Well, I needed help with my team and I figured why start this huge amount of topics about teams. Just make one topic for all people to request help. I checked search and didn't get any results so here is the topic.
OK, so I need help with my team first of all.
This is my current SS team:
Feraligator, Blaziken, Umbreon, Gabite, Lucario and Giratina.
The problem is, I feel like the game is to easy with Giratina. If I'm facing the champion and all my Pokemon are dead except a Giratina that knows Thunder, Earth Power, Slash and Fly I think I will win. But I enjoy the challenge of Pokemon. I'm on the eighth Gym Leader, But I still have kanto even after this Pokemon League and of course Red and all the after game stuff. I'm gonna get a Jolteon when I can get my hands on a Thunderstone but I need a replacement Pokemon until then. Or do you think I should keep Giratina? Please help.
-
Well... for in game, you can come up with practically any team to beat the game. If you want to remove Giratina, you'll need a flying type pokemon. You can get okay pokemon where you are in the 20~30 levels. Or you can try the Bug Contest to win a thunderstone earlier ;)
-
What days can I do the Bu Contest?
-
Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays I believe. Today is one of these days :P
-
Just for your information. A lot of the people in the chat have almost every pokemon. And they are willing to trade them to you for nothing. (untrained)
As goes for jolly. You can without a doubt get a perfect Eevee for that matter. Natures and egg move wise.
-
What's an SS team? o.O
-
A team in SoulSilver ^_^

Yay! Thanks for the information.

Maybe, but sadly I don't have Wi-fi anymore.
-
I decided to get Natu. I need flying and don't have a psychic type.

/coughs
Oh, what's this? I have a full box of perfect IV Eevee's just waiting to evolve? Really, though. If people want to request Pokemon trades, they should head over to the Wifi thread. We don't really have a thread for team help, do we? Hrm...
-
well,I need team help too.
my poke team is good, but the moves could be better.
Infernape:
blast burn
thunderpunch
flare blitz
close combat
Luxray:
charge beam
spark
crunch
strengnth
Golem:
rock climb
rock smash
stone edge
rollout
Whiscash:
earthquake
strength (deja vu)
surf
future sight
weavile:
faint attack
cut
ice beam
ice punch
Crobat:
wing attack
air slash
poison fang
fly
help?
-
Golem would do well with Earthquake instead of Rock Smash, Explosion instead of Roll Out.
Whischash maybe curse instead of Strength?
Weavile Night Slash, Avalanche instead of Faint Attack and Ice Beam. Slash is better than cut if you like a purely offensive moveset. I'd suggest a status/protect move.
Crobat may be better off with Poison Jab instead of Wing Attack. And perhaps double team instead of Air Slash

Hey guys I'm actually having a bit of trouble making a HG/SS team...
It's based around the letter F, and required Farfetch'd in it. (Painful, no?)
Anyway I have 7 candidates, 6 slots (I already have a Feraligatr in a team so I'm not using it)
Farfetch'd (required)
Flareon
Floatzel
Flygon
Furret
Froslass
Foretress
Most of these are pretty Physical, but Flygon can definitely run a Specs set.
I'm thinking of using Foretress as Dual-Screen + Rapid Spin support, with Explosion for lulz, Farfetch'd as a BPer, to pass to Flareon/Furret (Flareon can sweep with Agi + Swords Dance) - with Flygon as a Spec Revenge-Killer, and Floatzel as a Physical Attacker, probably Lead.
The team is kinda made out of shambles atm, anyone got any better ideas?
-
I would take out Furret if I were you. Because it and farfetched are normal type. Also it doesn't really learn that many good moves. It's strongest move is Hyper voice and it doesn't learn that until level 56. That's just my opinion though.
Anyone knoqw any good moves for the Xatu that is on my team now? It knows: Confuse Ray, Fly, Pluck and U-turn. Is that good or should I teach it some new ones?
Also do you guys know where a Heart Scale is on Soul Silver?

What moves can it learn, (See Xatu Movepool.)

