Title: Some Art
Post by: Bryan on January 10, 2012, 05:39:20 PM
This is just a few things I put together for a Pokemon Fan Based game I was working on. It was actually my game, but didn't have many people to help. Since my expertise is Pixel Art/Art, and not programming.

A 800x600 login menu. Not Complete.

A Character Sprite. I'm still trying to make the side views a bit better.
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v281/UkyoMetro/character-sprite.png)

The Character Sprite clothed. Anatomy, and paperdolling are my weakness.

Some tiles. Still working on the grass to dirt transaction there.

Different types of houses, mostly just roof recolors. If you haven't noticed, I'm trying to attempt a different type of view from above.

New Sprite for my Pokemon Fan Game.

Just showing paperdoll and layers of clothes.

This is in no way or form, advertisement. So please, just enjoy the eye candy, and post any criticism you may have. Feel free to voice your opinion.

Thanks, and enjoy!

These look really good. You should consider the pixel art team here.

I really digg a lot of your work.

If you still have a go on creating a Pokemon MMO, then you should join us in the chat, Bryan.

:)

If Pokemon had more variety in house it would be better but I like what you did. The 2nd character pixel looks skinny to me and like he works in a burger joint. The PokeSage looks amazingly sexy!

@TheSolx
Thanks Sol, Mewtwo is preety smexy. I'm a Psychic fan. >:)

@Cortex J
Yea, I might consider it. I just wanna see how active the community is, and at the moment, I'm trying to find some up-to-date threads/topics on what has been created. Everything seems out of date, or possibly, I'm just a tard and can't find anything. Lol.

@Kamaran
Thanks Kam, I'm thinking my best bet on creating an Pokemon MMO is with a well established Pokemon MMO. And Pokemon Universe has tickled my interests.

@Reafer
Thanks Reaf, I can do a whole bunch of designs for houses. They don't have to be restricted to the Pokemon type house on their tileset. I plan on making city buildings here in a couple of days, and possible different variety of homes.
And for the sprites, I'm either going tom perfect them, or start from scratch. Maybe something more chibi, for the livelihood of the Pokemon Games.

Appreciate the feedback, I'll post more as I complete them; maybe make this thread a little more appealing over time. :P

I like your work but I'm just saying when it comes down to Pokemon art work for houses you are restricted by a lot. When you post your city you should add a some tiles in so that it comes together as a picture of mew inside a ball

Isn't that picture Arceus?

@Reafer: I'm sure Bryan has a lot more tiles that together would make a perfect city.

Idk who it is and I just used it as an example. I'm just saying cause I think a giant round center piece of a pokemon in the middle of town made from tiles would like awesome.

I could do that too. I'll see what I can come up with. I'll work on some tiles this week, and I'll let the members of the community help add things to it. Hell I might have a full city tileset, in 2-3 weeks.

Well see though.

Idk who it is...
Sorry for going off topic, but... you just posted a TCG-coin with Arceus on it... How do you NOT see that it's Arceus?

Metagross, Salamence, Palkia, Palkia, Arceus, Dialga, Energies, Pearl/Diamond/Platinum starters, MEW!

Anyways, I'm looking forward to see more from Bryan :)

Because I honestly don't like the 4th gen Legendary Pokemon and really don't like all the 5th gen Pokemon enough to learn their names

You should still have been able to see that it wasn't a Mew though...

I never said it was mew if you read my post before I said I used it as an example.
