his sword.
"Aren't Samurai supposed to... I don't know, respect their weapons a bit more than that?"

Our swords are extensions of our arm. I merely used my arm to retrieve the staff from the ground where there was obviously a trap. But we can still see them as a means to an end. We have an upmost respect for our blades, even giving them names, as they hold our warrior spirit. This one,

Is Tengoku. And this one, He says, tapping the much larger, longer sheath that he had yet to pull the blade from.

Cedric removed a fist-sized item bag from his waist, tossing it to the Samurai.
"Here, put the staff in there for now."

I sensed Youki retrive the staff. "Familiar? Do you know who could it belong to?" I asked Cedric. "Oh, Youki can I take a look at the staff?" Now that I was closer I felt this wasn't just an ordinary staff you can buy in shops.

Ah, I've heard of these, but I've never seen one before. Youki says, eyeing it before putting the staff inside, impossibly engulfing it.
Amazing. If we were to have these back home, it would be much easier to carry our armor around when at war.
Hearing the healer, he reaches in, and pulls the wooden rod back out, carefully holding it in front of her.

I started to get a flash of memory, in it, I saw the Staff being held by the leader of our village, Then I heard a Name, Kikora. Then, more memories flooded my mind, unfortunately, so much, that I couldn't understand them, an Overlapping echo.. Then... Pain. I let out a scream, and then fell unconcious.

I rached my hand out for staff, holding it. "Woooow, this is such a masterpiece! The Magic it absorbed, the texture, the size.. it's really amazing~!" I went totally out of charecter. Just now I trully 'saw' this staff. Without second thought I replaced it with my previous one.
Just than, Alora screamed and feel on ground. I gasped, and checked her HP in flash. No physical damage. I steped ovet to her, sat down next her and put her head in my lap, tilting her head on side. "She passed out." Now, an unconcious was quite the problem...

Shadow was studying the staff. Something about it felt weird. It was like there was something emanating from it. He couldn't tell what it was, but it just felt weird. He stared at it for a while, until Alora screamed and passed out.

Smiling as the healer took the staff from him, Youki turned back to the gunner. Taking a glance at the collapsed celestial as he did it.
Onwards? I don't believe there's anything left for us here.

As useful as your ability to see auras is, you still can't see the trap. Let me help.

Cedric closed his eyes and nodded.
"Yeah... We should get out of here before nightfall. The trees around here are pretty much giant jackasses. Every day, they're in a different pattern, and the forest is shaped completely differently."

Shadow turned his attention away from the staff. He could still feel the magic inside of it. It didn't feel menacing, so it didn't really matter. He followed Cedric and Youki deeper into the forest.

Slowly, darkness gave way to light, and my vision was greeted by Aurora.
"I know of that staff... It is not of this world... When I was beginning my Archer's training as a Host, Somehow... one of the Mages of the Netherworld stole it from our Master, after slaying him.. That's all I can remember."

Cedric trudged onwards, pushing shrubs away as he passed through the trees. Quite abruptly, the Gunner's trek was interrupted by a sharp pain in his side as a dark figure collided with him, carrying him away from the rest of the group. Cedric made a haphazard attempt to speak, but the collision had knocked the wind out of him.
I bet you regret not being a ninja now, don'tcha? A nice dodge stat might have come in handy right there.
After he'd been taken out of sight, Cedric was pinned by his throat to a tree. The figure's face became visible as it entered a ray of light. A Majin, high tier. Omega Sentinel.
"You. You're the Gunner planning to usurp Lloyd."
In addition to his lack of oxygen, the echoing voice of the monster of a man was causing Cedric's head to spin.
I'm going to allow you to live. For now. But remember, Gunner, your fate is sealed. I will kill you the day you enter Lloyd's castle.
The Sentinel released its grip on Cedric's throat, dashing away as the Gunner fell to the ground.
Well, kid, I'd like to say it's been nice knowing ya'. Hey- maybe you could get one of your cronies to dig you a grave!
Ignoring his hat, he stumbled back towards the group. An Omega Sentinel opposing the party meant bad news for their venture.

She doesn't care. I don't really, either, as much as it hurts to be on the same page as someone else.