Heart Scale: Pokewalker
My Xatu has: Wish, Protect, Shadow Ball, Psychic - it has Speed and SpD EVs IIRC.
Furret is Physically oriented, so Hyper Voice isn't that useful - it does learn Return however :D
Also, if I were to take someone out atm, it'd prob be FF'd XD
Anyway, sorted it out.
FF'd -> Passer to Flareon -> Sweeper.
Furret -> Revenge Killer, Flygon -> LO'd Special Attacker
Forretress -> Support, Floatzel -> Physical Attacker/Utility
Just need to work out how to make my Flareon tank Surfs and KOs Bulky Waters XP
I think he'll need help from Flygon with HP Elec/Grass for that.
-
I need a cool team for my FireRed. I can have any Pokemon from gen 1-3 except Legends. None of the Pokemon matter to me. I just want a tough team, 2 Pokemon from each Gen would be cool though. I may say no to a few Pokemon but I'm mainly OK with anything.
-
Dragonite, Jolteon, Umbreon, Skarmory, Metagross, Sceptile...
well, it's all up to you, you have so many pokemon available.
-
I think I might do that. Except Sceptile, Skamory and Umbreon. I just over use Sceptile and am training an Umbreon on SoulSilver. I'll think of those three, but I hadn't thought of Metagross or Dragonite, thanks.
-
Take a Shiftry, Forettress and Tropius as a challenge :P
-
Haha, I might actually do that. Or maybe ALL of one type :o!

Team poopFish:
Luvdisc,

Firstly, it's all fish... but no Magikarp?! I am disappoint Pidgey. I am disappoint. However, I can tell by the fact that you aren't using him it's "supposed" to be competitive, amirite? Well, in that case, how does classification of fish begin? Through type, dex entry, shape, appearance? All, none?

thanks, I'll make the changes now.
P.S I tried, pioson jab and crobat aren't compatible.(stupid T.Ms)

Perhaps he meant Poison Fang, which Crobat can learn. However, I'd check to see which is higher first on your Crobat. Special Attack or Attack. If Attack is higher, then Poison Fang is a solid choice. If its Special Attack is higher, then moves like Air Slash would be better.

It's supposed to be competitive, and, those are the ones I'm using so XP

Tanking SR Corsola?

Modest / Natural Cure
252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
~ Recover

~ Ice Beam
~ Stealth Rock

Sorry, mistake from my part (I'm not used yet by all the Gen IV moves >.<).
You can teach it X-Scissor for psychic pokemon instead of Air Slash (if it's a Crobat with more attack than special attack). Having Wing attack, Fly and Air cutter is not that useful since you have three damaging attacks of the same type with relatively no difference in secondary effects.

Well in that case, we'll have a bit of an issue. Most of the 'pokes types and movesets don't really help each other at all. You'll pretty much have to limit it down to 'wall, wall, tank, attack, attack, utility.' Otherwise, the team will be even worse. :s
In that case, Kamaran posted a pretty awesome set for a Tanking SR Corsola. (Never tried it, so I can't say how effective it is, but I imagine it would work just fine if played properly.)
I think you should go with the DD Version of Whiscash, honestly. His new toy is incredibly fun. (Hehe.) It actually made him pretty viable in UU for a while before his popularity dropped off. Personally, I used Rock Slide for the better accuracy. You always notice misses so much more on boosting 'mons, you know?
Dragon Dance @ Life Orb
Anticipation / Adamant
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Waterfall
- Rock Slide
For Seaking... Well, Pidgey... You're using Seaking. What do you expect? I can only remember him having two sets. CBand and a Flail one, iirc. So, I'd recommend the CBand one. Lest you have two set up 'mons.
Now, on to Wailord... Mmm, how Skitty on Wailord action... Uh, I mean... Give him a CScarf, obviously! -Coughs.- But, really. Weaker Kyogre? Hell, that doesn't matter. He hits hard with Water Spout. As you know, I modify all of my movesets and stats for personal preference, so this is mine, but you can use theirs:
Wailord @ Choice Scarf
Water Veil / Naive
EVs: 24 HP / 252 SpA / 232 Spe
- Water Spout
- Surf
- Selfdestruct
- Hidden Power Grass
On to... Luvdisc. Err, yeah. How about you just give it four random moves and hope it doesn't die in a single shot? Really though, probably the annoyer set is as good as you're getting for that. And, also iirc, Lumineon only has one set. A Rain Dance one, which isn't bad. As it would give you a second stand alone sweeper, but you would still lack overall defense. So, the best candidate for that would be either Wailord or Lumineon. (Average defenses and HP. Not really good, but meh. You're using chansey Seaking.)

Team poopfish was poop so I released them all >.>
